Went for breakfast and despite 3 members of staff and only the ground floor open did not get served or even acknowledged by the staff. One guy seemed to prefer to stir a hot chocolate for 5 minutes rather than make eye contact. Eventually gave up and left wit still no acknowledgement. Not the first time this has happened so will never go again

Came for lunch after a run down to the beach with the dog. Staff were happy for us to sit outside with the dog and had a water bowl outside for her. Staff were friendly and accommodating and the food was a decent as ever. I had a club sandwich for 9 quid and my partner had nachos for 10. The club sandwich definitely offers the better value for money but both were delicious. My partner's only issue was the dips for the nachos were served in narrow topped bowls making it hard to scoop out with the nachos. All in all a great lunch and a reasonable price.

After a rubbish day, we headed to Morpeth for a walk and possibly a place to eat. Having walked past Bar Luga several times we eventually decided to call in this evening. Initially we just went in for a drink but after perusing the menu and being persuaded (in a nice way) by the waitress Jess, we decided to have some food. We ran a couple of food choices through Jess because of dietary requirements and looked forward to our meals. Drinks were brought to the table by Jess, who was looking after the whole of the bottom part of the premises without having to rush about. The food was excellent; we chose the seared hake and the Cumberland sausage. Both were very tasty and delivered to the table in a very good time. The atmosphere was pleasant with background music and people talking away. We will definitely be back and hopefully receive great service and good food again. Thank you to Jess who made our first visit an excellent one.

visited on a Friday at around 4pm. The upstairs was closed so we waited for a table to become available. The surroundings are pleasant and the menu is fairly unadventorous but what really let's this place down is the staff who either blank you or seem unable to smile, talk or even greet you. Can't complain about the Food, drinks or prices but such a shame about the service. Quite crowded around 5pm with lots of people waiting for a limited number of tables. Why they don't open up the upstairs restaurant until 6pm on a Friday seems like a strange decision

The traditional Sunday roast beef was truly delicious, very pink and very tender. Utterly delicious!! The accompanying veg was beautiful, the greenery was a la dente and gorgeous. All the food was worthy of a full 5 rating. Sadly I couldn't rate it that high, we were greeted by a maitre' d (woman) who was unfriendly, sharp, verging on officious!! I felt like we had been flung on it table with a snarl!! We were really happy with our table and as you can see the food was spectacular, the rest of the young staff were just ok, with exception of one young female waitress who was EXACTLY what I'd expect; friendly, professional, attentive without being over bearing. Her bosses and colleagues have a lot to learn from her. And just in case your wondering I don't know her from Adam... I was just impressed at her professional attitude.I've been going to Barluga since it opened and have never been disappointed with either the food, cocktails or staff. And whilst I wasn't disappointed as such, the experience wasn't as good as I have come to expect. Yes I'll go back again, but perhaps leave it a while in order that bit of customer service training be dished out to the 'senior' members of staff.

A member of staff came straight over as soon as we went in and showed us where we were sitting, swiftly followed by a lovely young waitress who took our drinks order. Got to say our party of 4 had a living social deal. Service was terrible. 3 of us ordered the steak 1 the burger. My steak slid around my mouth disgusting. We all had peppercorn sauce with steaks & when it was delivered we asked waiter what it was! We have never had peppercorn sauce served looking like gravy with carrots in it n maybe onion pieces? Peppercorn sauce is normally a creamy mushroom colour but barluga's was disgusting. Chunky chips were sweet. Very poor

Half price afternoon cocktails (with Fluid card), but too cold to sit outside. In the evening, the first 3 glasses of wine were accidently spilt by the waiter, all over my wife! It was not our fault, or his, really. After a quick decamp to another table and a bit of a dry-out, the drinks were re-delivered okay. Meals were very good. 2x glasses of Bellinni wine, mussels/ravioli starters then steak/sea bass main courses. Reduced price for the wine, which was good. Pleasant surroundings and décor, though it is rather dark. A lot of dark wood and white tiles giving a high contrast effect. Even the plates were black! It looks a bit like an upmarket Italian restaurant but the menu is ‘Classic British’. Because of the unexpected soaking, the drinks were ‘on the house’ and the lady’s jacket and blouse will require cleaning at their expense. (This was done and the claim was paid without any problems)Plus points – Excellent food and wine. Pleasant staff. Generally good service (apart from the mishap). Chic, modern surroundings, large restaurant. Well located in the Sanderson Arcade development. Close to bus station and main shopping area. Very pleasant to sit outside when fine and warm. Get the free ‘Fluid Group’ loyalty card for monthly offers.Minus points – It’s upstairs. Can be a bit noisy when busy, due to hard surfaces – wood floor etc. The elevator was out of action, but usually okay.

Another beautiful Sunday dinner at Barluga, this time had trio of meats and it was lush. I visited with a friend and we had a dinner each, a bottle of Prosecco between 2, a liquor coffee and 3 cocktails each. Our bill was £95 so no this place isn't cheap but that's why I save it for special occasions. We could go somewhere for half the price on a normal Sunday but it will be half as nice and not feel like a celebration. Keep up the good work you lot, I'll be back soon. Only downside is that they close early, they were closed by 10pm last Sunday.

Friends keep suggesting Bar Luga, but my last trip there finished me off. Menu has not changed for some time, does not do what it says on the tin. I ordered a black pudding starter, which when I sent it back to the kitchen was told that there was nothing wrong with it and the french black pudding and egg were supposed to be served cold. It does not say this on the menu.It took a challenging argument before it was agreed that I would not be charged. The other courses were delicious, but as I have worked my way through the menu with my friends, they will have to change it before I go back.

I had been looking forward to trying this restaurant for sometime - however there were some good and bad points to the evening. We were booked in for a meal at 7.30, the bar downstairs wasn't too busy, but it took ages to get served, (the bar staff were making cocktails,so that did slow it down - but only one member of staff on wasn't enough). I loved the style of the restaurant upstairs and it seemed to have a good atmosphere. The waitress came over quickly to take our order, then forgot to bring the drinks back to the table without us having to prompt her. When asked about a particular dish she didn't have a clue, and didn't offer to find out either! There were lots of dishes to choose from and we all decided on a starter and main course. I ordered haddock fish cakes, well that's what a thought I would get.... two mini haddock fish balls were what I got! Three of the four starters were very, very small, tasty enough, but too small. We all enjoyed our main courses, very tasty, not very big portions again though. We finished with coffees and a final round of drinks. Overall the food was nice; tasty, and reasonably priced - but the small portions didn't really make it good value for money. I won't rush back...but may be give it another chance at a lunchtime.

Melted Camembert was delicious but three of us shared easily so portion size was big. They have an excellent coffee/pudding choice. £4.95 for a coffee and small piece of sticky toffee pud or cheese cake. Perfect size if you just need a something small and sweet to finish with. Only down size is that the music is loud and everyone shouts to be heard so consequently it's a bit on the noisy side.

There are outside tables so on a good day it is a good place to stop for a coffee break or meal and watch the world go by. Coffee is excellent. I went here with a friend to have lunch - mussels are their speciality but they had none. So I opted for mackerel pate starter and a side order of chips as nothing in the mains appealed. My friend, who had also wanted mussels, ordered a fishfinger sandwich. The mackerel pate consisted of half a small slice of toast and two small scoops of pate with rocket leaves. The 'chips' were huge chunks, some of which were dark inside, like old potatoes. And they do not have vinegar and not enough salt cellars for each table. Sorry, they have balsamic vinegar. Obviously they think that is more upmarket. My friends fishfinger sandwich had thick bread with no butter so very dry and she could only pick out the fish to eat. Overall it was a very disappointing experience.

Lovely decor inside and I always enjoy walking through the door. The staff are very polite so i'm always optimistic when I sit down to eat. The food is decent if pricey, but I think the menu could be more extensive and less pretentious. Again on this occasion I felt my choice of food was compromised by, well a lack of choice. The times i've been in it has been pretty quiet so that probably adds to the feeling I usually get on the way out that somehow it has not lived up to its potential. Maybe next time!

We arrived at 1pm on Sunday for a family Sunday lunch. It was busy but not full.Children's menu choices were good, with the boy opting for mini burgers. My wife and I had a Sunday roast. I chose chicken. The food took nearly 50 minutes to arrive which is far too long. There was only a small amount of gravy provided.Mostly the food was okay, carrots were unwashed and gritty. Chicken portion was small but moist enough. Roast potatoes were dry. A lot of this wasn't helped by the lack of gravy. So, slow service, underwhelming food and expensive prices although the mini burgers seemed to go down well.I saw and heard service and food quality complaints from other tables too so it wasn't just us.Doubt I'll hurry back.

We were bitterly disappointed by our experience here! We had booked our table in advance for 8:30-8:45, when we arrived at 8:30 we were told our table would be ready in 5 minutes, we were happy to wait as we were rather excited for our family meal. After 10 minutes of waiting we were told we would have to wait a further 10 minutes, whilst waiting we had to stand rather compact, whilst serval staff muttered about us, which we did not find this was to customer satisfaction. After being told to wait a further 10 minutes, now leaving us 30-45 minutes late, we decided to leave. We understand saturday night is very busy and the man that spoke to us was very apologetic, however they should have told us it was too busy to fit us in. We shall not be coming back any time soon!

My partner took me here for my birthday recently, I've been before but he hadn't and I hoped he would like it as much as I did. We both had Sunday lunch, and as before my lunch was amazing, my partner really enjoyed his too. I did give him a small amount of my dinner as although the dinners are average sized he can put some food away and my plateful was more than enough for me. We stayed for a few drinks and I carried on working my way through the cocktail menu, they were all beautiful (singapore sling not for me though as it's far too sweet). My favourite drink is the Mayan mule, it's gorgeous. My slight downside is that I agree with some of the other comments about the wine, my glass of pinot grigio had a lovely flavour but it was served slightly on the cool side and within 10 minutes it was not far from room temperature. I know there'll be people out there thinking that wine is meant to be served cool and not cold but I prefer mine to be cold. The service was excellent again and the place has a good atmosphere, there was 'From Russia With Love' playing on the big screen this time and to me it all just adds to the feel of a nice day out.

Apon questioning the staff this was soon rectified.Drinks did take a long time to arrive at the table and a few people did have to ask a number of times. In all the meal was nice however the burger was extremely spicy which was not advertised in the description!!!I would return in a smaller group again to see if they manage to cope any better.

Unpretentious and very modern. Food was better than many establishments of the type and we wished we had found it earlier in our stay.

Barluga Deli in Morpeth is part of the Fluid Group who operate a number of establishments in the area and in particular Newcastle City centre. If I was to ever win the lottery and realise my ambition of opening my own food establishment, these guys would certainly get the call for their design services. They have a fantastic eye for quality and detail and Barluga Deli is no exception. Top marks for decor, and lest face it when entering a place for the first time its one of the things which makes you feel a place is right for you.I had been wanting to give this place a try for a while, but I had always either timed it wrong for (me to eat) food, or it being too busy, so on a recent Saturday morning we hit on perfect. There are two eating areas. One small area downstairs, and a much larger area upstairs (the provision of a lift is another plus point for those who find stairs difficult). We made our way upstairs and were seated very quickly. It was that sort of time between breakfast and lunch so it wasn't too busy, but I was delighted when I opened the menu to see they served their Barluga Breakfast all day. Easy decision. My wife opted for the Eggs Benedict, which is a favourite treat of hers. Two Cappuccino arrived very promptly and we didn't have long to wait for the food to arrive either. The breakfast was full of your usual fayre: bacon, egg, 2 bangers, black pudding, oven dried tomato, baked beans and two slices of toast. Now I have a thing about my baked beans touching my egg on a breakfast. I know I aint alone on that, but its one of my pet hates. Imagine my delight when the beans were presented on the plate in their own little dish. Top marks just for this!! Overall the breakfast plate was let down slightly by it having an overall dryness. I suspect it had been sitting on the pass under those hot lights a little to long, but didnt devalue my enjoyment of it. In addition the two slices of toast looked like they had just been waved at the toaster rather than spending any time under it. Accompanied by one small pat of butter, meant I had to request another one, which was forthcoming pronto. My wife's Eggs Benedict got the thumbs up from her. An English Muffin split and toasted (well I refer to my previous comments as the muffin too had only just flirted with the toaster), Parma Ham topped with two perfectly cooked Poached Eggs and Hollandaise Sauce. Her verdict was that it was one of the best she had had outside of New York. Praise indeed.Overall it ticked all the right boxes and there was enough on the menu for me wanting to return and try other items. The decor and ambience alone will ensure that.

Was not sure what to expect from living social deal i bought from the Internet but was surprised that this included any starter, main course or sweet from the menu. When booking table was asked to come in earlier than planned as there was a large table booking. This I felt wasn't really necessary as there was plenty staff on and lots of other empty tables. Had starter of prawns and steak and chips, which was very good. As per previous review felt the wine could have been cooler. Great cocktails and lovely atmosphere to enjoy them in. Definitely worth another visit.

Ate here on a quiet Monday evening and really can't fault it. Cocktails beforehand were lovely and a good choice of them. (Perhaps it might be a good addition to add a few non-alcoholic ones for those of us who are driving but don't just want a coke ...?) Then the meal upstairs was excellent. Good menu with lots of variety - and local produce too, an added bonus. All our party of four said how good their meals were and my venison was excellent, very tender and tasty. Staff very friendly and accommodating, esp when we'd taken in a special birthday cake to have with coffee. Nothing seemed too much trouble.Looking forward to a return visit.

We really enjoyed our recent meal at Barluga - great location and brilliantly decorated / furnished. The staff were very attentive and helpful, and our food and drinks arrived without delay. One of our party had a pasta dish, which was perhaps slightly overcooked, but other than that, a great dining experience and we would return.

Myself and a friend visited here recently for a late Sunday lunch. The restaurant is modern, tastefully decorated and it looks great as soon as you enter the building. The service was excellent from start to finish and they were all very professional whilst still friendly. I ordered beef and my friend chose pork, both dishes were lovely, it really was one of the best Sunday lunches I've ever had, (sorry mam!). After lunch we stayed for a few cocktails and although they are fairly pricey at £6.25 each they are worth every penny. There was a disney movie playing on a large screen for the children but this didn't spoil my experience at all, infact it gives the restaurant a nice homely, family feel. I intend to go back shortly as I enjoyed it so much.

it's over a month since we dined here...and are still having a laugh about it!Although we had a table booked inside, we started by sitting outside on one of the last warmish days of October. A taster plate was ordered to start....well, to be honest, we asked for "a bit of everything" from each of them. Now, for £16.95 we were expecting more than the 6 pieces of bread and cheese, a few oxo cube sized bits of meatloaf, some olives and dips that came. After questioning whether this was value for money, some meats were added.....tip....stick to the menu! While all this was going on we were brought the wrong white wine....twice.....and told what we had chosen from the menu was "new" and so would not be chilled....???So, another bottle was chosen and the "not chilled" wine was taken away....only for another waitress to appear less than a minute later with a chilled bottle of what we had originally chosen. Inside and upstairs for our main course....the food was pretty good, but two persons having mussels has to ask for a bowl to put the shells in....and some water....and so it went on.Our new waiter told us the manager had offered a discount due to the difficulties earlier, which was appreciated. Unfortunately when the bill arrived, there was none....until they were quietly reminded.

Went to Barluga last night with 3 friends, we've been loads of times since it opened & the staff & food have always been great. We always order a sharing platter to start & we've always mixed our choices from the 4 main platters on the menu because we all like different things, well until last night anyway! Apparently you can't do that anymore which is ridiculous because all the chef does is put 8 different items on a wooden platter & they offer all of them on the menu, but apparently 'the rules' have changed and they wouldn't be flexible about it despite not being particularly busy. When we complained the waitress just shrugged & said the chef said 'no'. We told her to tell him we weren't impressed & if that was his attitude we probably wouldn't bother coming back but despite this the manager didn't come over to appease us or explain/apologise. Our service thereafter was a little frosty & whilst the food was nice, it wasn't what we particularly wanted - don't think we'll bother again!!

We visited Barluga on a Saturday afternoon as part of a wedding party and were seated upstairs in the restaurant. Although there were quite a few of us the staff were very organised and efficient. For starters I had the glazed goat cheese and my partner had the soup of the day. They were both delicious and very filling. For his main my partner chose the braised blade of Northumbrian beef – he said that the meat was very tender and the meal was wholesome and tasty. Being a vegetarian I noticed that a lot of the options for us had Parmesan cheese on them – knowing that you cannot get vegetarian Parmesan I opted for the option of the French puff pastry tart with caramelised white balsamic onion and goats cheese because there was no mention of Parmesan being on it. Unfortunately when it arrived it was decorated in large flakes of it. I politely asked the waiter about it and took it away, returning a minute later to say that the chef said that the cheese was in fact vegetarian. Knowing that I was going to be visiting this restaurant I had previously contacted the restaurant about this and was told by one person that the Parmesan was vegetarian and by someone else that it wasn’t – being confused I therefore chose to avoid it. I picked off the cheese and left it on the side of my plate. The meal was very nice and tasty and presented very well. The staff were very good and attentive and came back regularly to check that everything was ok.There was an old movie playing on a giant screen inside the restaurant which added to the lovely cosy warm ambience of the place.I would thoroughly recommend this place and will certainly want to return but vegetarians be wary as I am still not convinced about the Parmesan cheese. The meals are a little on the expensive side but are worth it.

We visited Bar Luga on a Saturday evening, the atmosphere was electric and the restaurant extremely busy. This is one of many visits that we have made for a range of reasons from lunch to coffee to just a glass of wine, the venue is wonderful - just what Morpeth needs! On Saturday evening the staff went out of their way to make sure that everything went well, the waiter fully explained the menu and recommended dishes and discussed wines available, they were extremely friendly, polite and attentive which I can only say matches our previous experiences. The food did not disappoint both starters and main courses were well presented full of flavour and lived up to our expectations, we had a great night in fantastic surroundings attended to by a team of very polite and hard working staff

Orders taken from your table for drinks and food, the menu was varied and food arrived well presented, hot and VERY tasty with no long waiting!Cocktail happy hour, fantastic!!All together a great night, best thing to come to Morpeth for a long time!

When Bar Luga opened up in my home town it was a fantastic addition to the many bars and restaurants and didn't disappoint to provide a more classy and cosmopolitan eating /dining experience with excellent service. However I have visited twice this week and have seen a dramatic change. The lovely surroundings and atmosphere remain but the service has dropped dramatically. On arrival we weren't seated and sat for ages before having to ask for a menu. The food is very good but the portions tiny for the price. My friend and I spoke to the manager about this but felt that he insinuated that maybe we weren't used to fine dining!! If I pay for fine dining I expect the service and customer care of fine dining. I have a Fluid Group loyalty card which enabled me to have a half price bottle of wine but when the bill came I was charged full price and told that this offer was only available mon to thurs in Morpeth but available in Newcastle. On this occasion I could have it for half price even though I had checked before I ordered. Finally we had to wait a long time to pay. Lots of staff who were young but with very little direction. Maybe an investment should be made in employing more mature and experienced staff instead of 16 yr olds. However the new young man who served us was an utter delight. The manager a little less. I will go back as I would hate to lose this addition to the town but I think it needs to up its game as Shambles is hot on its heels with fab food at half the price. Maybe we will go there next time.

Second time I've been here for lunch on a visit to Morpeth and have been impressed both times .Nice funky bar downstairs and large comfortably-arranged restaurant upstairs [ though I'm not a fan of white tiles in eateries] which always has a buzz. Varied and watchable clientele, seems popular with groups of 'girls' doing lunch. From window tables you can look down on the open-air arcade area. Service has been excellent both times as has the food and drink, which from the lunch menu is very reasonably priced. Convenient for parking and shops.

As Bar Luga seems to have the monopoly in Morpeth, for bar and restaurants, we always tend to gravitate here. Since it opened my friends and I have enjoyed many a wonderful meal and celebrated numerous special occasions here. However in the last few months we have noticed a massive change, for instance we were in a few Saturdays ago and always arrive early prior to our booking as we like to have a drink in the bar, now there were 5 of us, and normally we would have table service, but the bar staff appeared far to busy cleaning glasses etc to serve us, so up to the bar we went, we asked to put the drinks on our meal bill but were told we couldnt. We then asked the waiter to carry our drinks up and were told they were understaffed so we carried ours up. The restaurant wasnt too busy but appeared chaotic, staff running everywhere, we were bumped into a few times en route to our table. No waiter appeared for a good 30mins, then when he did he didnt know what anything was... mouli?? Just said didnt have a clue. Anyway when the food eventually arrived it was lovely as usual. However I had the lamb and for £15.95 you would expect more than 2 tiny pieces of lamb. The menu appears limited and a bit more pricey, it is no longer a reasonable night out. Bar Luga has been our usual meeting point but im sorry to say its going drastically down hill. Really sad as it was so wonderful

Went recently for a meal with friends on a busy Saturday night-8pm. We were seated straight away, menus took a few minutes to come, as did a drinks order. I wanted a glass of house wine, which they'd already ran out of! Drinks took a while to come, which was understandable as everyone else in my party had ordered cocktails. The food also took a little longer than I'd expect to wait, we ordered two burgers and two curries-one with chicken and mine just with vegetables-if I'm honest it was a little bland. I had a taste of the burger too which frankly I've had better flavours from shop bought ones! The desserts had the look of cash and carry bought desserts-I had cheesecake which was ok but had an awful layer of what seemed like hardened jelly on top. For the price you pay I don't think the food if that great. We asked for the bill on finishing, waited 15minutes while chatting and still no bill, I had to go to the bar to ask for it, despite seeing staff standing around doing not a lot! I would never choose to go here personally, there are definitely better places to eat in Morpeth with more welcoming staff and better food!

A friend and I tried Barluga after another friend recommended it. The place is well decorated and is massive upstairs. We were seated away from other tables so we didn't feel too cramped. I had the New Yorker Taster plate and Tempura Prawns and my friend had the Seafood Taster plate and we shared a bowl of chunky chips. Both were served quickly and were really tasty. For dessert I had the Sticky Toffee Pudding and she had the Petit Fours and both were good. The service was first rate. With drinks my bill came to £34.00

After being disappointed with our last meal and reviewing it on 15th July, the restaurant tried hard to show they cared about their reputation. We made a return visit and there was a lot of effort put in to showing us how they could do better. So this time a four grading for attentive service; management overseeing; chef on site this time,; bread and olives provided; much better meals - mine was the thai veg curry and a superb lemon meringue dessert. The missing score is because I do not know if this level of service and food will be consistent.

Having eaten in Barluga in Morpeth a few times before, we decided to try their Sunday dinner. We arrived at about 4pm, their website says that Sunday dinner is available until 6pm.Things went wrong from the start. We waited by the 'please wait to be seated' sign. A lady eventually wandered over (potentially the manageress as she was dressed differently to the rest of the staff) and she told us to sit anywhere. Only a small thing but what's the point in waiting to be seated then??We sat waiting to be served and eventually gave up and ordered some drinks at the bar (the lady who eventually served us said the waiter was useless - professional!). When the drinks came over we asked the waitress for a food menu (not offered!) and for the dirty table to be cleaned. The waitress returned with the menu and explained that Sunday dinners were sold out!? A bit of veg and meat beyond planning?? Tip - there's a nice new Morrison's nearby.Because we were after a Sunday dinner we decided to leave, we got an apology but no offer to wipe the drinks bill - hardly great service.Ideally we'd have been asked if we were eating when shown to our table, and informed of the situation with the kitchen and it would have saved everyone time.We have eaten and had enjoyable experiences in Barluga restaurants in both Morpeth and Newcastle, but luckily there are plenty of decent restaurants nearby - we won't be back.Had a great meal at Marbini's with the usual great service instead, happy days.

Husband and I dined here on Friday night. The service was really good, mostly by very young staff, but obviously well trained and very pleasant. Food was good but a little on the expensive side we thought. There is at least one other resaurant in town that . matches this and in our opinion exceeds at not quite the same expense. I had the same main course and the other restaurant definately produced the better dish. We enjoyed our evening nevertheless but will not be rushing back.

We had an excellent lunch there today. The roast beef in the baguette was the thickest I have ever seen in a sandwich and the accompanying salad, potatoes and coleslaw were all gorgeous. The only slight disappointment was it was listed under the hot sandwich section but came cold. When I asked why they said the panini and ciabatta versions come hot but the baguette one doesn't. The waitress apologised. That didn't reduce my enjoyment of the meal though. We have always found the service really good too.

I visited the hotel only for a night due to a meeting I had to attend the following day in the town. The location of the hotel was perfect just opposite the train station and the person at the reception was very friendly. As I arrived just before 9 pm I questioned if the restaurant was still open in order to have some dinner but they informed me that restaurant closed at 19.30?! I thought it is too early and I had never experienced it in any other hotel. Once I joined the room there was a funny smell coming out from the bathroom and the room was super cold even though the heating was slightly on. Especially inside the bathroom I was freezing so I had to take a shower very quickly and jump inside the bed in order to warm up myself which isn’t very relaxing after hours of travelling. Lastly the following day even though my company’s reservation was breakfast included, in the morning I had been given the choice of complimentary breakfast only which was very very limited. Not even to mention that the check out was 10 am and the cleaners were speaking loudly outside of my room since 9 am stressing me out while just 5 minutes before 10 am I heard them saying “come on people 10 am is the checking out time” which I can definitely say it is not the way any hotel should perform. Overall it was a disappointing visit and I would never come back.

Its a shame the pub isn't open at lunchtime, but the owner did explain he can't get the staff or chefs. The area desperately needs a pub open at lunchtime, even although 1st Nov is considered "out of season" (the three surrounding caravan parks were all still busy). Very friendly owner, good beer, didn't sample the food in the evening. There aren't really any "cosy nooks" - it seems arranged for busy summer meal times. Dog friendly too.
