Bangla Lounge Restaurant in Dudley

Me and my family decided to meet up for a meal, after Christmas to celebrate the new year. But we simply had no idea on where to go. On thinking I remember in my time, when I lived in Halesowen remembered this place. We decided then we would go and try it out, on arrival, my first notice was on how much the place had changed and not for the better, the floor looked dirty and also did the tables, not good start. I also noticed the restaurant was three quarters empty, one side of it had the lights turned off and the aircon was also switched off on that side, so was freezing cold. There must have only been 3 occupied tables, with a total of 6 to 8 diners, the waiter showed us to our table, the table was small and put such a position to seat all of us would have a been a squash. I kindly asked if we could to moved to a bigger table, but the waiter flatly refused rudely saying that the restruemt was full and no more tables where available!!!!!! I kindly asked for the manager, and was told that this waiter was the manager!!! Again this was advised to me very rudely, by the manager, and other guests stared to look across and comment. Me and my group decided to leave, but then the manger pulled another table over to join to the one we already had, this was done with words under his breath, and not very nice at all. As it was cold outside and the time was ticking on, we decided to stay and put all what had happened behind us. We then quickly placed our drinks and food orders. We all got talking then on our plans for the new year and drinks arrived. We talked for quite a time after ordering our food, it was close now on to 35 minutes, with no food not even a starters!!!!!!!! I asked where our food was, and again this “manager” came over complain to me on why I was complaining!!!! He went on about the staff are working really hard and they are flat out, what with 3 tables occupied and now 12 only diners. By this time we all had had enough of this person and this place in general, we paid for our drinks and left. This is common practice in a lot of so called restaurants, where they delay your food so you spend more on drinks, this makes them a bigger profit. This is NOT the place I remember and would not let a dog eat there, the manager is very rude, a 5.1” with glasses and beard, and a very rude mouth. If you are thinking about eating here, think twice, walk away and don’t eat here, there are better restaurants in Halesowen. Stay Away, rude vile manager and staff. Disgusting rude and a place that needs a good cleaning.

Didn’t taste like a balti to me Left half of it

having read other people's comments I was worried about what I would get, not the best Indian meal I've had ,chicken tikka masala didn't taste like one , some of the rice was hard and the meat grisely, no salad, mint sauce or complimentary poppadoms, on the plus side the naan breads were nice and the food was hot and it arrived within the time frame quoted

I love bangla lounge, never had a bad experience. However the delivery time was late but just eat kept me updated 👍🏼

food was horrendous, my chicken tikka starter was freezing cold as in just out the fridge cold. my balti was over salted and the naan was stale nothing was warm

First time ordering from here sorry to say but food was so disappointing no flavour, no taste to curries plus nans was burnt ,had oil drenched on containers will not be ordering from here again

Very average and bland again very disappointing. Will give them one last chance but seriously running out of chances. Used to be one of the best in Halesowen but dropping fast.

Food was lovely as always, couldn’t fault it. Delivery was an hour late and we even had to call the restaurant twice to see where it was, was told it was nearly there, 35 mins later still hadn’t turned up.

The forgot the popedom's last time and i have them another chance and this time they were late. Don't think i will bother again. i ordered at 6:55 and its now 8:45pm. food was cold and had to put in the microwave

only thing that was nice was the poppadoms and red dips. rice had a horrible taste to it, the chicken tikka masala was like paste and not nice. seesh kebabs tasted reheated and everything was cold. even forgot my chips! which is like £4!! after waiting nearly 2 hours for delivery I was overly disappointed. and no refund from just eat either.

Really not good from you guys and am unfortunately finding it to become more and more hit and miss from here. When it’s good it’s unreal when it’s bad only the bin gets fed

poppadoms were on the bottom all crushed up. curries had too much masala taste to it. not the best experience at all

on the just eat app it has delivery time of 35 mins to an hour however it was in fact 2 hours. i rang the restaurant and they said thats normal delivery times. food came eventually, cold and clearly been sat for a while before being delivered. also the balti didnt really taste like a baltie and my keema naan had no keema meat in. most definitley will not be ordering from these again. my advice find another indian to order from

food was cold, the chips were terrible. the curry was inedible and the keema nan was like putty with no keema in it. very very disappointing

Chicken pakora arrived and the batter was soggy. We couldn’t even eat and had to chuck in the bin. Requested a refund but didn’t hear back. Garlic naan arrived stone cold and we had to reheat also. Everything else was nice, just let down by those items and the fact we waited over an hour and. Half in total for food .

when our order came one of the items was incorrect, was my husband meal. I called and they offered to replace the curry and the naan and it was here in 20 mins. was impressed at the rectification and the speed at which it was delivered. Thank you and the quality wasn't compromised was very tasty.

Food was really nice. Great flavours. BUT... I had a Paneer Saag, only to find a piece of mutton in it. luckily I'm not vegetarian, but I have real concerns for the cross contamination of foods within your kitchens. My friend who I was having the meal with is a Vegetarian and it's a good job I got to that dish first. Very disappointed.

Lamb dish was like it had had a bag of sugar put in it so over sweet it was so sickly couldn't eat it. Rest of the food was average at a push normally so much better from here!

The delivery time of the app was long nearly 2 hours, so for the food to be over an hour later than this is awful service. I rang 3 times to find out where my order was for them to then change the expected delivery time. On arrival the food was luke warm st best. There response was we gave you a free poppadom. Not the response I expected after 3 hours and cold food.

order delayed massively, food still arrived cold. had to chase. quality was really poor and my chicken tikka had 5 pieces in, won't be ordering again x

originally my order was scheduled for 8 50pm only to be told it was then 9 20pm and still it arrived at 9 30pm so from the original time 40 minutes late

Food is always amazing however not the first time it's been delivered really late, they are unable to cope when there are promotions on just eat. plus no naan bread arrives and I got chicken tikka rather than shashlik

Food is usually good from here. However, tonight I ordered at 7pm, the food finally arrived at 9:10pm. Starter- prawns, were over cooked. The curry was watery and tasteless. Not impressed.

bangla lounge make beautiful food but just lately the delivery times have become a problem. the last 3 times we have ordered, the foods been delayed and delivered late.

Tikka masala was very average, and the peshwari naans were sodden with an extreme amount of syrup on - way too sweet.

Disappointed with the order usually very good but today the korma didn’t taste very nice and the lamb in it was very very dry. Onion pakoras were cold and chewy. Last few times I’ve ordered it’s been lovely but not this time unfortunately.

We really enjoyed this meal.. tasty & hot & portions were good.. delivered early, good value. It’s a favourite with us.

Our order was late, missing an item and completely cold. Not tepid, not slightly warm, freezing cold. Unacceptable. and just eat have refunded us £17 when the meal cost £30 and it had to go in the bin. Consider our custom well and truly lost!

Unfortunately two portions of rice were missing from the order, but having phoned the restaurant, they sent some out with some free poppadoms and mint sauce. Food was lovely as usual.

Always exquisite food from here but the naan breads have always been such a let down . Such a shame. But everything else stunning.

Went here to celebrate a special birthday and had 15 guests food was lovely but I'm afraid one server in particular was very very rude and abrupt Wen seated there were no plates or glasses on table a nice gent brought plates and Wen we asked for glasses several times we got them later on in the meal we asked for some water and the young rude waiter plonked a bottle of water on table as he rudely said for us to use the same glasses our bill for the evening was £300 not to be sniffed at I think so in future instruct your staff on much better people skills

Food was cold and didn’t seem fresh at all the prawns were very hard and inedible and the egg in the rice looked grey. Won’t order again had one a couple months ago and was lovely was completely different

Curry was very bland with no taste. The naan bread was incorrect and also under cooked. Will not be ordering from here again

We have used this takeaway quite a few times through just eat .When we were about to order yesterday we had an offer of 40percent off which we thought was great we offered our usual food and awaited delivery this turned up 10 mins before they actually said which was great when we opened the bag it was apparent then 40 percent off was also to the size and quality I have to say it was the worst meal we have ever had from there

terrible cold food and late, tried to blame a road closure which I know only takes 2mins to go round!! Food was bland and dried up and stone cold.

My first time there on friday 24th may 2024 and must say a wonderful experience & we will be back for more soon superb quality food very friendly and helpful staff all evening lovely restaurant i recommend the recommend it to you if your around the high street please pop in you won.t be dissapointed full marks to everyone John

First time ordering food from here & will be the last. Had to bin all the food. Chicken tikka masala has coconut in & I can’t eat coconut!! This was not in the list of ingredients. (Never had a tikka masala with in before). Also the tikka Balti was awful too. Total waste of money.
