Always go to Beirut when we want a takeaway and are never disappointed with the quality of the food and how fast everything is prepared. Will recommend to anyone looking for a great meal

I can't believe what just happened. I placed order on JustEat! More than an hour passed no update! I ring them to get update, they say come and pick the order, there is no driver! When I reminded that I ordered delivery not pick up the guy handed the phone to a lady with swear words in Arabic. Too bad for him - I knew basics of Arabic! The lady just hung up the phone saying "is your problem non delivered food or swear words now"!

Pathetic customer service. They call you names if you complain to them!! They should be closed down for such unprofessional behaviour!

Wouldn’t know how good the food is as food never delivered, Staff next to useless as they claim the driver is outside my house. Must be an invisible car!! If the food is as good as the lies then I wouldn’t touch with a barge pole.

This spot is the worst do avoid it at all costs. We ordered a meal for 4 and ended up with a meal which could only feed one person. We complained and they said they would send us the full meal its now been 6 hours since then and nothing never go or order here.

We visited for a Father’s Day meal on the Saturday evening. The food was fairly cheap and average taste wise. The portions are huge! The service however was not great. The food came out before the drinks, there seemed to only be one waiter who was actually working. We ordered a bottle of wine with 3 glasses and they poured the whole bottle in the glasses and didn’t bring the bottle to the table, nor let us try it first. The food was ok but the service is a massive downfall.

Got toxicated the next day, been many times before, everything is usually perfect, but went on a friday for a small lunch and woke up the next day with bad gastro me and my wife. So please check your food quality before serving

We had starters of mixed hot meze, and for mains, wings and chicken shawarma. We were given a free starter of soup - I think it was lentils soup, a nice surprise! Food was served quickly, and it was all very delicious and piping hot! Can’t wait to go back. Thanks for the lovely meal and looking forward to going back. Keep up the good work ✨

It was a lovely evening celebrating my daughter’s birthday with family. The food was excellent, soup was delicious, fresh ingredients and value for money. The atmosphere was perfect and the service was first class. Everything was on point and we were very much impressed. A big thank you to Hytha and Rahi. Highly recommend.

Ever since my family and I discovered Beirut City Lebanese, it has become our go-to spot for the most authentic and delicious Lebanese cuisine around! The food here is simply the best we've ever had. Each dish is a burst of flavor, with generous portions that leave you satisfied and planning your next visit. During our visit, the warm and welcoming staff even surprised us with complimentary lentil soup, which was incredibly tasty! I can't recommend this place enough to anyone looking to indulge in genuine Lebanese dishes served with exceptional hospitality. A must-visit for all food lovers!

Customer service is verybad, no professionalism

Food was amazing, proper authentic, fast friendly service. They have a good selection on the menu, and the prices are very reasonable.

Be very careful when dinning here. We were served undercooked chicken. It was just pink when we cut it. They took the plate away saying we would be given a new one but we got the same plate, again with undercooked chicken. No sorry, and rightfully we should have got a refund! We left a whole plate of food, which was not cheap and it looked like they didn't care. Service was TERRIBLE!

Wasn’t sure what to expect prior to my visit after reading a few mixed reviews. The chicken wings was my favourite; my preference is grilled or roasted. The salad was also awesome. I ordered the platter for two which was very filling and tasty. I would definitely recommend. Price was okay comparatively too.

Useless! Ordered at 17:30 and still nothing at 19:20. Granted this was a just eat order....BUT! spoke to the restuarant directly who.were useless! Acknowledged the order then later said it didnt exist! Ignored my calls aswell. Shocking

Place has gone downhill over last couple of years, now they hassel you for cash instead of card. Shwarma wraps were 5.50 now they are 8.50, massive increase, don't waste your time.

Food was disgusting chicken over done like a grey black colour was horrible, chips wet greasy. Half a portion of old salad. Wow you really need to up your game! Didn't enjoy it at all

My husband had lunch here for first time on Wednesday.Said staff were friendly and welcoming , restaurant was clean . Food was served hot and fresh with salad and bread and hummus .Wine was drinkable and prices were very reasonable for food and drink .Would return and would recommend

The food is not good at all. Ordered lamp shish, it came with a couple of meat pieces but with plenty of rice. It looks like the food is not coming from the hands of experienced chef, not professional does not deserve the money they are asking. Looks like the shop is with a new management.

A shocking and disgusting service, gave a child a non red meat eater lamb instead of chicken and didn't even apologise for it. Rude. Unorgiansied and people left the restaurant without eating

Avoid at all costs. Went this evening for dinner for my daughter’s birthday. We booked on Wednesday for this eve but when we arrived, they didn’t seem to know about the booking. Never received our drinks until we had almost finished our dinner. One section of our family left before their food came because they were waiting an hour for their food and their children were so hungry. No one was served their food at the same time and the service was the worst I’ve ever experienced. My 6 year old, who does not eat red meat and even has a lanyard at school with this on, ordered chicken. He was served lamb. We told the waiter that it wasn’t chicken but they insisted it was lamb. He ate some then we realised that we were correct and it was indeed lamb, not chicken. The waiter did not seem to care, did not offer an apology and had no care for my child’s welfare. I had high hopes having previously been but this was a massive disappointment. Disgusting. The only saving grace was that they discounted our bill after we stood firm and explained that we would not be paying full price for such a shambolic experience.

Place was beautiful wallah, I sat there with my sister feeling bad because there was a few customers one person helping everyone it was a pretty home like atmosphere but I put my order everything in as good I got complimentary soup like everyone else my sister who is 10 ask for a shawarma wrap and I asked for a lahem mashwi I understand if the person that took my order didn’t try to clarify what is was but even after I got my food I asked him I thought it was a wrap he said “ oh no it’s only chip or rice I assumed they ran out of bread or something as I heard him tell another customer they where out of wings I came to pay it’s was double the amount I was meant to pay …he didn’t even try correct his mistake even though I was so polite I’m so gutted I felt so bad as they where understaffed and I know how that’s like my food was raw … I swear but I didn’t want to upset them and now I left feeling scammed and still hungry

Such a horrible experience i use to be a regular customer always enjoying the nice food and service but apparently there is a new owner and staff who are so disgusting no hygiene at all playing with hair nose and touching food the chef on the grill drop meat in the flour and put it back in the container for take away when i spoke to a lady working there she was ignoring me i was very chocked and just decided to leave with my partner before we even receive the food seems like they are more busy on take away i feel sad for people buying online and don’t even know what they are eating

Such a lovely authentic Lebanese restaurant, very friendly host and delicious food, note the portions are very large so don't over order like we did! We will definitely go back for another lovely evening. Thank you for the complimentary lentil soup & biriani rice.

I took my friend's here for dinner as I've been a semi-regular at this place for the last few years and I wanted them to try it. It appears that the ownership changed since my last visit... We waited for over an hour in a restaurant that had only two other tables whilst a never ending line of delivery drivers came to collect orders. During the 1 hour wait we were acknowledged once and the service was dreadful. We had to wave down the waitress 15 minutes after entering just to order some drinks. It also seems as though they've changed meat supplier because the quality was leagues below what I'd come to expect from this place. We weren't offered anything for the ridiculously long wait and the manager/owner was extremely rude when we suggested that we'd like a discount, so we begrudgingly paid full price under the agreement that we would never return. A terrible way to treat loyal customers. There are so many good places to get good grilled meats in Bexleyheath, I suggest you avoid this place.

We ordered wraps for takeaway The shawarma was not fresh Heated in microwave No one asked us what we like on our wraps. The grill is good

I got the Beirut City cheese burger and was very impressed with how delicious it was. This was ruined by the loads of salad which made the bottom bun soggy and caused ripping half way thru the burger. The fries were meh and the onion rings were ok but tasted plain and lacked flavor.

Just a quick review Normally i dont give reviews at all i have tried Lebanese food before different places but I didn’t like it , but yesterday i tried this one it was one of the best food i have ever tried very tasty well done 😊 i will definitely buy from here again.

Great food and lovely atmosphere but the service is a little lacking! With that said it did not really impact on the overall experience; hence my five start ranking. I had the bbq sea bass which was very nice. The mixed starters were tasty and I recommend the hummus.

I've ordered takeaway a couple of times from this place and wasn't disappointed, today we decided to dine in and the quality and service were amazing. My son enjoyed his kid's lamb shish, my sea bass was spicy but refreshing and my partner's chicken mix grill was the best. A great family-run business, with father and son working alongside each other. One of my favourite restaurants within the area and outside the area. Highly recommend, some days can be busy but definitely worth the wait.

We've been here before and it was great. But went this time and it was bad. I pulled a chair in and say down caught my finger in a broken chair. Changed my chair but that one was broken too. I went and checked and got myself one in the end. Firstly so expensive. We asked for drinks as noone asked what we wanted. We waited so long it was ridiculous a good 20 mins and it was a hot day in August we were gasping. Then we ordered food and that took a good half hour. We were the only ones in there 6 of us. Food came and they had put chilli sauce in all the wraps so they were basically inedible for 3 kids. They said that's what we asked for. We didn't why would we if we had asked for garlic mayo. No air con, sweaty and stuffy in there. Shame as it used to be nice. Left early to get drinks from Asda as it was £3 for a can of coke and £3 for a fizzy water we were all still so thirsty.

We’ve not been to this restaurant to eat for a while so decided to order a takeaway. We had the Special for two and it was really good. The meat was cooked to perfection and there was plenty of it. We collected the order ourselves as previous experience with delivery companies has been disappointing where food arrives late and cold. It’s almost impossible to keep grilled meat hot for any length of time if it’s not in a sauce. Took 20 minutes for the food and it was great. Try not to be put off by some of the negative reviews but obviously everyone has their own opinion and perhaps it doesn’t always go as expected.

I will never go in the place like this the old lady in the coustomer service should be banned from work speaking offensive to the staff and putting hand on the food to see the food is good or bad infront of us . Poor quality food should be banned from playing with health and saftey .

Disgusting place to for people to work in and the management is poor . People are making this as a slave working place . They treat staff like animals and the people don't even pay the staff for working in the company i suggest people not to go in such a place where the nature of the people working there is like this because they can put anything to you food and charge you more money .

Very weird manager always yelling at his staff in-front of all the customers. They serve their food in a broken plates disgusting. Poor management and I feel sorry for the staffs.

Very nice restaurant, welcoming, great for dinner or family do, ordered a platter for two(£33.99) which was good size, taste was ok (average) would say lamb chops and kofta was best in taste on this platter, I also ordered kibben(£6.50) which had too much wheat and not enough meat disappointing, the complementary salad which only contained lettuce and a few radish being a Lebanese restaurant I would be expecting pickles and gherkins (to be fair I did not order any salads from menu so it's up to them) They also don't do lamb shawarma only chicken Overall experience was okay.

Good service, food in abundance - no complaints from me!

My wife order online via Just Eat and asked me to collect. She sent me a screen shot of the order. I took it to the restaurant and told an elderly gentleman I was collecting. I also showed him the screen shot. I guess he couldn't understand me because of language. A younger gentleman came and tried to scroll through the photo. When he could not he aggressively told me he won't give me the food because that is a photo. I told him my wife ordered and asked me to pick up. He still refused and assumed I was a just eat driver. I told him I will not just turn up and collect food that does not belong to me. I waited and called my wife to get in touch with the restaurant. This was a bad experience and I will not be going back again.

Been using this for a while but the last few times it’s been a bit of a shambles with wrong food being delivered to the table (on more than one occasion) and food being served at different times so one person isn’t eating at the same time as the others etcs. They need some proactive and efficient waiting staff. Shame as it is a lovely place but it’s got to the stage where it’s off putting.

Ordered from here three times. Twice a lady was cooking - she did amazing food, great portions, I was very happy. Last time it was a chap who seemed rather uncertain about what he's doing, which was reflected in his food. If you see the lady behind the counter order with confidence!

Though it was late (after 9pm) last Sun when we arrived the food quality was exactly as we heard - absolutely great! My partner and his 2 neighbours had shawarmas (lamb, chicken, chicken & halloumi) while I had lamb chops with chips. There was complete silence at the as everyone chowed down on the delicious food, coming up only to ask if someone wanted the last of the chilli sauce. Fantastic decision coming to this place.

Tried to find a restaurant late yesterday evening and bumped into this gem. Nice staff Reasonable price of food Food tasted brilliant Complimentary pitta & hummus Reasonable portions Looked nice inside Overall very impressed, would highly recommend and come back again.

We have had takeaway from here but first time we have eaten in. There was only one other table in there but took us an hour to get any food. They seemed to be prioritising takeaway orders. There was no music in there and it was cold. Food was nice and plentiful when it came but there wasn’t any atmosphere, dead flowers on the table and think the customer service could be improved.

Ordered 2 mixed grills. Order was supposed to be delivered within 45 mins. After an hour we enquired where the food was and told the food was ready & it was waiting for a driver. We questioned that it may be cold and not fresh on arrival but they assured us it would be. After several calls later and over 2 hours after ordering It finally arrived. The food was cold, dry and not enjoyable. We will never order from here again.

I came here after a friend recommended it to me. This is a lovely family run restaurant. The food is cooked fresh to order and absolutely everything came hot and jammed packed with flavour. We were a large party (14) and there were other large booking so the service was a little slower than we would have liked, but the staff were very friendly, accommodating, & made my brother’s birthday meal a special one. We will be going here again and would recommend others to do the same. Highly recommend!

What a lovely place. Don't be fooled by the entrance, you'd think it's just a grill house like any other but inside it's beautiful. I've been recommended it many times and I'm so glad I finally went there. We had the cold and hot mixed starters as well as the Beirut city platter for 4. All of them were cooked to perfection! The staff were lovely and we left feeling the right amount of full. We ordered hummus but didn't realise it came anyway (so probably didn't need to). While everything else ticked all the boxes, the decor inside was what surprised me the most. It's truly a beautiful place to be and the music is truly authentically Lebanese! We were a party of five who turned up at around 3:30pm on a Saturday so it was completely empty, ideal for those who want a quiet visit. I will say that it wasn't perfect because that doesn't exist. I prefer the chicken wings to have some more spice or flavour to the marinade, even though they were cooked to perfection. The glass of drink that me came for me was sticky and didn't look clean (it happened to nobody else and they happily replaced it with a clean one). I asked for five cups of tea and they brought 2 initially. Ideally the tables would be cleared before the next items come over. These, for me, are not issues but I needed to be transparent. I'll certainly be returning multiple times over and would highly recommend!

Very disappointed!! Not sure if the place was sold to someone else bc I don’t recognise any of the staff. I used to visit it regularly and the owner was very nice, the food always incredible delicious, but now i’m so disappointed, the meat was overcooked and very dry, no taste at all, and size of the portions have reduce so much its just a joke, i felt like it was laughed in my face! I paid 13.50 for lamb shish that It wasn’t even 100g of meat, I actually weighed it when i got home! Will not go there ever again, they lost a loyal customer!

Disappointed. Regularly visited here for delicious chicken shish. Last meal tasted like over cooked poor grade chicken. Prices have increased and quality has dropped. Was told on the phone the houmous would be free on paying there was no free houmous and price had increased. Overall not great, not sure if staff and chef have changed but is no way close to what it was.

Ordered a takeaway from hear on Saturday 4/3/23 waited absolutely ages and when food turned up we only received two portions of chips and was missing a whole meat platter and chicken wrap we called Beirut city who told us there was nothing they could do as was drivers thought (although the driver said that was all the food he was given) I really can’t believe how unhelpful The staff at Beirut city were I will certainly never use this place again and would advise anyone ordering a takeaway from hear not to bother unless you want to pay £30 for 2 portions of chips

Great place, slightly heavy handed on the spices with the meats, but I can't complain!

I will Give detail review Firstly the toilet I used has POO clear stick there and they even don’t flush it as there were no customers and we reach early so it means staff used it , the waiter was very good and generous but we ordered 34 GBP DISH FOR 2 which had kababs sharawma rice fries and so on but kababs were burnt the waiter said it’s welldone noo NOOOO ITS BURNT TOTALLY TASTELESS FOOD SAD AND THE SAUCE THEY GIVE WHICH THEY SAY CHILLI HAS NO TASTE THE SAD LEBANESE FOOD WE TRIED WE WASTED OUR MONEY as it was my choice my hubby really wasn’t happy 😊 I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN NEVER GO ON PICTURES ON GOOGLE

Ordered food though deliveroo. The food arrived 3 hours late, the driver told us he had been kept waiting for half an hour. When the food arrived, the food was cold, items were missing and the mezze for two which cost £13.99 was tiny, all mixed in together, with no bread (see photo). Rang the restaurant and they were unhelpful, began to be rude about me to their colleagues in Arabic, not realising that I speak a bit of Arabic myself. Literally the worst takeaway experience I have had, which is a shame, because I’ve ordered from there before.

Food saving grace but not good enough to make me go back. Service so slow. Waited 20mins to get a drink order taken, there was one other table. This was then wrong. Atmosphere meh, place needs some love. Covid signs still up looking messy, why advise hand sanitizer if there isnt any? Why state to social distance that's long gone. Roof dripping into ice bucket. Staff need uniform gym wear isn't a good look for any restaurant. Tap hanging off in ladies loo. Needs a kick to bring a bit of love and life to it. Else suspect it's on the decline. Shame.

Totally gone down hill. Used to eat here all the time. Now it’s slow service, incorrect food and really not what it used to be. Waiting an hour for a main when you’re the only table in the restaurant, priority given to constant trail of delivery drivers coming through the door. Such a shame as I really used to love this place. New ownership need to get it together I think.

Shame as I ate here once and the food was decent, ordered a delivery (rice, shawarma wrap and a drink) and received a box of rice on its own with no drink and wrap. Called up and was told I could come in the next day if I wanted to, so I had to spend the evening with no dinner. Unhelpful and poor treatment of a customer, I will avoid this place going forward

Waited awhile to be served, starters ok, had to keep asking to shut front door as take away drivers kept leaving it open, one main meal fine,the other uneatable,chicken fatty and greasy, not what it should of been, strips of chicken 🤨

Absolutely shame to leave a review like this… Firstly, the food is good here. Had it a couple times. Not as good as some of the places on Edgware Road, but for a local place it’s ok. Now the reason for the one star… I went online to view their take away menu. saw that they did a “Beirut special” mix grill for £27.95 (similar to what we have when we’ve sat in and ate. Waited, watched them cook it…then when it came to paying the lady said it was £32.95… A bit surprised 🫤I then told her it was £27.95 online. She asked me to prove it, which I happily did…to which she responded, “well it’s £32.95” 🤔 She also mentioned to the chef and another member of staff that it was £27.95 online, and then she responded with “well that’s old and it’s £32.95”… Now out of principle, I’m not a tight a$$, but the level of attitude and rudeness from her I wasn’t in any position to put in the extra amount and left the restaurant without the food. As I said it’s a shame as the food is pretty good here. I just hope that with taking this review on board, it doesn’t happen to anyone else and they fix up their customer service standards. I won’t be going here again and hope the next person has a more pleasant time.

One of my items was missing, when I called the restaurant they said they don't have any driver to deliver I need to collect it at 11:00 pm. It was for my dinner. They didn't deliver it. I had to spend the night without my dinner. The receptionist was not helpful at all.

Had one if the best Lebanese food in London at Beirut City Lebanese in Bexleyheath London. A must try. Loveddd their chicken shish taouk and extremely professional and friendly staff.

I ordered through just eat. I received less than half the order. They charged me full price. I asked for a refund they said they cannot do it themsleves to just eat it has to be done through me and when I went on my just eat the order is no longer there on my order history I do not know if they cancelled it so I cannot get a refund. When I asked them to instigate the refund at their end the woman said they cannot??? how is that possible - you are the restaurant. When i said the order is missing items, she said if you are local come and get it!!!! it was their mistake and they want the customer to go and get it!!!! such non care in theirt customer service, our mistake but you can come and get it - Will never be ordering from here again. will be putting this on all social media.

The people in the restaurant are generous the plates full of food, they offer us to take away food with us, the prices was cheap. The chef was very nice person.

This is an intimate little Lebanese restaurant with lovely food. The staff were extremely friendly & helpful, great service. Very large portions, so much that we took some home in take away cartons. Couldn’t fault it, will definitely return.

Fresh, well presented food. I had then, chicken shawarma, tasty but a little bland for my taste. Hummus was good, falafel wrap about dry for my taste, halloumi wrap was good. Overall, the food is tasty, fresh, well presented it shows they take pride in there food, I would most probably order from here again if in the area
