I received poor and rude service from a female staff member here today.

"Starbucks generally provides hot water for free. While there may be some instances where a purchase is required for a cup of water or to use the bathroom, the standard practice is to offer complimentary hot water upon request. "(quote google) I was waiting the Starbucks app to open and was about to order. My friend was feeling cold and asked for a cup of hot water, The one at the till (she) said that WE DO NOT OFFER HOT WATER. Ok I did not buy anything yet but I would not just come in the store and stand there for nothing if I would not order. Aperantly I ordered a tea for my friend without the tea bag in it. Offering hot water is just a joke. The other workers were nice, but the one at the till, I don't need to like her, so, I don't.

Very Rude staff bought a drink mostly ice asked politely if I could just get a cup of hot water along with my drink the staff member started acting cocky and rude the guy I also ordered off was acting if I was wasting his time as someone who works in customers service it was appalling not hard to smile and be polite

Great place to enjoy a coffee and cake the service is great fast and efficient and I'm always greeted with a smile and a chat 😀 would definitely recommend the place always a silver service

The one who takes orders is rude, spends his time doing his hair. No patience with new customers. Uneasy atmosphere. (I looked at the screen with the advertisement for their hot drink and this character didn't like it). As they say at home, when you're not happy you don't come back. In terms of cleanliness and friendliness, there is work to be done.

Alex Keith is a top notch employee! Extremely helpful and charismatic! Made my drink exquisitely. I’ve had previous bad experiences at this location but every time he works it makes up for it.

Sadly the weak wi fi meant I couldn't get points via the app and staff said it was a refular/known problem

Food and drinks well overpriced. I asked for a white americano and she asked me whether or not I wanted milk and on top of that the coffee didn't taste good

not delivery drivers fault at all just my drink is like half empty and my pain au chocolat is pretty much solid it feels very stale.

Delivery very prompt. Coffee really hot and very good - tried the Salted Maple and Caramel Latte - and pumpkin cake and pumpkin cookie absolutely delicious! Ginger shot nice and fiery!

Took my own cup for a cold filter with oat milk. Nisa served me and did a great job as I'm not good with ordering on the app.

Nice place, good quality coffee as one can expect from Starbucks. Staff was polite. However, AC at 16 degrees and maximum fan mode, making the place unbearably cold. Even wearing a hoodie, started displaying early signs of hypothermia after 20 minutes and had to leave.

Amazing drinks, good options, amazing staff. 5/5 stars.

Lots of big flies upstairs and tables were dirty

I would like to point out that this team are fantastic... Im not from Canterbury but I had the best experience in this branch. I am a fellow Starbucks worker from many moons ago but I have never experienced such energy, welcome, and service from any other Starbucks even in my home town, I would also like to give a shout out to seph who worked there!! They were absolutely amazing!! Unfortunately my survey time ran out but I want to make sure they get noticed for their hard work 😊👌🏽 keep up the good work.. This is what Starbucks is for.. The atmosphere, and absolutely had it 😊👌🏽

Atmosphere is nice but staff very rude despite asking nicely. I asked for a bit oftimey as was asking the children what they would like and Mr American student went out straight rude fixing his fringes and telling me to wait when I was ready to order when he was just chatting with the barrista. Been to other Starbucks in Canterbury and around the world and never had this kind of unmannered staff before. Such a shame. Croissant cold and squishy, coffee meehh. The Starbucks staff near Aldi are way better. Staff need better training or at least some customer service/courtesy 101, no excuse if you are a student, this is a job you are paid for and should learn from both professionally and in life.

Got my order my drink was everywhere in the bag I couldn’t drink it because there was none left in the cup

Wanted to view upstairs seating area as worked in this space for 13 years in the 1950/60's when it was the Co-operative Insurance Society offices. Interesting change of use. Only had coffee.

The order says delivered but it never came.

The reason why people go to Starbucks in general is because of the drinks of course. That is, undeniably the best part of starbucks. Though if you're looking for a quick snack or a bite, this place can also offer amazing snacks packed with sugar. The atmosphere is nice. Some people say its dirty and sticky though I have never found any table or any floor segment that was dirty or sticky. Atmosphere is very ambient. Very clean and staff is extremely nice.

my drink lid was no closed properly at all and i only had ice left in my cup

Missing item as they were sold out, they just gave me an empty bag instead of calling me or giving me something else as a substitute

The drinks are AMAZING and definitely worth it definitely going to order the same again! 😊 ( you should pay the driver extra money 💵 💴 💰)

The staff have a better attitude than café Nero, although it does get busy sometimes.

Wi-Fi not working Bathrooms are locked and they do not give the code

took my granddaughter here for first time today she has pku and it is hard to find things she can have the waitress Imani was amazing looked up every single ingredient for a drink to find out weather she was able to drink it. She went out of her way to help has made an 11 year old child day and then came out to check that she was enjoying her drink. 11 year old rates Imani and the shop 10/10

I visited Starbucks in Canterbury High Street a few times in the past years, and I have some mixed feelings about it. The staff there are always friendly, but sometimes the queue can be very long, and the cleanliness can vary from visit to visit. However, I must mention that they have recently undergone a refurbishment, which has made a noticeable improvement. One of the best things about this Starbucks is that there is always plenty of seating available upstairs. However, I must say that the toilets could use some improvement. Nevertheless, the location of this Starbucks is top-notch, making it an excellent spot for meeting up with friends or grabbing a quick coffee while exploring the town. Overall, I have ambivalent feelings about my experience at this Starbucks. Although I appreciate the friendly staff and the new refurbishment, the long queues and variable cleanliness levels can be frustrating. However, if you are looking for a convenient location to enjoy your coffee and catch up with friends, Starbucks in Canterbury High Street could be worth a try.

It took 4 different staff members to make the order I wanted. Very rude when I had to explain what the order was again and again. Then had to look up the order to show them what it looked like. Clearly need more training or new staff members.

Everything was delicious. No coffee spilt! Ham and cheese sandwich fabulous and very speedy delivery. Love Starbucks!

So sweet, they didn’t have a pain au chocolate anymore so they gave me a chocolate twist and a little note with it to explain what happened!

Great food and drink whilst shopping.

My friend and I wanted to spend our morning here while enjoying a nice cup of coffee. However, it was a bummer that the wifi was barely working for the both of us. Therefore, we decided to leave for another place to relax. Personally, if you'd like to settle in a cafe to do your work, I wouldn't recommend this Starbucks due to its poor wifi connection and low signal area xx

Nice service, a bit souless inside

I wasnt impressed by the canterbury Starbucks, I wasn't sure if the place was under refit as it looks half finished, when ordering the lattes they didn't have 2 of the flavours I asked for, the one I could actually buy tasted absolutely disgusting. The whole atmosphere of the cafe was dead so overall I wont be returning.

Lovely coffee and muffin but very disappointed that the salted caramelised pretzel hot chocolate was out of stock especially since its advertised everywhere, which is why we chose Starbucks for a coffee date anyway..😒 oh and we were only told after payment was taken, put in a situation where it was almost too late to pull out altogether.

Bit of a crowded one this . And was a very long wait for the drinks . Bit overall there wasn't an issue . We got a nice coffee and frappe and then carried on with our day

“May I have a grande dark roast?” “You mean a drip coffee? We don’t have any drip coffee now. We won’t have any all day.” That’s a first for a Starbucks!

Good range of products, great place to visit for a special treat

A few things weren't available from the menu, this was a bit disappointing. The staff was very friendly, they served our order quickly. Unfortunately the cleanliness wasn't very good, we saw dropped napkins in a few places, and nobody went to pick them up. I think this is because there weren't enough workers in duty. Anyway our experience was fine, I'm sure we will be back again

Just like other outlets around the world, they are always busy, always there is a line to place your order. But taste is not up to the mark.

10/10 clean and spacious and welcoming - even early in the morning!! Thank you to the lovely baristas Pedro and Nick who didn’t question my scolding hot coffee request! Approved by Ted too, 5 stars for the puppacinno :)

I took my daughter here for lunch on Sunday and wow the guy that served us was rude. My daughter asked for a iced vanilla latte and as she didn't want decaff coffee the man was plain rude. Yes she is small for her age but mind your own business .

It's a Starbucks no more no less

Nice coffee, freindly staff, looks busy but were served quickly and efficiently. Staff were very polite and helpful. The store was busy with kids but was clean and tidy had lots of bakery items too choose from.

Coffee didn't taste like cofee. It took absolute ages because the personnel was just chatting about their holidays. (I have been to far better starbucks locations)

The Wifi doesn't work. Don't go there if you're planning to work

Ordered ‘A toastie to be thankful for’ paid £5.39 and it’s smaller then my hand, burnt and tastes gross. Definitely not thankful

The interior of this Starbucks is one of the strangest I've been in. It feels like you are waiting for a coffee in a public toilet because of the stark tiling on the walls and wherever you stand to wait for your drink is in the way. Not the best.

Ordered 2 Gingerbread Lattes and a sausage bap. 1 latte and the bap were great, however, the other Latte has no gingerbread syrup in it... It's just a normal Latte. Was very disappointed

Sells coffee and variations and overpriced cakes. Really wanted an extra hot beverage but wasn't allowed as they've previously been sued for causing burns from hot liquid, really! Ginger coffee was nice, even though lukewarm for me taste 😋

Quick, cheery service and plenty of seating upstairs. Christmas drinks out already only down side food choice was very limited.

Been to star bucks today disappointed, the staff (lady) needs to know how to make an extra hot chai latte, they made it cold sweet drink, when asked she is adamant that its extra hot 🔥 probably to her & not for me.

Decent decor. The outside seating area is good for people watching. On the weekends it can get pretty busy

Good Starbucks, new and modern decor. Good service and a nice selection of things to buy (mugs, coffee beans etc). Would recommend for fans of Starbucks coffee, also very central.

The staff is amazing here in canterbury. We asked if we can study here and we did. Upstairs is very beautiful, with alot of space with beautiful music in the background . It is suitable for families and for work/study meetings❤️❤️❤️👌

Went to Starbucks today, all I can say is my big toes has more manners and enthusiasm then the girl that served me… Sort your face out, all I asked was how much the drink was as I was unable to see, things like that just ruin your day.

Better since it was modernised. Currently buy a takeaway drink from here as Tier 3 means no eat in or drink in. The toilets are wonderful but this branch finally got a make over after 12 years in this location and it was needed as it looked really tired. Well made drinks. Very good service from the staff today. Toilets are shut but kindly let my elderly mother use the toilet as she needed to go. It was appreciated.

Great service and good coffee as you would expect. Present situation there have been adjustments to facilitate social distancing. Staff are friendly and helpful and overall its a very good experience.

I can see that this place would normally be a great place to hang out and chill but with the present situation there have been adjustments to facilitate social distancing. It’s been well implemented though and you feel comfortable whilst you are in the store. Staff are friendly and helpful and overall its a very good experience.
