Amazing pub, went with some friends who live local and ended up staying till late evening. We even had food which we didn’t expect to be doing. Food was fantastic and so were the staff! Big shout out to Bryoni and Kieron they were fantastic.

Met friends for drink and food. Food was nice service was good. Lounge was fairly quite which for a Saturday is odd. After taking to a few people in there it's apparent that it's the over large screen and TV with the sound blasting from lots of speakers you could not hear yourself speak that now puts many off from this pub. You have a bar please respect others who do not want this constant noise keep it in the bar. We had a groups of guys who constantly shouted when a goal was nearly scored. We ate and left. Please don't turn this pub with 2 bars keep them separate think of all customers. Scored 3 because you spoilt our experience

Went to the Beckfields with family had fish and chips was horrible paid for upgrade to cod and was watery and tasteless in my opinion cheap fish, chips no better only good part was the lady who served us was pleasant. Won't return all from the freezer

We come here every week for a meal, wine & a good chat. Food is pub food but the plank is very good value for money - Under £11 for a choice of 5 dishes to share. House wine is OK but worth paying an extra 50p for a better bottle (Hardys). Staff are really lovely but always seems to be overworked - not enough in the lounge area! It is what people call "cheap & cheerful" & decent wine is £8.45 a bottle so what is not to like!!

Had a meal here the staff were friendly but been called "guys " gets a bit grating, I had the crispy chicken which is like a posh parmo ide defiantly have it again. They had a good selection of beers the menu was a reasonable price and ide certainly visit again.

Absolutely disgraceful service from barstaff. Head barmaid rude, miserable, aggressive face like thunder. Every time puts you off going again. We had recently visited some friends in Ingleby Barwick and decided to go to the local pub. We looked at the menu and decided to stay for our dinner. There was a great selection of Cask Ales for our husbands, and a great selection of gin (we did try a few of them). Our food was very reasonably priced, looked very appetising when it arrived,and tasted every bit as good as it looked.

Entertainment and atmosphere on New Year's Eve in the lounge were fab. No real ale on draught, though! This is very disappointing, especially as there are normally three different pumps on and the Beckfields is advertised as a real ale pub.

Good pub grub with average priced meals. We particularly love the all day breakfasts and the sharing platters on Saturday All while watching the footy! What more can you want on the doorstep

The food here has improved over recent months and has an extensive menu for both children and adults. Great value decent pub grub. If you haven't been for a while get yourself down there.

Nothing exciting to write home about, burger grissly and greasey, chips cooked put very pale. Husband had fish and chips, fish was large but soggy and did not look very appetizing. Will not be eating there again.

Es un pub decente (mejor que algunos) con una razonable selección de cervezas, aunque quizás no tan grande como algunos lugares normalmente iría a pero luego voy a estos para la selección de cervezas. El servicio fue bueno, aunque tuvimos un problema con un grupo de jóvenes muchachos y el juramento personal no parecía ser molestado. Tuvimos una charla con ellos y no asentarse un poco.

I have lived on Ingleby for more than 20 years and this is by far the best pub. Staff are friendly, food is tasty and good value, Always something going on and sport to watch

Not been here since 2015 I must say what a nice suprised the pub looks clean and we'll presented the staff are lovely the meals we all enjoyed and reasonable prices will definately pay another visit well done :)

Llamado para té, pub estaba bastante vacío, y ahora sé por qué. Pedimos una Mega parrillada mixta y un Mega bacalao y patatas fritas. Pedido no había sangre en carnes, pero aún así era rosa cuando cortan y los huevos fritos tenía yemas de roca sólida preparada. El Mega Cod era más mediocre y no olía demasiado bien - pescado era bastante gris y el bateador era muy grasienta. Patatas fritas en tanto no estaban bien preparado lo difícil que puede ser un chip congelados fritos? Es una pena, porque cuando llamamos aquí a principios de año, en realidad fue una experiencia muy agradable y tuvimos una agradable comida de pub grub"". No se apresuraban a volver por comida. En el lado positivo, la zona de bar y pub estaba muy limpio y ordenado, y la camarera fue muy amable y educado. No ver un chef diferente - no estoy seguro de si ese era el problema o no?

Visitamos el pub porque mi amigo tenía sólo cambiaron a Ingleby Barwick y era su nuevo local, así que pedimos una botella de vino rosado (8 libras. 95! ! Qué ganga) y luego pedimos comida, en su mayoría sólo comidas comida de pub. . . 1 x 1 y xcurry hamburguesa vegetal, aunque mi amigo pollo y bacon pedir una ensalada y parecía fresco y vibrante.

it's a while since we were here for a meal, so disappointed last time, but things are getting better......the new menu and the different offers are great, still pub grub,well cooked and this time served with a smile...this time all the staff were in a smart uniform, not t-shirt and jeans, on our visit the place was busy and the lay-out has changed, they have got rid of the large central table and made it more roomy and user friendly.Clean and tidy pub ...toilets need a bit of attention but all in all will return in the future

Came on wednesday as my niece was proforming in the open mic night. Gorgeous pub with a lovely atmosphere and very helpful and friendly staff. Hadn't eaten so decided to order a meal. Extremely cheap and cheerful. Regular pub grub at a fantastic price. Will def come again x

The staff are friendly and helpful, the pub always has a good atmosphere. The drinks and food are cheap & value for money with lots of great deals. New management is wonderful. There is always something fun going on whether it be charity days, bank holiday fun weekend, live bands or the pub quiz. Highly recommend.

Used to be a nice place to visit but after recent management changes the atmosphere is now awful. Staff look disheartened when walking around. Gloomy and moody is probably a better way of describing it...My beer was flat and the glass it arrived in wasnt clean either.Decided to leave (without finishing my pint) and go elsewhere...really disapointed ! Such a shame when you see somewhere drop so low so fast.

This place is not going to win any awards but it ticks certain boxes. Decent pint at good price, good atmosphere so great to meet up with friend. Great for chips n bar food if you're feeling peckish but settled

Pop in if you want REAL DEALS like two mains only £6.95. pie and a pint for £5.95 and many other great offers . Don't expect Michelin pub food but it is all very tasty and well presented. The staff are cheery and the atmosphere is really good.

You get for what you pay, don't have high expectation it's not a gastro pub, standard meals, however has good deals. Environment very dark, being a pub can get busy with drinkers.

We all had a fairly good meal, kids portions for £1.50 is good, the chicken however was way over cooked and the coating was overcooked. I ordered 2 small blackcurrant and water for 2 small children. When i paid the bill they charged me 40p x 4. I questioned that i only had two drinks, but they said that they put in 2 shots? seems odd why did they not put 80p x 2. They said that's the way they do it. Surely the audit would imply that 4 drinks were sold and not 2. The pub should ask how many shots especially when its children as this would of been too strong and we have paid the price for it. This is a cute way of the pub selling more and I think thats poor service. I was told if i asked for 1 shot they would of given me that, but how on earth would i know how many they are going to put in. If the Backfields read this please ask customers how many they want as good customer service.

Had lunch there on a Saturday afternoon. Food was good value and service was quick. Plenty of live sport and a decent selection of drinks on offer. Great pub.

early afternoon meal for five friends , pub nearly empty had to wait to be served( always the same here) three staff joking with the maintenance man ...had to make ourselves noticed. anyway ordered five meals with our drinks only four meals turned up, minus cutlery...why???? enquired about missing meal and the answer was " er.did you order one" after several trips between kitchen and till the girl said it won't be long..no apology or reason.. my friends had finished their meal so they sat and watched me eat mine...really not acceptable..they ordered another drink while i finished my meal ..all the meals were really good,good value and well cooked..we later found out that the maintenance man was the assistant manager but for his attire we didn''t realize this other wise we would have complained to him...wont hurry back some retraining needed here

We visit every week, early evening for a meal and bottle of wine. Food is typical chain but reasonably priced and wine is very good value at £7.99 for a decent bottle of Hardy's red. There is some entertainment some evenings & we're looking forward to the new menu at the end of September

Went for lunch with friends were the only ones in the place yet the barmaid still took ages to serve us and we had to move our dirty plates onto a different table after waiting 15 mins for them to be cleared. Food was ok n reasonably priced but wouldn't return in a hurry.
