Good fish and chips at a reasonable price Fish was well cooked with good batter, chips were good size and cooked well. Service was average

Would give 0 stars if I could..we have lived on barkers since way before this fisheries was here and what can I say..it gets worse year by year! Got fish and chips after a long day at work for it to taste stale and old chips that were refried! Spent nearly £40 for all mine and my familys evening tea for it to be a complete disappointment.! Called to complain in which I had to go back to the takeaway ..only for them to give me the same fish and swap the chips!! The batter on fish was barely there and was more grease than anything else...Curry sauce used to be one of their popular sauces and even that has been watered down to death!! Didnt even get an apology or refund and caused us such inconvenience.. Who on earth wants to bother with all this plava after a long day at work?!!! Stay away... looks like we will be tryin leeds road fisheries from now on!!

Horrible attitude by the man on the phone pizza was missed very arrogant said ring uber I gave the pizza when clearly it wasn't revived a £50 plus order wouldn't ring and say don't have however it was refunded by uber the pizza but the guy on the phone needs to calm down he has zero customer service skills seems like just come of a banana boat straight to work here idiot

Where do I start… I live just around the corner from this so called “fish n chips” quality 0/10 picked up fr the third time in month n all I could say it gets worse each time… just complete waste of money… dried out food as it’s been out for to long… overpriced!!!!

Called in this afternoon for grab couple of cheese burger the guy preparing my burgers had a cold was coughing in his hands and sticking his finger in his ear to scratch and then touching the buns and burger..I called another colleague of his over and told him that he needs to learn the very basic of hygiene.absolutely disgusting I cancelled my order and gone to park fisheries a lot better hygiene here as I have used them on number of times in the past!

It's not the worst chippy I've been to but it's a damnd sight better than peel park chip shop who try to sell you half a fish with your fish and chips and then make a big thing out of giving you the other half free,,,?? but that's as I found if you are the right nationality,, I'm English and believe me being on the receiving end of racism is not a great feeling!!! Nice but Bolton junction would out do any fish and chips shop in the Bradford district 10 out of 10 from me the owners are totally friendly and professional the food is served all way's piping hot and always fresh everyday another 10 out of 10 from me again

Late. Almost 2 hours late, food was like it had been reheated and admittedly it was edible but only because of how hungry we were, considered cancelling several times. Wouldn't recommend unless ur gonna walk in and get it and probably won't get from here again. Phoned to ask where order was, guy on phone took no details, just said order was on the way and hung up

Not our fault uber got it wrong on their website but they were rude not rational and were abusive to my wife without a knowledge no1 is at fault but typest error

Their charge 3 pound for a small portion of chips which they give you rotten black over cooked chips wich are not suitable

I feel so bad doing this but ... Im sorry Barkerend Fisheries but I will have to change my 5 star to 1. Ordered Donner Meat and Chips with 2 Tubs of Sauce... I was charged 7.65. What the extra 75p was for I do not know ... however I was not going to make a fuss over this. The price was ridiculous as it is. But 1.20 for a tub of sauce... is a joke. I've been coming here ever since I was a child... and it was one of the shops in the community you'd feel proud of. Now... the food doesn't taste as fresh and I have come across this one too many times now. Safe to say... this was last ever visit here... I say that with great difficulty. Gutted.

Extremely disappointed with the food this evening, some of our order was missing and the portion was shockingly reduced. The peri burger was tasteless and the full chicken dry.

Not happy being short changed, always by the same person, definitely needs sorting out, ok although by a bit, but it's the principal! Last time bought a full chicken on its own & got charged £11. Today 2 cheese burger meals, 1 cheese burger & chips & 2 scollops, the same guy charged me £14.88. out of curiosity I thought would check the menu online & it states 2 cheese burger meals £3.99 each, 1 cheese burger & chips £3.50 & 2 scollops £0.99 each, so total should of been £13.46!!! Ps the scollops were not cooked and the guy had a problem with customer service, as when asked for sauce on the chips, apparently it was to much to ask! It's always the same guy short changing, guys please check your change at the shop and ask the prices!!!

The fish and chips was fine, I got intouch with just eat about the mushy peas, they refunded me £1.20 but was not the point I was trying to make they was a health hazard, they was litrally neon green and smelt so bad I threw up i sent pictures to there Facebook they looked and never replied, I'm glad I smell food before I taste, or give them to my child, I have no idea what was in that but its smelt as if something had died for months in that tub, I'm so disgusted you could even send that to someone, I didn't even taste them and I threw up, imagine if I'd actually ate them, The mushy peas litrally looked like they'd put neon slime in there with oil and peas. Avoid! Health hazard that was I feel sick looking at the pictures I did.. luckily im viral on tiktok and so are your peas. Very very slack staff members food was ready and had me waiting over 5mins and then they realised my food was already ready. When confronted staff member didn't know what to say and I was quite annoyed.

Ordered 3 fish and chips. We were all very disappointed. We've known them since early 90s. From all of the potions the chips were either over cookers or under cooked they weren't properly cooked. The fish on the other hand, where do I start? Absolutely disappointed and it was ridiculous. The fish that we got was skinner than a stick (it's liget was) or shall I say what fish? I mean batter. Had no clean fish on it, it had the scales on this fish and the fish was filled with black stuff. There was only one clean fish in one of the portions or shall I say the fish was only 1/3 of the whole meal. The fish batter was hard and came off the fish straight away. Paid £6.50 for each meal and totally WASN'T worth it. They also might be deaf..... Or they just don't concentrate on what your saying. (I'm surprised they got my order right (well some of it) but u am still disappointed)I told them I would like 3 mint sauce and ended up with 1 curry sauce. Absolutely disappointed with that due to I paid for 3 mint sauces and didn't didn't get one. The customer service was alright (that's why they deserve one star) but overall horrible food.

Ordered 2 large fish and chips. Came pretty quickly... Now I know why. The chips were undercooked, like, alot. Fish was cooked, however cold and soggy. 1 unhappy child and 1 unhappy 4.5month pregnant Mrs CHECK. Will not be ordering here again and will recommend others follow.

Very expensive fish in Bradford and quality and taste is terrible. Avoid if possible. The crust is very hard. If they are selling it more expensive then other then the quality have to be better.

I left a review on Just Eat and the management have absolutely proved my point of their diabolical unprofessionalism with their reply to my review. Have a read for yourselves. Your management is a laughing stock. Be prepared for negative reviews if you're a business without feeling the need to take things to heart. I would never usually leave a negative review but in that initial case there was no other way to go about it and now you guys have really just gone and proven the need for this review.

This place was once quite good. Now it's highly overpriced and extremely poor quality. Fish and chips are really expensive for the quality you get and are full to the brim with oil and always soggy. Total waste of £15. These fish and chips are one the worst I've come across and extremely unhealthy. Proper fish and chips are never soggy or full.of oil. Customer service is non existant.

Went in wearing a mask (I was the only 1 in there wearing 1 at the time, including the staff). Guy behind counter actually said to me, "you don't need to wear that in here" and proceeded to go on a rant about how Covid is fake and we've all been brainwashed, etc etc. The said guy then proceeded to ignore me and serve 5 other people just coming into the shop in front of me. I walked out. Absolutely disgusting behaviour. I have family members that have been seriously ill from Covid. I came in for chips, not a political debate. I had visited the shop a couple of times previously before, but after this I definitely won't be going back in. Muppets.

Food took a while to arrive, but when came(fish and chips, burgers and garlic bread and pizza) the garlic bread was cold the burgers, chips and pizza were lovely but despite asking for sauces to be kept separate there was mayonnaise and ketchup added all over the fish which resulted in my son refusing to eat it.

The man at the counter was absolutely unprofessional, had a go at me because I came a bit late to collect my food, due to traffic. I then wrote and honest review online and there response was ‘we would be grateful if you didn’t order from us again’. I’ve also Been running a chip shop for 15+ years and know what a quality fish is. But this by far has to be the worst place I’ve been to. Worst food and worst service. No point staying open if the standards are well low! Never will I go again or recommend anyone going.

Order over the phone for a pick up. They said 10 minutes, I came there 10 minutes later, they said 10 minutes more. I told them forget it. They had even start on my order.

I have always been buying food from here , I have no complaint with the food, but I have a complaint with the handling of the food , I came this week and ordered , firstly not everyone was wearing face masks or gloves , the guy behind the serving counter touched his face then touched the burger and chips , hygiene should be the first priority in this crucial time. Otherwise I have no complaint with the food. Please have strict hygiene guidelines in place.

I visit barkerend fisheries on duckworth lane nd on barkerend road on regular occasion. I have to admit they have amazing food,great customer service and the mint sauce is to die for.

First of all I must put across the service were great. The workers really did a top job of cooking, packing and giving the food so I'd defo give this place a 5☆ & also very delicious food!! Best chippy in Bradford

The food came 2 and half hours late after 1 hour rang to be told on way, tried to call multiple times and call rejected and despite being td I would receive a refund after refusing to accept the cold food I never received it! Absolutely shocking service took my £14.58 so had no money left to order from elsewhere.

Its one of them places where you should collect your food from. Their delivery seems to have bad notes but i can tell you, their food isn’t bad ... full grilled chicken is amazing! Burgers aren’t special but the fried chicken is flavoursome. The fish is good, definitely a crispy batter you should have fresh with their amazing curry sauce. The donner is your usual bog standard kebab lol. Pizzas are decent for their price.. good enough for parties n kids but if u wana really enjoy your pizza, stick to Mahmoods, Pizza Milano, the firehouse etc.... basically, stick to fish and chips and the grilled options at this place - you won’t be disappointed insha allah.

Ordered food tonight from Barkerend Fisheries’s via Just Eat. Was advised on the app that my order would take 1 hour to deliver, was happy to wait that long. 2 hours later and still my order didn’t arrive. Called the take away and they said the driver just left! Won’t be ordering food from here again! Doubt Barkerend Fisheries even read these reviews?

I buy masala fish from this takeaway every now and then. It is a bit spicy but I love the way they make it. I never tried anything else from this takeaway so my review is based on just one dish. Recommended place for masla fish.

Really tasty grill items,i have been a couple of times,i will definitely go again.The kebabs are so good and the staff are friendly,the place is clean.There is also parking directly outside as well.The meals are large enough to make two meals from,if you want a snack.Thanks for a great dinner

Food quality poor, donner kebab was very dry. They do not give you change when it's a penny. Quantity is dependent on who serves you. I was disappointed with the service I experienced. Won't be going again.

One of my favourite fast food takeaways in Bradford 3. Variety of delicious food to choose from. I have plenty of favourites here. The friend chicken is awesome will give KFC a run for its money. There donner meat with chips, salad, mint sauce, and, chilli sauce is a delight.

Wanted to place an order and get it delivered and when asked how long it would take them to deliver they said 1.5 hours despite being a Sunday evening.Whats the point of doing deliveries if you going to take hours getting the product to the customer.So we asked how long it would take for collection and they said 10-15 mins so we ordered. The food is low quality,slow customer service and when I asked to put sauces on food the worker put it himself when I wanted to do so myself as a customer. They are really stingy and rip off for the prices they charge. Burn't chips too.
