We have always had very good lunches from Banging Baps, but I think since they have changed hands the quality has definitely gone down. I always have a Prawn Wrap and fillings have always been generous. Over the last month or two the fillings have been going down. The wrap I have just had literally only had 6 prawns in there and the rest was just lettuce. Very disappointing and probably won’t go back now. Great shame as we like to support local people, but not good on value for money. I do realise that businesses have to make a profit, but I can’t justify spending the money on a wrap full of lettuce and nothing else!

Staff really friendly but the food was overpriced for what I had (baguette) and quite tasteless. The staff were very helpful really filled the roll up but very expensive for what it is. Like to support local businesses but didn’t think this company was competitive.

Banging baps was recommended to me, very disappointed. Staff were lovely, but the roll was very dry with very little filling.

Went in this afternoon. Had an amazing coffee but couldn’t but help feel like they were understaffed today. They were all rushing around working as hard as they could, but definitely could do with an Extra pair of hands. However, will not fault the quality of the coffee as it was amazing as normal. Don’t know if it’s an issue with lack of employees available or if that’s all they could put on at once but I felt as thought the level of service dropped due to this.

We've been meeting up monthly there for a good few months for something to eat. It's got a good menu and the food is. OK Recently we've come across a middle aged bloke working there who is rude and sarcastic so we'll find somewhere else in Charminster to meet up.

The staff were very rude and the building was unsafe and can cause you injuries. I went to the toilet to wash my hands and accidentally hit the top of my head on the door frame when leaving the bathroom (which was too low, despite me only being 5'11"). After I explained to whoever was in charge that I hit my head on the door frame in the toilet, she said that I should "use my eyes" and that there was writing on the other door frames (but not the one I hit my head on) and that I should look where I am going in the future like "normal people". I tried to explain that all that was needed was some padding or something colourful to stop people hitting their heads but she wasn't interested in my recommendations and was extremely rude and disrespectful, insisting that the writing she had was enough warning, and that it was my own fault I was injured. Not only was I left with a severe headache but was also treated so rudely and disrespectfully by a member of staff I'm never going back here again and recommend everyone else avoid this place also.

Unfortunately we did not see the sign that said take a seat and someone would be with you shortly. We asked the girl behind the counter for a coffee and a tea, she took the order and we showed her where we would be sitting, informing us she would come over and take the order. Another man came in went straight to the counter and ordered food and drink and went and sat down. So my husband went up to the counter and asked for a bacon and sausage sandwich to be told .... "I can't do everything at once, I'm making you coffee and tea" and threw her hands up in the air. She was so rude, I could not believe she spoke to a customer that way. I work in customer service and I would have been sacked for speaking to a customer that way on the spot. It was not busy and she was certainly not run off her feet. Lesson in customer service 1 Hello how can I help you 2 Please take a seat and I will be with shortly 3 Go to table and take the order and smile!! and say "I will make your drinks and you food order will be with you shortly 4 Upsell - ask the customer if there is anything else I can help you with Positive .... the sandwich was lovely.

A small and very friendly place for a break from shopping. Whether for a late breakfast, lunch or just a drink. Very reasonable price too
