Birthday treat excellent service and excellent food 😋

Service was spot on, however the food… Very bland, nothing special. House food quality for very big price. Wont be returning

Lucky to live so near to this fabulous restaurant. Highly recommend. The pasta is the best in the area.

Firstly the food is exceptional tasting, the venue is gorgeous weve been at least 10 times but we went today and the portions were literally half the size the normally are, I had a prawn salad and it was tiny, not great value for money unfortunately today, hope they return to the regular plates as the little bowls aren't great

What FANTASTIC FOOD! The staff were so attentive and efficient. My only issue was that the acoustics were terrible. Thus, it was really difficult to have a conversation. To have such big windows made the space very warm, and they really needed a clean. These small issues could be dealt with easily. I enjoyed the menus on printed paper, clean! This might have been a temporary thing. However, there is nothing worse than sticking over used menus! We will absolutely be returning!

Book ahead to avoid disappointment. This is a busy place for a reason. The food is always excellent and the portions so good, that I can't always manage a dessert! The staff are efficient and good natured even though they are busy. I just wish it was nearer to where I live...

We visited here as friends for a catch up, my first time visiting. What a beautiful restaurant! Very friendly staff (although a little slow sometimes, and not very busy when we visited). The food though was amazing - so fresh and tasty! Really enjoyed our visit and I will definitely return. The chicken and mushroom penne was to die for! Beautiful desserts as well. Very clean and pleasant atmosphere. My only qualm was that we were seated by the window and there are no blinds or window shades - so the sun was in our eyes the entire meal. But still, will definitely be back! Thank you 😃 🍝

Amazing main courses - sublime taste . really great side salad. the chef will tailor dishes to your taste eg leave out chilli etc. Definitely a place to go back to pudding choice was sadly rather unimaginative, with no lighter options and a lack of fruit on the pavlova . Music intrusive ,you go out to chat over a delicious meal, not have to strain to hear what is being said and other people having to speak loudly adding to the overall noiseyness .

The food was very good but the service was appalling. The waitresses were rude and we felt ignored most of the time so much so we gave up waiting for them to take our dessert order, paid and left. We're never going back.

Very quiet when visited as dined early & fairly small premises so atmosphere probably not as good as it would be later, but the service was very friendly & efficient. Very nice food.... Meatball pasta dish was v tasty & so was cheesecake dessert. Overall would definitely revisit.

1st visit and wasn't disappointed, Popped in for lunch and we had the linguine carbonate and the prawn and chorizo risotto. Both were delicious

Our favourite restaurant, for all the right reasons! We have been enjoying this wonderful place for a couple of years now, and our visit last night was as exceptional as always. The food is just sensational; superb produce cooked and prepared by chefs who clearly love their craft. The service and atmosphere match up to the food beautifully. The added extra is the friendly owner who takes time to speak to his patrons. My only concern about writing such an excellent review, is that it will be even harder to get a table at this gem 💎

The decor was lovely. There was a selection of different cakes on offer. A nice little place to stop off for coffee and cake.

Croque madame X 2 for my friend's birthday brunch were fabulous, what a treat and lovely staff, very attentive and smiley. If there was an issue at all, it can be a little noisy, but the whole meeting friends there to eat and chat in modern comfortable surroundings is great.

EDIT DECEMBER 2022: visited Bardolinos for my birthday again, back with mum and dad but also my husband and two sons came. We all have such different tastes food wise and you managed to fulfil all our tastes! My 18yr old (the one knocking the Estrella back and watching the England game on his phone 🥴) described the fillet steak burger as "banging" and my youngest who is 15 loved the ribs and chocolate orange dessert. Its not easy to please two teenagers but you managed it so thank you! My personal highlight was the chef ripping down all the England flags in the kitchen after the final whistle of the game 🤣 Waiting staff: most were lovely but one let the team down as she was moody and not personable - we honestly thought she was on the verge of actually throwing our food at us! 🤣🙈 Maybe she was hungover bless her, but apart from her your team is lovely, food amazing and will definitely be back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5* again Thank you again xx DECEMBER 2021: visited Bardolinos for the first time today for my birthday with my mum and dad. Service was perfect - all the staff were smiling. friendly and welcoming. Food was ok. No lasagne in an Italian restaurant left at 2pm a surprise.

I don't know what happened on the day we visited two young girls serving and I don't know if it was because we came in at 2,15 but both girls were extremely rude, think they were hoping to get off home. And we came in. Be nice to have some older experienced staff instead of 2 silly young girls who think the world owes them a living

Very nice main meal cooked by real people who you can see cooking if you are in the right place or have the interest to look. Excellent staff who are very helpful and know the menu, have opinions, which are worth asking and are efficient and friendly without being intrusive. I have passed this place since it opened most working days without trying it. Having retired, I was able to try it at lunchtime, having the time for the first time. Really enjoyed it and will most likely be going back soon. Forgot to add. Don't have too much for lunch. Take a look at the cakes!

Absolutely lovely place, clean, friendly and fast service. Food cooked to perfection. The waitress was helpful and informative about food and the desserts were spectacular. Took a friend as a thankyou with my husband and she was overwhelmed Thankyou

As first timers we were sceptical but my favourite saying is the devil's in the detail...Read the menu properly and you do uncover some jems but usually must find them jourselfe they are waiting for you.

I've been to Bardolinos many times for lunch .. always good service with friendly staff and food which is usually good but could be SO much better ..... I DO wish the ciabbata was authentic.. it's really not great, close and cakey texture.. On my last visit I had the cod loin special on red pesto tagliatelle(?).. the fish was dry, massively over cooked, as was the pasta which had clearly been standing around, tacky and quite unpleasant.. I think the menu really needs a bit of an 'up lift' .. and cooking with more attention to detail , fresh crisp flavours and less fat all round ... it really wouldn't take much to make this the best Italian for miles around ...

Lovely friendly place with great service and food was amazing

Went as a party of ten, pre ordered food when booked, food was delicious and staff were fab. We arrived a bit early and got our drinks, but there is nowhere to sit and wait until your table is ready. Also if there is a desert you like in the display reserve it as they are soon snapped up.

Probably the worst lasagne ever . Menu was poor so thought cant go wrong with lasagne . It was burnt very sweet and mushy . The staff were very good.

I enjoy coming here for brunch. Good food, clean and small so staff are always on top of their customers. Can be quite loud with only a few people in there because the walls amplify sounds. Overall good and have gone back a few times.

The Hipperholme based Bardolino restaurant presents as reasonably size, light, and suitably accommodating in the light of the Covid-19 restrictions. They display a decent and well balanced menu supported by a very reasonable. I considered the restaurant to be intimate, romantic and suitable for couples. The staff were smiley, pleasant and did not hover or stare which made a refreshing and well appreciated difference. A good and satisfactory night was hard in the wake of long and debilitating restrictions. "I'll be back".

Wasn't sure what to expect from this modern looking restaurant, but was pleasantly surprised! Called in for a late lunch, mid afternoon on a March Thursday, and although busier than expected (a positive for me) the service was swift, pleasant and faultless. Two simple main courses (a Caesar salad and chicken pasta) and two drinks later we left feeling satisfied and content, and would definitely return with guests or family at a later date. Most likely for a weekend evening dinner. Well done. Enjoyed our first experience!
