Barceloz Peri Peri in Chelmsford

Food was lovely delivery fast salad was lovely and fresh

We had peri chicken from them before but yesterday’s chicken was just horrible. It wasn’t fresh, it had a smell & the salad looked old af. We used to love them but for some reasons they don’t do it with love anymore. Very disappointed ☹️

The positives: Food was good - wings were grilled perfectly, strips were slightly dry. They used strips in the burger was expecting a fillet atleast! Overall the taste of food was 4/5 The negatives: The tables inside were not clean, atmosphere was unhygienic needed better ventilation! Not good at all to eat in.

The food is nice…But the customer service and delivery is really poor

Not sure if this place has new management but we have ordered here plenty of times and it's been great!. Tonight we had missing items and instead of a chicken burger I had three small chicken strops with a weird mustard mayonnaise. No answer when called.

Absolutely pathetic the staff is rude went to the wrong address and then asked £4 delivery charge altogether when they slyly took some chips out no one go to this place these rude staff will just be plain rude to you

Ordered food and been waiting more than two hours, been calling the last hour to check where it is and they are not picking up!!!! Do not order if you’re expecting food to arrive on time!!!!!

I absolutely loved this place when it first opened but it has very quickly gone down hill. Chips always come cold and portions have got a lot smaller. Wraps have soggy brown lettuce and the chicken has consistently been dry and over cooked the last few times we have ordered. I really hope they can improve their standards back to how it was when they opened.

AVOID! Absolute scam We ordered at 1:50, Food was due at 2:55 and the driver arrived at 5pm. I did not accept the food as we ordered 3 hours ago. This business is a shambles and by these reviews I’m glad we didn’t eat the food. Do not even bother wasting your time or money.

Terrible experience, order came late and missing more than 2 items, called restaurant to inform them and were told we would get a call back but nothing. Requested a refund through the just eat app. The food that did arrive was barely edible, burger beef was charred and tough to eat and the chips was cold and soggy. All in all wouldn’t recommend and will definitely not be ordering from here again!

Terrible food, it was over cooled to the point we couldn't eat it. Then no-one picked up phone when we tried to complain. Avoid this place

They said they will give refund but no refund so i will take this further as it affected my whole family luckily i took a photo of the burger

Unfortunately this was the worst peri peri I ever tasted I had it and had very bad belly ache, also the chicken looked pink still?? So I chucked that piece in the bin, everyone be careful please when you order anything please do check we are all now very I’ll we haven’t been out in a while or no one comes around so it’s deffo the food after the food we all became I’ll

Rubbish! This is the third time i am taking peri peri chicken, it was raw/not fully cooked, fr the second time i asked them to please completely cook the chicken for me, they tried and it was good. Today when i went there i told them half peri peri but must be fully cooked, i dont wana see any raw spot otherwise i am gona share it. Now you can see what they did again. Rubbish

I had the food yesterday there was hardly any salad in the burger couldnt even see any cheese on it just plain burger with beef it looked dodgy, today morning I threw up the burger and still have a belly ache. Unfortunately would not recommend it also deliver was very very late which made food cold

I regularly order takeaway from Barceloz and on occasions I have dine in as well. Barceloz offers the best peri peri in Chelmsford, the staff is really friendly and the prices are good value too.

I’ve recently been having takeaways from Barceloz Peri Peri and it’s very nice fresh chicken excellent food. Last night we ordered 2 half pound burgers, the burgers were very nice and chips and a box of chicken. The order arrived half an hour early from just eat and the chef gave us complementary chicken which was very kind of him. Compliments to the chef he’s an excellent cook and the staff are very kind and friendly. I will be definitely ordering here again and 100% recommend Barceloz Peri Peri to anyone.

A nightmare after ridiculously explaining what I wanted for my 2 kids as the guy struggled to understand and work out things we had 2 very spicy peri peri burgers for my 2 little ones when I said at least 20 times no spicy and plain burgers . I ordered a burger and chips last night and not only was it completely delicious and a great price, the level of service was fantastic. I spoke to someone on the phone and they were so helpful and patient. There was also free extra sauce with the food. Would 100% recommend this place and will definitely be coming here again!

We ordered fried chicken; Greasy, soggy and tasteless. This was horrible. We had this delivered, never again. It was so bad we couldn't eat it. Yuck
