Beefeater Grill, Bamford Arms in Stockport

I stayed here for a work event last week, Gemma checked me in and she was amazing, she gave me information on the area and told me the best way to get me to my work event. She was so welcoming, all the staff was amazing, thau always have smiles on their faces. Helia served me drinks in ht restaurant she was run off her feet but so so professional. The rooms are clean and what you would expect from a premiere inn. I would definitely stay at this premier Inn again.

I am a regular visitor at the Premier Inn located at this site. Up until today I haven't really had many issues .However, this morning , breakfast was a complete shambles. Thankfully we didn't pre-pay ! Arrived (as booked at Reception on arrival) at 9.30am, was shown to a table , gave our hot food order and helped ourselves to tea and toast. Our hot food hadn't arrived by 10.20am so we left. There were other customers complaining, no side plates, no bread to toast , a shortage of fruit juices , the list could go on ! Very disappointed! Will look at "The Rectory " in Stockport the next time we stay .

We arrived at the bamford arms to meet with family for a farewell breakfast (as my daughter had been staying in the hotel for a few days before emigrating) We we’re greeted with a big smile & a warm & friendly welcome by the lovely Gemma, nothing was to much trouble Gemma, I would also like to mention that the breakfast was fantastic & I will be sure to recommend to my family & friends. Gemma is a real credit to this establishment 5* to Gemma 😊

Enticed back by the 40% off mains offer this branch was convenient and on our route home. Initial impression after logging in car registration number for parking was a tired and slightly grubby place. Gents toilet cubicle on ground floor was unusable as someone had been sick. Going upstairs to restaurant, although quiet we had to wait a few minutes whilst a table was reset. Menus were sticky and aircon was too cold but this was remedied. Advised that several starters and main course including salmon & fish/chips were not available at 8pm on a Friday. Ordered fillet steak and chips with peas instead of standard mushroom & tomato. It arrived without too long a wait and the chips were very hot. Steak was tender, juicy and flavoursome and reminiscent of previous visits to Beefeater restaurants. Opted to share a sticky toffee pudding and this was quite tasty, reasonable sized for sharing but ice cream was a bit bland/watery. Overall the food was very good. There seemed to be a lack of wait staff so they were kept busy as several tables on the go. Would expect issues if the place was busier. Value was reasonable as it still cost £21pp with the discount having had a pint of Stella to drink which was >£5. Upstairs toilets were cleaner but are quite claustrophobic with shabby paintwork indicating the place needs a makeover.

Great food and wonderful service from Jean 😊 as much Croissants, crumpets, Blueberry muffins, pancakes, toast, Cereal, fruit, Yoghurt, tea, Costa coffee, orange juice, apple juice, then a made to order full cooked breakfast with as many items as you'd like. £9.99 per adult which includes 2 free children's meals 😊

I stay at the Premier Inn next door on a regular basis for work and only eat here as the staff are welcoming and friendly and can't do enough for you. Niomi and Molly are great and very friendly. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone.
