Well only popped in for a quick drink omg first we where ignored May be we stood a the wrong side of the bar ?? , but I'm sure the shelf needed tiding ... j thought they had gone to Brazil for the coffee beans I know a bar person isn't the best ( Iv been there) but please don't ignore people won't be rushing back.

The bar service was excellent, good vibes. Cheap drinks. Good location. Good vibes again. I had a good time

I got married on Saturday and should be in Cuba but bloody Covid scuppered it so I'm in Whitley Bay. Same thing, less rum. This bar is next to our hotel so being a lazy, chunky northern lass it's been my go to and in all honesty it's been great. The bar is lovely and really chilled out, they do good beer and you can order food from the amazing Buddah Lounge next door (salt and chilli chicken is banging). On Wednesday I was an absolute mess with the football coming home and that and the pub was rammed but the team there are so attentive and instead of being mildly drunk I may have been so plastered I wandered the halls of the hotel knocking on doors as I let myself out when trying to get into the toilet. I am an embarrassment but this place is excellent and I would absolutely recommend, even if I partially blame them for my husband second guessing his life choices.

Sports fans will love this place - with TVs all around to watch the match on. Good beer, and if you're staying at the Hotel 52 next door, you get a discount. Friendly service.

Typical chain bar OK nicely done out however the online payment process was so difficult and it does not even accept PayPal you need to use a credit/debit card saved onto a little known app (quite worrying). Stayed for one drink and left won't be back as manager not welcoming at all. Its not the 'party central' in Whitley Bay as advertised on the website so lads steer clear. If you want a quick drink try somewhere else especially as the app will take you ages to work out.

Great drinks, service & value for money. Brilliant for watching sport or having a nice chilled drink. All the staff were brilliant great atmosphere.

Bar 52 is quiet and has its own atmosphere. The bar is very clean with plenty of TVs to watch sports. The pool table and darts board isn’t in the main bar area which is good. When I visited a bar man called Jake served me, full of smiles and conversation. He was very quick making the drinks and asked about specific wants and needs such as ice etc. The experience of Bar 52 was made a lot better with Jake’s friendly face. I couldn’t fault the bar if I tried, the pool table is 50p too, so cheaper than other bars/pubs.

Great place to stay, staff in bar & hotel great welcoming...& so down to earth. Chef Malcom cooks an amazing breakfast...& cooks Eggs to order...can't fault it...so much better than other Hotels that leave eggs sitting under grills! Would recommend this Hotel100%. Had a Brilliant weekend! Beds really comfy too.

Prices are pretty good big range of drinks. Really comfortable place to relax. Old world feel staff very friendly.

We found Bar 52 a nice place for a drink. The bar was clean with outside space and TV,s showing sport.

Went here for a couple of drinks with mates really good prices. Friendly welcoming staff. Music was great as well. I will be coming back!!

Me friend and I visited on a Saturday afternoon for the prosecco deal. It was great value and the food was amazing! We could order literally anything on the menu apart from steak and fish. You get three courses and the prosecco was lovely. The standard of the food was excellent - we will definitely be back!

First time here for 8 out of 9 of us on the 9th persons recommendation and they weren't wrong. Very nice restaurant and fab food but also a great deal. £15 for two courses plus glass of prosecco and two cocktails! Even took some pizza home cos we were stuffed. Staff couldn't do enough for us. The only fault was the choice of music! Felt like we were in a German beer house! They might want to re-think this.

Just back from eating at Verdina and feel so disappointed. First time there and we were the only ones in the restaurant and it looked really nice. Ordered a glass of wine which never came, so reminded the waiter. One of our group ordered orange juice which never came, so again reminded waiter. After a while he brought a pint when half had been ordered. Requested garlic pizza to eat whilst waiting for main course, and it took a long time to arrive. The food was actually very nice, though the menu was limited. Ordered more wine, which took so long we were on the verge of giving up. When it arrived they'd got the order wrong and when we pointed it out, we were met with raised eyebrows and a deep sigh, as though we were being difficult. Requested the bill, which was passed to us in a very offhand way, whilst the waitress was talking to someone else. Was it too much to hope for a nice plate with a couple of chocolates on? I'd hoped that a new restaurant, especially an empty one, would have made a real effort to please its customers. What on earth were the staff doing - we were the only people there! The service and customer care were abysmal - no 'can I get you some coffees' or even any goodbyes and thank you. It's such a shame, as the food was nicely cooked. But I certainly won't be going back to Verdina again.

Nos estaban empezando a pie la Muralla de Adriano (de Whitley Bay a Bowness-on-Solway) en la mañana. Después de buscar el área local para algo más que "llevar" (o "para llevar" para los estadounidenses), nos tropezamos con Verdina.Cuando entramos, nos dimos cuenta que Verdina sufría un poco de una crisis de identidad. Se anuncia como una marca "reformado" restaurante fino, sin embargo, la entrada parecía una pequeña y acogedora tienda de café. Elegí para mantener el césped, no por el precio (gratis), sino porque no quería esperar 10 minutos más para patatas a cocinarse. El brócoli en realidad era bastante sabrosa y una buena adición a mi comida, pero no es lo que pedí.Risotto de mi esposa estaba preparado bien y bien al dente. Los sabores eran profundos y bien desarrollados e incluía una variedad de setas frescas. Sin embargo, el risotto sufrió una abundancia de caldo y estaba un poco "jabonosa. Acabo de volver de mi primera visita a verdina restaurante. Hemos sido clientes asiduos a este restaurante en sus distintos propietarios y cambios de nombre. Reservamos para esta noche para salir de nuevo otro nuevo nombre! ! A poca en todo parece muy bonito. Después de estar un rato aunque nos dimos cuenta de que las luces eran muy brillantes. No lo quieres para una comida intima noches para dos. Yo creo que este va a ser desagradable para algunas personas. Habiendo dicho que el personal era muy agradable y la comida era excepcional. Mi marido es un filete Conisseur y su costilla estaba hecho a la perfección. Tuve el bacalao salados que también fue hecho a la perfección. Sin duda volveremos y espero que encuentren el conmutador atenuador de luces! ! !
