Barn 1 Caldecott in Great Yarmouth

We attended at short notice with a large group for lunch. Accomodated our needs. Location and atmosphere was really chilled and nice. Staff very pleasant. Food was excellent and good value. Would return next time in the area.

VERY disappointing breakfast - the bacon looked, and tasted as though it had been reheated and dried out (and it was cold) - in fact the only thing that was hot on the plate were the sausages. This is not a cheap breakfast - a price we were not unhappy to pay - but with the poor quality of the way the food was presented and slow service, this breakfast represented terrible value for money. As you may expect, we won't be returning

Outstanding service throughout. Comfortable seating in a quiet area. Made to feel at ease as soon as we entered by " Angie". Brilliant menu and an amazing evening.....

Bingo with Gazza fantastic time great fun we laughed so much we cried. Girls weekend fun. At the Fairview lodges. We won £40.00 completely recommend.

Went for dinner twice and both times was gorgeous. Try the tomahawk pork, you won't regret it. Angie was wonderful and recommended a lovely wine, thank you.

Me and my family (a group of 11) booked in for a Mother’s Day lunch and the food/service was amazing from the beginning to end! The venue was beautiful and we warmly greeted by Gary who couldn’t do more for us! We all had the carvery was excellent, a proper home cooked meal with all the trimmings! We finished off with desserts that were so yummy too! Overall we were so impressed and can’t wait to come back!

Fantastic food , Having brought a place up near Barn 1 , we had heard from the regulars how great the food was on Barn 1. We had to try it for ourselves. Wasn't dissapionted The haddock is like a whale on a plate , it's certainly value for money . Can't wait to try the carvery

First visit, not sure I would return, no-one was around to guide us what to do or where to go, staff looked miserable, the man and lady serving the meat and veg so rude. Food soso, gammon very fatty, cauliflower cheese & carrots both rock hard. Maybe it was just an off day.

Our first time visit to Barn1 at Caldecott hall, and it’s definitely not going to be the last, both Dan and Gary greeted us , and made my family and myself very welcome, the restaurant area is lovely and not over crowded,we had a carvery and even before I had eaten a mouthful I just knew it was going to be the best carvery that I’d ever had, all the meats we’re cooked to perfection and very succulent, as was the vegetables, the whole experience of visiting somewhere different in my local area was amazing, if I could have given a higher green circle rating I most definitely would have, Well done Dan and Gary for making our visit special

Had a very nice meal last night. Fish & Chips. Food was good and staff were very welcoming and made it a pleasurable experience.

On the recommendation of my daughter who has been before, I visited Barn1 today for the first time and had the carvery along with all other family members (5 of us in all). I have to say that it was very nice indeed. Nicely cooked food, both meats and all the vegetable selection. Most excellent gravy and importantly it was all nice and hot. The staff were very friendly and attentive and explained everything to "first timers" like us. There is more than one carvery closer to where I live but this one is well worth the extra miles to get there. Will certainly visit again and would highly recommend it.

had an early birthday lunch today at Barn 1, the food was delicious. Been here many times for the carvery which is definitely the best in the area. Thought I'd try the new winter menu, light lunch warm chicken salad was amazing and had 50% off 🙂😋 will definitely be back here for lunch again soon. The fact that it is dog friendly too is great. I enjoyed a girlie lunch out without having to worry about my puppy as he came with me. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. 5 stars 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Incredible meal at Barn 1 Caldecott this evening tasting their new Winter Menu. Beautiful intimate setting, friendly helpful staff and the food was fault less. The menu had a very good variety and the Tomahawk pork steak was on another level and is an absolute must try! 10/10 by far the best meal we have had out - we will definitely be back soon. Thank you so much for a wonderful night!

We’ve been here a few times over the past year for meals and events and it’s honestly amazing. As soon as you walk through the door the staff just make you feel so welcome. Gary is so warm and friendly. The food is always second to none and the desserts are particularly lovely! I would recommend barn1 for breakfast, dinner and tea!! We’ve tried them all and they’ve all been exceptional.

I had a very small potted shrimp, then for the main l had salmon with a small potato a spring onion then a small amount of greenery thrown on. It is the first time that l left a table hungry. Not enough on my plate. No veg.

Fantastic service, food and atmosphere yet again. We swapped our booking to an earlier time, we arrive and were welcomed along with our 2 hounds! Food amazing, plates overflowing, a proper roast.

We have been here many times, once again we were here tonight for a family Birthday. The food was great and Gary was the best host as always. Thank you for a great meal!

Find it hard to write a review that could match how much we appreciate Emma, Dan and all the staff at barn1. Me and my now husband got married here on the 7th September and everything was perfect. All the staff went above and beyond for us.l, The bar staff were all friendly, we had a buffet bbq which was incredible and the 2 people serving that were also lovely. All the guest commented, many saying it was the best wedding food they had ever had, even going as far as putting it in our guest book. The day was more than I could have ever imagined, and that’s all down to the staff. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend barn 1 to others as they simply couldn’t have done more. Sunday we then finished it off with a breakfast at the retreat which again was incredible! Thank you Emma, Dan and all the team for making our wedding weekend the best it possibly could have been, we will forever be grateful for everything you did!

We went for quiz night and had a really lovely evening. Had food first and everything was so lovely. I love Barn1 and the staff are so friendly. Omg the desserts were honestly amazing and not like other places where you get a tiny little potion!

We stayed nearby in Caldecott Hall for a week so this place became our ‘go to’ place for dinner and drinks. We couldn’t have wished for a better on site pub/restaurant. Everything from the atmosphere, food and staff was spot on. We had the Sunday carvery which I couldn’t recommend more. We’re not usually fans of a Sunday carvery (they don’t get them right in Kent!) but this surpassed our expectations. The meat, home made yorkie and cauli cheese in particular was gorgeous. Afterwards, we went into the courtyard where the fabulous Neil Francis belted out a string of 80’s hits and show tunes. Thoroughly enjoyable afternoon! My son always had loads of room to run around in the spacious grounds and scoot around by the lake. The surroundings are absolutely stunning. Thank you to Gary, Dan and Emma that make this place what it is. See you in April 2025!
