We popped in to Beiteddine Express at about noon on a Sunday for brunch. We both had the Lebanese coffee which was nothing like we’d had before. Thick and sweet with a slight floral note. We were told it was due to the addition of cardamom. It was delicious. We ordered one lamb and one chicken shawarma wrap. Both amazing! The flavours were stunning. So, so good. The gentleman who served us seemed to care greatly about the quality of his food, and so he should, it was fabulous. We will definitely return to this little cafe the next time we are in Shepherd Market!

As you can see by my posts, I enjoy a variety of foods and visiting many different locations in and around London. Bieteddine Express provides probably the best service I’ve experienced. The food is delightful and tasty. The atmosphere of culture can be enjoyed in every part of your visit whether it be to eat in or take out. Now we all like chips, agreed. I will say hand on heart that Bieteddine Express serves the best chips in London. Not taking anything away from the menu that they serve. I’m always looking to order something new on my visits. I’m never disappointed.

Simplemente envuelve "bien no me importa.

Dropped in for a quick bite to eat before heading onto an event. I was with a friend who is vegan, but not a problem here. Loads for her and I to choose from, so much so I didn't even order a meat dish. We enjoyed rice with lentils and sticky onions, mixed pickles, marinaded aubergines stuffed with walnuts and some lovely fresh broad beans in a lemony garlic dressing. This with bread and a couple of of beautiful fresh juices set us up nicely for the evening ahead. And even more of a plus, it was all incredibly healthy. Service swift and friendly. Lovely.

We wanted an affordable Lebanese food and found this place. The chicken and lamb sandwich wraps were good as was the falafel. Prices for the standard wraps are higher for eat-in (£6) than take away (£5), but still a good deal. I would have enjoyed my meal a little more had I not seen the cook go outside and smoke a cigarette after making our wraps. Then he came back inside to make the next order without washing his hands. Made us wonder if he was clean when he made our meal. Then the waiter took out a kleenex and wiped his nose, then put it on the counter behind the food case. The taste of the food and affordability cannot over come the less than desirable hygiene.

So I decided to try this using Deliveroo, The order was missing 25% of the items of which I have asked for a refund as it took too long to come in the first place, the wrap was basically a few bits of lamb in a scruffy wrap with a bit of sauce, it was pathetic, no substance and definitely not worth the £5.75 it cost. I would recommend avoiding this place at all cost. Will never eat from here again.

The very idea, and indeed the name, of an Express restaurant suggest quick and no-nonsense service. As for no-nonsense, it is that indeed. As for speed... While sitting outside after having ordered a shisha, we had to remind them twice about our food order. The quality of the food was OK (nothing special but this is exactly what expected) but the speed of the service was appalling. Interestingly, they charge you £45 for a shisha and demand cash payment for it refusing to process "the shisha charge" on credit cards... I wonder...

The first time we visited we set down and ordered plate of shwarma - after being steered away from kabobs because they take more time. We got enormous amounts of food. While we were sitting there many people came in and ordered wraps to go. The second time we stopped by, after a really disappointing meal at an upscale restaurant, we got the wraps - a much better value, but the full plates weren't crazy expensive. Of all the places we ate in London, this was one of our favorite ones. Wish we'd stopped by earlier in our stay so we could have gone more often.

Popped in here today for a quick lunch. The good: Excellent falafel - not freshly fried to order (it was sitting behind the counter), but still hot and tasty, especially with the very garlicy garlic sauce. The bad: The chicken livers were very sweet, almost as though cooked in fruit juice. I couldn't finish the dish because of the excess sweetness. The ugly: Just as I was finishing, a cockroach ran across the floor before being crushed by the smiling Nigerian next to me, who said he hadn't seen one of those since he was in Nigeria! If I hadn't already been unable to finish the chicken livers, the 'roach would have done the job.In summary, and even setting aside the price of £10.50 for the livers and falafel, which seems a lot (but this is Mayfair, after all), I won't be back.

BUT the price? ? What is going on here and for very small portions, I can only think that they have two prices one for tourists in their printed menus and one for locals and as someone who lives literally 500mts away I was disgusted, obviously we looked like tourists! You may as well choose one of the many lebanese, Moroccan, Turkish, Iranian restaurants in Shepard market you will get far better value and food that is just as excellent and far better service.
