Myself and friends visited on a Saturday morning. Looked a lovely space and not very busy. We all ordered poached eggs on toast with bits and pieces. First dish arrived and the eggs weren't cooked, not just a bit of white but the entire thing was still clear. We sent that back but when the rest arrived they were just as bad. One lot of eggs were so over done and none of them were drained which left the toast wet through and inedible. The bacon and mushrooms tasted of old fat. Even the coffee was extremely weak. Poor all round, sorry to say.

Whilst on a weekend in Skeg my husband and I visited for Sunday dinner. We are regularly in the area due to having our own caravan here and had been meaning to try Beachlands for a while. I had nipped in the previous day just to check if we needed to book a table for dinner and was told "no" just to turn up between 11.30 & 3pm. We arrived on the Sunday around 11.25, was greeted by what I presume is the manager and she took our order. £5.50 each for a small dinner. We both chose the chicken but there was also beef or pork to choose from. After reading some reviews about long waiting times and also reading the sign that was at the counter stating that they are not a fast food place and during busy times there may be a long wait, we had braced ourselves for a decent waiting time as there were a few tables already seated. We took our seats outside in one of their little huts and waited only 10 minutes before the first meal arrived, followed a couple of minutes later by the other. Not quite sure why they didn't come together - I'm sure the young serving lad could've carried two plates. I had to ask for another fork as there was something encrusted on mine but it was quickly replaced without issue. The food was decent for the price. Nothing special but there was a good plateful of it with two roasties, a ball of mash, carrots, peas and cauli, a big yorkie and about 3 slices of chicken with plenty of gravy. The only thing I'd say is I found it all a little bland despite putting plenty of salt and pepper on. I presume they don't season the cooking water which I always do for starchy products. Nevertheless we ate up and then returned our plates to the fella behind the counter. He thanked me and I left. I believe he does all the cooking by himself and he was just plating up what looked like scampi, which I must say looked lovely - it was a good sized portion and there was a lot of salad on the plate too, clearly just waiting for the chips to be added. Although I probably wouldn't order the roast dinner again I would certainly go back for some of their other offerings

We come to this little tea room every year. Yesterday we visited on the rainiest day of the summer my husband and I and our little dog. We were going to stand outside but the owner said no come in your dog is welcome. We had a lovely cup of tea and the loveliest bacon cob. We had a lovely chat with the owners who really are very welcoming. We'll see you again next year!

Me and my friend LOVE this place so much. We’ve met all the staff, they are SO lovely. All the food is fresh and home cooked. Their home cooked chips are to die for, no oven chips here. Amazing portions of vegetables too, proper gravy. Lovely little wooden hut booths to sit in to protect you from sun. Yes you do wait maybe 20 mins for your food BUT the quality is well worth the wait. We would wait even longer. If you want over processed quick McDonalds then u go there, this place is PROPER food. We would be willing to pay more too! You could deffo charge more for your food its so so good.

We had a day trip to Skegness and whilst my husband was trying to find the fishing tackle shops, we came across this cafe at the end of the beach. Nice large gardens with covered seating bays. I went for the mince, yorkshire pud, mash and veg which was lovely. My husband had the chicken breast, mash and veg. Good portions and tasty. Be prepared for a bit of a wait to be served, but worth the wait!

Recently bought a caravan on the northshore site in Skegness! so needed a, reliable, cosy, family (dog friendly) cafe! And I've found it, this little gem is located near the sea front with outside gardens where you can retreat, you can enjoy beautiful home made cooking from a delicious full English breakfast to home made pie and chip amongst a catalogue of wonderful homemade delights. Puddings are also homemade and a variety of hot and cold snacks and drinks. The owner has all the covid 19 measures in place to make your stay safe but also keeping it a friendly cosy atmosphere!

Go to Costa or support a local business? I thought I’d do the latter ... Ordered coffee, sat at a table, took a sip when the owner told me off for removing my mask. I look at her quizzically. “You’re supposed to wait until your food arrives” she snapped. I told her I hadn’t ordered food. She told a family on another table the same. They’d ordered food but were drinking their drinks - the owner told them It was the law snd she’d be fined £200 if she allowed it. Actually, the law states masks may be removed when seated for eating and drinking. It’s how you choose to interpret and understand it! She was rather rude in manner and I’d suggest if customers cause so much worry and inconvenience, then don’t open.

We visited Beachlands café just prior to the bank holiday, lovely outdoor garden area to sit and eat in the sun. However the service is extremely poor, we waited for just over an hour for our breakfasts to arrive, I went inside and politely asked how much longer will our food order be only to be shouted at by a jumped up little man, 'what do you want me to do, I only have one pair of hands and it will be out soon'. Obviously the owner has issues with people, if you don't like the public then perhaps its not the business for you! The owner is rude, very aggressive and threatening. AVOID THIS CAFE at all cost!! Visit one of the other local cafes!

Decided to visit an outdoor tea room for lunch as we had visited many times in the past which had been delightful when the sitting out areas were thatched roof ( unfortunately the thatch now has gone and the outside gazebos have been painted in rather garish colours). We ordered a cup of tea and a sandwich. It wasn’t too crowded which suited us due to social distancing. We waited well over an hour. My husband is diabetic so I went and asked the young serving boy how long would our order be (it had already been paid for), to have a response that I can only describe as rudeness ( I wouldn’t even expect my own Grandchildren to speak to me like that). I then went to see the owner inside the cafe to ask the same and wow, he totally rounded up on me when I asked how much longer my order would be. He told me that somebody had been in before me to complain and that I could have my money back. The guy had totally lost it shouting at me, extremely rude, saying ‘ I haven’t started yet’ no wonder other people had been in to complain. We had already witnessed people sitting at the tables and leaving !!!! A woman in the kitchen shouted that our sandwiches were ready and they were handed to me on a plated tray. The sandwich was dripping in so much watered down Rose Marie sauce that the bread was sodden!!!! Presentation disgusting and tasted no better. Please avoid this cafe at all cost !!!! The owners are rude and very aggressive and threatening. It once was lovely many years ago but owners have changed since it was a delightful thatched roof gazebo tea room. There are far better tea rooms locally where customers are treated with respect. AVOID.

We've been coming here every year for the past 10 years on our family Skegness holiday and love having lunch here every day during our stay. Yes service can be slow but your on holiday so relax, have a drink and chill. If you want fast service then go to the local McDonalds or KFC but don't expect the same homemade food that you'll get at the tea rooms. We would recommend this place to anyone that visits Skeg, the food is lovely and of great proportions, service is great (just relax if you have to wait) and the owners are lovely. See you all next year.

Stumbled upon this hidden gem two days ago by chance and decided to eat here today. It's a lovely setting with plenty of places to sit in either the sun or in the shade with old memorabilia in the shaded eating areas. Food is cooked to order and it's delicious. We ordered a prawn salad with chips, the salad was beautiful and plentiful and the chips home made and delicious. Good to get away from the madding crowd, sit and chat whilst enjoying a delicious meal. Great service too. Highly recommend.

The title says it all really. We were a party of 5 (3 adults, 2 children), we arrived at 1pm, and were served around 3pm. There was also a good 15 to 20 minutes, between the first dish arriving and the last one (at one point the woman behind the counter had noticed only 2 of us were eating and came over expecting to clear up I think only to see 3 were still waiting)The Food - Adults hadSteak Pie - looked microwaved (it was the first meal out), stale pastry, but the chips were well cooked and niceLasagne - looked microwaved, but tasted good. Mixed Grill - Beef, Pork and Gammon steaks were really nice, onion rings were also good. Sausage looked and tested very cheap. Kids had (11 year old) Fish and Chips - Fish tasted good, but chips were undercooked.(14 year old) Full English Breakfast - all tested good. the drinks were all fine (cans of pop and milkshakes mainly with 2 ciders). In conclusion, they state quite clearly on the menu and inside when ordering, it's not fast food and cooked fresh, but 2 hours was ridiculous. Only 2 other families had their food delivered before ours. I can only guess that they cook 1 order, then start on another only when that's finished.

Came here for lunch with the family on a Monday and the place was less than half full but it still took over an hour for food that was overcooked and burnt. There was no communication between who took the order and the kitchen. After 45 minutes we asked where our food was to be told that they'd only just started it. Another 15mins later and still no food. When we went to complain we got confronted by two obnoxious women saying that they didn't know how long things took to cook and that there was a large order before. We were the largest order with 7 so not sure which imaginary table they were on about. Asked for a refund so we could go elsewhere and was told that because the food was already cooking we couldn't have our money back. No apology until I asked for one and some very aggressive pointing to the menu using 'it's all cooked fresh' as an excuse. When we eventually got our food the toast was burnt so we're the teacakes. The smily faces and fish fingers were so overcooked the fish was brown. And there were big lumps of burnt meat in the cottage pie. All in all absolutely rubbish. Rubbish food, rubbish waiting times and rubbish customer service. Avoid at all costs.

This was our second visit to this cafe as a party of 4 for a sunday lunch, our previous visit had been on a sunday which seems to be the busiest day so when we visited this time we expected a wait as it was on a Sunday. It wasn't particularly busy when we placed our food order but we were warned by the girl taking the order that there was a 1 hour wait, which is acceptable. After over 1 hour 45 mins of waiting and asking 2/3 times when the order would be ready 3 sunday lunches arrived. I then had to wait another 10 minutes for my meal which was the gammon steak by which time the rest of the party were close to finishing their meals. Food is good when you eventually get it but customer service deffo needs improving along with being able to cook more than 1 meal at once. Won't be going again I'm afraid

We had exactly the same experience as other trip advisor reviewers. We arrive just after 2pm. We were a family of 7. Placed our order, we were happy to chat and order more drinks whilst waiting but 1hr and 20mins later still no food. We went into enquiry and we were snapped at and told begrudgingly we could have our money back for the food only! They hadn't even got round to our order. They was a lot of waitresses but just one guy plating all the food up it appeared. We only ordered a jacket potato and salad which should have already been prepared. It's so frustrating as they are not cooking anything complicated. On service alone I wouldn't go back sorry. So at 3.45 we them had to source lunch. I hope the owners realised that they spoilt our family day out. One small plus point I must point out they did cook my nieces meal as she was absolutely starving after waiting an hour for lunch. There was no communication from the staff which compounded the wait, overall appalling service. I can't comment on the food as we never got it!

Nipped in for Sunday lunch, the place was slightly busy, made our order and was informed that there would be a slight delay. 1hr 15 mins later I went to ask if our order was anywhere near and got the wrath of the owner, a very snappy older lady who proceeded to chastise me for asking stating 'you knew we were busy' (about 10 families in) and 'I'm not apologising' when asked for a refund she snapped at the waitress saying 'give HER a refund but not for the drinks' what a horrible older lady! After receiving the refund we went just yards down the road to a lovely chippy recived our food within 15 mins (this place was busy) and the staff were lovely.

What a great find this was. We left Butlins for the day and walked past Beachlands on the way into Skegness. Looked at the menu and thought the prices looked good. We spent the day at Skeg enjoying ourselves and as we were walking back decided to pop in to Beachlands. My oldest (4) chose Sausage, mash, veg with gravy, my youngest (2) chose sausages, chips and beans. I had jacket potato with tuna mayo and my husband had egg and chips with a cob. Lots of food on the plates and we were welcomed by the staff who even gave our boys toys to play with in the garden while we waited for the food. We stayed outside the whole time as were very lucky with the weather. We used the toilets and in the ladies they had baby changing facilities if you needed them.We will be visiting again, maybe tomorrow as it was the most relaxing time we have had so far on this holiday and the boys loved playing in their garden. Thanks

We found this wonderful eatery last year and when we are in the area we always visit. The staff remember us and are always very welcoming. The cafe is dog friendly and our Maisie is always made welcome and also gets a choice of treats. The food is homemade and georgous just be prepared for the large portions (beach walk required after eating ) . We have eaten different meals at different times from breakfasts, homemade pies, liver & onions and roast dinners which are served daily. The current low season special offer of a roast dinner choice of meats and plenty of vegetables plus a dessert of a choice of sponge puddings for £4 is absolutely amazing, but the normal menu throughout the season is still fabulous During Low season it is open everyday (I believe also on Xmas day) closes at 3pm last meal order at 2pm but during the high season it is usually open until 7pm. In good weather there is a lovely garden to eat in. We found in summer they could be very busy but just relax & the food is well worth the wait. It is also licenced and close to the beach.

Called for Sunday dinner it took over an hour from ordering to being served, cooked fresh I didn't expect them going to Tesco to buy the produce and prepare and cook it. Another couple said same one hour and ten minutes and still not served. Veg was good roast potatoes funny taste don't know what they cook them in, beef was tough and tasteless. Had a dinner in week waited about 15 - 20 minutes, beef was tender and good taste, wife had pie and chips the chips again I tried them they tasted funny must be their cooking oil, wouldn't recommend chips stick to mash and veg. Give a miss next time.

Stumbled across this place liked the look of the garden and the sign saying pet friendly. Yes there was a little wait but we made the most of the lovely weather and ordered a bottle of wine. When the meal arrived I was suprised to see the size of the plate and the amount of food on it ! I did manage to eat most of it I just left a few chips and I saved some meat for our dog to take back to the caravan. For what we paid we were happy and it was a bonus sat in a lovely garden area with our dog.

Stayed in Skegness August 2015 and stumbled on this Restaurant which has a Lovely Large Garden with covered seating areas as well as inside seating. The food is freshly cooked to order and is delicious. The Portions are Enormous and the prices are incredibly cheap and it is licensed as well. The Staff make you very welcome and also it is Dog friendly with treats for dogs.We tried several recommended restaurants but this one is by far in a league of its own.Because each dish is freshly made you may have to wait a little while, but it's well worth the wait.To sum up Good Honest Delicious food, really lovely staff, 10/10

We usually visit here for lunch a couple of times during our holiday. Although it has changed hands there is still a good choice & the service was great. Reasonably priced & you can have anything from a sandwich to a full roast dinner.

Visited in August with family, we ordered hot drinks and food. We waited 35 minutes for our drinks and 1 hour and 35 minutes for our food before giving up waiting and heading to the local Mc Donalds as by this point our children were very hungry. The only positive I can give is that the gardens are a lovely place to sit in.

we have visited this eaterie for many years and have always been pleased, but under a change of ownership it excels.we planned to have a cup of tea and a sandwich, but the specials board offered a choice of roast dinners and pudding for £4,yes £4. with 2 mugs of tea,our choice,we had one roast chicken and one roast beef. whilst the beef was perhaps not the best ,the 3 thick slices of chicken breast were more than satisfying.with 3 veg, mash and roast potatoes, stuffing and yorkshire pudding topped with thick gravy,we couldn't face the puddings and asked if we could have them on our return from the shops.no problem.when we arrived back,we were glad we had waited. the puddings were large with loads of thick, quality custard, none of the cheap own brand stuff. the sign said "pet friendly" and the waitress was quick to offer biscuits to our "yorkie" and a cavalier nearby was also given treats.we sat out in the lawned garden area, under cover.there is seating undercover outside for about 40, and plenty more on the grassed areas, and there are even tiny picnic tables for smaller children.several spaces for car parking are available, but if full, street parking is available locally. the garden area was awash with seasonal flowers and shrubs, and is largely sheltered, but the sea breeze was noticeable,as the sea and beach are only a 5 minute walk away.we found the garden tranquil for the most part, traffic noise, whilst noticeable, was not overpowering. the special offer was for mon-fri only, but when we've eaten at the weekends, the licenced cafe still offers good value .

I hope you are hungry if you visit this cafe as the portions are massive! The owners are very helpful and friendly. My mum and I visited in the winter and were prepared to sit outside as we each had a dog but there is a dog friendly area inside the cafe which we were invited inside. The gardens are lovely and we look forward to sitting out there in the summer with one of their £6.99 bottle of wine!

This is a good family cafe, (licensed) but was spoilt by the bought in cod in batter. Chips very good and plentiful, probably frozen but not so noticeable. Excellent & generous salad. Staff excellent and extremely helpful. Good quality cheap plonk at £6.99 (Valencia)! Great gardens & outside facilities. Maybe the fish was not the best choice, but given it is a seaside resort and loads of chippies about with seating, they could up their game & vastly improve the food for no or little extra cost to them.

The service has declined since we last dined here. Little touches have disappeared. The wine is now plonked on the table and initial glass no longer poured. I had the lamb wellington, and was somewhat disappointed to receive 2 small cubes of meat. It was very nice though as was the rest of our meal.

Tucked away between the large venue's across from happy days club but if you do spot it well worth a visit, next door to a chippy. Run by working class folk with a friendly attitude and friendly prices. Our favourite is the Sunday carvery with generous portions and to top it all comes with a pudding included in the price. A good extensive menu at affordable prices for families and couples. Large table's, good seating but what make ginghams our favourite is the helpful friendly staff and atmosphere. Well worth a visit.

There seem to be bad reviews about this Costa but I like it very much.this time I was alone, usually I am with a friend.the barista pointed out to me that I had a complimentary drink on my app so I had a strawberry frappe entirely free and o nly had to pay for my cake.staff are friendly and the place is clean.

Have had the set Sunday lunch on several occasions. Quality of the meal has been fairly consistent. Today however, the experience was overshadowed by some very nasty custard! It sounds very picky, when the rest of the meal was fine, but watery, lumpy, tasteless powdered custard with the crumble, took the edge right off...
