Very busy on a Saturday morning. Staff were friendly and the coffee was good.

Lovely small cafe in Henley. Coffee was perfect and homemade cookies was very delicious and fresh from their kitchen. Other pastries was good.Staffs very friendly & attentive.One of my my favourite coffee shop in Henley on Thames.

Most disappointed. Quaint little place but poorly laid out and in need of an update. Service was awful. 45 minutes for a sandwich and sausage roll and two coffees. At a price of £19.30, very expensive too. The £5 sausage roll was soggy (probably heated in a microwave). There are plenty of better places in Henley.

Second visit- Went in again today for breakfast and coffee and as last time it was a great experience. We ordered Sweet Potato Chickpea and feta roll, coffee, lotus biscoff cookies and Avocado toast, everything was delicious! Staff really sweet and helpful! Love this cafe ! First visit - Got a hot chocolate and brownie after a 16 km hike and loved it. Lovely cafe ! Would definitely recommend!

The coffee is exquisite and I'm totally addicted to the vegan flapjacks. The staff are always friendly and very accommodating. Could do with mixing up the menu once in a while.

Small menu but good coffee and cakes

A group of us were doing a long walk and found Berries by accident when we were looking for Café Rouge, which has recently closed. What a find ! The coffee was most excellent which I can say with a little authority having lived in Italy for 10 years. Also Rudolf was most knowledgeable about his coffee making process and his mixture of beans was perfect (arabica). I strongly recommend that you go and try it.

What a grubby unkempt coffee destination! Shame as the coffee and service was good. The carrot cake was however clearly ‘shop bought’ and synthetic to taste. The premises were untidy and grubby and there are far superior places close by! Would not recommend.

Don't like dissing independent traders, but hopefully this may give a heads up to improve things. Went here for the first time today and won't be going back. Poor service - it's not hard to be polite, clear and helpful, but I didn't get this today.

Very sweet cafe! The food and drinks were a little pricey but they were delicious. I can definitely recommend their berry smoothie as an excellent breakfast choice!

Very nice little independent cafe with nice range of treats and good coffee. Staff were very pleasant. Maybe the decor could do with a spruce up but that didn't affect the overall experience. Well worth a visit.

Visited today we all had sausage rolls and they were delicious followed by homemade cookies amazing and a lovely cup of tea.friendly and happy staff will visit again

Beautiful croissant and coffee in a lovely setting in front of St Mary's Church in Henley - on-Thames. Wonderful to find an independent coffee shop so close to the river - in fact it was frequented by several rowing crews, whilst we enjoyed our breakfast. Perfect place to watch the world go by!

Lovely sour dough toasties and home made cakes. Good coffee, smoothies and cold drinks. Very happy to support a local independent business.

Myself and a couple of friends are frequent visitors to Berries. The coffee is delicious, great range of non-dairy milks, and staff are very friendly. The cookies are fantastic, the sandwiches are delicious, and the intimate seating inside is comfortable and creates a lovely vibe. Loyalty cards are definitely worth getting - once you get a takeaway coffee before going on a walk by the river, you'll want to go as many times as possible!

Small cafe on high st. Seating is quite limited and facilities ie the one toilet adequate but not very well designed with tiny and fiddly lock door . We arrived about 13:30 on Saturday and although coffee was good the range of cakes on offer were v basic and didn’t look particularly appetising. We had a caramel shortbread and a slice of vanilla cake both were ok

Expensive & Hygiene questionable. Found a hair cooked inside my cinnamon bun! As we had left the area before eating I emailed them but had no response, no refund offer or any kind of apology, very disappointing.

Best cookie in the town!! Probably better than Arrival Cookies!! Peanut cookies - highly recommend for peanuts lovers!! Lovely staff and atmosphere always nice

Quite pricey and the decor is totally worn out.

Lovely double chocolate cookie but I was severely disappointed with the coffee. The Cortado I had was over extracted and left a bitter, ashy taste. I really thought Berries was meant to be a specialty coffee shop but after today's experience, my thoughts have changed. Such a shame.

Lovely friendly staff, who welcomed us and our dog for lunch. The toasted sandwiches were really nice as were the pastries. Really enjoyed the classic hot chocolate too, which was really tasty.

Not the best interior, it needs a bit more of the attention. However, I’m giving 5 starts for delicious coffee and peanut butter cookie!! What a shame that there is not much of vegan options… I came with a friend who had only flapjack to choose from… definitely needs to be improved! Customer service was nice and we didn’t have to wait much for our order.

I visit this coffee shop fairly regularly as it’s a convenient place to meet friends. The staff are friendly and efficient and the atmosphere is pleasant. Unfortunately, the coffee, which is very nice, has been lukewarm to the point of being cold and at £3.30 a cup it’s hard to justify. I’m afraid that we are thinking of taking our custom to one of the many other cafes in town!

Not taking cask payments, legel tender due to covid yet card machines are not hygenic at all viruses are air born remember. Please realise removing cash payment options helps noone and descrimimates against the elderly

Lovely lady serving and the cappuccino was really nice, not bitter like some places. We didn't eat but we were very tempted! Have eaten here before and really enjoyed it.

The inside is a bit cramped and the cookies are a bit expensive, but the coffee is great, brownies are decent and the service normally good.

Although I did find the cafe to be a bit on the pricier side, the coffee was nice and the staff was friendly. My ham&cheese toasties were also pretty good

Very good coffee and cake - best option in Henley. The queues can sometimes be long but that’s only because they’re so good that they’re very popular! Great flat whites made with speciality coffee by trained baristas. A great option if you’re on your bike and need a coffee stop.

Visit this place first time and my experience was lovely. Very nice coffee shop with amazing loaded cookies and dog friendly place. Very nice sitting outside. Little expensive cookies £ 3.50 each but they are so big and the taste is so good is worth it! Definetely recommending nutella and bueno cookies. You can pay just card only.

A welcome haven in a baking hot day! Iced coffee for us, but staff were very pleasant and I'm sure traditional coffee would be equally good.

I went to get coffee this morning which was quite overpriced and I waited for a very long time. The customer service was not great as they were rude.

After visiting this coffee shop last week it was very disheartening to see employees refusing to wear masks and not social distance. The employee taking the orders was very rude to me. Being a 54 year old lady, i didn’t expect to be spoken to in the manor in which i was. I asked for my coffee to be warm and not steaming hot due to my dysphagia and this was completely ignored. Terrible coffee shop. I shall stick with costa or Starbucks in Henley, as they actually know how to treat customers well!! Wish i could give 0 stars but unfortunately it doesn’t allow me to

Today I ordered 3 toasted sandwiches, 2 cookies and 3 drinks (x2 lattes x1 hot choc). I specifically asked that the drinks were made extra hot as I've used this establishment a few times with the drinks being at best luke warm. After my order was taken I asked the assistant to ensure that that the drinks were extra hot which she assured me they would be. Upon receiving my order some 10-15mins later (drinks/cookies first as they were still doing the sandwiches). I then carried my order (hands full to the extent I couldn't take off my mask!) to catch-up with wife/friend a 5-7mins walk away. Upon catching up with my wife/friend we each took a sip of our drinks to find to our disappointment that they were luke warm. We decided to eat our food (warm) (10-15mins) then return to the cafe to exchange our drinks as we had to walk back past it. The assistant took the drinks, but then I was confronted by the manager saying that the drinks were ordered 42mins ago and that some of the drink was missing (cups still filled 3/4). I explained that we had each only taken a sip, but that the froth had probably shrunk etc. The 42mins was from the time I had ordered, so add the 10-15mims waiting, 10-14mins walking to/from the establishment plus eating our food this was the reason. I couldn't believe the attitude of this establishment so told them not to worry, but that I wouldn't be using them again. I had seconds thoughts about using them today because of previous experience e.g. drinks never warm enough and their extortionate prices. (£32.50), but decided to use them. I'm very disappointed with this cafe, but know my comments will not make much if any difference as they are positioned centrally in town, but just hope my comment makes them think about their customer service or lack of it. I mean, how much would it have cost them to change those 3 drinks rather than make a fuss in front of other customers.

Henley has many great independent shops/cafes and I’d rather support them than the big chains. Unfortunately though our Berries experience was not good at all. I get it’s challenging times but service can still be with a smile and friendly (which is wasn’t). The coffee was ok but the my child’s hot choc was lumpy and cold and had to throw it away. Our pastries (all 3 of them) were hard and stale, so much so we ended up feeding them to the ducks. This was early in the morning too so can only assume they were leftovers from yesterday. Sad to say overall it was awful and will not be going back.

Sandwiches were £3.00 and &3.50 last week So well done for raising the price to £5.00 each sandwich’ the only good thing is that when things get back to normal you won’t have much passing trade well done for coining at this time ???

Terrible coffee and over priced. I am very particular about good coffee and believe me, this is not good coffee. I’ve spoken to 4 local people who have visited this cafe on different occasions and they all said the same. ‘Terrible coffee and over priced cookies and pastries.’ I’m all for supporting local businesses, but I refuse to spend good money on rubbish, and certainly can not recommend this place.

Lovely takeaway toasties and cookies - had the avocado, hummus and feta toastie with the raspberry and ruby chocolate cookie. Soooooo good! Will come back here again for sure!

We stopped by this popular looking cafe at the end of a walk. A toastie and two cookies came to £12.50, so it’s not cheap but they were both very good and the cookies were a decent size.

Grabbed a Coffee and a cookie from here on Friday. I can honestly say it was the best cookie I have EVER tasted! And coffee was lovely too!

Polite and safe but I found the coffee weak and the muffins a bit poor. Nice people though, and I wish them well.

Out for a walk and decided to stop for a coffee. Sat outside and watched the world go by. The coffee was probably one of the best I had drunk in years. It was fortunate that they had the half price system going. This did not have any influence.

Expensive but lovely coffee and cakes. Stopped her on usual Sunday ride. Coffee shop is open for coffees, cakes, bread. Team serve you from the door, but you can see all the cakes and pastries. Bit pricey (but it is Henley), but the coffee was good and the cakes also excellent and fresh

So the coffee here is great - the best in Henley but why on earth have you hiked your prices up - paid £7 today for 2 middle of the road cookies - with 2 coffees it came to £13 - are you trying to milk the tourists as you are close to the river ?Have supported you as much as possible through Covid but at these prices I don’t think I can afford to anymore - real shame

I'd heard so many positives about Berries (hence the two stars), that I decided to take a look, visiting for the first time on Tuesday morning of this week and was attracted by a delicious-looking-though-expensive bagel in the window. I approached the door, and had the temerity to enter. An assistant immediately ordered me to get back and stand behind a line (can't remember exact wording), but what I definitely do remember is that there was no 'Hello', and no 'Please' - just an order! Really off-putting. I left immediately. I think perhaps Berries, as one of the first places to be offering coffee during extreme lockdown and earning deserved plaudits for so doing, is perhaps resting on its laurels now? This member of staff needs to be made aware that, with more and more establishments opening now, we do have a choice, and if barked at, will take our custom elsewhere.

The best coffee in Henley-on-Thames!! 🙌Latte with coconut milk it’s my favourite🥰 stuff it’s so nice and kind with really good knowledge about coffee and really always ready to help you to chose the best coffee for you. Such a cute and adorable place to stay for a coffee. I highly recommend !

Nice little cafe slightly away from the centre but worth a visit. The coffee was well made and there's a good range of cakes and sweet treats. There are also a couple of tables outside on the pavement.

The coffee was not great and the sausage and bacon sandwich was a complete disappointment. I would give the sausage 4 out of 10. Very disappointing. The tea took ages to get to a proper colour and I like weak tea. Maybe economising on tea leaves?! I like to give custom to independent cafes but we won’t be returning to this one.

The place is a masterclass of style over substance. We called in for a drink and a snack. I had a black coffee and a sausage and bacon toastie. The coffee was particularly ordinary. The toasty was also entirely anonymous, the most notable thing about it was that it came with a knife and fork that were precisely engineered to be totally unusable.

Not impressed. We came here on Christmas Eve, not expecting it to be that full because it's not in a very busy part of town. My first complaint is the staff are very laid-back. You had about four different cakes to choose from, (all of which were expensive and very small). The coffee was lousy, too. You have three options for hot chocolate - Classic, Smooth and White. I asked for classic. She insisted that I choose Smooth, because it was 'sweeter', and less chocolate. So I did. The actual hot chocolate wasn't even hot, it wasn't sweet at all, and nor could I taste any chocolate. The cappuccino was light and watery and tasted of nothing at all. Lastly, the music was diabolical. Only upside was it was completely empty, apart from a group of guys gossiping very loudly across from us. Will not be returning.

Lovely coffee shop in Henley on Thames. Relaxed atmosphere and good service. Also gluten free options which is a real bonus. Most sandwiches can be made gluten free with gf bread available at a small additional charge.

An excellent independent Coffee Shop in the heart of Henley On Thames. I had a fantastic Flat White which was served correctly! So many get this wrong but this shop knows coffee well. Plenty of food available also which I haven't tried yet but I went for the coffee & wasn't disappointed. Highly recommend this coffee bar when in Henley
