Firstly, the drinks were tasty, the selection was not vast however. I had an amaretto sour. Friends had wine which they reported was nice. It was fairly quiet in the bar (the one across the road was much busier). The cocktails were cheaper than the Ned round the corner, but more expensive than the Pitcher and Piano, so mid-range. Service was table service, which was good, but unnecessary in a bar like that in my opinion.

Found this my first night in London and popped in for the soup and Parmasan custard anchovy toast. Both nice but loved the toast so much I dragged my colleagues here my second night. The toast was a hit with everyone. Three colleagues has the steak which they loved. One had the fancy chicken goujons and I had the Philly steak sandwich. All very much enjoyed! Staff were lovely and friendly both nights. Only thing is the wine was very expensive at £50 a bottle, shamefully couldn’t just relax with another drink after.

Firstly, we dined in The Don restaurant which is part of the same complex as Bar 1790. It was excellent. The a la carte menu isn’t massive but the set menu had enough choice and was very good value. We chose the eschabeche tuna with babaganoush and pickled apricot starter. The flavours were great though I did think the tuna could have benefited from a bit more seasoning. I don’t actually like apricot but the pickling gave it a whole new dimension. For the main course, we had the pork chop option. It was outstanding, a proper sized piece of meat beautifully cooked and so tender. It was accompanied by a julienned apple and chicory salad which complemented really well. The apple was sharp and sour which definitely tickled the taste buds. Service matched the food, attentive and knowledgeable with a very helpful sommelier. An excellent choice which I hope we’ll sample again.

Delicatessen Very expensive, double the price of others in London. Bought loads of things, one week later went to another Portuguese delicatessen, that's when I realised the difference in price.

Cosy bar went on a Tuesday after work and was a quiet atmosphere. They did not have pina colada on the menu unfortunately

What an amazing place! Perfect for events in any scale. Rooms are very nice and stylish, with a mix of 'the classic brewery look' and modern times feel. Loved being here for an awesome event.

Made the mistake of going into a cafe where there were no other customers. I think I now know why. Visited the premises in the Square. Latte and croissant, paid immediately by card, lukewarm coffee, stale croissant then on leaving was accused of not paying. They made a check of their records and voila, it seems I had. Quite embarrassing and won’t be back.
