Amazing hotel, from the food , staff, rooms, brilliant,

Great staff but very bland. An up-market Travel Lodge would be my opinion of the interior. As a corporate venue I may have given it 5*, especially if the golf course was relevant. However I was there as a wedding guest and as a wedding venue, personally it's 3* at best because of how bland it is. However it is no doubt less expensive than tasteful country-house type venues and there is a place for all tastes. Enjoyed the overnight stay. Comfortable bed and excellent bathroom but with v little "furniture"

Evening meal for 10 adults. Overpriced food, too salty. Cajun butterfly chicken was very salty to the three of us eating it. Feedback was provided on the evening to the serving team. Pricing did not reflect the underwhelming standard of the food in general, on that occasion. I guess everyone is entitled to off days. Thank you for taking the time to reply.

Hotel was really nice. Staff were very friendly and the rooms were great. Bed was very comfy with a nice view. One of the better hotels i've stayed in. Only thing i would of liked was air con as it was quite warm in the room.

Attended for meeting room. Good facilities and great service.

Food poor . Got the fish and chips , they hid the cremated chips under the fish . Not what I expected from this hotel . Wouldn't be going back ,

We stayed at Wychwood on Saturday night 30 March 2024 with 4 friends. It was a really good deal with B&B and Evening meal and a bottle of wine per couple. I don't know why but I wasn't expecting much re the Evening meal but it was really lovely. The stand out of our visit was the service in the evening, brilliant waiting on staff who really looked after us. There was a really loud and rowdy table of young men (just having a good time) but it was difficult for us to hear one another speak. Within 2 minutes before we had a chance to ask, staff approached us and asked if we'd like to move and they moved us to a much quieter area. I want to apologise to the waiting on staff as we forgot to give a tip, don't know how, something they really deserved. Many thanks we will be returning

Where to begin......Initially a lovely looking establishment but the service staff in the restaurant are unprofessional and need retraining. The chef is unable to make pizza dough (despite claiming to be a qualified chef....?) and the restaurant has a very, very, very poor menu for customers who have allergies or intolerances. Rooms were not always cleaned, bottled water was rationed - 1 per room on some occasions and they also claimed to have run out of biscuits, yet left them in other rooms. All in all, a nice looking place, but peeling back the layers and it's a **it show and comparatively Holiday Inn was much better.

Clean and quiet. Decent prices. Spacious parking and very friendly staff.

Visiting Whychwood Park Hotel for a Christmas fayre was a delightful experience. The site is very well-maintained, presenting a welcoming and festive atmosphere. From the moment I arrived, the staff at the parking barrier were incredibly pleasant, setting a positive tone for the day. Inside the hotel, this high level of service continued with every staff member I encountered being friendly and helpful. The fayre itself offered a good selection of stalls, providing an enjoyable browsing experience. Additionally, the restaurant food was impeccable, with each dish being a testament to the hotel's commitment to quality. I highly recommend Whychwood Park Hotel for their excellent service, enjoyable fayre, and outstanding dining experience.

Great location for work seminar

Other than a freezing cold lobby, it's a nice place. Also ... you can't order a club sandwich at 5.01 pm ... they stop serving them at 5.00 pm (not locking, happened to me)

I would highly recommend this for functions / conferences

Great meeting venue. If you're a golfer you could enjoy game of golf with other golfers from all over the world. Beutiful scenery of the country side.

Wychwoord Park Hotel. Went for a Christmas meal with our car group. I can honestly say what a waste of money for the food and a miserable experience overall due to the cold. Firstly the entrance to the venue was blocked solid by smokers. This must happen at every event there because there is nowhere else for them to stand. Could the management not see this and make arrangements? I do not appreciate having to wade through an ashtray to get inside! Once inside, we were greeted with a glass of 'bucks fizz'. Fine for some, but no non-alcoholic alternative for drivers and teetotals? I had to ask for some straight orange juice. The dining room was freezing! I had a suit on, and even with a t-shirt under my shirt, I was cold, and bear in mind that most of the ladies wore off the shoulder dresses, so they were shivering. The meal was poor quality. There was a fixed menu of French onion soup, turkey dinner and Christmas pudding. Goodness knows what the soup actually was, but it wasn't french onion. The turkey dinner was average. The Christmas pudding was like a slice of soreen with a dribble of custard and some redcurrants on the side. Christmas pudding is not nouvelle cuisine, it needs custard, not a pretty smear on the side! Finally, a waitress came and offered cups of tea. Everyone wanted coffee. We waited 20 minutes before one of our party went to find someone to serve us. My coffee was mostly on the outside of the cup, and I had to ask for sugar. The evening was followed by a 'Vegas casino'. Four different games is not a Vegas casino! All in all, for £52 a head, not value for money.

Really nice rooms. Had a lovely stay for one night. Spacious, clean and comfortable rooms make for a good night's sleep. The location was nice and quiet too. Free parking for staying at the hotel. Really friendly and helpful staff too.

Stayed here twice with my partner and we have had the best time both visits. Rooms are very nice and clean and bar area is a really nice vibe. Never had the evening food so can’t comment, but complimentary breakfast is always great - large choice and lots of whatever you want! Will come back again for sure. Shout out to Jess on the bar, she was so nice and attentive to me and my partner, we thought she was amazing!

Stayed 1 night, paid 149 and got 30 quid each of the evening meal and a bottle of wine. Breakfast included.

We have been here for JDL Mini Market Nice location,with a lot of activities for kids. Good prices. £1 bounce castle,£3 tattoo or £5 face painting.

Generally a good stay, clean room if a little bland. Food was good, but service not consistent. Some staff were lovely and very helpful, others were unsure about offers etc in the restaurant. Ideally located, the rooms were quiet, Some groups of golfers were loud and language wasn't the greatest if you are away for a couples break.

Haven’t stayed or eaten. Just attended a Halloween market held in the foyer and several conference rooms. Large safe car park with 24hr security. Hotel looks impressive and the market was well attended by stall holders

A golf weekend with 20 mates. Great place. The food was so good I went to the pass to compliment he chefs.

A nice place, felt quite grand walking at night past the fountain etc. Foyer was large and spacious. However after being there a little bit it's obviously just another well done but generic corporate/ event venue. Was only there a night so no problem. Room was clean. Breakfast was good with lots of options. Just a shame it was busy and loud with a load of hungover "stokies" from the wedding being held there.

Never stayed there before but the facilities are very nice and great surroundings. Very nice area. Had a meal there and it was very nice.

The rooms are clean and modern with most having good views. Bar and communal areas pleasant, could be cleaner but ok... food!! Absolutely dire, not cooked correct, cold and just very poor, let's it down badly

Had a delayed work Christmas party which was a barbecue in May. Unfortunately the weather was not on our side so was indoors. Food delicious, good time getting together with food, a few drinks and dancing in a relaxed atmosphere and refurbishment has been done really well

It's okay. A bit grubby if I'm honest. Facilities fine, but let down by dust, and general grubiness not only in room, but also in common areas/restaurant , bar etc. (eg splattered fly on wall, remnants of split tea running down walls, filthy window ledges and blinds, and dusty skirting boards, handles etc) not great when you're paying top dollar. Needs a deep clean if you ask me.

Was attending a work event, so didn't stay in the rooms. Great location and the public areas and conference rooms are great. Food not bad, but seemed to be confusion about serving times.

Good, clean hotel with good facilties. Staff very friendly and helpful. One downside i had was the shower flooded bathroom floor within 2 minutes of running. The drain smell was then awful. The whole corridor (2nd floor at the very end) was even worse in terms of smell. A shame as rest of hotel was good and no other corridors i walked through had this issue. To add i did inform reception of the issue, she seemed surprised although i do now note another visitor has commented the same issue from a week ago. I would stay again if passing.

Because our shower flooded& we had to dry the floor with towels we had to shower with the shower trap pulled out so water could run quicker down plug

Stayed for business I come a few times a year for business this was my first time staying here. The hotel was ok, the beds are not great but it was ok. The staff is fairly uninterested in the customer. The restaurant is the absolute worst. The service is horrible. They act like it is annoying to help customers they rush you out and generally ignore you whenever possible. I do not recommend it but without a car it's impossible to eat any other way.

Lovely room, unfortunately our room was right next to a stairway and when people went up and down it resonated in the room and even made cups rattle on the bedside cabinets. So if your in room 2 on check in , I would ask for a different room. Also due to two large golfing parties in it appeared that the restaurant took of the a la carte dinning option and everybody had the fixed three course menu I assume put on for the golfers. Breakfast choice was good and it was a buffet style help yourself.

Spent 2 nights here. We had a lovely king room with beautiful views, super shower, very comfortable bed and enjoyed 2 great buffet style breakfasts. The busy restaurant serves a small , well thought out a la menu. The food we had on both evenings was both tasty and well prepared and cooked. A very pleasant stay was enjoyed by 2 non golf players. The adjoining golf course is a championship quality park style, with driving range, pitch and putt and putting green.

Best suite in the hotel the western suite very comfortable and relaxing even with two babies. Really liked the bed and bathroom. They made up both cots for us to which was appreciated. The food is good quality and the staff seemed helpful enough throughout the stay.

We had our wedding here on 28th December 2021. Thank you is not enough. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms for the ceremony and reception etc were amazing. Set out, better than our imagination had conjured up. All the staff worked tirelessly to make our day fantastic

Great Christmas Day lunch, food was delicious - bonus that there was only one sitting so there was no rush. Staff were brilliant!

Poor quality food. Massively over priced alcoholic drinks made in dirty glasses and warm with no offering of ice. Run by inexperienced very young staff. Terrible value for money

Daughters wedding fantastic day and fantastic staff

My daughter had her wedding here Saturday the staff couldn’t do enough for us all (especially my mother in law Sheila) my daughter wedding ran so smoothly with no hiccups and all the rooms we had were really clean and modern Thankyou again for making their day so special

Stayed in a deluxe double. Room was very cold on arrival and took quite a while to warm with the electric wall heater. Advertised as having a king size bed but in reality it's too single beds pushed together which is rather uncomfortable if you roll into the middle. Lock broke on bathroom door but wasn't too bothered as only staying the one night. Apart from those couple of things room was clean and shower was lovely and hot. Hotel only takes card so can't pay with cash in bar

Lovely modern hotel in pleasant grounds with golf course. Fabulous decor, good sized rooms with good facilities, nice bar areas and breakfast choices would good. Hot breakfast was tasty. All staff we met were helpful & friendly.

Recent refurbishment and is very tasteful. The bed in our room was super king-size and comfortable. Food was lovely and despite few staff we were well looked after. Breakfast was good with lots of hot and cold variety. Bar is great but maybe over priced at £6.30 a pint. Overall nice stay and would come again

Staff are considerate. Enjoyed the first evening meal that I had. Decent second meal. No covid precautions or simple measures, apart from some ventilation, observed.

Amazing food with excellent service

Stayed here twice for business purposes and it's been a massive disappointment. Don't be fooled by the look of the place, it is quite nice I have to admit, but there seems to be a massive lack of management. This is within a golf course, so if you can't get food here you have to drive out or get a taxi. So you'd expect guests to be given priority for food, not so on our first stay. On our second stay the first night it was closed due to a chef calling in sick, fair enough but why not do what other hotels do and have something like a 24hr room menu with easy things like pizza and burgers? The second night, massively limited menu and it was very average. Service was poor throughout our stay, slow and no attention to detail, it wasn't busy. This all stems from no management on site and no one taking charge, we had a conference room booked and we weren't looked after particularly well there either. Some good points, breakfast was good and our business lunch was also good. Room is at a good standard overall, but one or two cleaning issues as the toiletries were missing. The whole place is freezing cold as well, a completely souless experience. Staff are pleasant, but they need to be managed and directed properly, will not be coming back which is a massive shame as it is a nice place with loads of potential. P.S Your breakfast oat pots are all out of date by over a year, see photo.

Great conference facilities and excellent bedrooms. Let down by Covid-affected poor quality food and service in the restaurant. Would use facilities again but go to a local pub to eat.

On behalf of my parents stay this week: Room was great, staff were lovely and very considerate and supportive - much appreciated . Only disappointment was the quality of the food and 2.5 hours wait for to complete a meal, and even then they gave up waiting for the dessert. Others in the restaurant complained of the same problem, but we left rather than exacerbate it. It will be a great hotel again once it gets on top of these issues.

Good hotel. Breakfast not good. Restaurant staffso busy they hardly know what there doing. More than 2 and half hours to bring the dessert. Even that not the correct dish. Had to send it back. Stayed 2 nights. First night was good.

Nice hotel staff very helpful rooms lovely and clean bed very comfortable, bathroom great shower. Bar was upstairs opens at 5pm nice drinks average prices, restaurant nicely decorated spaces between tables menu was limited and they ran out of some things on it, second night we were extremely disappointed as it was the same menu as the night before my burger I was not able to eat as was not cooked through and dessert menu only had 2 things left as run out of others, really disappointing kitchen.

Hmmmnnm ..what it has in terms of decor and surroundings does not compensate for what it lacks in customer service and atmosphere. Nothing was ever volunteered, It felt like we spent the entire three days trying to find out very basic information such as dinner times and booking routine or Claret Jug availability or availability of drinks or food between breakfast and dinner times. Breakfast order was wrong each of the three mornings. Despite spending money on good champagne it was warm when brought to the table. We did not complain we accepted the explanation that it was rarely ordered so not chilled. However, the following evening when a meal was inedible and had to be returned, very apologetically from our side, we could have hoped for "oh, we are very sorry" rather than " no one else has complained" the implication being we were the problem. The same evening we were unable to pay for dinner via Apple pay or card as card machine was not working. It took 5 attempts at payment before staff would accept that the problem was theirs not our payments being rejected. It was long, drawn out embarrassing and completely unnecessary, a total lack of customer service skills by a more senior member of dining room staff. No room service due to Covid but no offer of replenishing, toilet rolls, toiletries or fresh towels. To be honest we were glad to leave. Sadly disappointing.

Long course with undulating greens, no hole the same, which makes it more interesting and in good condition considering the amount of rain they have had recently. Rooms were small but adequate but the food was a bit bland. Overall we had a good time.

A lovely looking hotel, great rooms, welcoming staff. Direction signposts nearby. Easy free parking outside reception area, a short drive from entrance gateway, with security staff. We stayed for a couple of nights with Great Little Breaks, nice but when busy it's let down by inconsistent restaurant experience. Glad we got away, if just staying b&b, breakfast would be nothing to go back for at the moment. Dinner was great the first night, we paid extra for steak. 2nd night disappointed, mix up of gf/df menu, seabass was nice but the rest I left. They would only let me have gf/df chocolate tart OR sorbet on its own, unlike my hubby who got ice-cream with his brownie, as chocolate tart is usually dry I opted for sorbet. Breakfast pre order at booking in. First morning hubby great, me gf/df cornflakes from an help yourself family pack and found almond milk. Full English order taken at table, gf/df OK Asked for fruit, banana. BEWARE if staying 2days! Next day not expected as we didn't complete another form at reception. Not as much offered hubby today, I asked gf bread, fried eggs and mushrooms and fruit, got 1 egg 6 mushrooms and 2 pieces of gf defrosted un toasted bread but no df spread, no fruit. On leaving we could see items not offered to us including fruit. Inconsistent, my hubby said wouldn't have been good experience just 1 night. Lovely viewing, semicover out door seating up stairs bar.

A lovely place to go to food excellent and rooms very clean. Outside lovely and open. Views good. Not far from Crew and Nantwich. Would like to visit again.

We have just completed our overnight stay at Wychwood Park. In all honesty, it was the team who really made our stay a memorable one. The service provided was exceptional and very considerate of us and our young baby - thank you to all! The two ladies on the check in desk kindly helped us with dining options that were suitable for us and our young baby and the hospitality team were so helpful when it came to dietary requirements. Whilst waiting for assistance at the reception, another couple were checking in and were very dissatisfied that there were no dinner reservations until 8:15pm - even though they could have pre-booked at the time of reservation!. The guest proved quite shirty with the team member who remained calm and professional. As a guest I feel that showing kindness and gratitude goes a long way when interacting with staff and the team member did so well to remain calm in this difficult situation. Our stay was made an excellent one by the friendly team at reception and meal times - thank you!

What a great few days away! - The room was exceptionally comfortable, clean and spacious - the staff were all fantastically helpful and cheerful. Steph in particular went above and beyond (a super hard worker with the most positive, helpful attitude I have ever experienced) - the golf course is amazing with 18 challenging and very different holes. Great that you can play off any tees that beat suit your ability. The condition of the course was good and we could see that so much work was going on to make this even better. We will definitely be coming back, thank you

Just had a 2 night stay here via great little breaks deal we had a lovely stay large room very clean everything we needed, superb size shower. Can not fault anything.

Lovely bedroom, good views, peaceful. Food was good in the evening. The full breakfast was only ok. The lad who showed us to the table didn't tell us everything, eg you toast your own bread and get your own coffer from the coffee station. Biggest issue was they put everyone in a smallish room breakfast which was full and not sufficiently socially distanced. This was odd as there was a large unused additional seatinge area. We felt uncomfortable. We opened a window and had our offer outside. Thankfully it was a nice day. I did tell the receptionist.

Nice hotel in park location, lots of fresh air, really nice food in restaurant

I booked in emergency because I was let down by another organisation's misplanning. I literally booked this after 10pm, they confirmed my call, had the room ready for me. With two kids, the rooms were spacious, clean and the location isolated. Very peaceful and well managed. I would recommend for a quiet stay.
