Sauvignon Blanc is lovely. As is vegan meatballs.

Very accommodating for my Mum's 60th birthday. They even made her a special dessert with happy birthday on. Great service and would recommend for a big celebration.

I am a vegan so chose a dish that said it had stuffed peppers in. However, when the food arrived, there were no stuffed peppers it was a pile of, what seemed like cabbage and onion, with a few small pieces of red pepper which was covered in oil. There were also about half a dozen cubes of butternut squash in there. Basically, it was a very small amount of greasy salad-like stuff covered in oil.

The food was tasty, and the staff was friendly! : )

I took the Mrs on a date there last night and the whole experience was amazing! They grate the cheese over the dishes in front of you which makes it feel like you’re in Italy! We would happily go back!

Food as you'd expect from this chain restaurant. Pleasant experience. Staff were polite and accomodating. Our bill was maybe a little more than we expected, just under £100 for two for basic pasta dishes. Plenty of other diners so a lively atmosphere.

The staff were wonderful but it's still a tourist trap I paid 17 quid for carbonara (spaghetti bacon chicken in a cheese sauce)

After arriving in Chester my partner and I decided to visit the Bella for a meal , I had the Bolognese and my partner the carbonara. Unfortunately both meals were not up to a standard where you say wow , just mediocre.

Nancy welcomed us with a smile, gave us a professional service The Sea Bass was excellent . Looking forward to visiting again

The team members welcomed my dad and I as we visited Bella Italia for a small lunch - we had a nice mushroom al-forno starter as well as a pepperoni pizza, which were both delicious! (the mushroom starter was especially tasty!) We were there only for a brief moment, due to us being tight on time on the bus tour we were on, but the meal we had came out quickly and was satisfying!

Such a cozy and warm space with very friendly staff. Keina was very kind and welcoming. Food was well served and good portion size too.

We visited the Chester branch and found our experience reached a high standard. The atmosphere was relaxing and calming. Our server, Nancy, was very friendly and extremely helpful. She was professional but also made sure we were comfortable and cared about our experience. The food was excellent and full of flavour.

On my son’s account🤦‍♀️had a lovely time at Bella Italia Chester a couple of days ago. Our waitress Bella was so kind, helpful and attentive; couldn’t have done anything more to make our experience nicer. I would fully recommend the Marco Polo pasta! Hopefully she gets her weekend off it’s so very deserved! Will definitely be returning!

Didn’t get to try the food because in response to the waitress’s question about allergies, to which we replied that one of the party had a fish allergy, the waitress promptly told us we would have to access the QR code on the menu to check which menu items were unsuitable. The serving staff should know their menus so why should we have to find out for ourselves? The lady also informed us that the WiFi signal was weak and patronisingly advised us she would help us access the QR code!! At which point we left and found a lovely little independent cafe just up the road whose staff couldn’t have been more attentive and helpful.

Being in this restaurant I received great pleasure from the food and of course from the service. Thank you wonderful Toni.

It was a sunny yet rainy day. At first our group of 7 chose to be seated outside, then after Emilia patiently took our large order, it started drizzling. She swiftly relocated us inside without hesitation. Friendly and attentive staff, would actually recommend an Italian chain restaurant for once.

Very very slow service. We waited more than 1 hour to get our meals.

Firstly, the position of the waiting point is very awkwardly in between tables which means if you aren't seated immediatley it becomes very awkward if those tables are occupied. We had to stand by two tables full of people for a few minutes smiling awkwardly. The food is always great at Chester and I would recommend a visit anytime. My only other gripe is that although the staff are always lovely and a pleasure their never seems enough. They are always seemingly run off their feet, this is evident from the minute you step foot in the place and have too wait a few minutes to be seated. It always effects your willingness to ask for other items over and above your order as you don't want to add to their, seemingly, fraught shift. Not sure if this is a management staffing issue but they always look like they need at least one more member of staff.

Visited today whilst in Chester for a few nights. Food and drinks were really good enjoyed it all. Service was top class especially from Holly (she makes the place) she was especially attentive to our 6 yrs old grandson, took his order first giving him crayons and colourings. Making sure he was happy and content. It was a pleasure to dine there and will most definitely be back. Thank you 😘

Me and my Husband visited Bella Italia, Chester today (2nd August 2024). We were served by Diane. Diane was absolutely lovely, very welcoming and attentive. The Veggie Calzone was gorgeous as was the Marco Polo that my Husband ordered. All our food and drinks ordered were great. Very busy place, we actually waited 1hr for our food, which was lovely, however the wait was far too long, one time we were thinking about walking out, but we perceived and just sat in our seats, just waiting.

The team were so welcoming and lovely and the food was amazing! Came back for a second time and will definitely come back more!!

Nice lunch Lovely waitress named Emilia asked about allergies Service was good food was really nice And tasty very hot and freshly cooked Only downside was we where sat near to bar area it was noisy loud bottles thrown into the bin And the toilets up a flight of stairs Iam disabled so this was difficult for me So wouldn’t advise anyone with walking difficulties or wheelchair to visit x

On entering met by Nancy who immediately gave us a warm welcome and her friendly helpful attitude was prevalent throughout our meal, lovely smiling face, chatty but not intrusive, recommended the cheese and caramelised onion flatbread for starter, great choice! You know what, was really good. Popped in because we needed to feed our child and we were both starving but the food and service was really great!!! Did not rate the food at all bolognese was dry . carbanara had about 3 pieces of meat in it. Garlic cheese flat bread and fries where rock hard . And the rack of ribs had far to much sauce of them was very sickly 😷

Just a lovely place with great food. Calamari was among the best we ever had, the pizza was delicious with terrific crust. Emilia and all the staff were delightful.

Absolutely lovely meal, we used Tesco vouchers which was really great (can't be used on drinks or other offers). The staff were super lovely, they asked about allergies. The food was really hot and super tasty Everything was clean

Absolutely awful experience, me my partner and our toddler attended here yesterday and it was just abysmal. first of all I was served a flat coke and the ice melted within minutes of it being on my table, the waitress was really awkward about it when I asked for a replacement. Secondly the food took absolutely ages to be served and I had a hangry toddler that was crying at this point because she was hungry, we waited nearly an hour for food to be served to us. The restaurant is rediculously small it’s hard to even move around in it. Thirdly I took my toddler to the bathroom to change her which is also stupidly small, hard to move about in and the baby changing table blocks one of the toilets and the other one was out of order so I had to rush changing her as people stared at me because I was in the way of the cubicle. Couldn’t be helped though really! What a stupid place to put a changing table. And finally my daughter trapped her fingers in the bathroom door and was crying her eyes out for not one staff member to ask me if she was okay, we sat on the restaurant floor for 10 minutes me and her both crying as it was very traumatic, my partner had asked the staff for ice for her hand and not one of them still asked if she was okay or what had happened, just completely ignored. I would honestly never go here again even if someone paid me to. Imagine having a restaurant and not knowing how to run it or even not be ignorant to ongoing surroundings.

Paid extra for chicken and no chicken. By far the worst carbonara I’ve ever had, I’ve had microwave meals with more taste. Absolutely terrible.

Absolutely disgusting . Had cannaloni which was just tomato sauce .bits of frozen fries as a side. Tried to charge another £6for service. Never ever again. Had to go to manager as basically ignored us when we wanted to leave .don't go terrible terrible place .

Great service, especially our server Keira! She was lovely and had great customer service :) We had two margherita pizzas, and they were delicious; will deffo come again! The arrival of the food and the bill was quite slow, but understandable because not a lot of staff out front and it was a slow day.

If you've ever been to Canada and been to Boston Pizza then you've been to Bella Italia. While the food and ambiance were OK I somehow expected...more. the food seemed to be mass produced, our server was lively but run off her feet and the noise could only be described as a din, but welcome to Britain on a Saturday night.

Only been twice but with times the service was outstanding and the food absolutely delicious will definitely be back

We had a delicious meal at the Chester Bella italia ,which was improved upon by the excellent service we received by a lovely lady called Toni who was so polite and helpful a definite asset we will most definitely be returning next time we visit Chester.

Service was great! Restaurant was clean and tables were cleared. We ordered Olives, calamari and king prawns to Start. Olives and King prawns were really good. Calamari, well there wasn't much too it, felt it was like the end of a bag and it was all just the crunchy bits. Tried to pull some apart and there just wasn't any calamari in it. We ordered a chicken and bacon pasta dish and which was fine and i ordered the seabass which really disappointingly had soggy skin. I've never been anywhere, where the skin isn't crispy on a seabass fillet. So, on a whole, service was great, food was definately average, we had the taste card paying a total of £45 (2 starters, 2 mains and 2 large soft drinks). I would have been disappointed if we had to pay £75 for this lunch without the taste card. In fairness, we were asked if we were happy with our meals and we said everything was fine.

Nancy our server was a lovely lady, very attentive and nice to talk too, a credit to your team. We enjoyed our visit, the menus have greatly improved too

Came out for a day trip to the town of Chester ALL the way from Manchester, I was craving something different… After asking the locals for recommendations, we entered Bella Italia expecting our souls to be whisked away to an Italian countryside. It was not Italian countryside, rather an Italian abomination. Upon arrival, we were served at a host station that looked like an extension of a dinner table, which was rather uncomfortable when there was a family of four eating there… We were seated at a table that was in the middle of the restaurant, meaning we had to move the entire table every time anybody wanted to get past… After ordering a coke, which was extremely flat with ice that was already melting, I asked for a replacement which took 10 minutes to arrive. Our hostess, Nancy, was the only nice thing about the restaurant… She ensured I was warm by turning on the heating. Upon asking for the bill, I forgot to add my student discount so the waiter took my phone and read my messages too! I manage my own restaurant and after all my hospitality experience I’ve never seen anything like this. Nancy deserves a raise, the rest was abysmal. Wouldn’t recommend. 💔

Excellent food and service, would definitely recommended when in Chester.

Unfortunately the food wasn't fresh and was heated up pasta, which resulted in it being 'soggy.' Tiramisu was tastless. You can go alot nicer places for the same price in Chester. Sadly, we will not be returning.

I was visiting Chester and I decided to have lunch to Bella Italia. Food is delicious and I definetely will come back again! Nancy is a sweetheart, served us with care and she was very polite!
