Bloody brilliant. Truckers cafe where you get a proper breakfast and not some poncy cheap bacon and half cooked egg. Love it here. Been a few times. Brought hubby then hubby and son and last week my friend. We’re back tomorrow too!!!

We stopped here on our way down to Ipswich. Having gone passed here several times over the year when visiting family in the area, we had never had the opportunity to stop for food. So glad we did, the place was clean, the food was well presented and the hot drinks were fab! We enjoyed a cooked breakfast (1 small and 1 large). Get yourself here for good food at reasonable prices.

Stopped here to break up a long journey on a family holiday. The menu was decent and food filled a hole. Toilets were lovely and clean and perfect for us all to pop in after a couple of hours in the car. A fairly large group of us stopped and we were all served within 15 minutes with piping hot food.

This place always surprise me. The best bacon bap I ever had in all UK. Seriously, cooked well, crispy bacon cooked to perfection. I have been around all UK and tried many bacon baps but this one is sooo good. The chef was very friendly, helpful and beautiful too. Let’s not talk about English breakfast. If you are around give it a try. The sausages give a 5 star to this place.

What a lovely little find! I was on my way from the Humber Bridge to Spilsby and fancied a bite of something to eat. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the cafe, although simply furnished was clean. I ordered an egg & bacon bap and a mug of tea, both of which were lovely and very good value for money. They appear to offer a good range of dishes, which are all freshly cooked. If you’re out that way, I can recommend Barney’s Diner.

My family took a week's holiday on the East coast. We needed a food break half way between Lancaster and Skegness, so we stopped here en route. Because there was 10 of us they gave us a very comfy private room upstairs. The food was delicious, fresh, hot and served by lovely friendly staff. It was also very cheap. On our return journey we called in again. Somebody already had the upstairs room but that was no problem. The staff arranged a ten seater table in the main area. Again the food was first class and arrived quickly. Special mention must go to Lesley, one of the servers. She was exceptionally friendly and helpful and very knowledgeable about the local roads and driving conditions. In summary, a great and unpretentious place to break your journey for a good meal.

We used to be quite regular here as we live in Barnetby. However, the last two times have been very disappointing. We had finished our coffees before our breakfast arrived partly due to it being tepid and partly because the staff were too busy chatting. We asked for crisply bacon on both and didn't get it on either. The breakfast wasn't hot and the beans were nearly cold. We asked for extra toast whichever we had to remind staff about as they had forgotten so it arrived (barely toasted) after we had finished our breakfast. We would have complained at the time but we didn't have the time to wait for them to redo anything and to be honest, we weren't impressed by the service or the food. We don't like leaving a negative review as we like to support local businesses but definitely gone downhill.

Sitting down at the table I thought that I wouldn't get much for a fiver, but when the dish arrived, it was an enormous meal: super tender beef in quantity, a Yorkshire Pudding, broccoli, green beans, cauliflower, parsnip, mashed potatoes, roast potatoes - all covered with a delicious thick beef gravy. From what I could see, the place was unpretentious and spotlessly clean. Stopped here for breakfast after hearing good things! Oh my how disappointed we were. Firstly, the girl at the till could barely operate it and was really confused at our order - we only wanted 2 sausage sandwiches and 2 coffees to go!! £12.90 later our coffees arrived and to be fair were probably the highlight of the show. Not a very big cup, but OK none the less. We sat a while and waited for our food. The sausages are dreadful - very well seasoned but certainly haven't seen a pig! The hash browns which we added were definitely better! What a crying shame o have received such terrible service and food! This place should be excellent given its location, but I think it plays on the fact that it's the only place around and adds this on to prices! I wish we'd gone to the petroleum station a little further up - couldn't have been any worse and probably not as expensive!

We arrived here on 17/5/16 looks great from the outside, pulled into the car park near to the rear of the building and as we got out of the car our first encounter was of a very rude man shouting abuse at to chaps with dogs, one of the chaps did shout back (alright keep your hair on ) which was brilliant as he did not have any apart from a bit of fluff on his chin. This put me off but my partner was hungry so he went in to use the toilet and order, as he approached the toilet a vile man said the toilets are for customers my partner tried to tell a young girl that he was going to order food after he had been to which she replied (not my problem) this place could be so much better if it were closed and rebranded with professional managers and staff. We recently met up with friends here on Good Friday, to have a breakfast before we set off on our journey. It was absolutely packed, with holiday makers/bikers/ families etc , as you would expect on a bank holiday. Unfortunately, there was only one staff member cooking and one young waitress to be seen. They were working so hard to try & keep up with demand, but it was not physically possible. More staff were needed , but they were doing their absolute best. Unfortunately we didnt have the best experience. The coffee was awful , we did get them replaced, & we had such a long wait for bacon buns, if we hadnt paid, we would have left.We thought it rather pricey for what we received. Sorry, but we wouldnt return, but being familiar with the area, we know that it is very popular as a truck stop..which is what it is, not a 5☆ eatery.

Rude lady came out of the kitchen to shout that I couldn't walk my dog behind the front of the building which lots of other people were doing and there were no signs to say otherwise. Also it was only a big patch of rubble car park. It was rude the way she said it. Also they had no child's menu up but wouldn't do a small portion of other meals instead told us verbally what the child's menu was. Need to sort out their signs and menus. Hated this place it felt grubby and I couldn't wait to leave

I recently visited Barney's with a colleague and asked for the regular breakfast, but i wanted to swap the fried bread for toast (the breakfast comes with toast also), i was told this was not allowed and that the fried bread could be removed and extra toast could be served at a cost. I questioned this on the basis that they are the same thing only cooked differently, in fact the toast would probably be cheaper. I was told by the gentleman that he did not set the prices!!! where is the common sense.

As I travel every week from Louth all over the UK I go one of three ways every week. Ether Lincoln A46, Boston or M180. If I come this way I always stop on the Monday morning for breakfast, the food is great every time, never had an issue or much of a wait. The cafe is clean and the staff are friendly. The loos are clean too. Great little stop for breakfast :) would recommend to anyone

We called in here Sunday 5/07/15 early morning on our way to Skegness for a day trip. We were ravenous and looking forward to a full English breakfast to start our day off right. What a let down! How can you go wrong with a full English?! Let me tell you.... Firstly for two big full English breakfasts two teas and extra toast it came to just over £20 but we hoped it would be worth it. We sat and waited five minutes and it arrived, presentation was as you'd expect but the extra toast never arrived... Just one slice on each plate cut in half must equate to extra toast! You had two sausages, three slices of bacon, two eggs, beans, chopped tomatoes and half a slice of fried bread. The bacon was the most transparent fatty slices I had ever seen in my life! The sausages were just the cheapest of the cheap and full of black specks?! The beans were like bullets swimming in sauce, the chopped tomatoes were a mixture of ends and peels and the mushrooms were deep fried and totally unedible! We were both disgustingly disappointed! For the prices you pay you'd expect some sort of value for money but not here that's for sure!! We've had better breakfasts at Morrisons and that included 3hash browns as well as actual extra toast with tea and fruit juices for £5 less than here! It's not much to expect a decent breakfast from somewhere where demand for this kind of food will be high! Buck your ideas up and invest your customers cash in decent produce!

We were on our way to Skegness and stopped. Did not think it looked great from the outside but wanted to use the toilet and needed a drink and food. inside very clean . the staff cheerful , efficient and friendly. Well organised . We ordered set menu dishes but asked for variations , which were carried out pleasantly and exactly as we asked. Food was hot and tasty and the drinks hot and good. Price reasonable, could not ask for more . This is a transport cafe and was very busy. Had lots of truckers and lots of families on their way to the coast i would assume .

The best advice I can give you concerning this cafe is to drive right past it ,,can't comment on the food didn't get that far due to rude unhelpful staff and to be fair seemed overpriced I don't mind paying a little more for good service but after waiting for an age for food we ordered we made an enquiry as too how long it would be only to be told you can have a refund if you want no explanation no apology shocking service or lack of it I should say

Called in for late breakfast one Friday morning. Cafe was busy with both truckers, workers and families. Bit of a queue to place breakfast order. All food seemed to be cooked fresh and a lot looked home-made, pies, pasties, sausage rolls, scones etc. We had 2 lite breakfasts and 1 vegetarian. 1 tea, 1 coffee and a bottle of water. Cost £17. The lite breakfasts were very large and neither of us could finish them. The vegetarian they adopted for a vegan who polished it off. This is not a glam place, it is clean and well frequented by customers who like a good cafe. It doesn't pretend to be anything else. I liked it.

Exterior looking a bit shabby, tables not cleared soon enough, friendly and helpful staff, comfortable seats, but most importantly… after many years, there is now wi-fi. It works well, log-on is automatic and (so far) trouble free. No gluten-free except the usual sweet sicky plastic-wrapped brownie. But there is wi-fi.

I walked up to the counter and the two staff members just carried on talking about personal issues. No welcome. Eventually took our order. Toilet is grubby, no water out of the tap hot or cold. Come on Costa you can do better than this. Very poor experience.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Black Bull in East Holton, and I can't recommend it enough! From the moment we walked in, the staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The pub itself is charming, and I especially appreciated the dedicated restaurant area. It was quiet and peaceful, providing the perfect setting for a relaxing meal. The Christmas decorations added a lovely festive touch, making the experience even more special. Now, let's talk about the food – absolutely incredible! Every dish was freshly prepared with obvious care and attention to detail. The flavors were fantastic, and the quality of the ingredients was top-notch. It's clear that The Black Bull takes pride in serving delicious, home-cooked food. Overall, I had a wonderful experience at The Black Bull. The friendly staff, cozy atmosphere, and outstanding food make it a must-visit. Whether you're looking for a festive meal or simply a delicious dinner in a welcoming pub, The Black Bull is an excellent choice.
