Would highly recommend as the food was excellent especially being gluten free & vegetarian they were able to cater for my dietry requirements without any problems. Nice atmosphere with very welcoming & friendly staff especially Toni who was very helpful & attentive and excellent service . 🙂🙂

Average place. Food on the gamberoni was actually pretty good, however the bolognese was very bland. Service okay.

The food let it down sadly, I had spaghetti meatballs and the tomato sauce lacked the most basic of seasoning, and the meatballs were extremely dense and reminded me of "Fray Bentos" tinned meatballs. I'm no chef, however for the price I certainly expected better. Service was good, lovely atmosphere. Sadly the food wasn't up to par.

Really tasty food and great service

Nice food and good service. Unfortunately there is an 'optional' 10% service charge added to the final bill receipt. I had this taken off in the end due to principle but they know a lot of people will just leave it on because it could be awkward taking it off. Scummy behaviour from a well established restaurant.

Lovely time with friends in New Year Eye. Great that restaurant has gluten free options for my friends and not so fat lasagna for me (500+kcal - very nice compared with usual 800+ Kcal in other restaurants).Other great options - use Tesco vouchers in festive day. Nice experience.

With my 21 and 17 yr old children for walk in late lunch. Arrived approx 4.15 and got drinks straight away. Ordered off the set menu. Doughballs and mozzarella sticks. They did take a while to come but were nice. Mains we had margherita pizza - was fine came as expected. sausage pasta - very hot 🥵 but ok. Pollocacciato pasta which was nice too. All again took too long to arrive tbh. We decided as treat we’d have puddings but wish we never. Waited about half hour for cookie dough - basically big cookie on a flat plate with squeeze toffee source and scoop of ice cream (nothing like Pizza Hut one). Tiramisu - no taste and looked old? Left it. Choc fondant - waitress said be careful of plate it’s hot but it was stone cold?? Was awful, solid and defo not as described in menu, I think it had been left on side to go cold. Toilets were disgusting and smelled, seats broken, no toilet roll. Staff using same loo’s as young blonde one came in while I was there so that’s stressed me out given she ignored the mess. Generally a dirty restaurant which is a shame as the waitresses were lovely and trying hard although not dressed the part if I’m honest wearing baggy old jumpers or own mismatched clothes? Surely a uniform T-shirt or something would be more appropriate. Floors dirty as I couldn’t help but look. I bet the kitchen isn’t up to much but the thought is too much 😱. 7.97 service charge on bill. Wouldn’t go back as I was up all night with stomach pains and can only assume it was this good but who knows. Best thing are lights in window - very cute. Harsh but a review only in my opinion and experience. Close for day and clean up and get better kitchen staff (or more).

Came here for lunch on a Sunday. Staff was polite but very slow at taking our orders, and when the food came it was wrong so I had to sit for a while whilst everyone ate and by the time mine came they’d finished. It’s a lovely little restaurant and mistakes happen, but even without the mistake I just wish they were a bit more attentive and quicker.

Dry spaghetti, zero sauce, luke warm meatballs. Box of chips: were there 15 chips? Salad: paid extra for, 1/4 filled small box. Chilled drinks: warm due to how long they'd been held awaiting collection. Might actually quit Just eat based on Bella Italia, 1/10, Grade F.

Table booked in advance and was available when we arrived. Drinks order taken in good time as well as food order. Starters delivered in good time. Nice break in between starter & main. Food well presented & tasty. Wine was also good. All reasonably priced & a bonus birthday drink for my friend too-thank you!

Came in for my daughters 18th birthday and the team went above and beyond to make the evening enjoyable. The food was excellent and arrived soon after we put our order in. They brought her dessert out singing Happy Birthday, and had written a birthday message on her plate in icing. Would highly recommend eating there to anybody.. Many thanks to all the staff.

What a wonderful experience from start to finish. My husband, Mum and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We were lovely and warm - knowing that my Mum needs to feel cosy we asked for a table towards the back - toasty warm. The service was excellent with friendly, helpful ladies. Every mouthful of food was excellent. Congratulations to all the team!

I visited this place with friends, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. The service was exceptionally slow, taking over an hour in total. I ordered the “light” version of a pizza, expecting a dish with low-fat cheese and tomato sauce, but instead received just a small quarter of a pizza and a subpar side salad. The menu didn’t clarify this, and it was priced the same as a full meal—essentially a child’s portion. The food itself lacked flavour, and to top it off, we waited an additional 30 minutes to settle the bill. The servers were passive-aggressive and even added a service fee as if we had received outstanding service. I recommend steering clear of this place; neither the food nor the overall experience justified the wait.

Not feeling welcomed. Was taking so long to get seated then get ignored serval times by staffs. 15 mins wait just to order, restaurant not busy and got 3 empty tables around us. Food was ok just Pizza was cold-warm. We were trying to get the bill, again get ignored by the staffs she said will get your bill now then table next to us asking for the bill after us and she go get their bill immediately. Get ignored again finally 1 staff get us the bill like 10-15mins after £50 for 2 people 10% service charge paid with this service. Full disappointment

Called in on spec Ordered 2 starters,1 king prawn and 1 mushroom in garlic sauce Ordered 2 lasagne,1 garlic bread with a small handful of fries. 2 Luke warm special coffees £80 Come on this is extortionate for food that didn't blow us away. Waited ages between starter and main It wasn't a busy Wednesday evening btw Rip off

Ordered pizza margarita, dry, tasteless and almost impossible to eat, suspect it had been microwaved. Waitress said "I am prepared to change it for something else" Pasta dish was good, but more expensive than our pizza... I asked for an alcohol free Peroni they don't do Peroni! Toilets had no toilet paper....

Walked into Chester along the tow path and fancied lunch somewhere. We didn’t want a pub as we had a long walk back so opted for pizza. We checked Bella Italia would take the Taste card which it did but only if the table was pre booked. We stood outside and called to book, twice the phone was slammed down on us. We went in and asked and the waitress said yes it’s okay and showed us to a table. We both ordered pizzas. My husbands was loaded with chicken and got his approval. My vegetariana was lacking in anything. A few wafer thin onions and red pepper and a few splodges of spinach and the base was paper thin. The service was excellent and our waitress was lovely. The pizzas were okay and I’m glad we got the 2 for the price of 1 offer, certainly not worth paying full price for. We are still looking for a decent pizza in Chester.

Very accommodating for my Mum's 60th birthday. They even made her a special dessert with happy birthday on. Great service and would recommend for a big celebration.

I am a vegan so chose a dish that said it had stuffed peppers in. However, when the food arrived, there were no stuffed peppers it was a pile of, what seemed like cabbage and onion, with a few small pieces of red pepper which was covered in oil. There were also about half a dozen cubes of butternut squash in there. Basically, it was a very small amount of greasy salad-like stuff covered in oil.

I took the Mrs on a date there last night and the whole experience was amazing! They grate the cheese over the dishes in front of you which makes it feel like you’re in Italy! We would happily go back!

Food as you'd expect from this chain restaurant. Pleasant experience. Staff were polite and accomodating. Our bill was maybe a little more than we expected, just under £100 for two for basic pasta dishes. Plenty of other diners so a lively atmosphere.

The staff were wonderful but it's still a tourist trap I paid 17 quid for carbonara (spaghetti bacon chicken in a cheese sauce)

After arriving in Chester my partner and I decided to visit the Bella for a meal , I had the Bolognese and my partner the carbonara. Unfortunately both meals were not up to a standard where you say wow , just mediocre.

Nancy welcomed us with a smile, gave us a professional service The Sea Bass was excellent . Looking forward to visiting again

The team members welcomed my dad and I as we visited Bella Italia for a small lunch - we had a nice mushroom al-forno starter as well as a pepperoni pizza, which were both delicious! (the mushroom starter was especially tasty!) We were there only for a brief moment, due to us being tight on time on the bus tour we were on, but the meal we had came out quickly and was satisfying!

We visited the Chester branch and found our experience reached a high standard. The atmosphere was relaxing and calming. Our server, Nancy, was very friendly and extremely helpful. The rider when to the wrong place I was out side looking for him , the food was ok but not what I expected there wasn’t much source on it it was like having dry pasta really

On my son’s account🤦‍♀️had a lovely time at Bella Italia Chester a couple of days ago. Our waitress Bella was so kind, helpful and attentive; couldn’t have done anything more to make our experience nicer. I would fully recommend the Marco Polo pasta! Hopefully she gets her weekend off it’s so very deserved! Will definitely be returning!

Very lovely waitress in a very busy lunchtime. The doughballs with garlic butter were delicious followed by baked salmon My husband enjoyed a very enjoyable thin pizza with lot's of meat, he enjoyed the doughballs with a very spicy ndjua sausage. Lovely seats in the window in the sunshine

Didn’t get to try the food because in response to the waitress’s question about allergies, to which we replied that one of the party had a fish allergy, the waitress promptly told us we would have to access the QR code on the menu to check which menu items were unsuitable. The serving staff should know their menus so why should we have to find out for ourselves? The lady also informed us that the WiFi signal was weak and patronisingly advised us she would help us access the QR code!! At which point we left and found a lovely little independent cafe just up the road whose staff couldn’t have been more attentive and helpful.

It was a sunny yet rainy day. At first our group of 7 chose to be seated outside, then after Emilia patiently took our large order, it started drizzling. She swiftly relocated us inside without hesitation. Friendly and attentive staff, would actually recommend an Italian chain restaurant for once.

Firstly, the position of the waiting point is very awkwardly in between tables which means if you aren't seated immediatley it becomes very awkward if those tables are occupied. We had to stand by two tables full of people for a few minutes smiling awkwardly. The food is always great at Chester and I would recommend a visit anytime. My only other gripe is that although the staff are always lovely and a pleasure their never seems enough. They are always seemingly run off their feet, this is evident from the minute you step foot in the place and have too wait a few minutes to be seated. It always effects your willingness to ask for other items over and above your order as you don't want to add to their, seemingly, fraught shift. Not sure if this is a management staffing issue but they always look like they need at least one more member of staff.

Visited today whilst in Chester for a few nights. Food and drinks were really good enjoyed it all. Service was top class especially from Holly (she makes the place) she was especially attentive to our 6 yrs old grandson, took his order first giving him crayons and colourings. Making sure he was happy and content. It was a pleasure to dine there and will most definitely be back. Thank you 😘

Me and my Husband visited Bella Italia, Chester today (2nd August 2024). We were served by Diane. Diane was absolutely lovely, very welcoming and attentive. The Veggie Calzone was gorgeous as was the Marco Polo that my Husband ordered. All our food and drinks ordered were great.
