Second visit in as many weeks, great steaks and the chicken souvlaki is amazing. Highly recommend this place

First time going here. Probably the last too. Expected more considering the prices being charged. Ordered the chateaubriand and was very disappointed with the appearance, size and taste of the steak, and only got one small peppercorn sauce to share. Had to buy a second sauce at a cost of £2. Repeatedly had to stop the server to remind him of drinks that were ordered. Clearly not enough staff either as plates were left on table for far too long. Overall not a great experience, which was disappointing as we expected better.

First time at Glasgow bar+block Food was great realy enjoyed, are steaks where cooed to perfection. The girl who showed us to are table was very friendly and professional did a great job remembering our order of the top of her head. Well what can I say about are waiter Waheed was very friendly also happy and cheerful, made great conversation that mad us laugh. He couldn't do enough for both of us. We had an amazing experience at Block and Bar in Glasgow, thanks to the fantastic service from our waitress Ntina. She was incredibly attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations that made our meal even better. Despite the restaurant being busy, she ensured we had everything we needed and checked in regularly without being intrusive. Her warm and professional attitude really made our evening special. We'll definitely be back but we would definiently prefer fresh fried potatoes . Thank you.

Lovely food and our server (I believe she is called Kate or Katie) was very pleasant and efficient. It was quiet enough to have a conversation without raised voices. I really must comment on the garlic mushrooms. Delicious! The Eaton Mess was lovely.

Very poor portion size. I've eaten at many steakhouses across the UK and this for portion v quality = value was the worst unfortunately. Very small cut . Supposed to be 8oz ,more likely 5 max. The steak was not seasoned well also adding to the disappointment. Will not revisit or recommend.

Great place to grab an excellent steak dinner. Three stars for atmosphere is probably down to my poor choice of company on the night. Next time I'll take a better dinner date.

Here for the fifth time. First time gave it five stars for both the food and service and would have this time too, but the quality was not quite up to the same standard, hence the four stars. Needs a bit of consistency.

We were recommended this restaurant by the hotel, our first meal in Glasgow and for us a mistake. For the price, we expected something else. The taste or flavor of the dishes has left us indifferent, nothing to highlight and I find that anywhere else you can eat better for this price or a lower price. Regarding the quantity 3 fins??? This was a plate, and the bowls were minis. The restaurant is elegant and the staff who welcomed us and served us at the table, very friendly and professional.

My wife and I had lovely afternoon here with a bottle of wine and a few steaks. All cooked beautifully. (The fries are #chefskiss). Our first table had a slight draft, but we were moved without issue. Everyone was exceptional, especially Waheed who was so friendly and created the atmosphere for us to relax and enjoy our food and fizz without feeling rushed. We will be back. D&J.

Waheed was absolutely brilliant, from the second we walked in he was so cheerful and considerate until we left. It was my birthday and when he brought out my dessert he came in with a candle and had all of my friends singing happy birthday. I took My Wife here for a Birthday Meal and was Very Impressed, It was Very Cosy and the Staff where all very helpful, we each had Steak Sirloin for me and A Filet for my Wife they were very Enjoyable, We also had some cocktails to celebrate the birthday, Our Server was Waheed and he was very Joyful & Friendly when I ordered the Cocktails I mentioned it was to celebrate my Wife's Birthday, and he wished her happy birthday and was very attentive to make it a enjoyable night for her, once we had finished our meal Waheed brought a small treat with a candle in it and sang happy birthday this was a nice touch and made her night , we had a very enjoyable night and would highly recommend for the food and the service

Great restaurant with affordable options and a wide range of food at different portion sizes too. Cocktails are amazing and there is lots of choice. Burger was fab I’d definitely have this again and the steak was cooked perfectly. Our server Waheed was really friendly and knowledgeable about the menu 10/10 would return maybe even tomorrow!

If I could rate ten star I would. The steaks was the best iv put in my mouth in years the food was delicious,the staff polite and friendly. It's a little pricey but it's a steak house. Does a great 3 course for 15 during the day.. This is my new favourite resteraunt and I'm gonna return more than a few times in 2025

Delicious steakhouse! Right in the hub of Glasgow Central. Steak was juicy and tender, lots of great sides to choose from. On the pricey side but good quality.

We ate here on Sunday evening, we had the Christmas 3 course meal, the food was good, the service from Waid was very pleasant. I would have liked to have left him a tip for the service we received, however due the the fairly large service fee I felt it wasn't appropriate.

There were five of us looking for a nice steak meal and a few glasses of red. Welcome was friendly. The starters were interesting and enjoyable and the steaks were exactly as ordered. Service throughout was efficient and there was never an empty glass.

I recently stayed at the premier inn st Enoch that this restaurants attached to. Breakfast here is first class and the lady welcoming customers is so friendly. The ingredients very fresh and well cooked each morning. Kept very well for a buffet service. I ate in the restaurant on two lunch times. My first experience was very good. Good starters and a well cooked Rib eye steak. The waiter was very friendly, Whayed I believe, and all round a pleasant experience. Unfortunately my Sunday lunch experience wasn’t any where close to this. I have a condition where I’m tube fed and this was a rare experience sadly spoilt. Firstly, I wasn’t told that there would only be a festive menu when I booked. I had read reviews on the Sunday lunch and was looking forward to this. Secondly, I had a discount code to which I was informed can not be used on the festive menu. It was too late to book elsewhere on a Sunday so opted for the turkey and all the trimmings. As good as my breakfast and steak experiences were, this was the polar opposite. Soup starter cold, Turkey over cooked, it was 1pm, veg undercooked, beef dripping roasts flavourless, a sad attempt of a Yorkshire pud, gravy very watery and one tiny pigs in blankets, didn’t make for an enjoyable lunch. When I made my concerns known I was told “yeah the turkeys not great” It’s a real shame as I had high expectations after 2 very good meals. However, this was one of the worst Sunday lunches I have had.

Meal was very good but I was appalled at the time I waited was disgusting I was token a back when I looked at my watch and realised I had been waiting for an hour and a half if your happy to wait until the new year to get your meal I would recommend if not please for your own temper do not come

Lovely and polite service, although the lady did obviously try and upsell us. Nonetheless, we look forward to our food. My partner’s steak arrived overdone, no big deal. However, my burger was very burnt. My partner tried it to confirm it was burnt, disappointing especially at that price. I work in the industry so I get it, but just don’t send out a meal you won’t eat. All whilst being serenaded to loud corporate pop which absolutely murders the atmosphere. I would give a miss.

Went for a boozy brunch and had paid extra £10 each for the cocktails which there was only 4 to choose from as the beer and proseco on offer wasn't to our liking my partner didn't like the cocktails much so asked if they could exchange 1 or 2 for a vodka and coke to be told no would upset the till so decided to go elsewhere will be going back to sappora as the cocktails where better a d choose any drinks

Excellent value for money and good selection of food

Went for lunch with a group of friends. Great location, near central station. The decor and ambience is lovely with spaced out tables so you don't feel crammed in. The food was good, although none of us had steak, which is (of course) their speciality. However, what truly made this place 5 stars was our waiter - Waheed. He was friendly, funny and attentive; making such an effort to make our visit enjoyable. Thank you for adding your magic to make our day out even more memorable.

Went with friend for boozy brunch,food and cocktails were fantastic(try the love absolutely, OMG) We were served by Waheed who is the employee every company should have,Super friendly and very Attentive and his interaction with customers was fantastic deff 10/10. We will definitely return.

We tried the Christmas festive menu, and I was extremely disappointed with the quality of the food. As a main dish, I’ve had the Turkey with all the trimmings, and it was very basic. Turkey was slightly cold, the gravy sauce portion was extremely small that wasn’t nearly enough to cover 1/4 of the dish. The quality of the food doesn’t justify the price at all.

Barman lovely but… A member of staff who had just finished shift and came from the back to have a drink after his shift at the bar. He went out mid drink and clearly smoked cannabis as when he came back to the bar to finish his drink the smell overpowered the whole place. Awful!!!!!!! Do not smoke that and then force if upon your patrons. Disgusting.

The food here was amazing. Honestly, I couldn't fault it. My friend and I ordered from the set menu and also ordered some small plates. The cheese fondue was so tasty, a must try. We both had the trio of steak as a main, and the steaks were brilliantly cooked, very tasty. The service was ok, until after the bill was paid then it seemed like the waitress didn't feel the need to be helpful anymore. My friend has a disability and when she asked to use the disabled toilet, she was told by staff that they didn't think it was working and she'd just need to go upstairs to use the toilet. The toilets upstairs are over two flights of stairs from the main restaurant and there is no way she'd have been able to make that climb. Seemed like a situation where because there was no visible disability that assumptions were being made instead. If the disabled toilet wasn't working then that's understandable but at least confirm that rather than say to someone, they'll need to just use the toilets upstairs then walk away. All in all though, I'd recommend for a meal. The food really was some of the best I've eaten in Glasgow.

Steak was lukewarm asparagus cold broccoli cold toilets ladies a disgrace four our of six stalls dirty toilet.we didn't say much at the table ,but I pointed the above to a female. manager who said sorry we paid the full bill a tiny discount would have been appreciated but none offered restaurant was very quiet . service was very good but would not return as the food let it down.Bill was 130 for four people

Great staff, great food. Have eaten here before and will certainly eat here again. They know how to do steaks right! Even if my companions were heathens and wanted medium-rare! 😉

The Waiter, Wahid was lovely however this restaurant leaves allot to be desired. we arrived without a booking at 19:00 on a Thursday evening. We tried to order beef burgers as it is a Beef/Steak restaurant. We were told they had no burgers at all, which was a surprise. We had to order chicken burgers instead, which when they arrived left us questioning how they can charge £18 for a tiny burger and 4 chips. The plate was practically empty. They also forgot my mums coffee that she ordered and the glass given to her for her Sparkling water had a strong smell of curry/BO, she had to ask for a new one. The waiter was the only thing that kept us from walking out.

Staff were really friendly and patient with our group. I had the sea bass and it was delicious!

Delicious food and cozy vibes, we truly enjoyed our visit and had a great time. The steak was cooked exactly how we wanted. The only downside was that the service was a bit slow, but I think at the time they were just a bit short on staff 😅

I stayed at the premier inn attached to this establishment. I met my 23 year old son & his partner for drinks here. The bar staff asked for I.D. for both my son (who had none) & his partner. My son is clearly over 18, however the barmaid took great delight in refusing him a drink as he had no i.d. I watched not only this particular barmaid but all of them over a period 2 hours and not one of them ever cracked as much of a smile! They were dour and had absolutely no intention of striking up a rapport with any customer. This was a nice location and has so much potential but they need a total staff overhaul.

Had lunch last Friday with my sister, the food was lovely and the service from our waiter Waheed was exceptional.

Had a fantastic meal with my fiancée. Ordered 4 small plates, portions were lovely for what they were, the prawns and the brisket burnt ends were incredible! Ordered 2 rump steaks, an 8oz and a 12oz, and unfortunately both were marred by being the wrong temperatures (fiancée had to send her 8oz back because it was rare/blue when asked for as medium). Mine was requested Medium rare, and came between medium and medium well. Still tasted lovely, just wished I'd sent mine back too. Prices on the steaks are a little up there, but the starters are very well priced so it makes it feel quite balanced overall if you're there for 2 courses at least. Planning to come back here later in the week for another meal, would definitely recommend.

The steak itself was good but the whole meal itself was vastly overpriced . We had a chateaubriand for 2 . The sides were mediocre and not very substantial . Our bill for just a main course wine , snd a couple of drinks came to £118 . This included 2 overcooked prawns and 2 overcooked scallops for a total of £10 - ripoff . Would not recommend with many better options in Glasgow to eat at .

A very nice place belonging to the Premiere Inn hotel. The food offered is probably standard for all Premier Inn hotels. The service is impeccable and helpful, but the downside is that the kitchen closes too early and some employees don't even know what time it is.

We had booked this for my son’s 15 Birthday and we had a lovely time. The restaurant and bar was really nice with a lovely relaxed atmosphere and our waiter Waheed was great, a real asset to the business. He made my son feel really special although slightly embarrassed when he sang happy birthday to him 😂. Food was nice too thought could have done with a little bit of veg to complement the perfectly cooked steak.

Tried to walk in at 19:30 and we were turned away when the restaurant was practically empty (about 6 people sat down) the greet staff actively tried to send us somewhere more expensive (£150 for two people we were quoted) we went outside to check online booking availability and there was nothing booked from 19:30 until close so we booked the next slot at 19:45 and walked back inside and said “we managed to book a table” for the greet staff (who we found out later was a manager) to say “well I guess I’ll have to seat you now, I would have put you in when you came in earlier if I had the space. You’re not likely to have a good experience now as we are busy and the kitchens overwhelmed” (still only around 6 people eating in the whole place at this point). We were seated and kept receiving stares and side eye from the manager who “greeted” us and who quite frankly had an atrocious attitude. Ordered regular coke and received diet Food took way too long to arrive, was average at best, not worth the price. Steaks were undercooked, both were ordered medium we received one rare and one close to blue but somehow charred, the sides were bizarre or just poor quality, garlic mushrooms that had clearly been microwaved, and “corn on the cob” that consisted of four slices of a corn cob that were drowning in what can only be described as supercharger sauce from kfc, coriander, and some kind of cubed soft cheese The only positive of the whole experience was our server Ellie who looked like she was the only person on shift doing anything at all! She kept a smile on her face even though she was rushed off her feet waiting on every table alone (more people had come in since we’d sat down) she was friendly, attentive and apologetic. She is the only reason I haven’t rated the service lower Whoever the manager on that shift was needs to be knocked down a few levels and get a serious attitude adjustment and Ellie should run a shift or two Chips were decent

4 out of 5 steaks were fabulous. One was fatty and they only had one Sunday roast left even though we reserved a table for 6 people

Had a lovely meal and drinks, staff very helpfull - wish we had whaheed as our sever tho, seems to bring life/personal touch to the place! Credit to him!! toilets however disgusting, don't think this is the resturants fault just the dirty females that had been in before me.

I’m not recomended this place, personal is very poor qualification. Absolutely empty place and not friendly personal.

Went for the Sunday roast. The service was attentive if slow, and the temperature was insanely cold. The meal itself was all right at best, with the chicken the highlight. I got the ultra roast that also include lamb and steak; it was just a slice of each one, and honestly I'm still not sure which one was which. The potatoes were obviously frozen; the broccoli and the peas were good. Honestly I'm sure there are better options in Glasgow but it's fine if you can get a deal/voucher.

We were staying at the premier inn located next door first experience was nice my partner had the 8 oz steak which was slightly overcooked but still very nice I had the fish block which was amazing service was great but we were in early for dinner 6 pm Next morning had the unlimited breakfast which was great again the server I forgot her name was amazing as the restaurant was full thank God we booked a table In Sunday we went at 5 pm hopeful to get a roast unfortunately they ran out but wasn't a problem my partner had the sea bass dish which he said was the best food he'd ever had I went for the small plates which were amazing apart from the corn chip with guacamole unfortunately the chips were chewy rather than crunchy but the rest was unbelievably lovley our server was Waheed such a charming man nothing was too much trouble he convinced me to have the tiramisu which is my favorite well it didn't disappoint we will definitely be back when we come back to Glasgow Well done bar & block it was our first visit and we loved it !!

Friends suggested this restaurant for our lunch gathering. We were first greeted by a not so happy guy then our server Wahid came and turned our dining experience to a delightful one! He is one of the few you get in dining places nowadays, I felt like I was in business or first class onboard a plane! He delivered one of the highest standard of service I’ve experienced in this Kingdom! There are so many to choose from the menu, it was Sunday so I chose the Sunday roast beef and priced around £16 which was big in portion. It was perfectly done and well presented. Friend had the sea bass and was very good too. There are also 2 courses lunch available with good price. A-la-carte prices are slightly on the high side but would try it to find out next time. Friend had the Grapefruit margarita which was absolutely fabulous! My house red wine was ok. We couldn’t stop commenting how impressive Wahid was and left him a big tip. Definitely will be back. 👍🏼

Attended last night for my mums birthday. Sat down and as soon as seated an OUTSTANDING Waiter greeted us. I have never experienced a waiter that makes little things make a restaurant stand out.From taking all our names individually and remembering them the full night including kids. Going the extra mile to make my mums birthday that little special with a cake. Wahid made our night with his outstanding quality and this restaurant has an outstanding man with fantastic qualities and we couldn’t be more thankful for his service. Our food was fantastic and our kids also loved their food aswell wahid given the kids his time and making them feel important. Will definitely be back but will be requesting my man Wahid to serve us. Said they were closed at 20:50 on a Friday night. Staff didn't know if they were open or closed. The place was empty though on a busy Friday night after payday. We were a group of 5 looking for some steak. Turned away. Told no more orders before 2100 on a friday night. Seems like they lost a good few hundred pounds tonight...
