Good Chinese restaurant. Offers as much as you can eat on each course. Cook everything to order. We went for a birthday meal there was 8 of us and everyone enjoyed the meal

Beijing Palace Buffet Review 1. Inner Decoration: 6/10 - The ambiance was Ok/cozy'ish, scoring a 6 out of 10. 2. Food: 4/10 - Unfortunately, the food is a 4 out of 10, falling below expectations. 3. Ordering Process: - The ordering process, where you can't go back to order starters after progressing to the next menu, felt restrictive and could be improved. 4. Buffet Price: £25.99 - The price of £25.99 on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays did not align with the food quality and overall experience of ordering (I think it should be around £14.00 for adults and £7 for kids), deffenetly not £25.99! But personally even if it was £14.00, I wouldn't not return. 5. Kids' Options: - Disappointing that there are no standard kid-friendly options like nuggets or fries in the buffet. Additional charges for ordering them separately seemed excessive, Nuggets and chips it was £11.50 or £12.50!!!. 6. Overall Impression: - The overall experience did not wow me, and the pricing deffenetly right-off due to it did not match the quality of the food and considering the limitations in the ordering process... I don't foresee returning. ---

Absolutely the worst Chinese meal I’ve ever had the misfortune to eat. Pancake rolls Eugh , food was Tasteless..rib’s disgusting, and grey looking, vegetable chow mein..the vegetables were over cooked and held prior to cooking again grey looking. I mean who puts round carrots in a stir fry ? smell when I opened the tub was worse than a nappy smell the broccoli was brown . Very very disappointed

Still as good as ever. Well presented tasty food with friendly staff. Prices have gone up but hey it’s all you can eat so just make sure you are hungry.

Went for a birthday celebration, but overall very disappointed!! Vegetarian options very limited and very repetitive, ie Mushrooms or vegetarian spring rolls. The waitress was questioned regarding the sauce with the mushroom and broccoli dish and said it was with Oyster sauce clearly not vegetarian. Noodles and chow mein was served cold but some of the dishes were tasteless. The decor is very outdated and needs work and the carpark is appalling and needs resurfacing. Sadly we will not be returning soon as there was not any heating in the restaurant after 8.30 and we all sat in coats and jackets !!

We love Beijing Palace as a family but everytime we order the prices have gone up !!! Dont mind paying for quality but...... Some dishes have gone up £2. Sad to say we won't be ordering again anytime soon because of the prices, but for us best chinese about.

Special evening remembering our Mum. Its a tradition. The service is great and the food tasty. We love the way the courses are spread out and there is no rush to eat and go! We all had plenty of our favourites and tried some different dishes too, The salt and pepper fish was delicious.

Sadly this was a huge disappointment! Service was good but food terrible. No taste and bland. Prices were high for the area! Surroundings were in dire need of renovation, firmly suck in the seventies. Car park a bit of a quagmire. It is a shame but one to avoid.

First time we’ve been in after years of driving past, wasn’t disappointed! Food and service were excellent, lovely staff and atmosphere.

Lads night out enjoyed the buffet on a Saturday night. Food quality is second to none and service is spectacularly good as well as friendly. Would gladly recommend, especially to groups. Efficient, good quality and reasonable value.

Dreadful takeaway, chicken was boiled and unseasoned, just thrown on top of chow mien. The food had barely any authentic taste, could’ve made a better Chinese at home. Everything was like soupy, pissy water as you can see by the photos. Everything was flavourless. Ruined our Father’s Day takeaway. Wouldn’t ever waste money at Beijing Palace again after this experience. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

Was a little unsure having read previous reviews on this place, I needn't of worried, yes it is a little dated inside however it was clean, tidy and well laid out. Ordering was easy, service was quick and above all food was very tasty and well presented. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The buffet isn't a help yourself one, you order it and your order is cooked to order, food was very hot (temperature) you order as many times from each course as you want, then simply move onto next course when ready. The only minor downside I found was some of the sauces were too salty for my liking, simple cure for that was have less sauce, this was very noticeable on the hoisin sauce for the Crispy Duck and for that reason I've given 4/5 Allergies are catered for if you tell them. I would certainly return for more meals in the future. Very happy, a nice meal out with a friend.

This was the most expensive Chinese meal I have ever had. The restaurant is dated seating was nearly all broken, I had to change 2 chairs before I found one that didn’t feel like I would collapse underneath me. We were not offered a full menu when we were seated only the buffet one at £25 per person so assumed that was all they did. Staff were fine very attentive, we only found out that they did have a full menu by overhearing guests on an adjacent table being offered one, this was after we had ordered from the buffet menu. For 2 people I would definitely ask for the full menu and order from that as I would be cheaper, also bottled beer is very expensive £4.50 for a 330ml bottle of Tiger beer. I will no be returning anytime soon.

Despite bad reviews, we decided to try for ourselves . What a mistake . On arriving , it was very noticeable how dated the place was ( needs some tlc ) We were seated by a window,( not anywhere near any other guest l) which was open . I was chilly and asked to be moved . The server was NOT happy at my request . On to the food. I asked for a bowl of rice with my meagre starters . She actually raised her voice and said ' no no only mains ' I raised my hand to say calm down. My goodness 😳. One napkin was handed out and not replaced during the 4 courses . The dishes were very small portions and luke warm . I will not be back . Dreadful service .

Very little choice. Small portions that you do not want more of , and if you do re-order you have to wait a further 15 mins, where you fill up on overpriced drinks. 2 x teaspoons of cheap ice cream was the forth course. Not interesting or tasty. Plastic service plates. Expensive- for they made their money out of us! To the restaurant -come on times are changing there are now lots of vegans/vegetarians we are not second class citizens any more! This used to be great, don't expect that now the photos above are of the past meals. Don't go especially if you ar vegan or vegetarian.

I had heard great reviews about this resturant. The menu ordering is confusing, the flavours are dominated by sugar, chilli, and monoglutinate sodium. If one really takes apart the prices it is not as cheap as it believes. The lighting is awful, and the toilets are basic. The staff do their best but lack charm. Service is quick, but not a resturant I will go to again.

We were here for a "works" do, and a good time was had by all. We were well looked after by the staff and the food was very good, plenty of choice and it all tasted good

Great food, best Chinese for miles.The salt and chilli ribs were so good , we had to order more. We cant wait to come back and sample more dishes from the extensive menu. Staff are really friendly and drinks very reasonably priced.

Good (but not great) food, great service but pricey! Just around the corner from us and without doubt the best chinese food in this area would love to use more than we do. A family of 4 with 2 young children we normally have a bill for £80-90 with drinks. The children drink water or squash and we have a couple of large cokes maybe 1 beer and the bill always comes out to around this figure which makes it too expensive for us to use on a more regular basis. The place is always busy and the service is always good, people travel there from a wide distance, I would say this is a special occasion location only for us and on that basis there are better restaurants. I would give it 4 stars if the pricing was better and 5 stars if the food and pricing was better. I feel there needs to be better family pricing as our kids eat very little compared to an average adult and even at half price don't get value from that, and £3 for a squash (even a large one) is frankly laughable. For 2 adults who drink very little it would be a solid 4 out of 5 .... that's just not us.

we went lastnight fri 1st nov 2019 for the menu buffet £22.95 a head only 2 of us we were taken to a table straight away took drink orders and went away 15-20 mins later i had to ask where the drinks were they then brought them and took our starters order food arrived pretty quick when ordering starters went on to order the mains we ordered the mains food and again 20-25 minutes no food arrived but people who had ordered a good 10 minutes after us had there food already i wanted to get up and leave just as i was getting ready to leave staff approached and i said this is dreadfull she asked what we ordered and i told her and she said yes its been cooked but we forgot what table for ill go get it now she brought one dish out and i said well wheres the rest and she said yes ill grab it now 10 minutes later no food i again said thats it im off and with that the food came out hot but partially cooked they didnt have it cooked already they totally forgot about us absoulutely shocking service avoid this place at all costs we didnt even have time to order a next main or even desert due to them but still had to pay the full price of the menu buffett if it was due to myself i wouldnt of minded but the fact they ruined our evening then we still had to pay the full price was a joke ill never go here again

I have never witness so much MSG in sauces as this place. Literally every dish was thick and glue like I kid you not.... avoid if you don’t want to be ill!!

If someone turns up on themselves then maybe it would be best to advise them that the buffet is a minimum of two people ... or at least advertise or display it outside before you take the drinks order .. if you don’t have the buffet be prepared for extremely high prices .. will never come here again

Although it looks depressing from the outside, don't be fooled. The food is amazing and the staff are so helpful. The menu is all encompassing and all you have to do is ask. The staff are very knowledgeable and are happy to suggest ideas. It's become a regular haunt and we've never had a bad meal

Our son recommended the restaurant so we decided to go with our son and his girlfriend, we all had the Al la carte buffet and wasn't disappointed food was excellent and there was plenty of it service was very good staff very friendly, will definitely go again.Highly recommended.

The food was good, BUT four adults and two children with the set charge for food and two beers, two glass of wine, two coke and two waters came to £175!!!!! Obviously I will never go back.

As usual, the food was piping hot and flavoursome. Yes, some things are a little salty, but it is what I expect when I order 'salt and pepper' mushrooms. The clue is in the name of the dish!

Love the Palace. The management is a hoot, constantly walking around communicating with patrons. Food is fresh, tasty and pleasant to the eye. I would recommend the Palace to anyone, not just in the Holbeach area but those willing to travel a few miles for a good atmosphere and EXCELLENT Chinese food.

Always went to Beijing palace. I stopped to pick up a takeaway only to find different people there. Ordered my food and when got home, had to throw it away. It was awful. I would travels miles for their spare ribs, but they had been boiled and a sauce pored over them and no meat. Change your chef and ask the other chef to come back. Would not recommend to anyone.

Excellent food as always. The service is superb and the staff are very lovely and always make you feel welcome never rush you. Would recommend it to anyone.

Worst chinese I have had in years. Food over salty and meat uneadable, worst of all over priced! Tempura veg was in a thick batter seemed like they were trying to fill you up with stodgy batter and give you less vegetable and meat

im disabled so good as they bring food to you as most buffets you go help yourself food is cooked just for you alway fantastic ribs we travel from norwich to here maybe 55 miles well worth it nothing in norwich can beat it staff friendly and never keep you waiting well done to all the staff

Took the Mrs for a surprise trip and as usual it was perfect in every way. The food was amazing especially the ribs and service was quick and pleasant.

Amazing Food, food containers were filled to capacity and tasted superb. Salt and pepper chips were fantastic. Definitely recommend.

We took two of our Grandchildren there and were delighted. Owner is very friendly and encourages you to eat more. Good selection of food and drinks.We had plenty of food for four and a bottle of wine for Grandma and soft drinks for us and the total came to less than £100. Brilliant place to take the kids.

On entry we were said hello to and we asked for a table for 2, we were asked if we had booked but we had not. So the waitress seated us and asked us what drinks we would like. She told us how the menu worked. We ordered after a few minutes. The starters were nice and hot part from the satay chicken just luke warm. The second course chicken lettuce wrap was very salty. 3rd course was ok we skipped the 4th course. On the whole the food was acceptable although far to salty. The glass that one of the drinks was in smelt dirty. The restaurant was cold and we were sat in a draught. Which was very uncomfortable. The toilets smelt awful too. The chairs were uncomfortable with hardly any padding in them. The table cloths and napkins need to go in a boil wash or replaced as they were stained. All in all a disappointing evening. Will not be returning. For the price of the food and drinks you need to up your game.

I have been here twice now, and both times have been excellent. Service is very good as well. I will definitely be returning.

Have eaten here often but tonight we had a takeaway. It was pretty awful. Crispy shredded chicken to tough to eat and taste less. Ribs not t to bad. Piquency chicken inedible. Let down.

We have not been here for some time but looked forward to this visit. We were not disappointed . Starters were hot and tasty and a good selection. We ordered a second round. The duck and pancakes were a little disappointing, small quantity and not very hot, but the main courses were very good. Very attentive staff and we will visit again.

Car park is a total mess!!! Massive dips and puddles every where, couldn’t get to restuarant without being very carefull starter was not very hot and being duck wasn’t very nice, the rest of food was just edible,, went to toilets and was shocked!!! Filthy black pan bucket under urinal!!! Hello place needs a total refurb won’t be back

I have never ever had a disappointing meal here! The food is always fantastic, the staff are friendly and helpful, nothing is too much!

What an amazing place so glad we found it , the food is the best ever the staff lovely the owner was lovely too came around to say hello and was so good with the children every one is catered for gluten free and celiac’s just need to let them know or read the menu. They will feed you till you can’t eat any more , menu tells you how it works you can order as many starters as you like so you can share three things each then three more different staters each keep going till you have had enough then do the same with the first and main course what you can’t do is go back so don’t move on till you have had what you wanted the meal is a set price and even if you don’t eat you pay £15 the price goes up sat and sun this is my favourite place and my favourite food and the food I have ever had I would book early and go early we spent 4.1/2 hours eating . there’s a big car park and disabled toilets . You really won’t be disappointed .

It is about 15 miles away from us and well worth the drive, we have the all you can eat Buffet on Sunday which I believe is available from 7pm you order your starters and then you get asked by friendly staff if you would like anymore starters or if you want to move onto your next course, you are not rushed at all? The food is very good and the staff are always helpful and pleasant.

We were recommended the restaurant by somebody else and found it was a pleasant experience. The starters and duck were lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed them all. However, we ordered two black bean dishes for main course and had to return them both as they tasted only of salt! We had 2/3 other dishes which were nice but nothing amazing. I would return but not the best Chinese I've ever had overall.

My God-daughter and I booked a table yesterday for a catch up meal. Sticky table, flies everywhere, no lights at all switched on, place in darkness and thrown in for free, was a miserable waitress - no smile at all. The spare ribs and sauce were their usual exceptional standard, but the rest of the meal was tasteless. I was very disappointed and although my God-daughter was polite in saying it was OK, I will not be going there again until it improves. My visits there with friends averaged once a month, it is not only their loss, but mine as well, because it used to be good

Since moving up from London we have been struggling to find a good local Chinese let alone a buffet but we have now found it Great service, amazing food with very friendly and accommodating staff

I have eaten at this restaurant a few times in the past and have had takeouts too. The food used to be exceptional until I got a takeout for six people last May. The food was shocking and I haven't been back until last Friday when I thought I might give it another go. I ordered mixed starters, steamed rice, sweet and sour prawn balls, chinese curry sauce and steamed rice.

On our way home today we called in for the first time in about a year. The place is completely lacking in atmosphere, where are the Chinese who were always welcoming and cheerful?

Best Chinese food we have eaten for a long time, couldn’t fault the quality, price or service and would definitely go again. A nice touch was that the Proprietor, Eric, came round all the tables to make sure everything was OK. A very pleasant and genial host.

Family visit on a busy Saturday evening. Buffet offers a wide range of foods with good portions. Waiting staff are polite, efficient and highly attentive. Food is well prepared and well presented. The All you can eat menu is excellent value for money. Just one comment would be that drinks are expensive.

I've been here about 15 times and I plan on going every chance I get. Food is amazing, especially for what you pay for. Its cheap and staff are very friendly.

Burnt prawn toasts, tough ribs, cold duck pancakes and only ice cream for dessert. Crumpled table cloths and napkins; we saw a waiter picking up used napkins from vacated tables and re-folding them for the next clients. This used to be a first class restaurant - what a disappointment! We were on a ladies' night out and didn't want to spoil it by complaining, but when I rang to calmly explain the problems the following day, there was not even the hint of an apology, I was shouted at for not complaining on the spot. I would do so next time, except that there will be no next time.

Oh dear, what has happened yes it was a busy saturday evening, but if you are in this trade you should know how to deal with it. Don't have that many covers if you can't provide the service. Most of those waiting were too young and/or inexperienced, you would ask for a drink they would write it down but it took over 30 mins to arrive. We had booked a table for 10 at 19.00, I don't know when we got our starters but when served there was not enough of each item only portions of six were being served for 10 adults??? despite repeated asking in the end we gave up, by the time we got to 21.00 and no sogn of more food or any sign of wraps/soups despite asking several times 4 of our table decided to go home, 2 being diaabetic and needed to eat, 6 of us stuck it out but to be honest it was really not worth the wait. We will go back I very much doubt it unless reviews show significant improvement.

Good quality meals and service. The only downside is the state of the tarmac carpark. My advice is, wear wellies if it's been raining!

Having previously posted how good this restaraunt was I have to say the second visit was far far from satisfactory pre booked table of nine starters took over an hour and then serbed for six we had to ask for more then another hour before...

We came to this restaurant for our daughters birthday.There was 6 in our party and to say it was superb is an understatement ,all 6 of us absolutely loved it.We had the buffet menu and I couldn't believe the amount of food that came out piping hot and delicious .My wife and I are in our 70s and been eating Chinese food for decades and this as good as we have ever had.The staff was very attentive and friendly and always checking that everything was ok and kept replenishing the dishes as and when required .We will definatly be going back.

Hace poco volví al Palacio de Beijing para el buffet de la noche, dos muy buenos amigos que nunca habían estado antes. Estábamos celebrando el cumpleaños de mi esposa y nuestro aniversario, así que esperaba que sería una buena noche. No teníamos que habernos preocupado, ya que era una noche fantástica aún más especiales por su excelente comida y un servicio excelente.

Love visiting this restaurant, when I'm down this way visiting family, staff are always so friendly but at the same time very professional, both eating in and takeaway are very nice.

I've been a customer here a number of times in the past, and most recently last night with the new partner & extended amounts of family. These things can be an awkward affair, but I knew that with some good food we would all have something in common. In the evenings it works as an order what you like from a buffet menu which is cooked to order and at lunchtimes it's a hot buffet. You need to pre-pay for the daytime buffet as they've had some bilkers disappear & ruin it for everyone else. The drinks are a bit pricey but the manager bloke can't do anything but help. Part of our table was the 14 year old step sister & her new boyfriend, who saw a lettuce wrap & then said "I need to be good I just want the lettuce." No vegetables. No chicken. The lettuce. And you know what, he accommodated it with some well presented lettuce leaves & also sent out half an iceberg for the giggles. Genius. The takeout is good quality & always hot when I get back and if you order give yourself 20 minutes before you pick it up. I usually ask as it depends on how busy it is. There is no delivery. The website if you Google it is their Facebook page & the website mentioned on that page doesn't work so you won't get a menu. There are nuts in the kitchen. Maybe the guy cooking is too but I've never met him. If you have allergies speak to the guy with a bald head (manager man) and he will talk you through. I've been with some pretty picky people & they still get fed. Don't let the outside fool you, this is a top little eatery & the spare ribs are the best I've ever had from a Chinese.

We took my Mum and Dad here for a fathers day surprise. It was an extremely hot day and I rang the restaurant in the afternoon to check that they had air conditioning and was told yes.Well, technically I suppose that's true but it didn't work very well and it was very warm in there.We had booked but the waitress had no clue about that and showed us to the first table she came to.The complimentary cold water that is advertised in posters on the walls was lukewarm and tasted quite unpleasant - we ordered a large bottle of cold water that cost nearly £4.00. A good marketing ruse!!The food however was pretty good with a good selection on the buffet table. There were some very welcome chunks of refreshing melon. Very nice on a hot day.The sweet and sour chicken was lovely. As was the prawn toast.It was replenished often and you could go up as many times as you liked.I would return to try this £9.95 per head buffet again and Dad really enjoyed himself so job done!

There are a number of options you can have the fixed price buffet or chose from the full menu and on a Sunday there is a help yourself buffet table. Good select of food, friendly staff also willing to adapt a dish e.g take out the sweetcorn

I visited this restaurant with two friends at 7pm on Saturday evening. The restaurant was busy (always a good sign) and the atmosphere was good. We were quickly shown to our table and our drinks orders were taken. We then ordered our starters. We chose six different items from the menu to share. The starters arrived in good time and were hot. Because it is a buffet menu there is something for everyone on there. I can 100% recommend the ribs. We were then offered more starters and then 'wrappers'. The main course was disappointing and if I visited again I would fill up on the starters and wrappers and forgo the main, but that is my personal choice. Although the restaurant was busy the service was attentive but not intrusive. The plates were cleared quickly and the food delivered in good time with a sensible gap between courses. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

We have been coming here for years, it was great when Eric had it, the food was always hot, service great & always busy. We ate here recently just myself & my husband & it was a Sunday evening, & not very busy but we were sat at a table completely out on a limb but it didn't bother us to much it was fine. We ordered the mixed starter for 2 & one of the items on it was the crispy chicken & when we cut into it all liquid squirted out of it and neither of us could eat it but luckily we had a bag with us so we put it in there & binned it when we got home along with the stuffed mushrooms which were cold in the middle but the spare ribs, sesame toast, a veggie pancake rolls were all fine & hot. The main couse came & the chow mein was only just luke warm & one of the dishes was king prawn sweet & sour cantonese style & when it came you could see it wasn't hot as the sauce was set. We wanted to get a photo but the staff were loitering as usual but it did have a funny side because we removed the 4 king prawns from the plate & we could actually tip the plate up without anything falling of it, even the pineapple stayed put because it was just like set jelly, it was awful. Also the drinks are so overpriced, a large coke £ 3.40, a pint of lager £ 4.20 but a half a pint was £ 3.00, why not just half the quantity half the price ? We are also partly to blame because we never complained but we just will never go back again, such a shame as we have had some lovely meals here in the earlier years when Eric had it. Also we drank about 2 litres of fluid through the night, the foods just full of salt & sugar it really is not good here now. I think back to when Eric had it and i feel it had quality as well as quantity & now i feel theres no quality about it so if your looking for poor food but plenty of it then this is the place for you but if you like good quality food then don't go here, our local chinese takeaway restaurant food is superior to this & much hotter even after the 10 minute drive home. Such a shame as this used to be one of our favourite places to eat & we've been customers for years but no more.

Nothing special, not a bean sprout or water chestnut in sight. My Satay was the same gravy as my friends with just some hot sauce added. Egg fried rice left a lot to be desired as well. Conclusion only go there if no were else to eat !!

Real nice food and friendly service. A good selection of foods, not too spicy nice home cooked food.

Ok family and friends celebrating a birthday on a Sunday forget the roast.... time for a Chinese and what a good decision. Friendly helpful staff not rushed despite being there 45 minutes after closing. The food was really really good and it just kept coming we let them choose a range of starters good move. We had an American friend who said the barbecue sauce on the ribs was the best she had tasted in the UK. The ribs were huge all was piping hot and tasty with something for everyone. Then a good 30 minute relax before the mains arrived again faultless.Value for money at £20 per person including drinks the drive was worth itA little out of the way but we will certainly be going back. Yum yum.

First and last time here!!! Turned up having previously booked a table to be greeted by a blank expression, they couldn't find booking, then left standing around whilst they prepared one. A table tucked out of sight and near a draughty window. Had to keep pulling coat over my shoulders to keep warm. Service was terrible we had the buffet and the men serving did not interact or smile, you just had your food plonked down hurriedly. On a couple of occasions they rudely reached over me without even an excuse me. We felt like we had taken someone elses table and was being rushed. It was early on in the evening and was not even busy and the worst thing was it was supposed to be a treat for my Son's 21st Birthday. Appalling restaurant, night ruined and felt like i'd just ate at a fast food joint. Very unwelcoming and will never waste anymore time or money at this place! The food at best was mediocre and not 'a la carte' as described. Don't waste a special night or your money on this place!

Food is brilliant service is superb excellent menu you'll be a fool if you don't go and try. Reasonable price food . You can pick off the menu or go on a Sunday and have a buffet (ribs are amazing)

First visit Wednesday evening and thought it would be the usual Chinese buffet, but not at all. Started to read the instructions on the menu, when quick as a flash a waiter arrived and explained the modus operandii. The food was very good and service impeccable. Will definitely be going back.

My wife and I have slightly differing tastes when it comes to Chinese food. Her soup was devoid of flavour and sent back. I had a seafood dish that was like stodgey gloop and I could not eat . a real change from our other visits. I should point out that this was last May Front of house staff very friendly but food that evening was sadly lacking.Would not return . but as have moved house it will not happen .

A different alternative, to other Xmas Do's, this was a great evening and I think a buffet suits large groups. All you eat it is, a nice choice of starters, but we let them choose a selection for us which was more than enough anyone still Hungary was free to request more items. Second coarse traditional Duck and pancakes, with alternative of Lamb or soup, this is where pacing yourself comes into being. Everyone then choose their main, those that could were just able to manage. I couldn't fault the food and yes we were not Hungary when we left. Service was good with a special presence from there Head waiter who had us in stitches we referred to him as Penfold the likeable sidekick of Dangermouse. Great night good food.

Been here a few times now on the whole the food is very good , however, weekdays we have found the food not so good as on a weekend. Service is good but last night despite ordering them twice we never did receive the Tempura Vegetables and had to order 3 times before receiving the battered king prawns. When the bill came there was £12 of drinks not ordered by us on the bill , however these were removed when questioned. We will go back again but best to check the bill when it arrives.

Went to bejing palace saturday night with freinds . Service was very good not to long to wait after ordering . Starters was really good ribs are the best ever. My daughter had the crab sweetcorn soup she said it was amazeing ☺the duck and pancakes were good .i had sweet and sour king prawns cantonese style they were very good . Drinks was bit steep but always are when you go to a all you can eat .my partner let the side down couldnt eat any more after his starters and couple of duck pancakes he said he probably ate too much batterd starters .all of us was well and truely stuffed when we left .

Food is so good. A little expensive but definitely worth it. Friendly service and always busy. Booking is a must.

A visited Beijing Palace for the first time with some friends. We received a warm welcome and were seated immediately, and our drinks arrived quickly. The service was excellent, friendly and quick.There is plenty of choice on the menu, and this is a buffet style restaurant so you can have what you like, and as much as you like. Each person selects two items at a time from the menu per course, and you can chop and change as you go along to try different things. I highly recommend the smoke chicken, a slight addiction for me! All the food we received was freshly cooked and tasty (although perhaps a little heavy on the salt!), and arrived swiftly to our table after we ordered it. All in with drinks, we spent £25 a head, which wasn't too bad for the quality and quantity of food. I would certainly look forward to a return visit!

I thought the buffet was restricted as the rules wer'nt explained well.But by the end of the meal I found the quality of the food to be the best I had ever had. Food cooked to perfection, don't know how the chef can serve food consistently not over or undercooked at all.Thought it was expensive and unwelcoming at first but found it to be very good value for the quality and quantity of food.

Having never visited before we went with an open mind. Very glad we visited! Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We were made very welcome and everything explained brilliantly by the host who really is a character! It was full that night so there was a delay between courses but not a long one. All in all we had a great meal. Would definitely consider trying a takeaway too. Its not the most spectacular setting but the food was delicious.

It was our first visit and was generally impressed. Nice environment good food and very friendly and helpful staff and management. The only downside, which is common in these type of establishments, is the high cost of drinks both soft and alcoholic.Will certainly go again.

Went for the Sunday night buffet, lots of choice, all freshly cooked, staff very friendly drinks where expensive.

Fabulous food on a marvellous menu, staff are always friendly and helpful. Go there regularly, always go for buffet option that they have in menu. Food is reall tasty and has the authentic Chinese taste to all of their dishes, there food is service is prett y quick, if they busy need to wait around 10 mins or little longer because they are cook from fresh not the fast food . I love to go these restaurant foreverrrrrrrrrr!!!!

Family meal a little spoiled by a hair being found in a bowl of sweet and sour dipping sauce, Sauce changed but no management apology! Otherwise service on first two course's was reasonable but a really long wait for the main course. Food quality was no better than average but prices at top end.

We had a takeaway from this restaurant last night and were pleasantly surprised. We felt it was well priced, decent sized portions, fresh and not laden in MSG. No hunger afterwards and no extreme thirst today which is usually a sign of lots of MSG.The hot and sour soup was superb and the best I have tasted outside of Asia. Crispy Beef was saucy and not dry at all. Singapore rice noodles were perfect, fried rice was not sticky at all and the prawn crackers were not oily, super crispy and you could taste the prawns in them.My only complaint was the salt and pepper squid. It was way over salted and not edible. We live some distance away so could not return it but will raise it when we visit again.Had it not been for the squid I would have given a 4, sadly the squid let it down hence the 3. We will visit again to give them another chance, just for the hot and sour soup.
