Beefeater Grill in Woking

Lovely to be able to go back. Food was very good & we were able to take our time as we were there for a family celebration. The menu was varied & the desserts lovely. Thank you to Sue for great service, nothing was too much trouble.

Been regularly coming here for years and it just gets better and better as time has gone on. No longer waiting ages for food/drinks, staff always friendly, smiling and chatty! Couldn't ask for more!

Great service in the restaurant from Sue and Sheila in the restaurant when coming in. We were seated promptly and food arrived quickly. All the food was hot and fresh. After finishing in the restaurant we went to the bar where we were served by John who we had a great laugh with to finish our night off. Even though we couldn't understand a word he said in his Scottish accent 😂. But overall 10/10

Wow i am glad they are back open now in the mornings and evening. They do an amazing breakfast as it cooked to order . And the staff are amazing and always helpful

Been a regular here for years but has been gradually going downhill. Staff continue to be lovely but, decor and furniture tatty. Chairs in bar are patched with duck tape. The food was dreadful. It was cold and inedible. Many things on the menu were not available and particularly no Sunday roast!

APPALLING AND DIRE LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE Booked online evening before, arrived to find building closed. Called central office who said manager would call me. 24 hrs later called central office again and finally spoke to manager, who said she hadn't been passed the message and building closed FOR A WEEK although website still taking bookings. Said she would call me back, she did not. Wrote feedback of this on Bridge Barn website, received email ticket number that I would be contacted soon. NO RESPONSE. Tried to book again for midweek lunch only to use previously downloaded Reward vouchers. Closed midweek, only open weekends. Wrote another feedback of this on Bridge Barn website regarding no response to date, and requesting reinstatement of Reward voucher, received another ticket number that I would be contacted soon. NO RESPONSE My conclusion can only be that, THERE IS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE because, in my opinion, not factually based, they will be closing down permanently soon, and keeping regular customers happy is of no interest. They will take their money for Christmas bookings in their shabby rundown premises, which is a poor representation of hospitality, and then they will be gone. It makes sense that Whitbread have not maintained and updated the premises if it is to be closed. Ceilings do not fall down of their own accord unless there have been no recent inspections and no recent maintenance. My experience is consistent with other poor reviews of Bridge Barn. In October we visited another Beefeater and the vibe, customer service and food in that restaurant was so different, and such a positive experience. I'm lucky, I only lost my vouchers value, but fortunately I'm not eating there on Christmas Day, and NEVER AGAIN anyway. Good luck to any customers expecting good Christmas Day food and service, as I doubt you will get it.

Awful. Arrived to meet my family 15 minutes later than the booking due to terrible roadworks traffic with my 2 year old in tow, to be asked immediately what I wanted to order. After asking for a couple of minutes we were told that this wait would put us behind another table (should this even matter and should we have even been told this?). Starters came fine, then waited an hour for our mains. It would have been less painful if the food was actually incredible but it’s bog-standard, basic, dry, loaded with salt and I could make better at home. After a trip to the loo I realised there were literally 2 other tables covered so god only knows why there was such a delay. Definitely won’t be coming back. Save yourself the pain and spend your hard-earned money somewhere else. We had a good view of the kitchen to see staff on their phones while we were waiting too.

Unfortunately this branch has got worse as time has gone by. The quality of the food is terrible and is not the same standard as other local beefeaters

This pub really does need to be refurbished. We were staying at the Premier Inn next door for four nights & there were three occasions where our menu choices weren't available. However - the staff were amazing! I was with my 90 year old mother and they really looked after us each morning and night. They were very friendly, service was always with a smile and nothing was too much trouble for them. Breakfast & dinner was always fresh and red hot. A big thank you to John, Ian & Sheila!

Arrived at 4 pm, shown to our table, the floor under the table was covered in loads of food. No Sunday roasts, no fish and chips, many other items not available. Toilets upstairs out of order. Toilets downstairs, disgusting, smell on approaching was all I can describe as as if someone urinated in the corner and it has never been cleaned up, I find it hard to believe that anyone working there does not smell that as it permeates to the bar area. Middle toilet has faeces all around the top on the toilet, although the person who made this mess should have cleaned it up, there is no excuse for the toilets not being checked. Floors need a good vacuum and mop in all areas. Staff appeared to be sitting around at a table eating and drinking and talking, whilst the lady upstairs was run off her feet and was very attentive . Food was ok, unfortunately we will not be returning until there has been some improvements made, which is a shame as we have been there a few times. Place has really gone down.
