Excellent service and quality breakfast

Usual Beefeater food standards but unfortunately the staff were more worried about setting up for breakfast than serving, we had to chase them and were rushed to leave.

Had the Sunday roast beef lovely would recommend it

We are an ex forces charity club on a monthly meet up for breakfast usually ten to twenty members. Good food, excellent service,

Steak was good, but the Mac and cheese was maybe 2 spoonfuls, the desert was a thin slice of cake, and overall was overpriced

Popped in for lunch and went for daytime bites menu. Really good value. Great food. Staff were excellent. Always enjoy visiting the newhouse.

Back on a return visit.Welcoming staff as usual and the food was lovely as always.We stayed at the premier inn next door so it was great to bob in and get a breakfast before our travels.

Went for lunch, food was nice, service was good, but there was no atmosphere, maybe even some low music because it was too quiet in there. Place was nice and clean, looked new, not sure if it is, it justneeds a little atmosphere. I expect in the evenings it would be different

The only place locally I would go for a steak and the manager Ross is amazing. So very chatty and welcoming! Can’t speak highly enough about this place

The food and menu options are average but cooked well and were flavoursome. There's a nice pub vibe here and the staff are super friendly

No light bites only full meals available. £16.79 for a burger and chips with a “dod” of greyish coleslaw. Left the roll, half the burger, chips didn’t dare touch the coleslaw. Granddaughter almost broke her tooth on her burger roll so left the whole burger but did eat most of her chips, grandson demolished his,wasn’t the best burger he’s had, I had fish bites and chips from kids menu it was completely tasteless, even the crumb coating was tasteless. No condiments on the table had to ask for salt, pepper and vinegar, salt was damp and wouldn’t come out the dish, vinegar was full of sediment or some other substance who knows. Staff were having a great time bawling at each other, a great laugh apparently, we stopped going two years ago, after being regulars because it was great for the kids but the prices had gone through the roof and the service was dreadful. Now the prices have hit the stratosphere and the service is abysmal. As far as we’re concerned the Newhouse Hotel is shut, never to reopen

We where in before 5 so your getting a menu deal before 5 myself my husband got 2 rump steaks small but lovely coffee and 2 chocolate brownies 16 pound for 2 mains

Bought a meal deal from Premier Inn next door. Calamari and Gammon Steak, both nicely done. Friendly and attentive staff. I can only assume the poor reviews have come from evenings where they've been really busy as tonight, quite quiet when I was in, couldn't be fairly faulted.

Great service and wonderful menus. We ate very well for a very reasonable price. The cheap and filling children's menu. The burgers 🍔 are delicious, very good meat. Highly recommended if you come across any of this chain's restaurants in Scotland.

My family stayed for 3 days on the weekend of the 18th May 2024. We had 3 breakfasts and a lunch. The food and value were excellent. The most important thing was the excellent service from the staff. Always smiling and very cheery. I will definitely recommend this restaurant. A great family atmosphere.

Went here for a visit as I received an email with a voucher to use. Staff were very pleasant. The place was busy and I would advise booking a table. It is table service. You need to put your car registration number in so you get 3 hours free parking.

Was there on 29th Feb we were approached by manager an abruptly told at 10.15pm that they were close and we would need to finish our drinks vacate the bar, less than a minute later another member or the staff approached us with her jacket on and said we need to leave. There was a group of 21 plus us 3 and another 2 ladies asked to leave. At 9.50pm the group of 21 asked for another round and they were told if they wanted another round it would need to be paid by card. 10pm the last orders was called. When the manager again approached us at 10.25pm with his jacket on we told him according to the website it was open till 11pm he said no, since December until June it was only opened till 10.30pm if this was the case why hasn't your website not been updated. I wouldn't have left a review if they hadn't been as abrupt. Yours sincerely Tracy Watson

The Lanarkshire Armed Veterans breakfast club is held there on the 3rd Sunday of every month. I attended this. Fantastic atmosphere food & staff.

Arrived at half 5 as booked, was moderately busy waited half an hour for our order to be taken then took 30 minutes to arrive then waited 40 minutes for a server which we had to go find to take our dessert menu Waited over an hour and eventually cancelled the order Absolutely disgusting service will never be back over 2 and a half hours for a main meal Shelly the person on the till was rude and very unopologetic We got our drinks free for our inconvenience woopee The other two table around us could be heard complaining amongst themselves as well PATHETIC!!!!

Return visit for a family meal.We we’re greeted in the usual friendly way.The restaurant has a spacious feel to it so felt relaxed although very busy.Plenty of variety on the menu at a reasonable price.We all had something different and non of us were disappointed.Will return again on our next visit.

We come here a lot. Never had any issues with the food or the staff, but the service is always so slow so don't expect a quick meal.

We enjoyed an evening in Newhouse Beefeater. The food was great, no complaints there. Although the place was exceptionally busy, Emma W and Connie, never lost their cool. They were very pleasant and ensured all was well during our meal (rather than after it) They are a credit to the company.

Menu not as much choice bit overpriced

Very mid I understand it's a big chain but it wasnt even busy and service was very slow and staff seemed to change instead of assigning one person per area or at least table. The food was ok but they had a few things missing like chicken wings and brought out a burger with everything on it when asked for plain which isn't a terrible thing but when little things add up it makes it a bad experience.

First time at this restaurant and enjoyed it. Staff were friendly and food was good.

It was our Wedding Anniversary so we went to The Newhouse Beefeater. The food was excellent, service first class and the drink ok. We wll be going back A.S.A.P.

Family meal and catch up with family from all over. Large party and the staff were excellent. Food really good quality and value for money.

If you want to fill yourself up for the day ahead, all you can eat for 9.99 at breakfast, you can't go wrong. Cooked and continental for 7.99 or a mix. Also, as a frequent porridge eater i was pleasantly surprised. The porridge is amazing - really nice.

Shockingly bad. Vegan burger burnt on one side so they sliced the bottom off the burger. Rest of burger slimy and wet. Coleslaw sour and uneatable. Chips are frozen and tasteless. Drink didn't resemble what I'd asked for. Couldn't eat meal and yet no one asked if everything was OK.

Had a great meal! Friendly and efficient service. Kat our waitress was so nice! Plus I had got an email with a 40%off mains voucher code from the newsletter. Family time, great food, and all of the staff are really friendly! What more could you ask for.

A had some food fae here after werruk. Bonny wee lassies behind the bar, Food was pure dead brilliant and if it's better anywhere else ah dinnae Ken. Tables were nay hoachin, probably as it wis fair dreich ootside.

All you can eat breakfast for £9.99? Kids eat free with every adult breakfast purchased? Absolutely epic! The links sausages are to die for, herby and meaty. Excellent choices in both the continental and cooked selection. Staff lovely and cheerful. Cannot complain.

Gluten free options for breakfast are great! Jen was my server and she was first class - highly knowledgeable about Gluten Free allergens which put me at ease. She went through the allergen information thoroughly and when a GF option was not there, Jen was able to source an alternative. The food was lovely and the restaurant had a great atmosphere with the customers in it. I also noticed that there were regulars who go for breakfast and the easy way they had with the staff speaks volumes to how enjoyable their breakfast experience is. I will definitely be back!

Well it was an experience and not in a good way. To start with we were told it was a 45min wait for a table. We accepted we would wait this and not look for an alternative place to eat, a decision we would soon regret. An hour and a half later we were finally called and showed to our table. Asked every other party if they had allergies and never asked ours which actually did have one present. Didn’t even apologise for giving us a HIGHLY underestimated wait time but hey could it get worse…? Once seated, next to an uncleared table (pictured), which the party who were sitting there had left and hour and a half previous, we were finally seated. Ordered drinks which took 10mins to arrive after we had to ask for them again and then took a bit to be asked what we’d like to order. While sitting there the staff were stoating about looking almost clueless majority of the time. Food once it arrives was alright but skinny chips were lukewarm. I had the steak which was a bit salty but otherwise okay. Will say this once - will not be back. Staff were a bit clueless and had no hurry about them and at one point the chef had to come out of the kitchen and deliver food to a table. Better alternatives to eat at in the area include the Commersal in Wishaw and Wetherspoons.

I go here regularly for breakfast with the school mums for a catch up. The staff are always friendly especially Jen. She greets you with a smile and some good chat. Jen is always on breakfast and looks after you great, we look forward to seeing her at every visit. Food is always nice and made the way you want. Unlimited coffee is a winner for me.

Love going here for breakfast with my toddler. There are always plenty of options for us on the buffet and a bonus that it's unlimited hot drinks! Staff are always welcoming too.

Hadn't been in one of these restaurants for a long time and probably won't ever again go near one. The place is outdated, and the tables and decor looked like they hadn't been cleaned for years. The "window" where the bar staff left drinks for the waiting staff to pick up also looked like it hadn't been cleaned for a long time. (Underneath the window looked like there was years of drink spillage soaked into the wooden decor.) All round, just an unpleasant experience. Does anyone at beefeater actually read these reviews?

My partner and I popped in for a meal. They were delicious.

I have eaten here many times. The staff are fantastic, all of them. Every one of them remembered my name and welcomed me back. Yesterday and today Lou, Debs and Alicia served me. The name of the chap on duty eludes me, but equally welcoming. For breakfast Jen was my server, as usual. Ross was also there and remembered my name. Beefeater should be very proud of the staff at Newhouse Beefeater, they're fantastic. For a long time last year....they were my second family!!!

Love coming here for breakfast. Lovely range of food, fresh fruit salad, cereals, yogurts, bread and pastries, fruit juices, tea, coffee and a fresh cooked breakfast all for £9.99. It is very relaxed and the servers are all very friendly, especially Jen, who I had a chat with as I was dining alone. Highly recommend the Newhouse for somewhere to eat but I especially like their breakfasts.

I was very impressed with our waitress, to the extent that I asked to speak to the duty manager to let her know that, Connie. Is in my view an asset to your company. She moves around quickly from table to table, always with a smile on her face, and is happy to help her customers. A very pleasant and attentive young lady that deserves some recognition for her efforts

Great service from Catriona and all the other staff, very patient as we had a delay with some of the guests. Food all around the table was delicious and good portion sizes.

Visited Newhouse with my aunt, who is disabled, for lunch and we had a lovely afternoon. The disabled spaces were only being used by badge holders which was good to see. Staff were attentive and really friendly. Our food was delicious and the steak was cooked to perfection (rare!) Haven't visited for a while and this visit made us wonder why!

went as a family with our 3 year old and have never considered a beefeater before, but today's visit showed us that the restaurant is a great family restaurant with loads to offer for all the family. Will definitely be back.

Visited only for because garden centre next door was full. Poor choice for lunch , one soup , two sandwiches. Food was ok typical chain pub food. Staff were fine , however there was work going on , we were seated right beside noisy drilling...

Top service, steaks cooked to perfection and good amount of food on the plate beside them. Waiter called John was fantastic as was bar member Susan!
