Consistently the best Biryani I've ever had.

Brilliant Indian restaurant. A gem for anyone out past the West End. Never fails to provide taste sensations and leftovers can be bagged up for a mid-week treat. Was listening to the Lizzy whilst eating made me thing of a nice mural from somewhere else.

Wonderful food and great service. We will definitely be back soon.

They are working in scotland and they dont know what chicken tikka masala is, phoned them to resolve the issue but not helpful, pics attached, definitely this is not chicken tikka masala, not even chicken tikka, Its tasteless chicken curry with raw onions and peppers, wasted £28

If you miss your Indian Chinese food, then this place is the one to go to. I tried their dragon chicken which was delicious. I wish they added some Chinese soup options especially in these freezing temperatures.

Had an enjoyable family meal here. the food was nice , unique, and tasty. The staff were welcoming and accommodating. If I had any criticism, it would be lighting, and privacy, it was far too bright and could have benefited from some screens or partitions . Oh, and the gents smelled like Tam Shepherds fart spray from the 80s Good night out .

Recommend by a friend who visited a few weeks ago and said the food was delicious so thought we would try a takeaway. Last Sunday evening called up to place an order for delivery after an hour still no food called them and was told delivery driver had left with a few orders, another hour passed by this time it’s 8pm still nothing, called again to be told order had been missed and they would make it up now. Sorry no cancel the order. Unfortunately they have lost a new customer both for takeout and dine in.

Second lot of Pakora burnt to a crisp, totally disgusting.

Been here a few times and the food has been consistently good.

Been going for years but too busy now at weekends, food is great and booking is a must but you could find yourself with a table time limit which for us is no good for our night out.

Food is great..service is fine but a bit disorganised. Worth a visit.

We had takeaway curry last night from Bawarchi. Our honest opinion which hopefully the restaurant/ takeaway will acknowledge. Vegetable Pakora starter was super salty and not fresh, burned and smelled bad like the oil hasn't been changed in the fryer. King Prawn jinga tandoori main course was salty. Ok, you think prawns should be salty but you'd be wrong when expecting sweet tasting prawns. Not plump but varied soggy to tough. Bizarre. Lamb Rogan Gosh was super salty and although the lamb was tender it was inedible just like the King Prawn and Veg Pakora. The plain nan bread was charred like it was reheated from earlier. We ate enough for it to cause a sleepless night with indegestion. Most definitely not worth the approximately £30 spent. We had takeaway curry from Bawarchi last month which we'd rate 3/5 but thought would try again since Christmas time can be hit or miss. On this experience we won't be back. 1/5 is being kind.

Ordered a take away. Two hours later it hadn't arrived. Was told it was "on its way", which was a bare faced lie. It's a strong field in which to compete but this has to be the worst service I've ever experienced. An absolute shambolic disgrace. If you're taking money for food and then proving yourselves unable to provide it, you don't deserve to survive as a business. Utterly appalling.

Water fantastic place a gym in Anniesland Glasgow food is fantastic and very reasonably priced I would highly recommend it's very authentic and staff are Pleasant food is very fresh keep up the good work

Worse Buttur chicken ever tasted. Worse chicken jelfrezi ever. try and go to a better place. I went for it because of the good reviews but the food was awful. Waste of money won't buy again.

Yesterday we ordered food from Bawarchi restaurant Glasgow for our son's 7th birthday. We are so happy that we made right decision. Everyone came to our party was talking about food taste they really loved the food. Food is really important for a successful party. The best Indian food ever tried in Glasgow. Strongly recommend for their best quality and taste that too in reasonable price. Everything in one combo.👌🏻

It had to be a reliably brilliant meal for our first meal out after so long!!! Shared starters from Indian street food and old favourites. A lovely friendly experience! Main courses perfect and impressively presented so it felt like a treat. Delicious red wine. Ice cream perfect, old friends in staff and chefs came and made time to catch up with us despite being busy, servers both responsive and giving privacy. Love it!! Hidden gem. More authentic than what food you get in India. This is where you get the quality when the chef owns the restaurant. Must try Indo Chinese. Chicken biryani on the bone and South Indian recipes. Amazing dosa. Amazing hospitality.

We’ve had good tasty food every time we visit. Our friends who have visited India and loved the food there thinks Bawarchi is one of the best Indian restaurants in Glasgow. Their South Indian food (dosa) is especially good!

Just had a chicken tikka meal + 2 chappati ( pic k up ) 1st the chappati were hard probally re heated ..also ckicken did not taste like tika ..overal was very dissapointed it was my 1st time as a customer and most definitely the last ...if i foned up and complained and was offered a free meal of my choice i would politely decline .beware best to avoid and try somewere else

Bawarchi is the best Indian food me and my wife have ever tried.We have eaten Indian food all over for a long long time and bawarchi is the best we’ve tried by a country mile.After we tried it when Peter and chef first took over from the Agra we told all our family to try it.We all use it now and don’t even think of going elsewhere .His butter chicken and lamb desi are to die for.As is his peshwari nan and light and fluffy rice.Superb.Also can I just say the guys who do the deliveries are a credit .So we need to support bawarchi in these trying times as to lose it would be an absolute disaster.If youve not tried it yet,trust me ,do yourself a favour ,and let us all know what you think .I’m sure you won’t be disappointed ,and it’s on our doorstep !!.Support Bawsrchi..

Butter chicken, lamb Bhoona Madras, vegetable dopiaza and peshwari Nan are absolutely the best. Great to find some big black cardamoms in the dishes. We’ve recommended Bawarchi to many friends and family members who also love the food from this amazing Chef. Don’t go anywhere else!

The Butter Chicken, lamb Madras, Aloo Gobi, rice and Peshwari are the best! Would not go anywhere else. Don’t understand the recent review about bad customer service, it’s exceptionally good, never, ever had a problem and we eat/order here constantly. The Chef is such a mild mannered man and every other staff member have been exceptionally polite and friendly. Personally I would ignore the last review.

Tired placing order online, and sadly they refused to deliver food at my address. The restaurant is just 3.5 miles away from my address. When I called to place they agreed to send the food at an extra delivery charge, to which I agreed. But then the guy on the phone tried to overcharge me for food, and when I confronted him and told that he is overcharging me, he started giving senseless execuses. I finally decided not to place an order. I had food from this restaurant earlier this year and the food was delicious, sadly they have pathetic customer service. I will never order food from this restaurant.

Wow.... Delicious food. It has been a while since we had nice Indian food outside. Very tasty and authentic. Friendly staff and great customer service. The kids enjoyed the food too. Would definitely be visiting regularly and strongly recommend for anyone who would want to try a tasty Indian food.

We understand it’s difficult times and all business are struggling but for me when I never leave reviews to give an idea of how bad it was - we found a hair in our chicken pakora and when we called we we’re accused of putting it there!!!!! Our mains were ok but very Luke warm at best Outrageous and extremely poor service and we will NOT be back. Very lucky that one star is lowest Be careful what you order

Our favorite indian food in glasgow!! I've never had anything I didn't like, the hardest part is just deciding what to get! Plus when we order delivery it almost always is delivered early.

We have been getting takeaway and every time it has been delicious. The traditional curry, the korma and aloo saag, lamb chops are amongst favourite. Peshwari naan is the best naan i have had. We have also been the restaurant few times at the service was great !

Great portion size, meal.deals available and a curry that stacks up well in Glasgow's great selections. Really nice staff too. This is based on a takeaway meal.

I am utterly amazed by the reviews for this restaurant! Delivery was fast....perhaps a little too fast! Unfortunately the Pakora was overdone with an oily taste and too salty. The chicken tikka bhuna was absolutely the worse we have ever had and we have eaten a lot of Indian food over the years so do feel more than qualified when it comes to Indian spices and flavour and how a really good curry should taste. There was absolutely no flavour at all from the bhuna sauce and it had an unpleasant greasy film over it. The chicken seemed fresh enough but unfortunately most of it went in the bin. The nan bread looked nice, but again had absolutely no flavour. Unfortunately due to lockdown our favourite Indian restaurant is closed for now, however we will most definitely NOT order from Bawarchi again. I could probably put together a better curry myself and the "Punjabi Pakora" stocked by Sainsbury's is a far better alternative in the meantime!

So pleased to see Bawarchi is now open during the day at weekends! Family love it there, the staff are THE BEST, it’s just like being in someone’s home, there’s such an attention to detail. Husband has the new Dosa starter, very healthy and different for us. Kids and I can’t see past the paneer, my Indian friend says it’s the best she’s ever had! The house wine is also delicious by the way! Best place ever!!

Very tasty, better to eat in we found than take away

First 3 where ok but you only need one to disappoint and it was shocking. The oil was sitting on top and could be spooned out. The sauce was like soup and the meat was little. When i phoned i was not given an appoligy or anything. NEVER AGAIN. I paid for my bin. Shocking attitude with my complaint and nothing said as sorry we will return with same order. STAY CLEAR
