I came here for a traditional British afternoon tea and it was a delight. Quick service that was also polite and kind - thanks to my lovely server Beth. It's a great place to treat yourself and your friends.

A pior experiencia que eu ja tive em londres. Depois de uma konga espera e ver today as mesas serem servidas, eu fui reclamar e me informar am simplesmente que meu pedido tinha sidi pedido e que eles fariam em prioridade. Depois de outra longa espera e mais de 10 outras mesas serem atendidas reclamei a segunda vez e eles de novo tinham escolhidk nao fazer nosso pedido. E quando finalmente veio nao era o que tinhamos pedido e nao quiseram trocar e sequer pediram desculpas. Pedi um meio para reclamacao e tbm nao foi me dado. Realmente o pior atendimento em londres. Nao recomendo a ninguem Essa experiencia.

I am very disappointed how this pizzeria ! Bad service, bad pizza , bad value of money ! I ordered a children’s menu for my daughter and i paid 8 pounds for a pizza of 5 cm ! Don’t recommend it even if you don’t take the children’s menu ! The manager (Naeem) was very rude ! I don’t recommend it at all !

We ordered a kids’ menu, and when we got the pizza : it was the smallest pizza I’ve seen in my life ! We paid 8£ for a 4inches pizza !! We went to see employees : they were rude and arrogant ! Food at ridiculous prices,awful seating , couldn't care less staff. Do not bother. Try the pub across the road instead for value for money.

I know it’s hot & everyone is suffering with the current heatwave but the staff on duty this afternoon (4pm 08/9/23) went out of their way to to be openly rude - ignoring customers and when they finally decided to serve, they spoke abruptly.rolling their eyes, pointed at cabinets and generally gave the off ‘go away’ vibes. I like to go the BM & support this franchise but will go elsewhere.

The stuff are really rude and a lot of aptitude, unfortunately the type of people that ruin your visit.

Interesting to see how one can design a space so uncomfortable. Stools and benches spell out 'consume and leave'. Queues are very long to enter the museum and if you choose to rest in the cafe then the metal stools (no back rest) ensure you don't get any. I wonder how older people find it.

Zero atmosphere, tepid coffee and slowish service. Limited range of food which was very ordinary and uninspiring.

Situated under the glorious roof of the British Museum courtyard, this delightful restaurant is a real joy. Queues were very well managed despite it being a bank holiday and the food was superb albeit with a limited menu. Actually, the limited menu is a good idea as it makes service a lot more quicker. Talking of which, our waitress Hannah was a total class act performing her art with a quiet aplomb and efficiency. She represents the restaurant so well, all credit to her.

An open seating area away from the exhibits. Expensive clear away yourself area. Coffee and tea OK with alternative milks, cakes and Sandwich deals. Be prepared to share the long tables with school parties, although all seats are metal stools.

Easy to order with a very fast service!! Emploees very nice .! Prices are good too. Is a big place, with a lot places to seat.

If you are visiting the British Museum and you need a coffee break you have the opportuny to taste good cakes in the hall. Nice staff speaking spanish and italian.

Benugo have concessions in (at least) the British Museum and Science Museum, as well as their own outlets, and prices are inconsistent. The same food will cost you more in the British Museum than the Science Museum. Regardless of pricing, the biggest problem in the British Museum is finding a seat after you've bought your food. Many visitors appear to take a packed lunch and will hog the seats and dining tables (benches). Seats are also very often occupied by weary visitors looking for a place to sit. Cakes. I love a good cake, but, as tempting as Benugo's are, they leave them uncovered in the Great Court!

Can get very busy! Usual selection of boring sandwiches; I had the worst blt sandwich ever. The ciabattas (toasted sandwiches) all seemed to have tomato tapenade in them! Didn't see the ham and cheese paninis until later because it was in a completely different place. Coffee was nice though and staff try their best.

We generally go to the Members Room but as this is closed we tried the Benugo in the Great Court for a coffee and cheese baguette. These were very good quality but expensive.

While visiting the British museum, this is a great place to stop and re-energis. The food and service are good.

Vinimos sin reserva, pero el personal hizo todo lo posible por encontrarnos una mesa. La comida era buena y se sirve con prontitud. Debido a que está en el balcón superior, se siente abierto pero no tan ruidoso como el patio de comidas. Lo mejor para reservar.

This is a sit-down restaurant on the upper level of the British Museum. We had a wonderful lunch of grilled chicken, hamburger, and salad. All were nicely prepared and beautifully presented. We were so pleased to find a quality, pleasant restaurant in this otherwise crowded and hectic museum.

Whilst in the British museum we went to the Third floor for a tea and cake which was very nice but i felt that the prices were a bit steep, even for London, also there wasn't to many seats available.

At least for us, the service left quite a bit to be desired. I also thought the prices were just a bit high. The food was good when we finally got it but it took the waiter forever it seemed to get us our wine.

My kids (ages 9 and 11) and I visited Benugo during our visit to the British Museum, and it was a great break in the middle of a long museum day. Everyone enjoyed their pizza and the kids enjoyed ice cream while I enjoyed a Birra Moretti with my pizza. This was a great option for hungry and picky kids.

The food was unexpectedly good at this pizza restaurant in the British Museum yesterday. Three of us had two very good gluten-free pizzas and a regular one served by nice friendly staff. The one thing that concerned us was that the cheerful lady assembling the pizzas for the oven with her hands wasn't wearing sanitary gloves even when adding the rocket on top of our cooked pizzas. We mentioned this to a manager but he didn't seem interested.

We spotted the small cafe at the top floor and decided to go there for a drink. In the end we ordered cream tea and some wine - it was beautifully served and very tasty, the atmosphere was nice, it's a perfect spot for a break after visiting exhibitions.

Data la vastità delle collezioni, ed il tempo necessario per avere una idea almeno delle parti significative, lo stop per uno spuntino a pranzo al 5o piano è una possibilità. Infatti nella grande hall al piano terra, negli altri punti di ristoro, brusio ed affollamento sono garantiti. Almeno al 5o piano c'è più calma, ma per trovare posto a sedere andare per tempo o prenotare. Piatti standard, personale eterogeneo, ragionevolmente efficiente e cortese. Prezzi non modesti .

Solito bar per un break durante la visita ad un museo: qualità delle bevande abbastanza banale, servizio impersonale, prezzi alti anche se non ai livelli assurdi di certi pub all'esterno del British Museum che vanno per la maggiore. I Benugo sono comunque una catena all'interno dei musei londinesi.

I had a sandwich, cake and a coffee. The sandwich was a vegetarian panini that had plenty of tasty filling, the cake was a well made apple slice and the coffee was a very good flat white. Prices are high but not ridiculous.

Asked for a cream tea a good half hour after the store was open and the lady took the money and found there were no scones. This would of been fine if we could of just swapped it out for something else but instead they started tutting and being rude as if to say we were the problem. Dopo aver visitato il museo, ci fermiamo in questo locale che si trova proprio all'interno del museo, dove fanno solo self service, per mangiare qualcosa senza perdere troppo tempo, il servizio è veloce e c è molta scelta. Noi abbiamo preso dei tramezzini. Un po' forse caro ma c è di peggio.

Nothing special to report here; I was thirsty; Benugo had enticing cold drinks immersed in a bucket of ice; I found a table and quenched my thirst in an otherwise busy crossing point in this sprawling museum.

We had a wonderful cream tea here. Staff put us to the side in a booth so we could talk undisturbed. It was perfect. Beautiful space with polite speedy staff

I bought a discounted prosecco afternoon tea through Groupon for Benugo at the museum. I booked a 3.30pm slot and when we arrived had to wait to be seated. There appeared to be a lot of staff, but everything felt a little disorganised and quite a few of them just looked bored and fed up.

Average quality food convenient when you are in the museum. Prices are high for what you get. You're paying for convenience.

Warm welcome and good service. Staff didn’t stop! Menu obviously limited but quality was good. Within five minutes of putting in our order we had first course set in front of us! Well done to the manager and her staff on a very busy day.

Museum-going can make one peckish. So we stopped in the Benugo facility in the British Museum. It was very attractive. The service was good and we enjoyed what we ordered. This is not a mediocre cafeteria-type experience by any means.

Uso de la sala de la que es miembro en lugar de la cafetería principal suele ser menos concurrida. La comida aquí es siempre muy bueno, pero la tarta de hoy era especialmente así. Era una pirámide hecha de coco y polenta sazonado con Clementine. Fue el fuerte sabor húmeda y era muy inusual y clementine refrescante.

Dado os grandes espaços nos museus, principalmente os do primeiro mundo, não é possível realizar uma visita sem que se faça um descanso de um período a outro. No Museu Britânico, por exemplo, a pausa é obrigatória. O Benugo Café (uma rede de cafés encontrada nos principais museus de Londres), localizado no saguão principal do museu, oferece um grande espaço onde os visitantes podem fazer esse intervalo e descansar as pernas. Não é tão simpático nem charmoso como aquele localizado no Victoria & Albert Museum, mas ainda assim é possível tomar um café e comer um bolo. Serve mais como um local para pensar na visita e programar a próxima jornada.

British museum has NYC's Metropolitan beat hands down, but food at the Met is far superior. Typical snack bar/cafeteria fare. Not much choice, but people come for the museum and food is secondary.

Class experience in a superb location within the Museum. The menu appears to be based on traditional English fare.

Lower your expectations is the guide to dining on the main floor of the Museum. The food quality has slipped badly. For example, the Ham Emmental baguette is dry (perhaps used in the Egyptian exhibit at one point) and almost without flavor. The scones were also stale and nearly flavorless. Coffee and Tea is good, so if you need a break just order something to drink. Go upstairs to the real restaurant to eat if you wish to stay inside the museum, or else go out and enjoy one of the many spots around the area.

Nos recogió un bollo, refrescos y agua en la planta baja para recuperar energías nosotros mismos para terminar nuestro recorrido por el museo. Tenían una buena selección de pasteles, té y café. El precio era razonable y estaba buena gente mirando desde donde nos sentamos. También tienen un pequeño lugar en la 3ª planta junto al reloj y ver la exposición donde también venden porciones de pizza.

Have eaten here several times over the years and always a pleasant experience and good food. Hidden on top of the giftshop central tower, we take the steps up. We eat early so no problem getting a space. You can eat cheaper in the downstairs crowd, but this is a quiet, elegant for a museum, place to regenerate. You'll be glad you did.

Wonderful cakes and coffee - didn't expect such good service and products (cakes made here!) from an institution.

While Benugo is principally a restaurant, they also serve afternoon tea. We had coffee and slices of an excellent carrot and walnut cake. So good we thought of asking for the recipe. On the expensive side but worth it.

On a very hot day we arrived at the British Museum at 9:40 before it opens at 10am. Getting through security before it gets busy and sitting on the terrace having a coffee outdoors before going into the museum was delightful. I'd recommend it.

Nos pasamos unas cuantas horas disfrutando del museo y "ducking" en aquí una par de pizzas y una cerveza. Margherita era delicioso, y pepperoni con pimientos cherry era picante roquito y sabroso. Tuvimos que comer con cuchillo y tenedor, ya que este estilo de pizza muy descuidadas. Fue una agradable sorpresa encontrar comida sabrosa. Caliente, fresca, mmm.

Si la habitación del miembro no está demasiado concurrida es un ambiente muy agradable para el almuerzo. Hay una selección de ensaladas y sándwiches, además de uno o dos platos más sustancial. Mi caliente salmón ahumado y aguacate sándwich era realmente delicioso y alrededor de £4. 50 muy buena relación calidad-precio. Una ensalada con verduras asadas por sólo £2. 30 más. El té y el café es de una calidad estupenda.

Food passable but disorganised service. Had to order at payment desk after waiting 20 mins to be noticed by waiting staff. Order also incorrect also. Advise you to avoid and try Museum St restaurants instead
