Not even 1 star - purchased deal through Groupon, booked and got a (presumably automated) reply, arranged babysitter, drove there to find it closed with a sign in window about a power failure. Instead dined at nearby Masala Club (very good). I then complained via the restaurant’s own website but received no reply or apology. Foolishly gave it another chance and rebooked, seeing as the offers still appeared on Groupon so presumed it was back open. Again received a confirmation immediately after booking. Drove there, arrived to find same sign in window and no signs of life inside. As soon as I can figure out how I will get a refund. Surprised to see offers still being sold on Groupon

Purchased a buffet deal via Groupon and after checking what seemed like good reviews, I used their online booking tool on May 30th and had confirmation for 7 pm on 17th June. 72 mile round trip and the place is shut with a faded note on the door about an 'electric failure' Obviously been there for many days and when I checked reviews it had been closed for a good couple of weeks. Not a single email/phone from them to advise. Terrible customer service. Reported to Groupon who have had several complaints and got a refund.

Big disappointment, booked online for bank holiday Monday. Arrived in taxi with the family to find closed sign on door and in darkness. Tried several times to contact them but just goes to voice message. Very least they could have done is cancelled their bookings!!

Embarked on a 30-mile journey to visit a restaurant that had received rave reviews. However, my excitement quickly turned to frustration when I arrived to find the restaurant closed due to a power failure. Despite my disappointment, I attempted to contact someone from the restaurant. Unfortunately, my calls repeatedly went to voicemail, leaving me feeling even more stranded. On a positive note, there were ample parking spaces available.

Cold restaurant with a warm welcome ; every member of staff is very friendly and provides good customer service full stop food is pretty good and very filling. It is very flavorful and colorful which is what you expect of a quality Indian meal. It was ladies night from my mother and I celebrating A belated Mother's Day gift for two to dine here. My mother was pleasantly pleased. Considering my mother had 2 glasses of wine and I had a tango and soda water, I did think everything was quite pricey being that the bill came to £90!

My wife and I enjoy the buffet at Bengal Brasserie. The selection of starters and mains is excellent and the service is really good and the staff are really friendly and helpful. We have also ordered from the menu on other occasions and found the quality and variety to be really good.

First time ordering food was amazing will be ordering again very soon

Monday Buffet Night Plentiful display- most curries all tasted similar- samosas awful- written descriptions of dishes cheaply done. Staff very nice - I am sure ordinary curries at Bengal Brasserie fine - but Buffet, in my opinion, poor and tasteless. Would not return for the Buffet night .

We were all very impressed with everything. The food was delicious as was the food choice. The service was excellent. Prices are very reasonable with a nice relaxing atmosphere. Thank you to Mir & his staff for looking after us. We certainly look forward to coning back when in Coventry.

What a lovely Indian restaurant the food was superb and delicious, we sat and got waited on and the staff were kind, friendly and professional. They also have a buffet every Monday, we will definitely go back and recommend to friends and family definitely.

Not expecting too much coming from Leed where we have great Indian restaurants & food. Bengal brasserie was a welcome change. The Service & food was excellent. Prices are very reasonable with a nice relaxing atmosphere. Thank you to Mir & his staff for looking after us.

We booked a table using a groupon voucher. When the menu was presented to us we thought it looked expensive for an Indian restaurant, but none the less we ordered from it as we had prepaid for the voucher. When we got home we checked the menu on their website and it was much cheaper than the menu they gave us in the restaurant. The price would have been about the same if we had been given their standard menu compared to the groupon voucher and the menu with inflated prices I feel very disappointed with the restaurant as they were not honest about their pricing. The food was ok, but the experience was ruined by the pricing issue.

This is my favourite Indian restaurant but as I live in the Lakes I can only visit when I'm in Balsall Common for Crufts. The food & service are exceptional. Being on my own I especially love their offer of a combination of two smaller dishes - I had chicken pasanda & king prawn murgh with beautiful special rice & peshwari nan like an eiderdown. Delicious. Wish I could go more often!

Very nice, clean and cozy place. Been for the Monday buffet and did not disappointed. Food is really tasty and hot. Indians flavours spot on you can really enjoy the food. Attentive staff. Me and my husband had a great dinner thank you.

The order was 20 mins after the time window and they didn’t deliver the drink I paid for.

Great food however they should communicate with customers when a dish order is not available rather than replace it with something I don’t want, it’s so easy to communicate these days it’s a shame as I probably won’t order again from them ☹️

I ordered set meal for one. Excellent value- so much food 😀 chicken curry, pilau rice, nan bread, 5 onion bhajees, veg curry. I also had banana fritters! More than enough for one so I’m sorted for tomorrow too👍

It's OK standard restaurant no wow factor. Bathroom needs attention. Food could do with less colouring. The menu needs to be on the website as it differs from the in restaurants menu. Service was good.

Friday evening dined in with a wowcher deal, manager friendly and helpful explaining the menu, serving staff very attentive food cooked and displayed nicely and very tasty, the naan bread was the best i have ever had, highly recommend you give them a try

Smelt cigarette smoke when food arrived then found large pieces of egg shell in naan bread. Unlikely to use again.

Really nice fresh hot food.It was delivered early despite living in Coventry and Bengal being in Ballsal.We ordered on cheeky Tuesday to try them out with the 20% discount and we will definitely order from them again.I can't wait to try out the chicken Tikka pizza.

I wouldn't come and eat here, I use to work here until he strangled me and used foul language towards me. All because I did not put some napkins on the plates.

Six of us ate here late on Saturday night, everything was top notch, the food, the portion size, the service and the attentiveness. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you're looking for a fantastic curry, look no further!

Visited this venue for the first time. Delicious food, reasonably priced and attentive and pleasant staff.

Could do with putting desserts in a different bag to the hot food as desserts was melting and then some parts of the food was cold because of this. Desserts were on top of hot food

An excellent welcome and experience awaits you at the Bengal Brasserie. The manager gives a warm welcome, Explains the menu and takes you to your table. Service throughout was excellent, attentive but not in a bad way. And the food was excellent also. I would recommend this place to all, a great experience from an excellent host and his team.

Had buffet on Groupon, was cold and tasteless

I booked the Monday buffet for 4 people plus our two babies in pushchairs for my birthday. We decided to book here as we have had take out a few times and are always happy with the food. When I have been in to collect their phones are always ringing with people making orders so this is a good sign! We had a wonderful time. The staff were so accommodating, and the curry was delicious. The buffet really is great value for money. Each dish was lovely - and it was great to try some new things. Good selection of sides as well as curry. The bhajis and tandoori chicken are amazing. The drinks were good value for money - the wine didn’t have sizes but was £5.95 for a glass and it was a large one! The waiters were lovely and attentive. There was a nice attention to detail and after we had finished the curry we got hot wipes and after eights. As it was my birthday I was even given a free shot of baileys (it’s officially autumn) and they turned the lights out so I could have my birthday cake come out with the candles lit. The staff went above and beyond and really made me feel special on my birthday. I do think a little extra service and attention to detail goes such a long way and keeps customers coming back. I have awarded four stars as I think it’s a fair representation. If I were to give any feedback I would say that more high chairs are needed. There were quite a few younger children but only one high chair to share between us. I think from seeing that there were so many younger children a baby changing would be useful although I do understand it’s not always possible. The decor is a little tired but overall the place was clean and tidy. It was a little cramped where we were sat but again the staff were so polite and worked around us - even though I know we took up a lot of space. I would absolutely visit again - for the buffet and perhaps at the weekend without the babies! Thank you for a lovely evening on my birthday!

Came here on the off chance as we were staying nearby. Staff were great, easy to get on with. Food was delicious, best Indian food for a long time! Thoroughly recommend, and will definitely be back next time in area!

I'm struggling to remember when I had a curry as good as this! Dined in on a Wowcher voucher while on holiday near Warwick. Food was outstanding, as were the staff who welcomed us and looked after us. Lovely interior, private booth felt nicely romantic for us as a couple. Parking right behind in Co-op car park. All round great experience highly recommend 👌

Came here as recommended by a staff member of the hotel we was staying at, did not disappoint at al!! The food was an 11/10, so much choice and everything came within great timing. The host we had ( didn’t catch his name ) was so friendly, loved chatting to us at the end and never failed to make us feel comfortable our entire evening. If we’re ever passing through this area again we’ll be sure to stop by!

Food was never delivered but the app states it was!! Called the restaurant 15 minutes past the initial delivery time they said sorry we will have it with you in 30 minutes. An hour later no food and the restaurant is not answering the phone. Order from here regularly ..... may be time to find a new takeaway!

Absolutely phenomenal restaurant. Service was great, the owner was really friendly and welcoming, and the food as top-quality. Will definitely come here again next time I’m in the UK!

my order was 30 minutes late - I went to the establishment to see what happened and they claimed the food had been delivered and they had photographic evidence. The photo showed the food delivered to the wrong house and the owner didn’t care. Luckily one of the employees ran out immediately to go grab the food, and right their wrong. However, once we got the food the quality was not great - we ordered saag paneer and there didn’t seem to be any paneer in it.

We went here tonight for a random last minute date night, food was outstanding, I had the sizzler special and missis had chicken korma. Great food and a decent amount of dip to go with.. Will definitely come back!

Wow! What an absolute sh1t show of a place. We went for the buffet, if you could call it that. There was hardly any choice, the food was cold. The curries were watery, and not authentic Indian cuisine. The price of the drinks were £5 each. Cheap lemonade. £4 for a glass of cordial. You are robbing people. The place is a dump, the same track played on repeat. The staff were rude. The waiter had food qll down his trousers. ZERO STARS AVOID

OMG WHAT FANTASTIC FOOD AND FANTASTIC STAFF. THIS IS MY 4th TIME HERE AND ITS WORTH THE HOUR JOURNEY TO GET THERE. LOVELY AND CLEAN AND GREAT ATMOSPHERE. THANK YOU TO ALL THE STAFF. I WILL BE BACK AGAIN WITH MORE FRIENDS AND FAMILY.

We received our order over a hour late And the Quality of our food was unacceptable there was only a couple of pieces of chicken present and the curries Was bulked up with onion and mushrooms to hide the fact there was not much present !! Considering how much each meal cost I feel we have been cheated!! Shocking behaviour!!

First and last time ordering from here, food was awful very little fish and a mountain of onions and peppers, never again.

Cold small buffet and 25 pound for 5 cokes

Have been here twice on a Monday for the All you can eat buffet, and its very nice. Plenty of choice, its hot and very tasty. The staff are lovely and will be going again. Well done.

I have visited this restaurant many times over the years and never been disappointed. Last night was a last minute decision and just wanted a quick, cheap meal without booking for my son and I. He is a curry fan, but I only like one or two mild dishes. We had popadums to start and my son an 'extra' vegetable side dish. One thing I dislike about all Indian restaurants is that rice or naan bread is extra, a bit like charging extra for chips or veg in an English restaurant. The waiting staff were very pleasant and service prompt. There isn't much of an atmosphere and the renovations mentioned in 2021 reviews are still on going but the food was good.

We’re staying at a local hotel and wanted to eat fairly close by. This restaurant was a perfect choice. A warm welcome from the staff, food is delicious, reviews were very good. Worth a visit. Thanks Ali

Fantastic warm service, staff curry and goa prawn masala are amazing authentic rich curries. Boss man gave us complimentary Bengali street foods which were delicious.

This is my favourite Indian restaurant but as I live over 150 miles away I can only go when I'm staying nearby to visit Crufts! I really look forward to it every year - both the food & service are exceptional

My friend comes here every year when visiting Crufts and has always enthused about the meals. I have never been very keen on indian/Bengali food but agreed to give it a try. We arrived quite late on Sunday night after Crufts Best in Show having booked a table a few days prior. I am always hard to cater for as I need a strict gluten free meal without onions.(Coeliac). I was reassured by the 2 x lovely staff on duty that this could be achieved. They managed perfectly and I wasn't glutened at all..... The meals were both delicious and v filling. I am now a firm fan also and have been converted to Indian cuisine.

The meal, service and atmosphere were great. Staff were very friendly . Food was fab and a good price. Definitely recommend this indian

2nd time I’ve order and it’s arrived late.

Despite the cold. They could have turned the heating up a bit. Quickly showed to the table. Drinks ordered. Asked if we would like some poppadoms. It came. Then, I went for the buffet. Some were lukewarm. I was expecting a lot more very LIMITED choices(their menu's lots of choices). Chicken legs were cold, out of plates. settled the bill, left within an hour!

Late delivery blamed on Saturday busy service by restaurant. However when trying to contact them by phone, there was initially no answer by restaurant and only answered on 2nd time of trying saying order will be with you shortly but it took a 3rd phone call (~40mins after latest expected delivery) to get the explanation of 'busy Saturday', with the order arriving shortly after. The restaurant did however recommend ordering by phone and going to pick up order in person as the best option in future!

This place never disappoints me. The food was amazing as well as the staff and not over baring while eating our meal. Thank you to all the staff for everything.

Made a visit to this culinary jewel of excellence with friends on buffet night. 'Mondays eat as much as you like' - so fill your boots on fine cuisine and don't look at the bathroom scales.

Absolutely delicious food, lovely stuff and nice service. We went there with kids 4 and 7 years and the man who served us recommended something super mild and sweet, not too spicy, for kids to enjoy as well and my boys said ,,it's the best food they ever had'' 😁 Definitely recommend!
