Excellent service, good quality food at a decent price, A special thank you too the waitress who had worked there 29 years. Above & beyond an asset to the company Thank you.

We used to go here at least once a week, it was our go-to reliable diner. Havent been for a while, but will not be returning, The starter was freezing (breaded mushrooms), looked awful on plate , no garnish, when they came back they had just been re dunked for another 30 secs, Awful, was going to abort at this point, as we had , had a busy week and needed a good night . The 2nd (main) course was cremated ( signature steak). we both had this, it was awful with NO onion rings, ( but not informed), so did complain, and the Team leader waived the bill and we departed, 40 mins after arrival, used to love❤️ it here, but it's doomed. We are not serial moaners.

Lovely breakfast,superb value for money,freshly cooked hot food ,large choice of cereals, pastries, hot and cold drinks.A warm welcome upon arrival as always,Paula couldn't have been more helpful,nothing was too much,we asked for poached eggs for our son,arrived perfectly cooked within minutes very attentive and friendly ,a great way to start the day,faultless .

A Cost of Living crisis dinner : it seems that they’ve increased the prices and reduced the quality and quantity of the food. We, a group of friends celebrating a 60th birthday, I ordered from the 2 item set Festive menu: I ordered the Turkey roast dinner followed by the Christmas Pudding with Brandy sauce. My turkey dinner was very disappointing: the roast potatoes were squishy and soaked with fat, the turkey slices looked and tasted like shoe leather, the sprouts were over cooked and tasteless, there were only 6 bits of carrot, the stuffing was dried up, I thought it must have been left under a heat source for hours and then had gravy poured over it. Next I wanted to order desert: eventually after 20 minutes our server begrudgingly came and took our order, after another 20 minutes my eagerly awaited Christmas pudding came, I was shocked! Was this minuscule pud really a Christmas pudding? It was the size of a mince pie, accompanied by a miniature jug of “brandy cream”! I refused to accept it because the portion was so small: I asked if I could have apple pie and custard, fair enough she said ok. After only another 10 minutes it arrived, a good size for a desert and quite nice. I enjoyed being with my friends which was the most important thing but at £19.95 for 2 courses I thought dinner was a rip off. I didn’t tip.

The meal was good and the service by Ann and her colleagues was very good but the preparation of the meal was so slow that part way through the desert the duty manager told us we had to leave in 10 minutes. We had to rush the pudding and skip coffee because of poor planning and slow delivery of the food. Had to call at Costa for coffee on the way home.

Our table was situated by what must have been the main till for ordering food so we could hear non stop moaning from certain members of staff throughout our meal. There was a tall thin man( maybe manager) he seemed to do most of it and the we heard him drop the F bomb. Our food was nice and the service was good but maybe just be aware that the guests can hear what’s being said.

Decided to pop in for a quick bite to eat with my 2 girls,I really wish I hadn’t of bothered,ok the restaurant was moderately busy but after waiting almost 45 minutes for our starters to then be told the order had only been logged 20 minutes ago really wound me up,we eventually received them almost an hour after we ordered,we then waited another 50 minutes for our main and when I queried our deserts after being sat down for over 2 hours,I was informed it was my job to let the staff know when I was ready for them???? Average food at a rather expensive price range with service that was absolutely woeful make this a place I would definitely not recommend

Our server tonight was the amazing Ann Coleman. This lady never stops and her service is outstanding. Just to take the family's order takes a lot of patience, as everyone is so fussy and Ann masters this perfectly. Although there was a delay to us getting our meals, Ann had already forewarned us of a staff shortage so the wait was expected and unforeseeable. The food was great, Ann recommended the fish to me and it didnt disappoint, perfectly cooked and plenty of actual fish. Everyone else enjoyed their meals too with no complaints. All in all a very enjoyable experience, made more so by Ann. Thank you.

Dispite a very busy evening at the venue the service was excellent. Top marks to Dillon who I presume was the restaurant manager, who did his utmost to sort everything. Also to the 77 year old waitress !!. Food very good considering how busy it was.

We have been happily eating in your restaurant as a family and having a few drinks in your bar for over 15 years since moving into the area. However, through our last two visits to the restaurant and my popping in for a pint occasionally we’ve seen an incredible downturn on quality of service. Nothing to do with the fine folks working there as they’re all lovely and doing what they can… However, food that takes about an hour to arrive, missing starters, half the menu not available, waiting at the bar for someone to actually serve and loads of empty glasses lined up across the bar is just making the customer experience poor. It’s a shame as the food is still pretty good and - as mentioned - the staff are truly superb but compared to what it was a few years ago the whole experience is not good. Hope someone ‘up top’ listens as this place has the potential to be excellent but is really being let down at the moment

Me and my husband booked about an hour before the time we wanted (5.45). We had a lovely time, the atmosphere was great, the food was unbelievable and the drinks were delicious! Not a big waiting time, apparently the chef had been working by himself all day, wouldn’t have known, food was gorgeous! Compliments to him! Paul I think his name was! And our waitress Ann Coleman, she was brilliant, you don’t get service like that anymore, such a warm caring host who constantly checked in so see how we were and to reassure us that drinks or food were on their way! Made us feel so welcomed! Thanks Ann! Will be coming again soon with our 2 daughter for a family meal!

Always ate here not fussed on the buffet breakfast which usually on when kids off school so we go when kids in school. Its changed now buffet style with cold eggs and not the best taste on food. We never seen the lady that's usually there she was so full of life and always welcome us with a friendly bubbly manner. I went the bathroom and used to be a guy who cleaned he had the place spotless instead smelt like a damp mop smell on floors and toilets. Never seen this place like this don't think be back unless changes

Menu a bit restricted and expensive for what you got. One of the desserts on menu was not available even at lunchtime and one of our party almost choked on a stalk in her apple dessert.
