We arrived to eat only just before the restaurant shut but the manager kindly allowed ushered us in and made us feel welcome. We really enjoyed the buffet food on offer, which was hot and tasty, and we both loved the bolognese which had tender chunks of meat. The pudding options were impressive too, with a variety of tasty dishes on offer and an ice cream machine. All in all, we were pleasantly surprised and enjoyed our meal.

Quite simply one of the worst restaurants I’ve ever frequented. Having ‘lost’ our booking for the grill we were ‘sent down’ to the Beaumont to be met by the depressed looks of the other guests upon entry. We started with the appalling kids buffet which consisted of hard, crusty fish fingers and chicken nuggets that resembled paving slabs. Luckily the desert was a Covid infused chocolate fountain full of kids sticking their fingers into the chocolate. Delicious. Our adult dining experience was just as bad. We were forced to order and pay on the ‘app’ as apparently that’s important now to keep Covid at bay, and we ordered chilli and scampi. My wife took one spoon of the chilli, which resembled dirty dish water, and left it. My scampi included glorious quadruple fried chips that I could have played Jenga with rather than the wood version I have at home. On top of that we waited 20 mins for drinks. Nobody asked if there was a reason that we returned full plates of food. I’ve had better meals at a Granada service station and for way less than the £85 we were charged. Depressing and sad, British cuisine at its very worst.

During our stay we had breakfast every morning. Although quite full at times the quality of the food was very good and plentiful. Bringing back quality Jams /conserves in individual jars was a nice touch. Service was great considering how busy it got. As with the rest of the hotel there has been a refurb so the whole experience was better than in previous years. If you want a hearty English breakfast ...very recommendable.

Not good tonight as a group of 400 took over the buffet restaurant so got shunted to 1705 restaurant. Over 3 years staying here but I guess 1 regular customer staying for over 600 nights and booked for the rest of the year is a lower priority than the large group. Not good also when you have to be on a healthy diet and 1705 have limited healthy choices.

The menu is quite limited so not spoiled for choice - ordered broad bean hummus followed by bubble and squeak risotto. My starter was more like mushy peas sprinkled with pomegrante seeds than a cream hummus - not entirely unpleasant but served with a stone cold piece of flabby pitta bread which most certainly was. The risotto was the most bizarre rice dish I have ever eated - I have absolutely no idea of the ingredients. Presumably cabbage? Definitely not fried bubble and squeak. It tasted as if some creamy sauce had been added but there was little flavour and virtually no seasoning. Not recommended.

This is an overpriced buffet at £20/head. Sadly we had prepaid so had no option to cancel. Food and layout is reminiscent of a hospital/school canteen. Being vegetarian we were even more limited. The only thing we could eat were the potato wedges and pumpkin ravioli. Dessert was slightly better with an ok range of tarts, cakes and fresh fruit. The staff were reasonably attentive. The restaurant has the feel of an airport waiting lounge complete with Formica furniture and 1980s carpet. There is a full buffet self service counter in the middle which wouldn't look out of place in a 1970s Spanish hotel, or you can order from the A la carte menu (Really? A la carte?!). Each and every table comes with a crying/shouting/screaming child within earshot but, unfortunately, you can not pre order which one you are saddled with! Luckily for me, I wasn't too hungry so just had a snack: A steak sandwich which had been skilfully prepared, burnt and wrapped in paper off site, by the famous brothers Brake & lovingly reheated in the microwave & served with some room temperature frozen chips. My lucky partner had an authentic, stone baked, Italian, pizza prepared by Chef Dr Oetker. We washed this down with the house red. My complements to the sommelier, I would never have picked this wine to drink and at just 23 quid for a whole bottle we bought 2 more to see how well they age!Breakfast too is accompanied by brats but this time, the food is edible (although, I would recommend the fried eggs over the scrambled). They even have one of those conveyor belts where you put a slice of bread in one end and, just 5 minutes later, slightly browner bread comes out the other end! The soft bread/toast is perfect as a base for the hard lump of scrambled egg. Make sure you book in advance.

The coleslaw was dry, the fries not done through and my colleagues salad was probably one of the saddest dish I have ever seen. I must say the food in the restaurant is good, but the staff although very polite and friendly are so disorganized it's laughable. I have never seen a restaurant with so much waiting staff for so few diners (and I often eat in restaurants with 3 Michelin stars with a lot of staff). Apart from the number of staff the main problem was that most of them were walking about not knowing what they were supposed to be doing. We did eat once in the Tempus Bar and the waiter was very good but he was the only one actually doing any work. A good Maitre d' would be an exceptional asset to this restaurant, but a Maitre d' who worked all sittings. On Monday evening there was a restaurant manager who was nice and helpful but instead of delegating he was doing most of the table clearing. I have worked in the hotel business and do actually know what I'm talking about.

Stayed at the hotel in a gorgeous suite in The White House and decided to eat in the restaurant as it looked lovely on the website. It isn't! The pictures are very misleading. It is a mixed restaurant of self service buffet or a la carte. Four of us were seated for a meal with 2 choosing the buffet that wasn't bad but wasn't great - think all inclusive at a 3* hotel in Benidorm with kids everywhere (including their hands) and lots of noise. Troughs of food in the middle of the room, no plates for around 10 minutes, no spoons for soup and desserts running out all the time. However, the buffet food was far more edible than the a la carte! I chose chicken, my friend chose pork and both took half an hour to arrive. The chicken was piping hot but had obviously been left under the hot lights for ages as it had a thick rubber skin and the pork was so hard my friend couldn't even cut it. Staff came to resolve the issue and to quote the manager 'I'm sorry the catch of the day isn't to your satisfaction' - even he couldn't tell it was pork!!! When we explained what it was he apologised and explained he was really embarrassed and would resolve the matter immediately. It was returned and my friend was offered a plate of food from the buffet - there was no pork or sausages or turkey left. She went hungry, not a great anniversary present and my husband and I were mortified. It is such a shame the hotel doesn't have a high end restaurant to satisfy patrons who would rather pay for a decent meal having paid for a decent room. My suggestion, eat elsewhere!

We went here to use my gourmet discount card before it expired and decided to go here. We were greeted by a friendly waiter who took us to our table by the window . W eh ad the option of a la carte and the buffet which was £20 . My boyfriend who is a dustbin opted for the buffet whilst the rest of us opted for the a la carte. My dad's soup was lovely but very filling-cream of mushroom. My potted pea and mint panna cotta was delicious, they really do put a lot of thought tin their presentation regardless of which course it is. Same with the buffet especially the desserts and cheeses. Our mains were also good, my mum enjoyed the duo chicken, my duck egg frittata was good but felt bloated afterwards, my dad enjoyed his steak and my boyfriend enjoyed a few visits to the buffets clearing his plate. the only downside was after our starter we were pestered by a wasp , and since my boyfriend was allergic we had no choice but to move, the staff were very understanding but perhaps in hindsight the windows/doors could be closed. we moved closer to the buffet and continued with the rest of our meal. Elected to eat here rather than the many external and good pubs around this area, an excellent a la carte menu except for one item. It displays a choice of a centre cut sirloin steak, which will be served pink! Whereas the casterbridge, a dearer equivalent, I can have any way I like, why? If I want the centre cut well done, why can I not have it well done, it is resemblant of HMG's nanny state telling me what I should eat and how I should eat it; no, thanks (and this is why it only gets an average rating). We chose instead the buffet selection, a self service selection. The food was very good with a fair amount of choice, excellent service from the surrounding staff. One or two of the dishes were cold and had to inform staff that the heating units were off or packed in.Go back - Yes, but do not tell me how I should have cooked what I wanted to order.

We explain to the waitress who was very nice but clearly very busy that it was inedible and we instead ordered from the menu. I had the burger - it was ok at best. The chips were partly cooked and some were very undercooked. The coleslaw was soggy and looked quite frankly gone off. My girlfriends tofu and noodles was terrible. It was swimming in some kind of broth (not how it was meant to be according to the menu). The noodles were soggy, it tasted of nothing and the baby sweetcorn were still raw. She had about a third. We didn't have the heart to tell the very busy waitress that it was below standard. I got the bill and paid as by this time we were fed up and her son needed to go to bed. I paid £42 which honestly was a joke, I looked at the bill and my bottle of sparkling water was £5! Her glass of wine was £9, we should have looked at the wine price but seriously you can buy a very good bottle for that price! My water wasn't listed anywhere but I didn't think it would be that extortionate. The the staff were nice but considering how many there seemed to be, they seemed to be busy elsewhere and it was hard to get their attention. Seriously disappointed and not what I would expect from a restaraunt in a 4 star hotel. This restaraunt needs a LOT of work.

We stayed at the hotel during our Lego Land visit and for eas we decided to eat in the hotel restaurant. We were not sure what to expect as we had not read any reviews or even looked at the online details. As our children were under 5 they ate for free and the buffet price was reasonable for us adults. As we were so hungry we knew we would be haviung at least two plates of food! The selection was not huge however the quality was good. The service was friendly and good and we felt comfortable. Our children are always very well behaved however the staff were used to having children stay here and there were lots of other families eating and enjoying the evening. The buffet cake selection was good too, just small cakes to clear the pallete! We had breakfast the following day and it was a bit of a scrum for the food. The toast line was a little long and the eggs were going fast however overall it was a yummy breakfast and just what we needed to fuel our second busy day at Lego Land. The staff were helpful and always on hand however when I asked for a tea spoon I was told there weren't any. I didn't dare want to to explain to the young waitress what a tea spoon was.

We chose the buffet option as with our Legoland package kids are free! Lots of choice of food and the desserts were lovely! Very relaxed as there are children. Staff were very helpful and replenished the food frequently.

We ate here 3 mornings for breakfast. It's busy but because the restaurant is so big it's not crowded. Food is fantastic with a great variety. We also ate here 1 evening and opted for the buffet. Again lots of choice. Excellent.

We ate here after a long (enjoyable) day at Legoland. We were hungry and looking for good wholesome food after the poor food on offer during the day. We opted for the buffet which we felt was pricy but the kids ate free. While it wasn't the worst in the world it was not great either. There was plenty to choose from but nothing was delicious.

Very expensive place to eat, stop at the Harvester just down the road, it will be a third of the cost and the same quality and may even be hot.

This is a good restaurant. We were in the Beaumont Estate for three days, and ate here on our first night. The food was good. The service was also good. It was a little pricey, but that would be my only negative comment. We also had breakfast here three times, and the quality of experience does change with the volume of munchers. The more, the less merriment.

This is coming on the basis of six years history of staying at that hotel and eating in the restaurant.

My business trips and accommodation are booked by my employers and as such, must generally accept what I get. But having stayed in several business style hotels around Windsor, the Beaumont Estate restaurant serves by far the least appetising food of all. The restaurant is in a dark basement devoid of natural light and views. What is the point of advertising 40 acres of land, in which the premises are set, when you can't see it? If the location of the restaurant doesn't want to make you leave in a hurry, the food will. I can only hope my future stays are few and far between.

Had breakfast and lunch here and found the options to be plentiful and of a good variety. The food was all fresh and of a good standard, I didn't hear any negativity in regards to the food. The restaurant itself is a good size and doesn't feel cramped even when there is a good number of people in there. The staff are very attentive and quick to assist if anything is required all with a smile as well.

I only ordered a burger and salad. It took 45 minutes, and only arrived after a reminder. Everything was shoddy, dry, badly cooked, but there's nowhere else to eat, so you're stuck, eat this or go hungry. Staff tried very hard, but it wasn't a good experience.

Bloody lovely. We had wings to start. Two had burgers. One had ribs and I had a steak. Two portions of brownie. They made custards which isn't on the menu. I had a cheesecake. Also made us Cocktails that weren't on the menu. Served by Sam and Bella. Sam was chatty but not intrusive. Both fitted in with our sense of humour. Both affable and welcoming. We will visit again. Thank you

Lovely, interesting food served in a relaxed and stylish setting. Crispy and tasty tempura prawns and a delicious special of hake with baby leeks and black beans made for a very satisfying Sunday lunch. The roasts were excellent too. It’s very dog friendly and the service is spot on.

I visted Nandos, Windsor for the very first time on Friday 12/4/24, with my family (x8 of us). I was most impressed with the venue and the attentiveness of the staff in general. We were greeted with a welcoming smile and politeness from Ahsan upon entering and shown to our table after he ensured it was clean and given our menus. Our order was taken by an absolutely welcoming and most professional young lady, named Tasha (Natasha?). She ensured our order and a gluten order was done as requested. She checked in with us to ensure everything was ok and that the food and service was to our satisfaction. She answered any concerns we had regarding the cooking of the gluten food ordered; which was very reassuring. When the food came Flemming ensured the chicken was grilled to perfection and another young man (dark haired, charming) ensured we had our cutlery and enough tissues which was great to have because of my little grandchildren. Upon finishing our delicious meal, the lovely Ruzalia in passing wasted no time in ensuring our table was cleared which was great because it stopped my grandchildren from dipping fingers back into the plates or playing with the cutlery. A great experience was had by all. We enjoyed the meal, the service and the ambience of the venue. Thanks to Tasha for being a great host, alongside her team 🙂 which helps greatly when entering a restaurant for the first time. When next in Windsor, I WOULD definitely visit again. 🙂
