Nice bar with good live music and cheap drinks. The only downside - at least if you're over the age of 21 - is that it's a student hangout, so it's very crowded and shouty on Friday and Saturday nights. YMMV.

Deeply disappointed with my experience at Barrelhouse. My friend and I had booked our table over First Table, where you pay a booking fee and have 50% off any food. At the end of our meal, we were charged full price - we were unaware of this at the time as we were never given a receipt, we were told to pay for our tab at the bar. Once we realised, I rang up straight away to ask for 50% of our food bill refunded. I was told to send my bank details via email and that the refund will be paid. It wasn’t. I rang the Barrelhouse 4 more times and again was met with apologies and told the money would be transferred in the following days. I still have never received any refund from Barrelhouse and I certainly won’t be visiting Barrelhouse again.

Nice little find, different experience for Pizza and loved all of it, nice and cosy little place with a good choice on the menu and very good prices. Will be back again to try the hot dogs.

Barrelhouse is ideally located in clifton village , with plenty of off street parking surrounding the pub. The pub itself is very traditional inside , however has a very large rooftop terrace where you can also dine! And have a great view over clifton! On mondays they do 2-1 on there very special detroit pizzas which are an absolute gem! They also hold a happy hour on cocktails at £5 a go an absolute bargain ! Both are pizzas were of the course traditional detroitt style loaded with tomato sauce deep style , plenty of topping and to die for ! Service throughout was attentive , am i coming back , most definately !

Unit 2, Cargo 2, Museum Street Wrapping WarfGreat spot for a premium processed sausage. I had the Yellow Dog Red Dog hot dog with fries. It was more or less a very premium processed sausage with lots of toppings in a soft bun. There was a hint of meaty flavour that was a little overpowered by the toppings. The crunchy onions texture added to every mouthful. Similarly, the bun had a soft but not too chewy texture and a light taste that didn’t interrupt the main parts of the dish. The mustard and ketchup were not overpowering, nor the pickles. The fries were particularly crispy in places and fluffy soft in others. It did feel like I was shovelling them into my mouth at times as the potatoey pieces were quite small. The location was great but with limited seating. I would recommend a visit, possibly to share fries between two.

My partner and I shared the BBQ tower and it came with WAY more food than we expected- the burgers were far from mini but you did not catch me complaining! They were the BEST burgers I’ve ever had. The fries were well seasoned and the onion rings were juicy and fresh but the meat was nothing but quality. The ribs just fell off the bone. We were in heaven. The service was lovely, our waitress was lush and the chef was super happy and lovely too- you could see everything being cooked which was a lovely touch- the smell of it cooking also got you in the right frame of mind to tackle said beast. We also loved the playlist- it felt somewhat encouraging as we slipped into our food coma. I only knocked one star for atmosphere because we couldn’t understand how it was so quiet?! The quality of food we thought it would be heaving!! We will be back and thank you!!
