Having recently moved to the area, we decided to try this pub for lunch. Staff were very welcoming and our food arrived in good time and was of good quality. Our only criticism was that the plates were cold and so our food was getting cold before we finished eating, but otherwise everything was excellent and we'll definitely pay another visit in the future.

Me and my partner stopped here on the way home after a long day at Alton Towers and it was great. We were greeted promptly at the door and shown to our table in the restaurant, the service throughout the entire night was top notch! We opted for the creamy garlic mushrooms to start which were incredible. I had the pork belly for my main which was very tasty and the portion size was perfect; we finished off with the crumble which was once again, brilliant. Would definitely come back here again if we’re driving past, highly recommend!

I came in with my partner and everything was perfect. We were looked after by Bradley and he was so lovely and quick at getting us drinks as soon as we were seated. Food was 10/10, I had the pork belly and it was cooked to perfection and the jus that came alongside it was scrummy. My partner had the tagliatelle and its safe to say he devoured it.

Took my 90 year old mom to the restaurant for lunch as she loves ham, egg, and chips. Not exciting but it's what she likes. Our previous visit a few months ago was lovely. Proper chips, real ham, and free range eggs. Unfortunately on this occasion we were disappointed. The chips were undercooked, I think they may have been warmed up, and the ham was very tasteless and rubbery. The restaurant and staff are lovely. I would like to try a lunch again but would be reluctant to choose the ham egg and chips.

Needed a pub to meet daughter before a riding lesson at Ingestre stables. Picked this as convenient. Really glad we did - gorgeous Sunday lunch- lots of options including gluten free, vegetarian and Vegan. Daughter has dairy intolerance and they could not have been more helpful. Food was really tasty, plentiful and nicely presented. Really good value at £20 For two courses. Pub is mix of traditional on one side and smarter dining on other. Seemed to be dog friendly in pub side. Staff were friendly and happy to go extra mile. Really wish it was more local to us but will definitely return when in area

Great customer service, all the staff were brilliant couldn’t do enough to make the whole Xmas day experience special. The food was excellent, there was plenty but if you wanted more vegetables etc they were available. We were too full to manage our cheese and biscuits and mince pies so “doggy bags” were provided. Thank you to all the staff for making our family Xmas meal so enjoyable.

The building is really lovely - a beautiful pub. For dinner I ordered my go-to meal - steak medium-rare - but unfortunately it came out medium-well so it got sent back to the kitchen. When the next one came out, it was still overcooked, medium at best (everyone on my table agreed). I mentioned this to the waitress but my friends had all finished their meal by this point so I had little choice but to accept it or go hungry. Despite this experience, and the fact we stayed for 4 rounds of drinks, we weren't offered any money off the bill, so paid full price. Overall a disappointing outcome.

We came here on a Saturday for a bite to eat! The menu isn’t massive but there was lots of choice, including a special lunch menu. The main menu choices were too tempting and we went for those! Portions were large, tasty and so fresh. Lots of gluten free options too for my friend. The pudding options were also wonderful! We were so full but client resist. The cheesecake was homemade and probably the best I’ve ever tasted! The pub is cosy, traditional and lovely. Friendly staff and reasonable. Worth noting that parking is limited but plenty across the road at the village hall. (If mobility issues, just try and get in the car park!) Can’t wait to return! Thank you!

Visited for the first time in a very long time. Was very surprised with the changes , really liked the new extension they have built which makes the dining room a pleasant place to eat.The staff we're very polite and extremely knowledgeable of the menu. Our food was served hot, promptly and was delicious. The bar area was very busy with the local villagers enjoying a drink and chat.I recommend you book if you want to eat here as it was getting busy as we were leaving. If you like a large meal this is not the place for you. As my friend has a smaller appetite than I it was plenty for her.The team here are working hard to accommodate all and I hope they achieve there goal.Good luck!

Our first visit to the Bank House since LP took over and as you would expect it has been done out to a reasonable standard. The eclectic mix of odd and distressed tables and chairs is very trendy at the moment. Not to my taste but hey, I imagine its a very inexpensive way to fit out a dining area.We were a little unlucky to have decided to book in late afternoon on a Sunday to find a large family party with many young and noisy children. Not the restaurants fault, just one of those things. So the choices were from the Sunday fixed price menu that was priced at £14-95 for two courses and £16-95 for three, very reasonable so long as the food is good. We opted to miss starter and go for the turkey dinner and the lambs liver. The portions of meat were very small, 2 slices of turkey, 2 small pieces of liver. Enough for us with the generous servings of vegetables, but it did make us think maybe they were eeking out the meat as it was getting towards the end of service. For dessert we chose the lemon tart, very nice , and the meringue tart. Both were ok, not wow but good enough for the price. The drinks however are a bit expensive, £2-35 for a J2o and (I think) £6-50 for a glass of wine. Plastic shrub on the table was naff , and paper napkins are a bit low rent for an LP establishment. Overall I will happily return and would recommend the Bank House to friends. However we are just as likely to pay a bit more and go to the Dog and Doublet.

Bar area got the country pub feel with exposed low beams and open fire. The restaurant attached opens up into a light spacious area with oak beams and brickwork - nice feel to the place. We turned up as a group of 6 with no booking and were accommodated in the restaurant for a late lunch on Easter Saturday. This is not a bogof pub, the menu is quality food at reasonable prices. We opted for sandwiches which were spot on. Also served real ales which we duly sampled. Having visited other LP pubs locally this one is as good as the others.

We had a great meal in the bank house today, it was very quiet we arrived at 2:30 and they cook til 3pm we both had creamy mushrooms to start and I had the chicken BLT sandwich with chips which was very nice the chips tasted like they had come from a good Chippy, but that’s not a complaint they were very nice, my husband had the rump steak he usually goes for a rib eye but this wasn’t on the menu here, saying that his rump was very good cooked just how he likes it, medium, it just melted in his mouth, the staff were friendly, we only recently found out this pub is now part of the Lewis partnership group so we’re looking forward to trying it and seeing if it lived up to the standards of the other restaurants! And I must say the food certainly did, the bar man (sorry didn’t get his name) was friendly and attentive, there was a good variety on the menu, so we will be back for more in the future! The portions were a good size, the bread on my sandwich tasted home made! I really hope they keep the standards high here this is a lovely village pub...The only downside to this place is there is a scent of smoke that hits you as you walk through the bar but I guess this is something very hard to get rid of, but once in the restaurant the smell is non existent, so don’t let this put you off, the toilets were nice but the hand dryer could do with updating, not up to the usual standards of LP toilets but I guess they have just done a quick make over to get the pub re opened again. The food and service excellent so don’t let the hand dryer and the whiff of smoke put you off!

First time visit to the Bank House having seen the Sunday menu on Facebook. Service was very good, the food was plentiful and at just under£15 for two courses, represented extremely good value for money. Restaurant was a bit noisy but that was no fault of the Bank House - there were several large parties dining which made it a bit lively. Only a few parking spaces at the front of the restaurant but there is a free public car park opposite. Will definitely be returning for another meal.

Hate to leave a poor review when a vegan option has been provided, as am so grateful for that, but come on guys vegan food can be so much better! The vegan dishes seem to taste worse every time I come to the Bank House, and tonights was almost inedible. Is such a shame as I want to eat there, but £12.50 for a plate of barely edible rice with a few frozen vegetables in is not acceptable really. Am sorry, but I won't be returning until the menu changes.

Easy to use online booking system. Friendly and helpful staff, good menu and good food. However they forgot to place one of our orders in the kitchen, which meant 5 of us had virtually finished our meal when the final one was served, and that had been hastily and poorly cooked. In fairness they were very apologetic, and didn’t charge us for that meal, but it did rather spoil the evening. Having said that they did try very hard to put things right, so would try them again.

Hardly any fish and too much batter. Second time, Sunday lunch. Beef meal good. Vegetarian Hotpot too salty. Third time (today), Christmas menu. Prawn cocktail and pate both good. Mains, beef OK, Salmon, very small piece of fish. Both served in bowls making it difficult to eat without mixing all your food up. Nice vegetables and roast potatoes although the sprouts were under cooked. Will we be back? Probably as it's handy for us, however, we just can't get excited about the food and the service is a little slow at times. Good, but could do better.

Service was polite and efficient, with all staff still having a smile on their face, even though we didn't arrive until 3pm. The choices on both the menu and the specials board were nicely mixed. Starters were innovative with Black Pudding Scotch Egg with HP sauce as a special (and totally delicious) alongside Coronation Chicken Terrine with Melba Toast (proving a huge hit with the teenager). For the mains traditional options for us the older diners, roast beef and or roast turkey and all the trimmings were a definite and plentiful, with items such as Hunters Chicken available for a variation. And as for the deserts, well it was so hard to choose, but in the end it had to be sticky toffee pudding with custard. Declared by the husband as the best he'd ever tasted. With a lovely choice of Gins and cask ales to accompany your meal, or enjoy in the bar area, it is definitely worth seeking this place out. Can't wait to go again.

The food was good, nicely cooked and well presented. I had the 1/2 and 1/2 (half Roast Beef and half Turkey) which was a lovely twist. I can only give an average because the plates were cold, so the food went cold very quickly; we had no condiments offered - mustard etc and the waiter had been back and forth so often that I couldn't ask for another journey. The vegetables looked to be a too small a portion for 4 adults so we asked for more and they were willingly provided along with the extra gravy so after 4 trips to our table, I felt I couldn't ask for another trip.

Last minute decision to go out for lunch over the bank holiday weekend. Pleasantly surprised at the quality and quantity of food. The cauliflower cheese was beautiful. The service was polite and efficient if a bit shy ( not a criticism ). The only negative was the beer. Good beer was spoilt by poor pouring technique.

My son and I decided to revisit the bank house following its recent management change and were not disappointed. Friendly greeting and quickly shown to a table. We enjoyed our lunch of sausage and mash/ fish and chips freshly cooked and very tasty. Will return with the rest of our family

We stumbled upon the Bank House Inn after visiting Amerton Farm. We had a lovely lunch and a couple of drinks and were made to feel very welcome. My 18 month old daughter loved her scampi and I van highly recommend the spicy chicken.

Typical Costa food and drink but the service was not typical – it was terrible. Only one oven saw the wait for hot food being excessive and the way of working means that there is no way to ensure the correct order was taken by the correct person. One guy seemed to be waiting for ages and when my order (2 x Cumberland Sausage Toasties) was placed on the counter, he thought it may have been his. When I told him what I had, he mentioned that he had been waiting 15 minutes and still his order had not arrived. The Barista hearing this, checked and discovered that the order had been fulfilled but “someone must have picked it up in error”. Whilst the offer of replacement was quick, no offer of more coffee was made as the initial cups were either finished or cold. Take a tip from Starbucks – see how they handle queuing. As for the food. Just the same old Costa offerings.

Called in today for a lunch , usually I have a morning Cappuchino and delicious teacake but today went for a Cappuchino and Cheese and onion toasty which was delicious! Came with an ample pot of Coleslaw and salad Lovely Crusty bread, I also had a "small" glass of the House Ros which was one of the nicest I have tasted and fully complemented the meal.

Worst coffee I have had my trip to UK, and I have even had one from Greggs. Don't bother

Not eaten here for a while. However, we decided to give it a go. Two lattes and shared a fish n chips. Absolutely superb, crispy batter, moist fish and crunchy fat chips. The coffees were piping hot. Excellent food and good value. Staff friendly and obviously take pride in their work. Positive changes here 👍
