Lovely little place we didn’t have any food but the pizzas did look amazing. There is also a range of games to play chess back gammon and books to read. We enjoyed and will be back.

The drink and atmosphere was good. Food not happy with. I ordered pepperoni pizza and was very disappointed, the bottom of the pizza was burnt which ruined it.

1. Bar staff too busy talking to each other to be bothered speaking even one word to customers ordering g drinks at the bar. 2. Of only 3 tables in bar area. Ours was covered with empty glasses. 2 staff talking to each other. We returned the glasses to the bar. 3. Still, an empty bottle of wine in a cooker. Took it back to the bar. 4. A double measure queried as being short met with “no it wasn’t”. Descended into pantomime mode. No customer empathy. Just petulance. So sad to see a really warm attractive places staffed by cold indifference..

Great spot pre-match with some of the best pizza and beer Newcastle has to offer. 10/10 would recommend for any match goers who want a chilled out and high quality experience before going into the ground.

Lush pizza. We sat by the roaring fire and enjoyed our food with a few drinks. Lovely vibes and I was rightly filled up. 🖤🤍

Very nice atmosphere, good drink.

Cocktails are 2 for £12, but they've no idea how to make them. Ordered 2 long island iced teas and got a double of a mystery spirit in each, half a glass of lemon juice from a bag and 100ml of coke.

Had some delicious caipirinha and margaritas in the sun, then finished it with a pizza. All of them were incredibly delicious so we will be back.

I came across the owner, broad long-haired fella, Paddy I think he was called, and really wish I didn't.. Couldn't speak, barely able to tell us his name and looked like could barely move. To be honest, it looked like he had sniffed a lot of ket he was that unresponsive (not saying he had but that's what it looked like). This used to be great but now it just seems like a place for friends of the owner to sniff ket or take whatever drugs they want. I used to come here 6 or 7 year ago regularly and nothing has changed. The men's toilets are absolutely rancid, as they were before this clown took over. Wouldn't recommend anyone coming here unless you want to buy drugs.

The writing group I facilitate is at Bar Loco pretty regularly. We almost always have an excellent time. The staff (usually we see Laura) are wonderful and the menu, though smaller than it used to be, does not disappoint. The food is reliably beautiful. Keep up the excellent work!

Not a lot many options of drinks. It's a cozy place divided into several rooms. To me, it appeared more like a house than a bar

Great place to meet before any Newcastle home game you think you are not going to get served but the staff manage it give it a go just under a £5 for a pint and not far to the match ( across the road in fact ) 4****

Good vibe just down from leazes park close to st James park. It's outdoor indoor social drinks big Wooden chunky tables great on a sunny day with nachos.

Really nice place for a quiet drink, pizza lovely.. and kids friendly..loads of activities at night..for adults quiz night..Will be back again.

Delicious food (would 100% recommend the pizza!), great atmosphere and a good sun trap! We will definitely be coming back!

We love bar Loco, best bar in the Toon centre by far. Cosy friendly atmosphere, very canny staff. Great for just popping in for a quick one whilst in town or for a night out. Fabulous for private parties. Great outside space.

A nice bar of many cushions, honestly sitting in the mountain of cushions is the comfiest I've ever been... the alcohol is nice too... but those cushions man! 😍

Good service although limited beer choice if you like traditional beer styles.

Great food and drinks at a fair price, have been many times and will keep going back as the style of the place means you could be eating, drinking anywhere in the UK, Europe etc give it a go you won't be disappointed.

Was a lovely indoor / outdoor bar. Not too busy when I was there. Nice mix of people, some had been to the Magic Weekend rugby, nice to see opposing supporters getting on. Staff were friendly and helpful. Thanks

great pub, we sat outside, there's a lot of outdoor seating. It was quite windy but it wasn't cold so it was quite nice. It has a great atmosphere and the staff were really friendly. Will be going back again!

This bar has a Lovely outdoor area and has very affordable offers on cocktails

Had outdoor seating with umbrella covers, big tables which allowed to social distancing. Table service with card readers for all ordering which made life easier. Staff wore masks which was good to see as well.

Great bar, good food, excellent drinks, and a lovely casual vibe. Bar staff are lovely (Nat is the best), and this place easily has the best toilet graffiti and stickers in Newcastle. Oh, and really good caipiriñhas.

Brilliant service from start to finish. Met outside by a lovely young lady, taken to a table and looked after for the entire time we were here. Could not recommend enough!!

Had Chicken and Chiozo pasta here for lunch for Chancellar Rishi Sunak’s Eat Out to Help Out scheme with my mum. The staff was lovely here. The outside seating was lovely here. The Chicken and Chiozo pasta was very tasty. My mum has the Goat’s cheese and roasted vegetables wrap with chips which was very tasty. I would recommend the chicken and chiozo pasta and Goat’s cheese and roasted vegetables wrap for anyone coming here.

I love the outside area at this place if te weather is nice.

This is a great little bar. Serves great food, perfect for pre match food. Good ales well kept. Plenty of variety.

We visited here during the busy Christmas shopping period and found it to be a welcome oasis of calm! I had a delightful espresso martini and we shared a perfect pile if nachos. Couldn’t fault the place!

En route to St James Park found this place by chance, what a gem, drinks very reasonable price but the food stole the show, to be fair was not expecting much as just thought more ‘pub grub’ but far from it, all cooked very well and the hummus was brilliant, will definitely visit again

Awesome, quirky bar, with a great selection of beer and spirits! Very reasonably priced, such as two cocktails for £10, I had an espresso martini which was very tasty. The sort of place you could go for a cozy drink or a more lively session. I noticed they offered food, including a good variety of vegan options. Staff very friendly!

The best bar in the city, cozy with so many events during the week.

The staff are amazing. The menu doesn’t state certain things contain cheese. With being Dairy intolerant this can cause issues and did. When I went to the toilet due to ingesting dairy I was Horrified to find the Men’s toilet door barely shut and when it did it has gaping gaps other people can see straight through.

Went to Bar Loco, great vibe, Dj's on the decks in the upstairs bar, superb tunes and wonderful staff...I like this place. Did not eat there, but plan to. Menu and food looked top notch!!! Looking forward to my next visit.

Friendly staff and very good value food.

Called in for a quick drink while out walking and got to say what a great place, decided to have a little snack also with a 2nd drink. Staff great and food excellent. Definitely worth a stop off.

A great, quirky bar with a great choice of food and tapas (and cheap too!). The staff are relaxed and friendly and it’s very close to St James’s metro.

Great little bar with a chilled out vibe. Very warm welcome from bar staff. It's very small, with decor added to, by customers doodles and spare currency. Really well priced drinks too. We will be back!

Bigots in sheepy clothing. Insulted over my origins, then barred for protesting. Fake hippies, just prejudicial Bigots. It doesnt ever get forgotten.

Lovely setting for a Sunday drink

Lovely and quite unique bar. The staff is absolutely amasing. Really friendly and welcoming. Descent prices and a great front yard for those sunny days. Thu burgers are homemade and chips hand cut! Give it a try totally worth it. Lovely decoration in the inside with a twist.

Funky. Selection of drinks was good. Philosophical writings on the bog door and walls put Plato to shame.

Really cozy place, but was very crowded after 8pm.
