We could not rate this idyllic tea room enough. Perfect location, fast and friendly service and amazing food, nothing was too much trouble, very happy attentive staff, we will certainly be back again soon. Delicious food and very reasonable prices. We also visited the shop attached which had a great variety of goods too 👍

We had a pot of tea and a piece of carrot cake beside the beck. A covered area with a few tables is available if you don't want to sit inside.

Called for tea and buns on a sunny but cold Sunday afternoon. It was sunny outside but cold inside the cafe reception wise. The owner (I'm assuming) carried on his conversation with two other customers and left his sitting there with no acknowledgement of out presecence. Eventually, the pleasant young lad came out to serve us. The tea was fine, scone okay, coffee rank. When my partner went to pay, once again she was ignored until the young lad had finished what he was doing. The owner just stood and looked at her. No thanks for your custom, bye now, nothing. I feel sorry for the lad working in that atmosphere. The Shepherds Hall, just down the lane, is much better.

Nestling by the side of the beck we chose this as our venue for lunch. Friendly staff greeted us and took our order. I chose a ham sandwich and my wife chose an egg mayonnaise sandwich and we both chose a pot of tea. A freshly brewed pot arrived with beautiful china cups and soon our sandwiches arrived each with a large salad garnish and potato crisps. There was a wonderful display of home made cakes and tray bakes but we declined and felt very righteous.

We picked a beautiful summer day so were able to sit outside on the small deck overlooking the beck and flowers. The owner has made this tiny tea house into a charming restful place for refreshment after a day touring Yorkshire. The tea and scones were served in beautiful matching china ware and the scones were the best! The village shop next door is definitely worth the visit too. It's like you stepped back in time 50 years.

Well we were looking for somewhere to stop while out on Thursday(2nd Feb),and to say the least few places were open at all. However we came along to the Beck View Tea Rooms, and they had a sign announcing they were opened. On a windy drizzly day, unsurprisingly we were the only customers about 11. I had chocolate with cream and my friend had tea.Im sure the outdoor seating area is very good in the better weather. The lady serving us was very pleasant and seemed very optimistic as she was making some soup. I genuinely hope she got people in to eat it. Our drinks were delivered quite quickly and tasted lovely and were very reasonably priced. Certainly one to recommend if you are in the Lealholm area. But if you are thinking of walking from Danby where the signpost says 3 miles,we measured it and its almost 5 miles!!

A friend of mine told me about this wonderful place. The village, Lealholm, is a "time stands still" hard to put into words delight. The Beck View Tea Room is nestled in a beautiful spot and offers a lovely tea room menu.We had a toastie and scones with clotted cream and jam.The tea room is small and cosy making you feel as though you had popped in to a friends for a cup of tea.The staff quietly set about delivering high quality refreshments and allowed you to soak up the wonderful surroundings.Other treasures in Lealholm are the Poets Corner Shrub Nursery and the enchanting stepping stones across the stream.Enjoy!

My wife and I enjoyed lunch here on a recent trip to England and Scotland. Nice setting; you can eat at one of the tiny outdoor tables overlooking a stream and garden if you wish; good sandwiches and salad. This is a village where there is no need to rush, so allow a little time and enjoy your lunch. Recommend highly.

Visited on a day when they were short-staffed with only one person trying to take orders, make the drinks, serve food and take payments. No fault of the person left running the tearoom as she was trying her best. I understand the other member of staff had been called away as a result of a family emergency. Unfortunately this coincided with a day when another tea shop in the village was closed. As a result service was slow and a number of people came in and went away without their order being taken. That said the toastie and side salad I had was fine and the almond slices looked very tempting.

We were a party of five on the afternoon about 1550 on last Sunday. Although the palce was busy we were given a very warm welcome and show to our table. The staff were very friendly and our order was taken. The other came quickly and the tea coffee and cake all were beautiful. We use the tea rooms when we are in the village. It is not the only one in the village but I think it is the best.

Put YO21 2AQ into the sat nav and find Lealholm, home to Beck View Tea Rooms. Leahole is quintessential village in the north Yorkshire moors quietly resting in the pretty Esk valley and is one of my favourite stopping places. It is one of those rare places where life seems to have stood still drifting to a bygone era. Take a short walk through the village, over the Esk River by the famous old steppingstones. You might want to stop in the village shop or the small garden centre full of beautiful healthy plants. There are a couple of places to find good refreshment, a pub overlooking the green and river, and two tearooms. My personal favourite is the Beck view. Small and charming with seats outside overlooking the beck for sunny days. The food is homemade, served with a welcoming smile. The best scones in the moors.

What a find! This has been the loveliest meal we have had this year. The food is beautiful, my husband had haddock and loved it. I had rib of beef and it was just delightful some of the best food I have had. The landlord was super lovely and nothing was too much trouble. The staff were lovely and attentive but not over bearing. The menu gives lots of choice and there is a brilliant gin menu. They are dog friendly too so we all had a wonderful time- thank you. We have booked up for Sunday lunch when we are next on holiday over here. I couldn’t recommend this place enough
