A nice spot to stop for a hot or cold drink and ice cream. The service was good and we although not playing at the time of our visit we believe music is played here at various times.

The seafront at Broadstairs is a pleasant place visit for the day with the bandstand taking centre stage. Adjacent to this is the Bandstand Café where you can enjoy hot and cold food/drinks very reasonable priced and of a quality equal to the local restaurants. the staff are polite and nothing is too much trouble. Well worth a visit.

We visited this Band stand Sunday as they had live music. The band were great and it was nice to see that people adhered to the Covid rules for this venue . After about 1 hour we became hungry soo went over to the cafe and ordered two cheese burgers with salad that cost £4 each. When they turned up we were surprised of how good they were , quality bun , great burger with salad .

We heard "Arthur" setting up his nostalgic singing stage on the Bandstand and sat down to listen to his rendition of some "foot tapping" songs. We ordered a Jacket Spud with Cheese and a Bacon, Brie and Cranberry Panini. When they arrived we were both pleasantly surprised at how great they were! That was the best Panini I've had for years! The sunshine and music all helped to make this a very memorable experience. I have to say that the service was very very professional too. We then met some local JWs with a literature cart and stopped for a chat, lovely genuinely caring people! Thank you Broadstairs, what a pleasant surprise, we'll be back!

the wait for drinks is incredibly long, and £2.50 each for black coffee to take away was alot i thought. ordered to drinks at the same time but had to wait about 5 minuets for the next one to arrive! £1.20 for a can of coke aswell however its an ideal location and does get very busy. staff were nice and friendly just annoyed at the long wait which i dont think was their fault it seemed to be a slow coffee machine that does 1 drink at a time.

We visited The Bandstand Kiosk in Broadstairs on a warm Saturday afternoon in July. We had travelled to Broadstairs specifically to see a performance at the Bandstand itself and bought a cup of coffee and a tea here before settling down for the event. We chose to travel to Broadstairs by train wishing to avoid any potential traffic problems and parking difficulties and the mainline railway station is an easy ten minute walk from the main beach. The Bandstand area is in a pleasant location at one end of the main beach, high up on the cliffs. The kiosk serves this area directly and has a good range of drinks and snacks for the potential visitor. The kiosk has its own set of tables and chairs (which I believe had a table service as well), from which it is possible to view the bandstand from the side though we chose to sit in the ‘free’ seating provided for the bandstand itself as this gave a better view of the performers. As well as serving drinks and snacks, the kiosk also had a small stock of tourist leaflets including a ‘what’s on’ guide for 2018, the young man who served me was polite and the drinks were served in cardboard cups with a plastic lid (note this was the ‘takeaway’ service). There are public toilets nearby not associated with the kiosk though note that these are reached via a flight of steps and were a bit ‘tired’ though functional. Would certainly consider returning here on another visit if the weather was good.

I rate this place with 3 stars. Visited here while attending the firework display along with a friend on 25/07/18 and as we go to the near by ice cream parlour each time we decided that for a change we would try one of the OREO SUNDAES that are advertised outside. Upon being stood in the que I instantly noticed that the prices were very reasonable , the establishment is very clean and well presented and the staff all seem smiley and kind . upon reaching my turn I asked for an Oreo Sundae and was simply told that they are not doing sundaes (this in spite of them being advertised). I asked when they would be doing them and the member of staff said that it would be after the fireworks so my friend said that we would return after the fireworks to by a sundae then however another member of staff then said that if we wanted one then we would have to return the next day. At no point were we offered or given any explanation as to why the kiosk was refusing to serve the SUNDAES that are clearly advertised at the window. Me and my friend agreed that logic would be to remove the signs (which would take very little or no effort at all seeing as they appear to only be paper) during the times when the product advertised isn't being offered for sale which surely has to be a better alternative to having people que up only to be disappointed upon reaching the serving window. We then ended up going to the ice cream parlour that we had walked past in the first place where they were only too happy to serve us the products that were being advertised. Overall I have awarded this establishment 3 points out of 5 for its near presentation, good prices, attractive staff and cleanliness. I feel unable to give it the other two possible points due to the fact that 1. I cannot rate a product that is unavailable to try and 2. The illogical way in which products are advertised when they are not available. If they could just iron out these rough spots then this business has the potential to be one of the best around.

We visit every summer on a regular basis and usually love our time here. However, on a recent visit we noticed the prices of the bacon sandwiches have increased despite the quality of bacon being highly reduced (economy looking). Spent a blustery half hour in May sitting here with a mug of tea and a jacket potato with tuna and salad. As soon as the plate of food arrived the seagull landed. My vision was totally blocked by large wings in my face and he instantly took off again as he landed on the top of my hot mug of tea. He sent it flying when he propelled himself for lift off and the mug smashed on the floor. All the other 3 tables were staring and could not believe it either. They promptly gave me another mug of tea and checked I was okay. Beware - if you take the elderly or young, it could be upsetting if a seagull gets this close again.

Lovely to see the bandstand cafe back open for the season. We sat here for 20 mins this sunny Sunday and listened to the end of the amazing faversham mission brass band. Broadstairs was as busy as you'd imagine on the first really lovely day of the year but we were lucky to get there as someone was leaving so grabbed a table. We'd wandered round the town looking for the perfect spot that combined a sunny seat and good coffee. We only had a cup of filter each but it was very good, served in large cups and brought out to us with a dog biscuit for our pooch. We've passed here so often and never stopped but I think it will become a favourite.

We have never eaten here before although every visit we take a walk up to the bandstand. Sandwich prices at first do seem very expensive but the portions of filling are lovely! Ham & cheese sandwich on thick white bread, with salad and crisps £5.75. BLT, with salad and crisps £5.50. Cheaper if you just have plain ham or cheese. They also do a breakfast menu. Cartons of drink 90p, latte £2.00. The owners/workers seem very friendly. Lovely little place and if you get they for 2:30 on a Sunday you will get to see and listen to the band. Tea arrived within a minute or two followed soon after by our breakfast. So, there we were sat outside in the glorious sunshine amongst a crowd of Victorian people eating our breakfast and feeling rather underdressed. The chap later told us that they were there for the Broadstairs Dickensian Week.Breakfast was hot and delicious and the staff very friendly. I've visited here many many times over the last few years and this place is constantly improving which, given that it's always been pretty damn good, is a credit to the owners. The food quality and pricing is spot on and weather dependant, is my preferred lunch spot in town. Considering they have a small amount of space there, the menu is varied and interesting and the kitchen turns out good quality generous dishes. In the last 3 weeks I've met friends there for lunch (Greek salad platter amazing) had a large family lunch (7 of us) and we all had the club sandwiches which were lovely and I've also popped in to indulge in their 3 tier coffee and walnut cake which at just £2 a massive slab (it's not really a slice) is big enough to share if you're feeling generous (although it's so gorgeous you might just want to keep it to yourself) Drinks are well priced and varied, the coffee's good and they sell grapefruit San pelligrino, my absolute favourite! I've selfishly hesitated writing this long overdue review because I think this place is still a bit undiscovered by the mass of tourists who throng the town and just hit the beach and chip shops and ideally I don't want it to change BUT they deserve this review and if you like great food, a friendly service team in a lovely location then this is the place for you. Just hope for sun when you visit - although they do have lovely snuggly blankets you can wrap up in if it's a bit overcast. Nice touch!

Our friends recommended the Bandstand Kiosk on a recent trip to Broadstairs as a good, cheap place to get lunch. Looking like a converted public toilet with tinny seating scraping over a paved driveway-cum-bandstand area, it doesn't look much. But, I ate the BEST sandwich ever. I am giving the place 5/5 for 'food' IF we assume that it is a sandwich you fancy.Only tip I'd give is that, should you go there, discourage any children with you from playing any type of ball game. A moustachioed, Wackford Squeers-like gentleman (manager of the Bandstand Kiosk?) whose manner had been easy and gentlemanly as we ate, lost his temper after our four under 5s had started kicking an inflatable plastic ball 10 metres from the seating area. Now, admittedly he did have a point - why would others want their meals interrupted by balls flying into their chairs? - but HOW he said it; bit disproportionate considering we'd just paid him £70 for SANDWICHES. Good lunch boxes for kids. The staff run a nice cafe here and I would recommend all those visiting Broadstairs drop in - definitely go again (without the ball).

Nothing quite sums up a summer day like the Bandstand. Whether its bacon and eggs for breakfast, sandwiches for lunch or just tea, cake and ice cream the service, atmosphere and location are amazing. The portions are sizeable if you want but are just as easily scaled down if you prefer and you get some absolute treats like the pulled pork and cheese (my personal favorite). This is the only place I know that stills sells Camp coffee and they make it beautifully. I always accompany it with a piece of one of their wonderful homemade cakes. The service is always first class. One of my favourite places in Broadstairs!

Sitting outside on a sunny day with a view of the sea this is a great cafe. The breakfast at £6.50 is fantastic value and is a full English at its best. No indoor seating.

So much more than you you could ever expect. Amazing food, great location and lovely staff. We always make sure any visit to Broadstairs is started with breakfast 'beyond the sea' and are always tempted back for a scrummy lunch or a humongous slab or cake with a pot of tea or posh coffee. Such an asset to Broadstairs beachfront.

This may look like a seaside kiosk but the food is excellent. On a sunny day we sat at one of the pretty tables overlooking the sea and shared an excellent Greek platter. Generous portions, everything fresh, service friendly and helpful, we felt like we were on holiday in the Med. Also there was live music at the bandstand to keep us entertained. Perfect

The breakfast extravaganza is one of the best full English breakfasts i've had. It was a big portion but with quality ingredients and well cooked. Includes tea of coffee for £6.50. Great place to sit on a warm day. Looks to be a good choice on the menu for other meals too. Outdoor seating only.

My wife ordered a Coronation Chicken Sandwich. I thought that at £5 odd it was a bit pricey. BOY WAS I WRONG! It was served with crisps and salad and a knife and fork, which was needed. It was extreamley well filled with incredibly high quality Coronation Chicken. My wife was in raptures about it and insisted I try it, Deeeeelicious! I had an Egg Mayo Sandwich which was equally as well presented. With Arthur James entertaining on the Bandstand one has to ask where else could you get such high quality food and entertainment for so little money. Well worth a trip out to find this little gem.

A fantastic place for takeaway lunch. The takeaway bag is made up of a huge doorstep sandwich full of amazing fillings which come with a boxed salad, crisps and a packet of knives forks, salt and pepper etc. A perfect takeaway lunch for a fantastic price, so pleased I found this in time for the summer on the beach.

I would highly recommend a visit to the bandstand kiosk. The food was excellent, the attention to detail was fantastic, cushions, blankets and hot water bottle were provided for chilli days. Friendly staff and a great location.

Don't be put off by the fact that this is a kiosk. The food is outstanding. The owner and staff genuinely friendly (no shallow tip-seeking facade) and do their very to best ensure you have a great visit. The tables and chairs are high quality. This particular visit was a repeat for us and we sat in a cold, easterly wind - so good is the food! Blankets and hot water bottles were provided. Very classy.

This is not your normal kiosk ! The first time we went the food was top notch, service was good and I was definitely returning. When I did return we sat at our table and the waitress served another couple who sat after us, not the worse thing in the world, but then went and served some one else who again sat down after us. As you can imagine this is quite annoying, so I thought I would go to the counter to give my order, orders aren't taken at the counter so I gave up. I returned on another occasion, as the food is just fab, and again we were overlooked. So have just given up which is a real shame as they have created something special

This cafe by the sea is fabulous. I cannot praise it highly enough. From the fabulous home cooked varied menu to the helpful polite staff. They have thought of everything even providing cushions for the seats and blankets when the temperature drops. They will even get you a hot water bottle for those of us who love to sit outside but feel the cold. We will definitely use this cafe all over the summer when friends visit there is so much on the menu we want to try.

This is definitely not your average sea side cafe. Excellent imaginative lovely fresh salads, and the Turkish style salad with haloumi cheese was excellent. Well worth the visit.

Went for lunch with a friend Have been here before for tea and cake Sat at a table in the sun decided to move when one with a sun shade became free as I got up my brand new trousers caught on 2 prices of the plastic wicker chair that had come losses and were sticking out. I hadn't noticed this when sitting down as I couldn't pull the chair out fully due to lack of space. My trousers were damaged. I informed the waiter who just said sorry, and he would remove the chair. This wasn't done until as we left, I told another member of staff. If I had had bare legs, I would have had a nasty cut. We ordered jacket potato with chilie and salad. Which was quite nice . However my friends coffee was cold. Informed the same male member of staff who said the machine was playing up he took the cup and returned the same half drunk coffee to the table it had obviously just been put in the microwave. Sadly, I now have a damaged pair of trousers that I will have to pay to be mended, and we were not even given a full cup Of fresh coffee. Needless to say, we won't be returning.

Watery ice cream - yuck. Unfortunately I think the proprietors forgot to add the ice cream powder to the liquid today. Within 30seconds of having the cones the “ice cream” was melting and it was very watery tasting. It is advertised as Jersey ice cream which surely means it should be creamy?

Came here for breakfast. The staff were very friendly and chatty. The coffee was delicious and my omelette was done to perfection. Meal was reasonably priced and I wasn't waiting long at all.
