Customer friendly nice place to have a cupper and some cake . This is not the first time I have being here , when ever I go to the town I always try to go and have a cupper here.

This cafe is a fantastic place to grab a nice drink and fresh lunch! But also provide friendly customer service and atmosphere.

Wow, this has got to be the best coffee shop Swindon has to offer. The coffee is exceptionally good and as for the pastries!!! A truly relaxing, friendly and very affordable cafe.

Really lovely break, with porridge & coffee, lovely staff, great ambience. Soothing mix of music not too loud, thought provoking wall art. I was a bit hesitant at first, there's a lot of posters & a polished concrete floor. A long way from Costa or Starbucks. Which is perfect. Thanks And if course a clean accessible toilet

Quirky local arts Cafe on Commercial Road, Swindon, a quick wander from the town centre. Friendly, but not over friendly service 😄. Nice cakes and a sandwiches menu. Great selection of cat themed art on the walls.

Was in Swindon for day and needed somewhere to sit and get on with things for a couple of hours. This was independent and highly rated and absolutely worth it. Relaxed, friendly, excellent coffee, generous sandwich with free choice of fillings for lunch, really competitive prices. Also best selection of music I've heard in a cafe for years. If I lived in Swindon I'd come here all the time.

Tasty food, good coffee and friendly service received today. We popped in for a light lunch with our pooch. We were all made welcome. The food was quickly turned around, fresh and delicious. It was a lovely discovery and also great to be out of the rain :)

By far the best place to stop if you're in town. Good value, great service, friendly customers, toasty warm and... Amazing coffee. I only drink black coffee and they never burn the beans and it's really smooth.

This super friendly locally run cafe is so much nicer than those predictable big chains. We looked at the near perfect reviews - and of course, read the single bad review first. It's only criticism seemed to be that they let in dogs. Since we were out of towners killing time before dropping our dog off for surgery, that was actually the selling point. What we got was an absolutely delicious breakfast with generous portions and friendly chat from the owners. A totally enjoyable experience all round. Would recommend.

We are so fortunate to have this place just a few minutes walking from home. Really good cofee, great ambience, friendly owner. Love this place and will continue to visit.

Excellent & Quality ingredients! For an exquisite Sourdough Roll with fillings that included Chorizo, Pepperoni, Salami, Chedder cheese, Gherkins and Pickle (there was 2 or 3 more fillings on the menu & I bet they wouldve gave me them all if I asked! 🏆) Compare that to a chain like Subway and I would've been paying double that for half the quality. Nice place. Cozy. Glad I tried it! Next I'll be sampling their Porridge menu that boasts a choice that included Peanut Butter and Caramel! Yummy!

Moved to Swindon 1 week ago and I have been here 4 times! Mostly got coffees but once for breakfast, and oh my word it is fabulous. Beautiful coffee, smooth and intense as I like it. Breakfast was lovey fresh food and so flavoursome. It is an absolute diamond in the rough. Go go go!

What amazing owners/Managers greet you when you go to get your cuppa or baked potato! etc. Could not fault the cleanliness and commitment to Covid safety that has been put in place. Wishing you could be open now......missing my Jade special. Swindon needs this place. Their role in the community is outstanding. Signing up for the 'buy an extra cuppa for someone' is so caring. Love this superb little cafe. Great mostly cat-themed artwork around the walls, great food and drink, no actual cats (which is a very good thing for me). Marcus, the owner, is really friendly and helpful. Great community work, suspended coffee scheme. We had a lovely breakfast here this morning. So glad they are open again - Ireally missed this place during lockdown.

Discovered this little gem of a place sometime ago and it's delivered on quality everytime. Their peanut butter caramel porridge, paninis, hot chocolate and chocolate orange cake are absolute winners. Lovely owners too! We definitely recommend this place. They're honestly much better than any other cafe we've visited in Swindon (and even in the surrounding areas to be fair). Highly recommend!

This is a lovely cafe. A great range of savoury and sweet food, and hot and cold drinks. Vegan and gluten free diets also catered for. Friendly staff and a comfortable environment (I love the artwork from local artists - most of it inspired by felines of one form or another!) I always feel comfortable here, whether visiting with others or on my own.

A first class independent venue run by a lovely band of locals. A warm welcome, excellent service topped by good food and a huge range of drinks. So much nicer than a chain coffee shop!

I visited this delightful café for a coffee and llunch. I was very happy with the service, the food and the ambience. The soup was delicious and homemade, served with great slices of fresh wholemeal bread. The prices are very reasonable too. I was comfortable in the warm café on a cold November day. It’s an interesting place which I can recommend!

We wanted a cup of tea and light lunch before booking into our Hotel so looked on Tripadvisor and this cafe came up as being the No1, we were not disappointed! Very helpful , cheerful staff, great atmosphere and lovely food. We had the fresh sourdough rolls with a variety of fresh fillings- superb big cups of tea. Its obviously the place to go, with all ages enjoying the experience. 10/10

Hardly a day goes by when I don’t visit with my partner or family. They have always been warm and friendly and the porridge is awesome!! We even take our dogs or puppies in occasionally who are equally welcomed. Love this place.

This is the 1st time I've ever written a second review.I was messaged by a friend that i hadn't meet up with for a while and his 1st suggestion was a coffee and porride at Baristocats:that's how good this place is, how memorable. The owners are always welcoming, so friendly and genuinely happy and chatty. It really does knock all the other cafes out of the park on service, quality, range and price.Go and try, you won't regret it.

We try to visit as often as we can. High street chains and other famous indepedents are no match for their paninis or porridges. Always a joy to come!

Never a disappointment, always a comfy and welcoming place. Puts other establishments to shame (Costa, Starbucks, Nero, Triple Two, Coffee#1) - food at Baristocats is *infinitely* better tasting and yet cheaper. Shame they aren't open Sundays because that Peanut Butter and Caramel porridge is a perfect distraction from the dread that is Monday.

Whilst in town at a loose end, a friend had made a recommendation about Baristocats on Commercial Road in Swindon, so being at a loose end i thought i'd give it a go.

I discovered this café fairly recently and have already been a few times as it is really very good. The food and drinks are delicious, always fresh, everyone is very friendly, there’s nice art on the walls and good music being played, and you can even recycle your empty crisp packets there! It’s my favourite café in Swindon, I really recommend it.

Great review so was interested to visit, disappointed. Visited with friends and found the service to be very slow plus dogs were in the café which created a smell. If this was an out of town venue that would be fine but not in the centre. Fresh bread was bought in form supermarket and cooked which I could do at home. On a positive can see this is a family run venue which is refreshing. Sorry for criticism but this is an honest personal review.

We came here today on the off chance as our usual place was closed....and it's safe to say this may now become our usual place! What a gem. Affordable, friendly and such a nice atmopshere. It was nice to have a proper decent sized cup of tea! We also had food and were amazed by it- everything is made to order and there's such a wide choice; could not fault it in anyway. I know I missed the obvious but what I loved the most was the cat decor...It was EVERYWHERE. Great to see them supporting local artists too and the suspended coffee scheme is such a wonderful idea.

It’s always a pleasure to pop in to Baristocats whether it’s for a take out coffee or a sit down coffee & cake with friends. The cheese & pickle baps are a must! There’s a real sense of community which the owners work tirelessly to deliver.

I was luckily introduced to this cafe by my friend last year. The owners are really friendly. The latte with almond syrup I always have is always made really well.I think they are made much better than Costa. I was always a Costa fan for years.

I was introduced to this lovely cafe by a friend today. The owners are welcoming and friendly. The mocha I had was very well made. The milk was steamed to perfection and the coffee to chocolate ratio was just right. The mug was massive too!

This review is a little late but last month I was in Swindon visiting with my other half when I had the urge for some little coffee shop time. Looked up this place and saw the glowing reviews and wanted to give it a try. It was a 6 mile round trip and i can say the 1 hour or so we spent here was delightful and well worth the walk. Good coffee at such a fair price, staff were friendly and the art work and decor was lovely like a little art exhibit. If i'm ever that way again ill be back.

Owned by Marcus and Tracy, this cafe is a delight. The coffee and panini were really good, the service was efficient and very friendly. We had a chat about all the amazing original paintings (mostly cats - but even if you're not a cat person look out for the feline album covers) on display in their cafe. I'll go back; this place has art and heart.

I found this place by chance, lovely chilled atmosphere with friendly staff. Feels homely and the chai latte is wonderful. Beats Costa or caffe nero anytime .

We've been here a few times & only just realised we can write a review. It's great to be able to say how fab it is in here & to encourage people to visit. The coffee is great. There's a wide range of shakes. We love the paninis. In the colder weather they make a yummy soup. It's a really super clean bright cat decorated flunky space but the best thing is the super friendly welcome you get every time you visit plus there's boardgaames & Wi-Fi.

Great place to go. It's in commercial road Swindon. I have been coming for a long time. All the other cafes are not great on customer service. When I go in it's a family atmosphere. And the walls are with cats. Which I love. Everyone should come to Swindon just to VISIT BARISTOCATS

Nearly walked past but glad I didn't, fancied a quick coffee and a bite to eat and what a lovely welcome. Very friendly staff who I would assume were the owners, very nice coffee and crumpets, the decor is very nice and music in the background was great, think I've found my new fav coffee house.

This has to be one of the friendliest cafes in Swindon. If you love cats you'll stay all day. If you love dogs take yours with you. It's quirky and really good value.

I have been a regular visitor to this establishment since my wife started working near by. It has a pleasant ambience with a good mix of people ( and (well behaved) dogs occasionally).The coffee is far and away better than the mundane high street chain fodder. I am slowly working my way through their menu and have not been disappointed yet. The decor is.... well...cats...lots of them; in art form i hasten to add, from paintings to good old classic album covers that have been doctored. I keep spotting new ones every time i go in.This brings me lastly , but not leastly to the owners Tracey,Marcus with Charmaine making up the very friendly and helpful family trio. Give it a go. You won't be disappointed. As a footnote, they also do suspended coffees, which is a very nice touch.

I love this place. When in Swindon town centre I wont go anywhere else. The coffee really is the best around. I am self employed so i know what goes into a business and how you want it to work for your clientele, they've hit the nail on the head... When I am meeting with clients I often take them to Baristocats, as an excuse for a coffee for me, and am always told that its a great coffee, they wish they lived closer to Baristocats.

Great cafe and value for money and I really like the layout very posh � will definitely come here again. The desserts they sell are delicious such as chocolate orange cake and the banana cake is lush � I regularly attend this cafe because the staff are so friendly and I don’t have a panic attack

I visit this place once a week and I am never let down. The food is incredible and there is always a different homemade cake available. The cake is delicious every time. The staff are very friendly.I would definitely recommend!

I have visited this lovely family business several times since it opened. Every time the atmosphere has been peaceful, happy and the people friendly even when it's busy. Baristocats is a quirky and interesting venue. Each time I visit there is more to see because it is a display area for local artists and everything is focused on cats - of all sorts. The family - Dad, Mum and Daughter - are delightful and always welcoming. The food and drinks are fresh and tasty. They are equally beautifully presented. What caught my eye the other day was a beautiful, pumpkin coloured, orange cake covered with dark chocolate - an absolute feast for the eyes - but I restrained myself in the interest of my post Christmas hips. The hot chocolate was, perhaps, the best I have ever tasted. Baristocats can hold its own with the top London establishments. There is a large municipal car park just behind Baristocrats off Commercial Road via Granville Street. Well behaved animals are welcome.

I have known about this cafe for sometime but have not been able to visit due to one thing and another!! BUT managed to arrange a girlie lunch with my nieces, mum and mum-in-law for a pre Christmas lunch!
