We came on the off chance that we would get a table as it was the Sumner Holidays and we were seated quite quickly. Emma was our server . We always like coming here as we know she’s always working so will be guaranteed a friendly welcome . Always has a chat no matter how busy it is and you can see this with all customers . She took our order quite quickly and the food came out quickly even though it was quite busy. We had the mixed grill and sirloin steak which was cooking to our liking . Food was lovely as per usual. Reading other reviews I was disappointed expected better. Roast dinner potatoes and parsnips burnt and meat tough. Vegetables one soggy one hard ! Carpets filthy , food under our table which was old and marked, chairs heavily stained and worn. Needs deep cleaning and updating. Only plus were the 2 lovely ladies who were trying hard to do everything including drinks but this meant slow service (which is not their fault) there should be more staff to support them . Sadly won’t return

I say this while I am still eating, very friendly staff, excellent roast potatoes I even ate my nans. The chicken was lush and wasn't dry, and the gravy was delicious. The server we had was very kind and welcoming and very attentive towards her customers. RUN DO NOT WALK FOR THE ROAST POTATOES! my experience was amazing and definitely will be returning.

In our travels to Wales, we stopped off here to grab some food whilst the roads were congested. Staff were friendly and happy to help with gluten free menu as I’m a coeliac and need to follow a strict gf diet. Plenty of choice on the ‘muggle’ menu and the gf. We both had a burger and you wouldn’t be able to tell which was which. Food was delicious!

Had a party close by so stayed at the hotel. Had evening meal and breakfast. Evening meal was spot on steak was perfect. Breakfast was good also maybe a little pricey though.

Nicer food and better value elsewhere. Asked for menu from banner and told ‘it’s changed’ . Well if it’s changed take the advertising banner down. Ordered from main menu. Very average. Supposedly ‘triple cooked chips’ were hard and barely cooked. Staff indistinguishable from diners. Trainers, jeans and casual shirts. Staff while not rude seemed to be on autopilot. Will not be returning despite being given discount voucher to use next visit.

Travelling from Scotland. Booked a table and we were very early but this was no problem and we were given a table immediately. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Service was perfect. Fantastic staff and food, the staff are really friendly, and all know their menu very well, great recommendations especially for our younger diners. The food was fanatic, Sunday roasts available as well as main menu, so plenty of choice for our group of 11 out for a birthday treat. Thanks to all the staff, Caren, Kath, Hannah & all the others. Sat in the bar and had 2 ultimate roasts. Everything was cooked perfectly. Served by Rhian on the bar. Restaurant side was busy and staff were all great will be back.

Came in on monday night and ordered 2 medium rare mixed grills and my my the food was to die for everything was cooked to our liking, we were shocked as it was a lot busier than we expected it to be for a monday but with food like that we were not suprides and the food arrived to our table in no time. The only downside was the staff we did see looked really busy feels like you were short staffed and we didnt want to order any more drinks to add the pressure onto your staff but nevertheless we had a good night.

The best Sunday roast! We went as a big party of 9 people. All food was piping hot and absolutely delicious. We were served by the loveliest ladies, Caren and Hannah. Nothing was too much trouble and they really looked after us. I'd highly recommend eating at the Beefeater Runcorn.

A lovely atmosphere with very pleasant staff. Emma & Caren served my daughter & I, nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was excellent, we had a special, 2 for 12.99 & really enjoyed it. We both went for the lasagne. Felt really at home & would certainly go again. Highly recommend.

We had the full English breakfast. There is plenty of fruit juice, cereal, mufgins etc to start and then your full English. Nice quality food, great service and a nice clean place. I finished off with Toadt and Marmite/jam. Well worth the £9.99 each. Dawn served us and she was lovely. Really polite, friendly and helpful. We will definitely return

Arrived at midday reserved table for 3. 1 other customer visible indoors. 3 staff stood behind and infront of the bar. I wasn't asked if I was dining. I pointed out the lock on the front door was not retracted. That was discussed by 2 staff then I was asked if I was there for lunch? An individual told me they have the roast lunch every Sunday and they had their order taken, meal brought, eaten and departed before our meals were brought to table. We watched as a group of 3 had burgers brought to their table. A couple adjacent to us had starters brought, another couple had a roast lunch each brought out before ours and a further couple served, all arrived after us. The garlic bread starter requested to come with the lunches was brought ahead of them and was dissapointing it was hard? At no point did a staff member acknowledge we were waiting significantly longer than all other diners. The kitchen staff had presented a very pleasing plate for each of the 3 meals ordered when it arrived. Everything was cooked well thank you. But there were no shredded greens as described on the menu for the best ever Sunday Roast. We asked if a second Yorkshire pudding could be provided but told "no, if you want another it will be charged extra for". So advertising unlimited Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes and gravy we didn't waste our breath asking about the other 2 alleged unlimited items. Should the menu's be withdrawn and re written then? We asked if there was any cranberry sauce please? No. Menu says with all the trimming then lists the pigs in blankets and cauliflower cheese were additional charges. No stuffing. 1 of our lunches the steak sampler 24.99 requested no tomato please so the flat mushroom was omitted too. There was no acknowledgement even as we paid that we had had to wait longer than multiple tables. One pudding had been ordered and eventually delivered. 2 and a half hours on exiting.

Had a really nice meal with my wife to celebrate surviving dry January (ok the 31st is still technically January 😁) We were spoilt by Ellis and Emma who are very friendly, bubbly and smiley and made us feel really welcome (like I'd known them for years) I'm sure we will be back before dry January starts again.......
