Beluga Fish & Chips in Bromley

Chips were really hard and fish was nasty and so was sausage.would not order from them again

I was expecting cod and chips but £14 for just a cod is crazy.

My husband's cod was ok but mine was a bit udercooked (chewy and transluscent instead of white)

Food was in an open box and wet from the rain. As a result it was stone cold. The courier decided he didn’t want to use my well lit doorbell or even the door obviously placed knocker but thought he should hammer on my door like an extra from a badly acted cop show. Very poor & not a cheap enough meal to dismiss readily.

Place has gone down now. Cod is nice. Chips are absolutely terrible and the woman serving also knows this. Confirmed when I complained they have issues with potato batches. Still served Chips even though they knew it was bad quality

First time ordering, I had cod and chips. The cod was massive and really tasty. Really enjoyed the food, friendly service and very clean. I would definitely recommend and order again. Thank you for the delicious food.

Food tasty but not hot enough and the fish was stuck to the paper meaning it, and the chips, were even colder by the time it was ready to eat. Is there not something better that could be used to line the box?

Simplicity and perfection. Freshly battered and fried fish, grill and steam options too, haddock was huge! Outside seating option. Better value than most of London. Deserves your custom.

Always a good standard and friendly staff. They will double cook chips so crispy . Not many shops do that.

My husband enjoyed his plalce but I thought my scampi was without any flavour and, although I ate my share of the chips out of the box to try and avoid cooling I still had to pop them in the microwave for 30 seconds about 5 minutes into eating them. He said his were ok, but then he isn't so fussy about hot food being hot, whereas I am. I have enjoyed haddock from here in the past so will probably stick with that in future.

Chicken was very dry and small. Assume been left on hot plate for considerable time

Went in for the first time... The gentleman was friendly. The place was empty at that time of the day. The fish was lovely though. Only little problem was he only takes cash and I had no cash on me, luckily my friend had cash on her and paid for me.... Then again I don't know if I should really be complaining about the cash only as I don't believe in the cashless system ☺️

I am really disappointed with my order today. Usually it’s faultless but one if my items was wrong, the chips were a really small portion and made up of scraps, another item was stone cold. To top it all you have significantly increased the order price and added a delivery charge. The increase in cost in itself wouldn’t be an issue if the quality was maintained.

The best fish and chips restaurant I’ve been too.

Ordered over £40 off food key items missing just had mainly chips arrive - called up didn’t seem bothered told me to come collect missing items I don’t drive! Threw the meal in the bin.

The fish and chips were fine but not as hot as usual but the mushy peas and curry sauce were stone cold which spoilt the meal.

We often use Beluga and the food quality is usually excellent. Today the chips were slightly underdone and the food wasn’t as hot as it usually is. I would still go back as our experience is usually excellent.

Nice people at the restaurant. Phoned me to check whether I wanted chips as I forgot to order it, delicious food. Amazing. Arrived piping hot by the courier. It doesn't get any better than that.

I thought it came with chips. Not clear on JE ordering service, so no chips. Was only warm when it came.

Ordered large cod, tiny skinny thing was delivered. Food was very, very greasy. Had to mop up with napkins but most was inedible. Very disappointed.

The cod was delicious and very hot but the chips were quite cold. ( They were beautifully hot last time.)

Long long wait. Both fish and chips a bit anaemia looking. Perhaps a bit under cooked? £18 for two portions seemed a bit expensive.

Very average Haddock, but the chips were good. The service was OK and they seemed disinterested in my custom, however probably not somewhere I would go back to again.

The 2x haddock we ordered smelt rancid. It was not edible and I am awaiting a refund from justeat. Truly shocking and disappointing.

Have used Beluga for years. Great value for money in terms of quality and quantity of food. Not the cheapest but definite,y the best fish and chips in the locality. Using JustEat was so easy and I will definitely use this service again. You don’t have to trust this review, just try Beluga once and make up your own mind.

Skate was excellent, decent size and very tasty, just early as wasn’t home until scheduled time. Chips great as usual .

Food arrived hot and tasty. Delivery man was friendly and polite too. 1st time ordering and would definitely order again.

Unfortunately wish I’d cancelled this. Over 45 minutes later than scheduled. Called restaurant, they were having difficulty getting a driver but at 8pm said one was confirmed 7minutes away. I asked if our food had been cooked was told no, only on allocation of driver. Unfortunately driver never collected until 8:25, not 7 minutes after 8. Food was delivered just after 8:30 and consequently Luke warm, Can’t recommend this

Food was hot and full of flavour.

A generous helping of chips and a lovely large piece of cod. However the meal was totally spoilt owing to the fact that is was wrapped in paper and NOT a polystyrene container and was therefore tepid. I really am surprised that Just Eat deal with such a dated company. I will not buy from this source again

Wouldn’t leave a bad review but this is the second time I’ve had food missing off my order I called last time and this time and not even an offer of a refund I won’t be using them again

I have been visiting Beluga regularly for 2 years. I have always been impressed with the chips especially. Today I ate in and ordered fish and chips. The chips were obviously not fresh and refried. Very disappointing and made me wonder if under new management. Will not visit again.

Terrible! I ordered on deliveroo and received a half cooked sausage, undercooked dry chips, lumpy curry sauce and a steak pie with a filling ressembling cat food. Shame! I was hungry :(

The fish is nice and freshly cooked. They need to watch dishing out ropey chips with it from the bottom of the basket. Customer service interesting but polite.
