A very pleasant overnight stay for 2 couples at the Inn. Excellent dinner and breakfast. Bar is very handy. Good parking is just behind the hotel so no need for us to experience another run-in with the big commercial car park close by! Good central location in this very interesting and attractive town.

We stayed at the Beaumond Cross Inn for two nights over the last weekend. The room was spacious, extremely comfortable and exceptionally clean. We also ate in the restaurant on the Saturday night. The food was lovely - home cooked, tasty and plentiful. Service was efficient and friendly. We would certainly return and highly recommend the pub.

We’ve had breakfast here before, this was our first time staying in the hotel. Yes it’s a little bit more expensive than the Travelodge, but this place has character. The whole experience was perfect, Carol is a great host with a lovely sense of humour. We stayed in room no.8 that was a nice size, and impeccably clean. We will definitely be returning.

What a little gem of a place , I really didn’t expect the food to taste this good. I had the festive pie which was turkey , stuffing, Brie and cranberry, this came with perfectly cooked roast veg and an array of mixed greens, we also had mash and chips. Everything was homemade, and you could tell, it tasted great especially the thick onion gravy and the portions were very generous. A very hearty filling meal It’s rare to find food that’s homemade and tastes this good and doesn’t cost the earth. I would definitely recommend trying this place.

I cannot recommend this place to anyone because it is overpriced to the point of rip off! The pie dishes are £19.99 each for a pie barely the size of a mince pie. A bottle of wine that was said to be worth £60 and charged out at £30 can easily be sourced on the internet for £5.99. The place and service is hardly cordon blue standard and therefore cannot be recommended

A quiet Monday in Newark, with not many places open, or serving food, so decided to try this place based on Trip Adviser reviews, and was not disappointed. A group of six of us visited here for Sunday lunch. My friends had been before, but this was the first visit for my husband and I. We are vegans and there was an excellent selection of pies available. The accompanying roast veg and greens were excellent. What made it really special were the different sauces for each of our options. The atmosphere was great, and I appreciated the very pleasant loos. I will be returning soon.

Ate here with friends and had a wonderful evening,we all had one of the many homemade pie's on offer all came with it's own flavour gravy depending on the type of pie, I had the lamb which was amazing as were the rest chosen by our group. The pie's are priced at nearly twenty pounds but come with huge portions of chips and or vegetables. Overall it was a lovely meal and great evening and were looked by the hosts.

The worst Sunday lunch I have ever experienced ….£22 for a ‘lamb ‘ dinner ,only to be bought out a lamb shank …seriously how can a description be so wrong ,it’s the equivalent of asking for a pork dinner and being bought out gammon …the roast potatoes were probably lovely when they were cooked yesterday ,the vegetables had celery in (seriously ,where the hell is this a thing ),the roasted vegetables were over cooked as well as covered in places with what we thought was beetroot …al le carte prices and worse than any weatherspoons The ‘minted gravy’ had a white deposit on that I have no idea even if it was supposed to be there The whole pub smelt fusty which I would imagine was from all of the books ….overall ,I wished I went to maccys What really gets me is the positive reviews of this dump which I can only put down to the strength of the local alcohol ….I really wish I was drunk before I went there

Just a nice 10-15min walk from main sights and asda across the road for those snax. Staff are knowledgeable and can tell you some of the lesser known sights like the polish cemetery. It's a tranquil walk. The rooms are standard, but nice and clean with drink facilities. I came across the Beaumond by accident. I needed somewhere to stay at short notice and my wife booked me in while I was on the road. I expected to find a down to earth, no nonsense town centre pub. I got all of this and much much more. The guest house was easy to find and there was ample, safe off street parking to the rear. I received an excellent welcome and was shown to my room. A good size, spotlessly clean and full of facilities, everything you could ask for. Fresh milk in the fridge was a particular highlight. The bathroom was well appointed with a good strong shower and excellent water pressure. The bed was very comfortable, well placed reading lights, and I had a relaxing night and slept very well. Food was excellent. I enjoyed one of the cavalier pies and a great pint from the local Pheasant Brewery. The bar had book shelves packed with books so I had a good read as I was on my own. I would happily recommend the Beaumond unreservedly for a great stay. I look forward to my next visit and I hope it will be soon.

Well what can I say about this place. After looking on hotels.com for a place to stay for my travels I stumbled across this b&b set in a lovely area I was greeted by the host and shown the property and upon checking in I found it to be very well equipped. With cereal, drinks and breakfast already made ready for the morning I felt very welcomed. The self contained studio is beautiful. Very quiet and had everything I needed. Really felt like I was at home. I travel a lot with having my own business and I spent a lot of time in hotels and b&b’s and this one has to be my favourite so far. Small traditional Inn beautifully updated. 4 stars due to there being no lift only. Excellent breakfast. Very comfortable bed, lovely comfortable room at top of the Inn. Bathroom was immaculate. Only downside is it was up three flights of stairs with the third one especially very steep (as it is a lovely old building) - which for someone with slightly worse mobility issues than us would be a problem - (we just about made it OK though). We did not have breakfast (which we love having) when we are away. You have to pre-order the evening before. I understand why but did not know what we would fancy in the morning. We did not ask if we could just order our breakfast in the morning so this could be our error for not conmunicating. We did have a meal on the Saturday but we felt it was expensive for a pie meal. The veg was lovely and fresh. The service was really great and the waitress that evening was new but she was lovely and made our evening. We would certainly love to go back very central and you can walk from both stations. The market and shops are very near too.

A lovely homely Inn with a great breakfast menu. The owners are very friendly and down to earth. I'm local to Newark, so I haven't stayed a night but would recommend this place to anyone looking for somewhere to stay. It's close to the market square and has parking for guests.

Lovely place to stay. Booking in was easy, lots of car parking space at the rear (gates next to the hotel I missed the first time as drove straight passed). Room was great, everything you needed - the complimentary cookies were delicious! Excellent breakfast. Didn't stay for dinner as all was planned elsewhere but will certainly do so next time I visit.

charming friendly and personal hospitality, the most delicious evening meal and a spectacular breakfast, nothing was too much trouble for the owners, so much better and more enjoyable than being in an anonymous chain. Highly recommended.
