They cancelled on me the late the night before the booking. I rang them and they couldn't give a crap, I couldn't get a hotel anywhere due to it being bank Holidays. I was attending a wedding travelling from Swansea, they ruined the weekend. The customer service is shocking.

We booked 12 rooms. Rooms were good but most had silly little problems from no working TV, to cold water from Shower, no sink plugs,etc...all of which could have been sorted with little more care. Workers at the hotel tried hard but were not really used to working in a hotel as they didn't have a clue. large party of 28 for Christmas dinner menu was a complete disaster. Room layout for party was excellent but the food let the party badly down. Kitchen facilities didnt allow for heating plates so all food came out cold. Some was not cooked properly, most of our party complained about the main meal and didnt bother to eat the pudding. Coffee was cold due to them forgetting to turn on the water urn. We got a partial refund for the dinner. Cooked breakfast was ok both days we stayed but again they had problems catering for large parties, as the cooked food ran out and was not refreshed until we complained. At £95 per night for B&B it was not upto standard. At £40 per head for the Christmas dinner menu was very poor and whilst the manager and staff were very friendly and apologetic we would not go there again.. Over £3000 paid for 26 people. Service should have been better. I hope it improves as it used to be a great hotel and with some changes and a good Hotel organiser in place it could become a good hotel again.

Our room was fine. The main problem for us is that if you like chilling out in the hotel bar and having a meal, you have a problem! Last week I had an email from the Regency asking if I wanted a meal deal, two courses in the restaurant for £17 each, happy with that. I even got another email back confirming I'd booked extras. Now the problem surfaced, we booked in and by chance I asked could we have the food in the bar instead, and the receptionist didn't have a clue what I was on about, they hadn't done food in the evening for months! I was livid, we had actually changed from a different hotel as they had the grace to tell us that they weren't doing food in the evening during November. Imagine if I hadn't mentioned the food and had come into the bar hungry? As it happened we popped into a local shop and had food in the room.

I booked as a last minute 1 night stay... then read the reviews. I told my daughter who I was staying with "I think we're going to be staying in the worst hotel ever going by the reviews" I couldn't be more wrong. Now it was room only so didn't use any facilities. I booked a classic double/twin. We were checked in without issue, the receptionist seemed to offer for us to check our room first - i assume following bad reviews. It was spacious, nice decor and clean. Well worth the money. There was a lack of toilet roll and only 2 pillows on the king size bed (which could be split in 2) i went to reception to ask for more of both. Pillows and rolls delivered within 5 mins, with another check we were happy with the room. I was left feeling nothing was too much trouble. The bed was so comfy, black out curtains amazing, and heard no noise all day and night. My only qualms... My daughter had a lovely hot shower, when I had mine it was just about warm The TV remote batteries were dead Would have liked tea and coffee making facilities Back car park had no lighting and was pitch black when we arrived back from a meal out, needs a flood light. Apart from that, for the money, can't fault it. I commute to Gloucester fir work so will definitely be using here when I'm too tired for driving.

Booked at the last minutes so wasn't expecting anything much but when arrived there we were amazed. our room was clean and relaxing. The bed was comfortable and large also gave us sofa bed for my child. The colour theme of the room was pleasant. We had our breakfast outside terrace as it was lovely warm day.

Booked for 2 nights with breakfast. Reception a mess with open Amazon boxes and paper everywhere. Lady there helpful . Power went out at 8am and no hot water, and obviously no breakfast. Asked for refund for 2nd night as not staying. Boy said manager in Manchester. Said I wasn't leaving until refund. Looked like he put one through (had receipt) but they took back the money the next day. Said power was a local issue - a lie! The electricity company van was pulling up at the hotel as we spoke. Not the first time either.

Booked for 1 night b+b. Arrived and went to reception, girl on there didn’t seem to know what was happening Took ages to find our booking. Gave key to room 104, when husband went for shower no hot water. I then went back to reception who made no apology, told me to try room 105, still no hot water. Back to reception again to find 5 other people complaining of same thing. Receptionist said could be the boiler. We then decided to check out, no apologises from staff. Now fighting to get refund.

First time reviewer. I've stayed in hotels and hostels all over the world and I had to stay here 4nights for work. No hot water No air conditioning(probably a good thing as definitely wouldn't be clean) Lights sparked first morning and then wouldn't turn back on Dirty towels Dirty carpets (food stains, hairs) Beds were very very itchy although looked. Clean enough. Barely a reception desk. I complained about the hot water and lights only difference in the second room was the lights didn't pop out. Never again

Good points !! Getting in the car to leave Arrived at this hotel at 12.10pm to no one at reception after finally locating them 30mins later we was told there was no rooms available. After another 30minutes we was told that they was no family rooms available which is what was paid for. After going out to the event we had travelled 4hrs to attend we arrived back to the hotel to still be told they did not have a room for us. We finally got a room at 11pm but not what we booked a twin room not a family room. No towels Fridge not working Air conditioning not working ( Very hot rooms ) Very dusty and rubbish still in bins. If all of this was not bad enough there was a power cut so no one could eat breakfast unless they like it cold and no one could get ready.

The hotel name does not represent the experience of staying in this hotel. Poor customer service on arrival and poor checking in. Problems resolving room change from twin to double. Only 2 staff on, one always having to defer to the other. We eventually managed to sort out refund for not staying for breakfast. Would not recommend unless your looking for that faulty towers experience.

The cleanliness is poor, The communication is Terrible. Beds extremely uncomfortable! I was left to figure out the sofa bed and make the bed up myself. The whole place is tired, unkept and understaffed. Wouldn’t stay here again if they paid me! 2 bath towels given for a family if 4, room stunk of damp. Maybe this is why the windows on all rooms are wide open on arrival. Lobby stinks of cigarettes. No idea what the breakfast was like as there was apparently a power cut. Avoid at all costs! Major refurbishments needed. And housekeeping need retraining

We had booked two rooms at the Regency to break up a long journey so just needed a basic, no frills gaff to put our heads down for the night. And it did not disappoint.Upon arrival at the dull, unnatactive building off a country road, we were handed two sets of room keys which had previous room numbers crossed off.A worrying start which was punctuated by the discovery of another guest already checked into one of the rooms! However, after this boudoir blunder was rectified, we reconvened at the bar to settle in with a few pints in front of the tele.Here we were introduced to a premium Spanish lager called Madri, a thoroughly enjoyable drop of beer worth £5 of anyone's money.Suitably refreshed after a comfortable night's sleep in the hotel's spacious beds, we were able to perk ourselves up with the complimentary tea and coffee which is efficiently stored in the cupboard under the TV.We were then able to hit the road instantly thanks to the convenient on-site parking and prime location just off the M5.We would not hesitate to stay here again: the rooms are basic and the facilities are dated, but the staff were very friendly and accommodating and we hear management have big plans to spruce up the place.Overall a reasonably priced hotel that does exactly what it says on the tin.

Booked 2 rooms via booking.com. Reservation for both rooms stated as Air Conditioning included in price paid. This was not the case. Neither beforehand nor at check in were we informed AC was not working (it was a spell of hot weather at the time) and had not been working for the past few weeks. No one at reception on check in, and when staff member arrived could not initially find our booking. Before unpacking spoke to staff member regarding non-working AC and was informed that had not been working for past few weeks and at best could offer us a fan, The fans were not fit for purpose and did not have the function of blowing cool air! Again after waiting ages to find a staff member, I explained the fans were not fit for purpose and had we been advised the AC was not working we would have cancelled our booking and gone elsewhere. I asked to speak to the manager regarding compensation but advised manager was not due in until late evening. I was promised that this would be addressed on check out. At time of checkout was offered a free breakfast which we declined as we had reservations elsewhere or a 30% discount on the total price paid which was accepted. However, the staff member could not authorise this and the manager was not due in until later that morning. I was advised the manager would call me to process this later in the day. After chasing up finally spoke to the manager, Hafeez, who said he was driving at that time and anyway he could not process anything until I send in an e mail. I asked him to text me his e mail address and never heard back. Followed up with booking.com by e mail and had no response from them. Had to call booking.com and was told they will speak to hotel and call me back. This did not happen. Got in touch with booking.com again and received notification that the original offer of 30% refund now retracted and NO compensation would be offered by the hotel. Have requested a member of the management team at booking.com contact me and have heard nothing back. Booking.com very unsupportive in the whole matter as were hotel. I will be following this up with my credit card company.

When we arrived there seemed to be some issue with our reservation which required 4 members of staff to crowd behind the reception and mutter to each other whilst completely ignoring us… Our room key just had our room number handwritten on it with about 4 others crossed out. There was also a sign that said the air con was broken (on the hottest week of the year) and sorry for the inconvenience. Finally got to our room after what seemed like lots of uncertainty and there was no fan in the room in lieu of air con, only one towel between us and no bottles of water or spare pillows. The bins in the room also didn't seem to have been emptied since the last guest. The phone in the room didn’t have an easy option to call reception, no one was around and at 10 o’clock at night we thought we’d just deal with it. We were then left with a choice of opening the window and having to listen to the significant traffic noise or closing the window and boiling to death! Just as we started to get used to the traffic noise (it really was too hot to sleep with the window closed) someone started playing really really loud Indian Dance music at 1am… it sounded almost like it was coming from reception. When that finally stopped, someone started banging around and doing some DIY or something next door! (The walls are so thin you can hear someone snoring from 2 rooms away). I don’t think I actually managed to sleep until about 3:30am which almost ruined the wedding that we’d stayed overnight to attend at another venue the next day. We wished to talk to someone and ask for a refund when we checked out but no one was on reception nor anywhere else to be seen. Definitely don’t stay if you want a good nights sleep!!! Awful, awful stay.

I suppose we should have known but we had pre booked it.On arrival every window wide open (why?) , a notice inside ‘we are sorry but the air con has broken down’.We were offered a meal at a very good rate, booked, response went appropriately into junk, ‘the kitchen is not offering lunch or evening meals at this moment, just breakfast’ (why offer it then? - it was a separate email to me).It didn’t help the male receptionist looking quite scruffy in a pair of very baggy track suit bottoms, English not his preferred language who had difficulty in finding our name, even when given a copy of our booking.The key card for the room had five other rooms written on it, crossed out and ours entered.We booked a ground floor ‘courtyard view’, no idea what the courtyard looks like, the brambles and weed are some 2.5 metres tall and growing into some of the open windows. The air con appears to have been ‘broken down’ for some time!The room, (2 nights) set up for a couple, had one bath towel, one hand towel and toiletries for one for one night. If we thought this unusual another guest turned up,at reception, to complain about exactly the same thing.Don’t worry about anyone stealing anything from your room during the day, no one entered to service the room, everything left as we left it, no clean towels etc.We did pre book breakfast at £10.00 each for the two days, not a bad breakfast, but you don’t save anything it costs that at the table (see photo of menu). I should point out there is a Harvester pub chain 7/10 ths of a mile along the same road, cooked breakfast £5.95 (similar breakfast).I have noted previous fairly decent reviews for this place but it appears it was previously a Best Western (franchise?) but this sign has been removed, just wonder why.Extremely very unprofessionally run.The room, no fridge, no bottled water, clean, the bed comfortable, plenty of hot water, but the lack of air con does mean the room becomes very hot.

So picked this hotel as was visiting friends and it had a convenient location for the outskirts of Gloucester. Drew up, a sad looking traffic cone differentiating the entrance and exit. The building looked in need of substantial renovation. The Satnav had it down as A Best Western but that had been removed from the title above the entrance. Litter in the car park as well as a profusion of weeds, dead flowers and overflowing rubbish bins perhaps gave the impression of a place on its last legs.Entered the lobby, greeted by a member of staff who seemed marginally unsure of basic check in process. Keycard had the number hand written on it and when I entered the room, the door ‘stuck’ and the bed was ‘soggy’ with two thin pillows attached. All in all, not the most auspicious start. And yet, come further examination, some unexpected bonuses - ample hangers for clothes, a fridge in the room (both rare in chain hotels now) and come the morning the shower was excellent - very powerful and with a good temperature.So the rooms were actually reasonably good. However, the reception and after service was average to poor. Clearly the new management has ambition but they need better execution, it was hard to know what was a holdover from the previous regime and what was new but clearly the place needs major renovation and investment in the kitchen. That said - it was excellent value and if some of the points are addressed and it retains this pricing structure it could do well - hence the three star rating.

No reception staff at 11pm when we came back from dinner as our card key stopped working and we could not enter our room. We were locked out. Tried all the numbers written at the reception and nobody picked up. There was a note on the desk saying there will be no staff till 7am. We were sat outside reception for 2 hours and no sign of anyone! Extremely poor management. A serious security issue if there's no hotel staff at that time. What if there was a fire? Or theft? We want our money back!!

APPALLING MANAGEMENT - sadly blamed staff and booking agencies for falsely advertising non-existent or broken facilities and features, such as NO AIRCONDITIONING. Other guests complained of the same and were told that booking.com was responsible. HOTEL'S OWN WEBSITE ADVERTISED THE SAME!HOTEL ROOMS IMMACULATELY CLEAN - 'Millie' helpful and exceptionally hard working, as was Karen on first night when checking IN. Commendations to both! FOYER AND RESTAURANT FILTHY with dried food on tables remaining day after day. Carpeted floors badly needed cleaning as crumbs and food scraps built up day by day. Hotel has potential but (new!) management needs to change and develop integrity before it will ever be a success.

Worst experience I’ve ever had with a hotel. Would not recommend to anyone. We arrived at 1pm in the afternoon to no receptionist. I called a mobile number and eventually someone arrived after having to wait for some time. He arrived in sliders, a jumper and joggers - this should have warned me at the level of customer services this hotel thinks is acceptable. We get checked into our room, which smells, needs painting and is extremely stuffy. No fan in the room and the air con was broken. The bathroom was dusty and the bath covered in marks. We were going out for food and requested that when we return could we please be given a new room with air con. At this point the lady behind the counter rudely stopped talking to another customer(who was also complaining at the state of the hotel) to inform me she didn’t know if they had rooms for us to be ‘swapping around.’ And then proceeded to inform me that the air con is under maintenance and that anyway they do not advertise air con. This is a lie!! They do advertise it on booking.com and their own website. At this stage I asked for the manager to be told he would be here for when we got back from having some lunch.On our return the rude, obnoxious lady had disappeared and left a young man on his own. I then asked to speak to the manager, to be told he’s been and gone and that I had to go back to booking.com for my money. I had paid the hotel directly! I then demanded to talk to the manager and was given the mans personal mobile to speak to him. The manager told me he had gone our for tea and would not be back and that he would not deal with my refund. I explained that he knew he had unhappy customers, and leaving a very junior staff member to deal with unhappy customers wanting a refund was unprofessional and unfair on the poor boy. He then tried to put me off by saying he would be 30 minutes - to which I told him I would gladly wait. Low and behold 10 mins later he called the young boy and I got my refund. So another lie told by the hotel that they could not give me my money back when they could - how many other peoples money have they taken with this lie!? The worst customer service, the staff are outright liars and the hotels is in disrepair and dirty. Never mind three stars, it doesn’t deserve one.

I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. Hasif and Karen provided excellent customer service and the room was exceptional value for money. Karen was a pleasure to chat to and her commitment to service was brilliant. I would recommend this hotel highly to any prospective customers.

I don't know what's happened to this place since my last visit in 2019, but it was genuinely a disappointment to see the hotel in such a state. The walls and carpets are so shabby, now, and the mattress on the bed badly needed replacing.There was literally one (very old, very thin and unsupportive) pillow per person on the bed, and only two aged spares in the wardrobe, and so I had to ask for more. Cups and glasses were also missing. The aircon didn't work either, and on our final night I woke up in the early hours freezing cold.We stayed for three nights, and not once did anybody come to clean our room. We're not the kind of people to make a mess, but we do like clean sheets and for the bathroom bin to be emptied! We even had to buy our own toilet rolls because the ones supplied were dusty and looked to be about 100 years old.With all of this said, I would like someone to pass my thanks to the young lad who was on duty on the Friday afternoon when we checked in. He didn't know the hotel or the area very well, and yet he was stuck on his own all day having to flounder about and struggle. Couldn't someone experienced have been around for the poor man to shadow? We felt that it was most unfair to him to be stuck there on his own like that.It's a place to lay your head, but it's actually quite a depressing place to be. We've only ever stayed here when there's been nowhere else in our budget available, and we have paid the same amount per night for far better in the past.

Clearly under new management very recently. Lots of issues with the room - air con not working, shower controls stuck in very hot, extractor in bathroom not working. Otherwise room was ok. Very limited restaurant menu - basically burgers and that’s it. Had to go out to a pub for a meal. Good cooked breakfast but no “real coffee” at breakfast only powdered instant. Limited staff rushing around doing everything. Although those we encountered were very helpful. Overheard others who had stayed here quite a bit saying it had gone down hill. Heard the words “penny pinching” a few times from regulars.

It was ok,did not expect any more,this is a 3star hotel,some moaners tend to expect 5 star service ,then let them go and pay 5* prices,the price here is too cheap and you get good service,very clean rooms,massive private car park,its quite,the staff are very helpful,the dining area huge,the terrace nice to sit out on for your dink or meal,even a turfedgarden area and not forgetting a 40/42 TV,that works,the breakfasts,ours was cooked to order and huge,had one evening meal as we late back to go into town and that was no problem for them,the gammon was the only poor quality,very small,tough and tasteless,still as said was past meal time.Staff very good and nothing too much trouble,massive car park,as for some reviews that slated this hotel,maybe they are out of date and meant for previous owners as this hotel is under new ownership,we found no fault for what we expect a 3* hotel to be and keep up the service it will go higher in *ratings and shall stay there again.GT of Brighton Sussex room 227 on 12/16 June 2021

Booked a night here in May 2021 through Booking.com with my husband for a romantic getaway. The hotel felt a bit dead and the decor very tired when we got there. Clearly only one member of staff on duty who took a while to appear. When we got to our room, we found that the bed sheet didn’t fit the bed so some of the top of the mattress was exposed. The sheet basically wasn’t big enough to tuck in to the mattress. The man on duty tried to be very helpful and bumped us up to a ‘suite’. Basically a bigger room. I tried to take a shower but the water was scalding hot. The cold water only dribbled out. Same thing in the bath. So basically, an unmade bed and an unusable shower…a decent bed and shower are surely the bare minimum for a night away! I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone and won’t be returning. We left requesting a refund and stayed in the Jury’s which was great. I was promised a refund on May 23rd but still haven’t received it 3 weeks later! AVOID!!!

Reservé este hotel mediante reserva. com que claramente establece No prepago. 2 días después, el hotel tomó el dinero completo por 3 habitaciones y desde entonces he estado buscando un reembolso. Clasifíquelos tres veces, están de acuerdo en que no debería haberse tomado, pero solo la oficina central puede reembolsarlos y no puede llamarlos. "Les hemos enviado un correo electrónico" es lo más cercano a un reembolso que hasta ahora. Saga en curso, pero no reserve este hotel a menos que quiera pagar en su totalidad ahora.

Reception smart and well mannered. Foyer a bit of a let down with regards to looks. Bedroom as photo, spotlessly clean, ground floor window opened wide, which was wonderful for sleeping as I have hot flushes. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was good, wide selection of fruit. Only one type of jam on offer. They just need to wipe the shelf where the salt and pepper is kept, not dirty, just full of salt and pepper particles. Staff freindly.

El hotel anunció un evento especial para el día de San Valentín que incluyó una noche, comida de 3 platos, un tributo a Freddie Mercury, discoteca y desayuno al día siguiente por menos de 100 por habitación. Esta oferta era increíble, así que la reservé como un regalo especial para mi esposa y para mí. Aunque todo lo anterior fue muy bueno, la gestión de front-end de todo el evento fue un fiasco total. Todo comenzó cuando hice la reserva. Era como si el personal no hubiera escuchado que estaba ocurriendo un evento. La reserva fue inútil. El personal no dejaba de pasarme para dar los detalles del evento ya que la recepción no tenía idea. Finalmente recibimos confirmación por correo electrónico, habiendo aconsejado una habitación doble en lugar de una doble. Envié un correo electrónico y recibí una respuesta después de una segunda solicitud de respuesta. Nuestro apellido era incorrecto en la respuesta pero se produjo una disculpa eventual. Varios días después recibimos otro correo electrónico pidiéndonos que le aconsejáramos nuestras opciones de comida. No nos habían avisado de las opciones ya que no se había enviado ningún menú. Esto le había sucedido al menos a otros 4 invitados con los que hablamos en el evento. Pedí horarios de inicio para la comida y el espectáculo, pero aún no recibí ninguna respuesta. La reserva fue a las 3:00 y llegamos a las 3:20 y avisamos que las habitaciones aún no estaban listas. El personal parecía correr como pollos sin cabeza. Las habitaciones tenían lavandería en todo el lugar en los pasillos. Finalmente obtuvimos acceso y quedamos encantados con nuestra habitación. Fuimos a la recepción para recoger boletos para el evento como se indicó anteriormente y nos dijeron que no los necesitábamos y que nos llevarían a nuestra mesa a las 7:00. Decidimos tomar una copa en el bar mientras esperábamos que nos dijeran que el bar estaba cerrado. Varios invitados querían una bebida para pasar el tiempo mientras esperaban nuestra comida. Una persona preguntó si todavía era "enero seco". Todo el personal había desaparecido solo para encontrarse con una reunión en el área del evento. Stop over, after long day .Miserable foreign man on evening reception and lovely lady, Larrinda . I was met by Larrinda,(who introduced herself )as I was talking to her she was rudely interrupted by male receptionist who then took over .No name tag or introduction to who he was unlike Larrinda but this unnamed man lacks customer service skills professionalism and manners. Larrinda, apologised, not her fault . I felt he undermined her. I felt for her ..Given room, no hot water, partner rang down unhelpful man on reception didn’t seem to care ,attitude on phone just as bad. We were given key to shower in another room. He should not be on front of desk, not welcoming. Larrinda, was helpful and professional, very welcoming he could learn from her .Room and hotel was very cold .. Restaurant was empty, went out to eat . No atmosphere to the hotel and need of repair.

Entró en el bar, no había nadie allí, tuvo que ir a la recepción por ayuda, se le dijo que saludara a la pantalla del circuito cerrado de televisión si queríamos algo más. Tuve una comida nocturna allí más tarde, promedio de comida en el mejor de los casos, servicio pésimo, solo 2 personas más comieron en Dining Roon, sin embargo, tardó más de 2 horas en servir una comida simple de 3 platos (en platos fríos) El personal estaba bien, pero estaba claramente sobrecargado de trabajo. My husband having lived in Cheltenham all his life had only ever heard good reviews for this hotel and restaurant but we had never been. We saw a Groupon voucher offer so decided to take it up. It was a very reasonable offer for 2 Sirloin steaks/chips and a bottle of wine to the value of £16.95. We arrived and were shown to our table, which already had a bottle of wine on it, it wouldn't have been our choice but we weren't offered anything else. We were then asked how would we like our steaks cooked, we had had a look at their usual menu on line and would have liked a starter, but that wasn't going to happen, my husband asked for a pint of lager and that took ages to turn up. The restaurant wasn't busy with about 6 tables of 2 people and some of them had finished. Our meal came and it looked good. My steak was fine, we have or steak blue so if the steak isn't good it doesn't work, my husbands steak was awful, he never complains so I didn't know, we took it home for the dog. Yes we were wrong we should have sent it back and given them the chance to put it right but there were so many other things going wrong in the restaurant with other tables it was just better to ask for the bill and go. We only had to pay for a pint of lager, we asked for the bill it didn't come, we asked for the bill again it didn't come, the other waitress came over so we asked her for the bill, she told us the other waitress was new, anyway the outcome was the till couldn't produce a bill as people only put their drinks to their room accounts

I stayed here and at first I thought Mm because the room wasn't ready but then found out there was a gypsie wedding and the trashed the place. The staff did a great job cleaning it up. They got me another room. The staff were fantastic and fun. Marc and Riannon in the bar are great. I'll definitely stay there again. Also the carpark is big and safe. This hotel was the best place to be this weekend. We were there to witness the wedding of Rob and Alice and it was everything it should have been. The wedding planner for the hotel was wonderful and got everything to go to plan. The rooms were lovely and breakfast on Sunday morning was the sort that kept you going for the rest of the day. I got married there in 2000 and it was great then and still is today.

La cena era excelente, una buena elección para los tres campos, muy sabroso y muy bien presentado. El desayuno era igual de bueno - todo lo que quieras, de un bufé de autoservicio (tostadas, té y café servido en la mesa) y sólo tienes que preguntar si te apetece algo especial e preparado. g. ahumados, tortillas, etc. También debería mencionar el personal - muy amable, atento y servicial. Camarera préstamo trabajando, explicó que el hotel había sido muy concurrido durante la semana Gold Cup, pero los residentes había ido esa mañana. Decidimos cenar en el hotel y era bueno. Comida fresca no calentado, insípido cartón. El desayuno era excelente, de nuevo el, tocino, huevos, eran productos de calidad. Las camareras eran simpáticos, y parecía limpia y elegante. Sin duda nos alojaremos allí de nuevo. Me he alojado en hoteles más caros y han recibido una atención mucho menor.

31 2015 Diciembre, 8 amigos reservado en este hotel para una estancia de una noche para ver en 2016 en la cena y baile. La reserva se habían realizado en septiembre con sólo una solicitud adicional, varias veces en un par de visitas. Que la mesa de la cena y baile en la parte trasera de la habitación y no en la Pista de baile. Hicimos la reserva y nos fuimos a nuestras 4 habitaciones. Todas las habitaciones estaban frías, helada. De las 4 habitaciones 2 siguió siendo frío que congelaba por la duración, los otros dos dirigido. Duchas? Dos ocupantes de habitaciones no pudimos tener una ducha durante su estancia y los otros dos conseguido una ducha cada uno. La razón era que, agua fría, salía agua pero falta total de agua caliente. En la entrada al comedor/salón de baile, encontramos nuestro disgusto que la mesa que nos registramos la tarde con todos nuestros nombres, en la parte trasera de la habitación, había cambiado y la mesa estaba en la parte delantera junto a la pista de baile. Nos dijeron que después de la cena nos habían servido a nuestra mesa trasladarían a la parte trasera de la sala. Esto no pasó. La comida era normal y comestible. Luego la discoteca comenzó, y la mitad de nuestro grupo hizo una salida inmediata a la habitación del anexo, en breve seguido por el resto. Incluso en el anexo habitación sólo nos podíamos simplemente hablar unos con otros, el ruido era terrible, incluso tras Disco hombre había pedido una de nuestro grupo si estaba demasiado ruidoso y dijeron que era, nada ha cambiado. Finalmente regresamos a la mesa 30 minutos antes de la medianoche para ver el nuevo año. Todo nuestro amor de fiesta para bailar, de ahí la reserva, a 30 minutos de toda la noche no fue suficiente, pero era todo lo que podía soportar el ruido. Intentamos no estropeara la noche, pero era difícil. Éste fue nuestro segundo año, pero no creo que volveremos el año que viene.

Esta fue la peor interacción que he tenido. Ella era polémica sobre el pago y actuó más como una molestia que ella daba más que pagar los clientes. Una vez llegamos a nuestra habitación nos dieron una habitación con camas individuales en vez de una doble. Por desgracia teníamos que volver a recepción a explicar la situación; yo no creo que podría haber empeorado! nuevo echarles nosotros, la atención al cliente y diciendo que no podía hacer nada! exhorté a ignorar nuestras diferencias de opiniones de lo que habíamos reservado y quizás ayudarnos. Tras ella finalmente llamado alguien había una doble disponible que planteaba la pregunta, ¿por qué no podían haber llamado primero para evitar la situación en vez de nuevo nos trate mal. Nosotros lo hicimos nosotros en el correo electrónico original, que indicó que habíamos reservado una habitación doble pero podría solicitar una habitación con camas individuales. Mi compañero le contó este correo electrónico, pero no hacen una gran diferencia, seguía declaró que era que se confundió. Esto era simplemente terrible servicio; ojalá nos podría haber sido la izquierda con el caballero que originalmente habíamos encontrado! Mi pareja y yo nos fuimos a sentir incómodos y un verdadero inconveniente. La habitación en sí era agradable y limpia, con amplias instalaciones y cómoda cama. We went here for a Valentines 'do' on Saturday. This was not a Hotel organised affair but rather one arranged by a group at the Hotel. It was Ok and the food adequate. The room looked amazing but only because the Organisers of the Do had put in a lot of expense, time and effort to make it so. The reception was totally runined by the length of time it took to get a drink from the bar. Even when we were the only ones at the bar it took far to long and we had been at the reception for over half an hour before getting a drink! The meal was served on time and like I said was average. Would be in no hurry to return - especially if I was thirsty!

I recently had my wedding here and I couldn't thank them enough an absolute fabulous day and evening with a great wedding package. All the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful and the rooms clean and comfortable.We had an excellent breakfast and felt that this was excellent value for money.

The fig & goats cheese salad was amazing & the prawn & avocado sundae was a meal in itself. All the portions for the main courses were excellent. The sticky toffee pudding was to die for.

The weather was awful which might explain why we were the only diners there on Friday and Saturday nights. The attention we received from all the restaurant staff was faultless. There was an excellent choice of food. I chose a steak which was very good and presented well my wife had a duo of pork which looked so inviting I chose it the following night. A reasonable choice of wines for £15- £20.The hotel is of course not in the centre of the town but there is a bus every 10 minutes which stops outside and plenty of parking if you use the car.

Not terrible but not great either: I stayed here for a couple of nights in November and ate in the restaurant each evening because the hotel is pretty remote from everything other than an Indian. The room was fine - plenty of space, hot water, decent shower and reasonably fast broadband. Unusually, the bar had not one but TWO decent beers on tap. That's REAL beer, warm and flat like it should be :-) Full marks for that.Sadly, the food wasn't great. I struggled to find anything inspiring on the menu both nights. On the first, I opted for the special, a Beef stew. As Stews go, it was fine but it's still a stew and at ~ £14 it's pretty steep. On the second night I went for the cod & chips. The Cod was well over-cooked and the portion of chips, rather measly. The mushy peas had clearly been microwaved as they had that dry, boiled look around the edge of the ramekin. They also took the skin off the roof of my mouth! It was edible though but again, hardly good value for money. I had the cheese to finish; The Brie was excellent, the Cheddar less so and the Stilton should have been condemned. Served with biscuits and a red onion marmalade and that was all. Some apple, celery or grapes would have been a nice addition. Another annoying thing here is that they divide up the restaurant bill into food and drinks. If, like mine, your company takes a dim view of alcohol, then you wont be able to lose your pint in the bill for the meal. Frankly, they're shooting themselves in the foot as I would have had a couple more drinks, had this not been the case.On the plus side, all the staff were pleasant and helpful.For 2 nights this was OK but I wouldn't choose to stay here again.

The food here was great, we had Shoulder of Lamb which was very tender. we were very impressed with the main meal, but we also love our desserts. We had Sticky toffee pudding which came with Captain Morgan Rum ice cream - delicious!A great time with very friendly staff.When in the area will definitely be back.

Lucy Evans and all other bar, reception and cleaning staff were helpful and friendly and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable for a family event. The bed was lovely as was the shower and breakfast too

Saturday, 18th May 2024, 1 night. Due to refurbishment, restaurant was closed, so no evening meal or breakfast for us. The room was tidy, clean, and recently decorated. However, the bed was the most uncomfortable I've ever experienced. Although we were expecting a double, it was only 4ft wide and very short. The fitted bottom sheet was too small and kept riding up off the mattress corners. Definitely not worth the £75 per night we were charged.

Had lovely meal, wide choice on the menu. Good quantity food. Staff very helpful and friendly. We had the deal of 2 courses for dinner and buffet breakfast for £26.95p. Very good deal
