Terrible place, Kelly the old woman there, very rude and abrupt, dirty toilet’s, very untidy, and stomach ache after eating there. Never again, sunny side soft play tens times better. We’ve booked it for our daughters birthday 🥳.

I took my son here as he loved it there and when we arrived we were refused entry, the manager said that he's too old to use the soft play and I told him he wanted to just read the books and play with the toys as he still plays with toys for younger children, they still refused him to come in so we had to leave, my son ended up having a huge meltdown and I struggled to get him home, disgusting people!!!!

Last Tuesday, 7th of November I went there with my 1.5 year old daughter to meet my friend with two sons. Like few times in the past, floor was dirty, toys were sticky and not even one was working. 4£ for each baby so the managment can change sometimes battery in their toys. But the worst came later at home. My baby girl got sick, she had diarrhea and today after 4 days she's still sick. My friend called me and she said her boys were sick as well, vomit and diarrhea! We have been there few times before and definitely will not come back never again.

Son muy amables, se olvidó de mi bolsa una vez y pude recoger aunque el lugar no estaba oficialmente abierta. Conseguir sopa y pan que a veces, a veces un batido. Buena calidad y el personal es muy amable y educado.

My partner, myself, and our daughter have been here several times now and our daughter absolutely loves the play area and food on offer!! The price of food is affordable and portion sizes are generous and what impressed us was, if we wanted a hot drink, it came in a solid plastic drinks cup which was sealed safely. Our daughter loves the play area, which has various soft toys, the play area is covered in safe, soft mats and the climbing apparatus is also completely safe too, which is covered in foam, and my daughter loves the ball pool area too. Highly recommended to any family and children under 5

give the loos a good clean, I say.went today to meet friends, otherwise I wouldn't have stayed. can't use the entry gate as it's really awkward! was surprised they don't accept cards for payment although there's a cash machine nearby. ladies toilet was dirty with what looked like used loo roll strewn around the toilet. totally unacceptable in an eating establishment. think the play charge is high for children, I think it was £4. I ate a wrap which was nice and the tea was good tho' the paper cups smelled of damp - is it because they are stored on top of the coffee machine? I ordered a child's lunchbox for my son which I thought was ok - bread was just shop bought sliced loaf and was a little dry but it had plenty in it for the price - fruit, veg, yoghurt, cake and crisps. Staff a little lacklustre but friendly enough.

I went to beanies with the intention of giving a treat to my 2 girls aged 4 and 1 1/2 . Turned out that: 1: they were so primitive they don't accept payment by card. 2.their food was unreasonably pricey . You would think it was made of gold. 3.in spite of me coming to buy food from them, they wanted to charge me extra because my children wanted to play in the play area. 4. The attitude of the attendant stank to high heavens. With every minute I spent speaking with him, it became more and more ridiculous, I had to walk away and drive my kids to McDonalds a few miles away. There , there was a larger soft play area (minus the extortion by the way) and a less eye watering price list with complementary free toys, the option to pay by card.never ever will I , nor any of my close friends , relations and their children, set foot at beanies.not worth it.

I once went in when it was closed for a private party as I was just in the area but was met at the door by a woman who I assumed was one of the owners telling me it was shut. She then very shortly informed me that I should have checked the website before daring to visit. I think the senior staff there need to be conscious of how they come across.

This locally run cafe is a social enterprise which supports young people into work. It sources its coffee and food ethically and is a great place to come with young children. My daughter loves crawling around the soft play area downstairs and the baby area upstairs. We find the downstairs area especially good as there is a gate to the area that locks so we can let her have free range without worrying. The food is delicious and very reasonably priced. My daughter loves the 'pick and mix' children's option (which allows me to choose 6 small dishes for her) and there are other children's choices too. The staff are always very friendly, welcoming and helpful. We often drop in here on a shopping trip to Croydon and also use it as a meeting place with some friends who also have young children. There are a range of classes run here and they also sell cheap nearly-new kids clothes.

I think the previous reviews are really very unfair... I have been coming to Beanies for some time and have always had a pleasant experience. The staff are amazing and nothing is ever too much trouble. I always enjoy the food and don't mind the expense given that everything is home-made and the meat is free-range. The workshops are low-cost and the membership options mean my child can play for free for just over £8 per month - which seems really reasonable to me! My child and I and many of my friends love Beanies and Croydon would be missing out on something special if Beanies didn't exist! It is exactly what they say it is - a parent's paradise!

I visited for the first time on Tuesday and we were told that as my daughter is 4 years old she can't go on any of the soft play equipment and therefore she was able to play for free. The food was good and on that particular day the staff were truly brilliant. Arrived again today and this time I was told to pay five pounds for entry. I said that the other day my daughter was allowed to play for free as she was not allowed to use the equipment. However the staff rudely said that I should have paid that day, and the soft play is for 4 years old and under so my daughter could play on the equipment. Anyway, the long and short of it is the place is pretty shoddy, nothing inspiring in the slightest. No music in the upstairs room where we were ushered to on our first day. Just a strange mix of toys, like an old dusty play group that has had our day. Even still, I was stupidly enough actually thinking of holding my daughters party here just because of the top floor space. However, after today's rude and smug treatment I left without even buying a lunch. I'm not ever coming back, and will not recommend this place to anyone. Take inspiration from places like Tots Landing in Wimbledon or Sinbads in Raynes Park to improve, or just remain as the only place local mums come because there isn't anywhere else to go.

Beanies has so much potential, but just doesn't live up to the hype at all. It's dirty - really really dirty. The play floor is badly set up, often overcrowded with nowhere to sit and have a coffee/lunch. There is never any staff around to take orders or clean up. The menu is so-so as is the food. The whole place needs a good scrub (seriously, it's filthy!), and the play floor needs reorganising to make more space. There's another kiddie cafe in croydon which is smaller but miles better and cheaper. Beanies should pay them a visit and make notes!

a child friendly cafe with large children's play floor. I used to like this place and although on the pricey side when you factor in you pay £5 for over 1s to go on the play floor the food was quite nice and the children had somewhere safe to play so you didn't mind paying premium. on my last visit they had put some soft play equipment up stairs meaning you had less play space and seating. quite frankly it was so busy i thought it un safe not to mention unpleasant. their theory is that you go down stairs and eat however apart from not wanting to lug all your stuff up and down the stairs or lose your place the beauty of the previous arrangement was that you could eat or have a coffee while your child played away. also they have replace cups / mugs with some grubby plastic cups like the ones you get when you have a take out coffee only reusable. I actually cancelled my food order and left. What a shame

Visited mid morning in group of three. Many four seater tables had been occupied by the laptop brigade spreading themselves over the tables whilst partaking in a sole cup of coffee for several hours. We had intended to drink and eat in, but squashed around a small round table didnt seem inviting so we left.
