Barwell Cafe in Kingston upon Thames

Reasonable food and prices. Typical greasy spoons menu. Staff were miserable though so didn't feel very comfortable or welcome.

Went to this cafe due to the restaurant attached to the Premier Inn was closed, it was ideal for breakfast, decent size to last the day that we had planned. If i have one niggle, parking availability not ideal but that can be forgiven with the excellent food, service and manners.

This was just before the ramble to Tattenham Corner on a lovely sunny afternoon. Only trouble was that the portion was twice the size I was expecting - but delicious as was the coffee. Agree with rmuks about the friendly and respectful staff. Not local but would gladly revisit if in the area again.

As a solo female in a new place, the people working in this cafe were very hospitable and respectful, making sure my coffee was ok and that everything was nice. If only all cafes in London could be as welcoming as this! Definitely will come back to the area if only just to come to this cafe again ☺️

Great value and a lot of food for the price. Go for sausage, bacon and egg baguette. Well recommended. Even took the rind off.

Personally I like what it does on the tin style cafes - plastic molded seats - vinegar ketchup - choice of bacon or ham with everything ..... what Britain was build on !! This is what it is, No more, No less, Reasonable priced food. But if you are expecting Chi Lattes, fruit smoothies and Rabbits in hats on the toilet doors - NOT for you.

This was the closest cafe to chessintons we was quite hungery on the way so decided to pop in very clean and good prices if you need a cafe breakfast or pie and chips or burger and chips or many other dishes. This will not break the bank or you could pay £9 for chicken and chips in chessingtons ??

I'm not going to go on one about how bad this place is - just don't go, requests are ignored, customer service is awful - they asked if I wanted any chips with my baguette, before I even had a chance to answer, I got "well, do you want them or not" very rude - food is very average and as I said requests are ignored, asked for some lettuce with my chicken mayo baguette, was told I'd have to order the chicken salad baguette, asked for onions on bacon roll if any spare, looked at me like a piece of dirt and just tapped another 30p into the till - you're a disgrace. Customers make your business, how about being a little more helpful and friendly instead of looking at as all as an inconvenience, will not be back.

Just popped in for a coffee and perhaps their machine was playing up that morning. The coffee was so weak and watery. The food menu looked good and perhaps might be better than the coffee!

The breakfasts here are very good. Coffe is good too. Good service Friendly. The kids liked it too. Definately recommend. Parking can be a bit tricky.

This café is between Chessington World of Adventures and Lidl. It is a small café that serves good food at very reasonable prices. It appears to be run by two men. There is even a television to watch while eating!

Not the most luxurious restaurant, but judged by the amount of people that are there every day, I thought I'd give it a try. What a pleasant surprise. Good food, good size portions and fast service.

food was ok but service was poor. it seemed open one day but was only for friends it seemed of the owner. don't bother if you can find somewhere near

We had a really great breakfast here I can't fault any thing it was so good! The cafe was very clean. I would 100% eat here again :)

lugar al cliente habitual, he estado aquí muchas veces, la comida es buena, el personal es amable y el precio son aceptables. Estas personas nunca me defraudó, tienes exactamente lo que quieres!

The best cafe We ever been. Excelent food and atmosfer !!!Service very quick and food fresh. Highly recomended

The food falls well short of an acceptable standard but a major criticism is that they will cleverly ring-up on the cash register "the change due" and pocket the difference (allegedly compromising the owner and/or the tax system, for which law-abiding citizens have to make up the shortfall).
