The best fish and chips for miles around.

Decent fish and chips, but for the price there are better options around. For a local quick and easy chippy run though it suits its purpose. It is cash only though so bear that in mind.

Had donner kebab meat was hard and cold put naan bread in the toaster very hard .like rock horrible waste of my money .don't think I be back in there .

Always prompt, always good food, always friendly staff and plenty of chips. Best around.

Great chips - super crispy and comes in a box. Fish and burger were also very fresh. Only negative was the lack of fish in the kids meal option. Not even fish fingers

Expensive, Spongy soggy undercooked batter, not crisp, fish was fresh, too much dry white used on the chips to preserve them, peas were too thick and dry, no gravy offered

I love popping to barrow fish and chips and grabbing a real nice quarter pounder with cheese and it tastes very very nice 7283/10 highly recommend, I like it with the lads and prime energy because the chips are high quality! Dwayne the Rock Johnson makes me rock hard!

I really didn’t have any expectations, I’d spent a few hours pitching up our tent at a local campsite and we just needed food. Well the Cod was the best we’ve had for a very long time, meaty, in fact the whole meal was a delight and cooked to perfection, flavoursome and a good portion. Service, we could not of asked for more. This is a great little fish shop that we’ll definitely be using again.

Used to be good a few years ago but the food has got worse (in particular all kebabs are now noticeably cheap cuts) and the prices have climbed steeply. We only use the place now if we want something quickly within walking distance. Can't fault the staff but the food is overpriced and mediocre.

First time at this place. The food was fresh,large portions,and the price was reasonable. Great staff the best chips I've ever had.

Fish was freshly cooked. Portions are really big. Can be a little slow on a Friday evening when things are busy but the team behind counter try there best to get things out as quickly as possible.

Loved this place at first then after while the quality of the food went down hill. When I brought it to their attention it got brushed under the carpet. Was told I’d be offered a free meal but when I went back in there the free meal turned into £1.50 off the bill. The excuse the fryer weren’t working, if you knew could have just said instead of acting like you don’t know what I’m talking about. I not fussed about not having a free meal just pure principle if you say you’re going to do something follow through guys.

Haddock and chips twice plus 1 curry sauce and 1 Donner Meat for £36.50 is outrageous!

Large cod, medium cod and 1 medium chips £20.00, not going to get dinner there again. Fish not fresh, chips dry and only just warm.

Great staff and great fish and chips Burgers are good too and do are the kebabs. Cash only, but if you can deal with that, it’s worth it

Take phone orders, give you a time(ish) and queue No. too. Cash only so do not get caught out. FnC always freshly cooked, getting expensive post Covid. Large cod n chips £9.50 but does 2 people unless you are very hungry. £5.50 for small. Lots of other things on menu including kebabs, skewers, pizza, salad & other fishes, sausage, pies n chicken etc

Friendly staff who provide excellent service and quality food. I'm looking forward to my next takeaway when I'm next visiting my family in December.

We've been getting our takeaways from here for a few years now and I can honestly say we've never been disappointed. Always fresh, well cooked food and friendly staff. In my sons words 'best doner and chips hes ever had'. Make sure you've got big plates because you certainly won't be hungry 😋

have never had a bad experience at this Chippy. You are Made welcome and the food is Cooked fresh Portions are good and the food is delicious. Decent Parking, the odd boy racer Coming in or out a little bit fast so keep you eyes open! some for the Barrow Ducks. I have to recommend the Cod. Simply delicious. nice light batter and not greasy. Cheers guys keep it up! godsend during Lockdown.

Great fish and chips...massive portions

Fantastic, you could not better their fish and chips or service. The helping are massive and 100% eatable unlike some places. Pies and sausages are brill too. I have not tried any other food on offer but no doubt it is just as good.

Well cooked food but be warned portions on the large side

New to the area and have been here twice. Although you have to wait the fish and chips are always freshly made and lovely, well worth the wait.

My stop off on the way back from fishing trips that way. Outstanding wide range of food with friendly staff with the added bonus of a small inside seating area. Here's to hoping it will stay for a long time and not disappear like our other local amenities!

Honest hardworking guys that are a victim of their own success, yes they get very busy yes you may wait peak times but the food is generally A+. Kebabs are great, fish is great and the chips are a cut above most in Bury.

Decent cheap fish and chips. Although it’s extremely slow on a Friday. I waited 30 minutes for a small portion of chips to go once! But that’s only at peak periods I still eat here once a month at least!
