We really enjoyed this meal.. tasty & hot & portions were good.. delivered early, good value. It’s a favourite with us.

Our order was late, missing an item and completely cold. Not tepid, not slightly warm, freezing cold. Unacceptable. and just eat have refunded us £17 when the meal cost £30 and it had to go in the bin. Consider our custom well and truly lost!

Unfortunately two portions of rice were missing from the order, but having phoned the restaurant, they sent some out with some free poppadoms and mint sauce. Food was lovely as usual.

Always exquisite food from here but the naan breads have always been such a let down . Such a shame. But everything else stunning.

Went here to celebrate a special birthday and had 15 guests food was lovely but I'm afraid one server in particular was very very rude and abrupt Wen seated there were no plates or glasses on table a nice gent brought plates and Wen we asked for glasses several times we got them later on in the meal we asked for some water and the young rude waiter plonked a bottle of water on table as he rudely said for us to use the same glasses our bill for the evening was £300 not to be sniffed at I think so in future instruct your staff on much better people skills

Food was cold and didn’t seem fresh at all the prawns were very hard and inedible and the egg in the rice looked grey. Won’t order again had one a couple months ago and was lovely was completely different

Curry was very bland with no taste. The naan bread was incorrect and also under cooked. Will not be ordering from here again

First time ordering food from here & will be the last. Had to bin all the food. Chicken tikka masala has coconut in & I can’t eat coconut!! This was not in the list of ingredients. (Never had a tikka masala with in before). Also the tikka Balti was awful too. Total waste of money.

Ordered in advance of the restaurant opening. Was notified the delivery was delayed, so I rang and offered to collect instead. All in all, we waited 90 minutes for our order. The chips were undercooked, but hey, we were given a single popadom to share. Won’t be ordering again, even though we have filled the stamp card.

I’m sorry but this was not the usual Bangla Lounge standard. We’ve been using here for many years and while we know there’s always a wait for the food it’s usually worth it, but not this evening. The both portions of the pakora starter was dry and the chicken tamarind was majority sauce. After waiting 1.5hrs and spending what we did we expect more. I think we will try elsewhere for a while.

Used to order regular from here but it seems to have gone down hill. Masala chips were brown and just tasted like vinegar. Not much flavour to curry either

Went last week ang 100% tonight well totally different, booked a table ,treated badly

Usually always order from Bangala but they have seriously let me down on this occasion. Food was over 40 minutes late, when I rang the restaurant to query this they hung up on me. The food was cold and had hardly any flavour to it. Definitely a rush job.

Food was pretty decent although the masala chips were awful and half went in the bin. What I can’t forgive is the delivery service. An hour and a half to deliver a relatively small order when i live less than half a mile from the restaurant. What was worse was them telling me my food had been delivered while i was still waiting for it. A shame as always had decent service from here before. If i use them again it won’t be for quite some time i’m afraid.

Beautiful food unfortunately bag was stacked wrong so lost half the coriander chicken in the bag and it coated everything but we still enjoyed it !

Keema naan was burnt on the outside which made it inedible also and no keema meat in it...plain naan was ok

Only issue we had was the lamb was horrible

perfect as always bit disappointed with the changing of korma recipe but can't complain as I had the tikka too :)

This is my favourite balti restaurant in Birmingham and the food is always consistently good. We have been using the restaurant for many years, it’s simply great food. Really nice pleasant and friendly staff who are always very polite and welcoming, Very Highly recommended.

Only 2nd time ordered from here but won’t be ordering again. Chicken tikka main was dry in the tub with no onions. Looked like it had been microwaved. I know naan is cooked in oven but it was black on the one side so couldn’t eat it

Visited here numerous times staff friendly and food very good. One of the nicest Indian restaurants in the area. Would definitely recommend

Bangla Lounge is a very nice Indian restaurant. It has a very pleasant atmosphere and is well laid out. The staff were excellent and very efficient. The food was excellent and the portions were very generous. All in all a great place to eat. Highly recommended.

Ordered a chicken tikka masala - received just a pot of masala sauce. Contacted just eat who believe it’s okay to just send sauce even though it’s supposed to contain meat… also charged for it to contain meat! Naan bread also so over cooked it was hard as a rock and inedible. Won’t be ordering from here again, we’ve tried a few times and the order is never correct

Really lovely food. Not quick but not late so we could tell it was cooked fresh and to order.....if that makes sense?!

Chicken tikka masala was lovely as we're the chips and tikka starter , my kids did not like the nuggets, and my partner said the lamb was nice in the balti but said he hadn't had a balti sauce like it he wasn't a fan. Food was hot when served.

Went for a meal with friends there was an awful elvis tribute singer on who was so loud he was awful we couldn’t place our order as he was so loud the walls were vibrating. Our food arrived which the starter was very bland and our chicken balti was very hot and spicy 😡definitely wasn’t a balti .. hardly touched as it wasn’t very nice.. we did complain about how loud the singer was which the staff then made us feel a little awkward for mentioning it!!! I wouldn’t recommend this curry house and definitely will not be returning!!!!!!

Noticed on the last 2 deliveries than the Nan breads have shrunk in size yet still charging the same price .

My meal took over 1 gr to arrive and when it did it was cold had to reheat not happy customer

A very disappointing meal from Bangla Lounge. It was delivered 40-60 minutes after the ETA. The food was lukewarm at best and the naan bread was charcoaled on the one side, making it inedible.

It was late but worth the wait, best I’ve had in a long time, the kids couldn’t get enough of their chicken korma, they loved it.

Excellent food really tasty arrived hot and a very professional delivery person . Was supposed to be running late with delivery was kept informed but it arrived in the original time schedule.

I've thought about writing this review now for quite some time but my experience as a customer today has finally made me write this. I have been a customer for over 15 years here and the last 5 years the quality of food has deteriorated. Today we ordered 4 papadums and once I got home to unpack my takeaway we had 1 crushed papadum in a bag. The restaurant did offer an apology and gave plenty back in return, however the rest of the food was still really poor when eating, including burnt, back pieces of bitter onion running through our rice (pic)and a metallic taste to the masala. We have had burnt food, heavy naans, mis-orders and repeated slackness for the best part of 5 years now. I hope this review acts as a bit of a 'kick up the ar£e' as standards here continue to lower. We will not remain loyal to our 'local' if this happens again, and based upon the majority of reviews over the past 18 months I am not alone in stating how poor this restaurant has become.

The food was delicious but received the wrong curry. I asked for a Chicken Bhuna but received a Chicken Pathia which was too spicy for me. Other than that it was good 👍

Once it arrived lovely curry !!! We eat here often so we knew the quality would be good order placed at 19:10 estimated delivery time 8:15-8:30 not bad …. 8:50 still nothing was told would be here by 9 finally arrived at 9:20. Word if advice be realistic with delivery times in busy periods was more frustrated we were given a false time rather then just being told were busy its going to be quite a while longer l.

This still has to be one of the top indian restaurants in the Midlands. Great range of meals to select from, especially for non-meat eaters as they will use Quorn. This opens up more choices for vegetarians. Perfect blend of spices, for the curry taste buds. This is a licensed restaurant so you can enjoy a drink with your meal.

Max 90 mins given for delivery. App updates state it was delivered at 2005hrs. Strange as we rang the restaurant at 2030hrs to find out where our meal was as it had now been an hour and 40 mins. Eventually arrived five mins after.

Best curry in Halesowen. Always top quality and lovely staff.

Meal was over an hour late, when I called the restaurant told it won't be much longer, it sadly was. Food was bland and not very tasty. Very disappointed will not be using again.

We where a family of 6 adults and 3 little ones aged 5,2,1. We arrived at opening time of 5.30 as the little ones eat early. We where the first people to arrive ,the restaurant was empty. We had poppadom starter then ordered the mains at approx 5.50pm, at 6.45 the kids meals arrived after prompting waiters, ours arrived after with no naan breads after asking again they finally came after we had virtually finished our meal. The waiter said there were kitchen problems but whilst sitting waiting for our meals we saw many large carrier bags of take aways being taken to the front of the restaurant. We felt we had made the effort to visit but were not looked after and take aways were cooked before our meals.another table of 5 who came in at 6.15 had their meals just after us. We felt we were a hindrance to their take away meals by eating early. Disappointing as the food was good but service was very poor. Especially as we could have ordered takeaway and eaten earlier with a 20% discount and without paying for expensive drinks. They did take naan bread off the bill as we had virtually finished our meals when they came. Wouldn't come back as there are much better Indian restaurants.

Food was good and reasonably priced. Unfortunately the hospitality was poor, felt we were not welcome and were an inconvenience to the staff.

Arrived early, very well packaged, poppadom's were very fresh, they often go soft in a takeaway bag, all the food was great, very tasty, very happy with everything.

Poppadoms we’re stale (only reason I ordered a curry) chips were luke warm and not enjoyable at all. Considering I am five minutes down the road I’d expect all of the food to be a little warmer. Not as good as eating in.

Food was late but we were notified which was fine, it came and it was all hot, absolutely beautiful food, the keema chicken tikka balti was insane, I can’t wait to order again!! 10/10

Our food arrived 2.5 hours late and containers had spilt over the rest of our food which spoilt everything else and the chicken dish we ordered had 1 piece of chicken in and the chicken tikka looked like it had been there for 2.5 hours , food was also cold . Called to ask where our food was after the normal 1.5 hour wait time and was told they are extremely busy and was spoken too quite rudely .

Hour and a half after delivery time and still waiting, spoken to restaurant who don’t care and just say left 5 minutes ago and it’s just eats problem. Disgusting service

Food over 2 hours late, I appreciate being busy, but don't take on more than you can handle, always ordered from here and food is normally good and delivery prompt, but very disappointed this time!

I am frustrated this took 2 hours to be delivered to me just over and also it come and the food was completely cold I am not happy just eat said that it was delivered and it wasn’t I called the place they said it will be another 20 minutes!!!

The madras was very dissatisfying- literally no spice and tasted like a watered down balti. The wife’s spicy tikka masala on the other hand was lovely.

Unpleasant experience. Firstly coffee was cold and when i explained it was cold i was told its because i had put the cream in it that accompanied the coffee. Now im not new to drinking coffee but a bit of cream doesn't make it cold. They proceeded to return my coffee warmed up in a microwave as after having made me feel like i was lying about it being cold and i felt uncomfortable onwards. Food came out and my friends chapatis were overcooked black and crispy not like soft bread there supposed to be. They were obviously precooked and sitting on the grill before hand for some as was the coffee in the pot at the side of the room. There was only us and another customer in who also had burnt chapatis, a quiet evening to difficult to cater for. They returned with fresh chapatis at the end of our meal was to late. They wasn't happy we weren't going to eat them or pay for them and the waiter even went over with another waiter to check the coffee pot after all this and said the coffee isn't cold its hot. Luke warm is not hot and they charge for coffee. Meal was ok, meat was pretty decent but curry was very oily with a burnt oil taste to it i found hard to stomach after. Service was so rude and almost hostile i wouldn't recommend this place. Attitude with them is put up shut up pay up and leave. So i wont return.

Noisy, rude staff member and not so good food, I was eating my food and the barman came across leaned over me my wifes food and took the starter cutlery, I couldn't believe it, I told him to go away , then he went to take my wife's plate, that's when I told him.to f____,ff, they can't get you out quick enough, I've been in 3 weeks on the trot, never again, ameena here I come, they just want you in and out, please go somewhere else, this place is vile.

I booked an early time slot to celebrate my wife and sons birthday and ordered our meals, the staff were not interested and could not be bothered to even slightly engage with us as we asked for more drinks and the dessert menu. My wife and I used to go there since we were engaged some eighteen years ago and have regular takeaways but not anymore.....a very disappointing night out never again!

Had a message with plenty of notice that the order was running late. I don't mind this at all when told up front. Later on, i had another message to say it was on its way and two minutes later it arrived. Its the first time I've seen the communication between a restaurant and i work how I would hope. Really pleased with how the restaurant commincated using the app as intended. Thank you
