Banana Tree Windsor in Windsor and Maidenhead

Jadwiga was brilliant and very helpful with my dietary requirements.

Place looks amazing so was excited to check it out, only to be disappointed. Starters were tasty and warm, but waited over an hour for the main and couldn't see staff to chase this up, when food did arrive it was cold and noodles were hard and chewy. The restaurant wasn't overly busy so not sure what was going on. We heard several other customers waiting ages for food, to the point they told customers waiting not to bother coming in as they won't be fed. Staff didn't seem bothered and it seems like takeaway order's were prioritised. Don't think I'll be returning.

Made a booking, showed up on time with a not so busy atmosphere still had to wait 10 minutes to get seated and another 20 minutes for one out of the 4 servers to come over and take our order, napkins were wrinkled and dirty. my food came first and I finished all of it before my girlfriend even got her order, they also tried over charging me £25 pounds more than I should have but this was quickly corrected also wrote that it was my girlfriends birthday on the special requests form online and nothing birthday related was provided. if you wanna eat similar food I recommend thaikun you’ll have a much more pleasant time, I also asked the bald man behind the bar to move tables as there were many tables empty cause the couple next to us were using the chop sticks as a drum set and got told no as the tables were dirty, (go clean it then mate) very bad experience calamari is frozen and overpriced chicken wings same duck was dry and chewy I believe they sat all the customers on one side of the restaurant to make clean up easier, pure laziness I’m 21 and have worked in restaurants and bars most of my life I don’t have high standard but I expect the minimum and know the standard of service that should be provided. Not even a hello how are you at the door Not trying to be a dick but come on banana tree sort it out I expected better

Cold, dingey restaurant with zero atmosphere. Two servers serving an entire restaurant of people. Super stingey too - kids meal said it came with crudités, which was exactly 1 cucumber and 1 carrot stick. They gave us 1 pack of crayons for 2 kids. Waited aaaages for mains and then kids had pretty much finished their meal by the time we got ours. No warmth, absolutely freezing. Don’t go if you want a decent meal

The Theatre Royal Windsor is currently running the play "Dial M for murder"....well at the BananaTree they are busy performing "Dial B for Ballsup"! At the end of a day trip to Windsor we decided to grab a quick bite and a drink before heading home. We chose BananaTree as we'd eaten in their London restaurants and they was always very good. Sadly, the same cannot be said of their branch in Windsor. Oh dear.....where to begin???? The table setting...only one water glass between two people, three chopsticks between two people ( you get the idea)....good job we're married! The young man who took our order struggled to understand us....this became patently obvious as the meal went on as the mistakes mounted. It wasn't a difficult order, one noodles, one curry, two sides and two drinks...simples!!! Literally minutes after ordering my husbands noodles arrived ..but no drinks. I waited and waited... eventually....the manager spying me crying over my empty plate asked what was wrong....and then hurried away to get my food....which had never been added to the original order. And still no drinks. Behind the bar, the bar maids' only role in the business seemed to be to neck as much free orange juice as possible... nevermind the customers, nevermind the cocktails or wine Finally, two thirds of the way through our meal my husbands drinks arrived...me....still waiting for Godot!!!! We finished our meal....still no drink...I went to the toilet and asked for the bill....came back...oooo...a glass of wine. Bit late in the day We paid the bill ..£72....was it worth it... definitely not. The food was passable, just, but the service was appalling. The restaurant was less than half full... I'd say that was a miracle.....if they can't get the basics right, or get enough competent staff...just close the business. All good murder mysteries end with the reveal of the villain....five more minutes in that place and it would have been me!

Absolutely a lovely experience me and girlfriend had at this location. The food was fresh, tasty and very reasonably priced. The service was 10/10 from all staff but a personal shout out to Kasia who just went above and beyond to make our visit a unforgettable one. You will not be disappointed.

Good food but no where near enough staff. Our drinks, starters and main courses took a ridiculous time to be served making for a very poor experience. This was not the staff's fault, they just couldn't cope being so understaffed. We have used this restaurant before and were very pleased, hence our revisit. We will not be going back.

Food is espectacular, Allan was a great server. Had a nice time and they have so many delicious vegan options!!

Difficult to say as they wouldn’t let me have a table for one even though the place was virtually empty. I won’t try them again. There are lots of other nice restaurants in Windsor!!

Rajdeep really looked after us despite it being a challenging day due to only 2 staff on the floor. He went out of his way to cater to our needs

We passed by this restaurant every time we visit Windsor and have finally decided to try today. From entering the place, it felt warm and had a friendly welcome from one of the staff. The front seating looked quite busy but there’s a back area and seems like a private room on the side for (maybe) gatherings or events. We were offered a place to seat and handed menu for our meals, given enough time to choose our food. Now… this is the long wait. Our mains were served first, half way through enjoying this, was followed by the starter. Don’t get me wrong the taste of food was amazing. I love the Laksa and Bang bang broccoli. Waited for a while before one of the staff came to check on us, and we wanted to try the dessert. Placed our orders again and waited half an hour for a small plate dessert. Mango rice pudding was absolutely delicious! I believe we spent 2 hours in this place for a simple meal - starter, main and dessert. The place doesn’t look too busy, with empty tables and chairs in the back. When we requested for the bill, same as most places they have optional service charge (depending of course on the service). We weren’t asked if we wanted to include this or not. It was basically put in the contactless for us to pay. We kindly expressed to pay half of the gratitude as we weren’t really happy with the service. I would like to go back to this place, hoping for a better service next time.

Had a booking for 6 people. They sat us at a table for 4. The restaurant was empty, I asked to move to a table for 6 and the waiter said the tables are all reserved. I complained to the manager and she was happy for us to move!! Bit strange to be honest.

The food was really amazing ... And their service was also good there were two guys there Ramdeep and laveno they were really fantastic... There also was a female working there who was abit unethical no wonders where there is good there is bad too ... Amazing ambiance. Overall awesome experience

Mariam, our waitress, was absolutely fantastic. She was attentive, kind, and went above and beyond to make our visit enjoyable. Her friendly demeanor and professionalism truly stood out and made a big difference in our overall experience. Unfortunately, our interaction with Kasia was not as pleasant. She was quite dismissive, which was disappointing. This behavior detracted from an otherwise positive atmosphere.

I don't normally do this but the food here is horrible! My ramen bowl arrived cold ❄️! When I mentioned it they did not even say sorry. I had to ask for it to be taken back! They gave me a new one with the eggs in bad shape plus the taste was below standard. When the time for the bill came... The lady who did serve me gave me the bill as if nothing was wrong. I had to ask for a discount to be applied to my bill! 🤯 Don't come here, they care about your food experience! 😂

On our Staff event and couldn’t have had a better night, amazing service from Loveno. Will certainly be back.

Really disappointing experience. Four of us came in for a friends birthday having booked for 21:00, feeling totally rushed the entire time - our mains were served halfway through our starters and we were hurried to pay the bill whilst still finishing eating desserts. The food itself was pretty average, really poor calamari though (limp and wet?), small portions for the main rendang curry, not bad for the price, but really not worth coming back for at all. Won’t be returning, wouldn’t recommend

Loveno was absolutely amazing and very accommodating. The food always good as usual, my go to place in Windsor.

Came here tonight had a table booked and we was put right next to kitchen and the till and all the staff just stood there staring at us very uncomfortable. The staff was on you too much and not one consistent server as soon as your drink was finished they came and removed your glass before you could even take a breath. Starters was okay however my Laksa the noodles was not cooked at all so tough and it was more like a pasta than a rice noodle as mentioned in the menu. I mentioned it to a member of staff no apology, all I got asked was do you want re-made. They couldn’t care less no customer service at all. More worried about people leaving good reviews than giving any service at all. Never asked how the food was or anything. Would not return

NEVER ORDER DELIVEROO FROM HERE. The food is amazing. Though rendang portion is small. However when placing my order they forgot rice and sweet chili sauce. I paid for both however DELIVEROO did not compensate for the fact that THEY DID NOT ARRIVE. this is unacceptable. I am only leaving four stars because the food is very good. I am disappointed at DELIVEROO.

It’s our first time in Banana Tree and we had our lunch today. We got into the restaurant just after 12:00pm. There was no other customer at that time. We wanted to sit more comfortably and would like to have a table for 4 so that we could easily put our big coats and other belongings, but we were advised that the table was reserved for other customers who will arrive in 10 minutes. We are co-operative and we took a table for 2. During our time in the restaurant, I didn’t see any other customers in the restaurants. I saw a few delivery men. It would be great if the restaurant would arrange us a more comfy table and seats in such a non-busy cloudy and cold weekday at noon. Regarding the food, it’s not bad. Laksa is good, Chicken satay is good, Teriyaki steak soba is good. Bang Bang Broccoli is good. Cocktail was buy 1 get 1 free, also good. We ordered Laksa with prawn but Laksa with chicken was served. It’s alright and we ensured that correct price was billed. The soba was like Chinese fried noodle with soya source. It’s fine to me. Anyway, Banana Tree Windsor is one of the best Asian Food in Windsor. If you like Asian Food, I recommend you to give it a try.

Food was average, and the quality of service by the waiting staff was appalling - rude, uncourteous, and down right unprofessional. The roof was leaking and the roof water kept dripping in the meal. Overall, very unhappy with the visit and I am certainly not visiting again.

Hoison Duck was quite over cooked but generally all the flavours were good! Loved the cocktails made by Loveno - the lychee martini was on point 👌🏾 would come back!

Food was really good overall, the Laksa was exceptional and the hoisin duck was tasty but dry - likely to to thr busyness of the restaurant. The service was great, Loveno's service was excellent and attentive. Even though it was busy, he checked in on us and provided great service.

No one should have to wait 45 minutes for a take away order. It’s meant to be quicker than sitting in a restaurant. So many people were waiting for food. Won’t be coming back. The food is good but not worth that ridiculous wait.

We went for dinner with my partner. Really enjoyed it from the moment we walked in, been served by a lady ,her name was Kasia? She made sure we enjoyed our time there and recommended laksa soup which we enjoyed a lot . All in all, great food followed by great service, thank you We will definitely be back:)

I visited Banana Tree in Windsor and in the first minute I received a warm welcome. After I was given a table without booking my waiter looked after me and the drinks were wonderful. The Salmon Teriyaky was absolutely amazing and the Long Island Iced Teas were very tasty. Kasia was brilliant with service and I am definitely going to come back with my friends. Thank you :)

First time here and wow, it was recommended to me. I came here two nights in a row. The staff are amazing and friendly, the deco was on point. Big shout out to the chefs, I ordered the same meal on both nights. I would eat here every night if I lived in Windsor.

Fantastic! What a spot in Windsor, the atmosphere is great! Went for dinner with few friends, the palace was busy and the team. Everyone was friendly and helpful, it is affordable place and most importantly they made you fell welcomed.

Our waitress which I later realised is the manager asked my one year old do you plan to be a drummer. Then she added can you practice at home not here so our guests can eat in peace. I ended up speechless. This was because she was playing with the chopsticks. I'm disgusted how dare she speaks to my child like that. This is definitely not a family friendly restaurant!!!

We had a disappointing experience with the staff. They seemed to have forgotten about the children ice cream order, then they came back with the ice cream meant for a different table and took it back. I exhausted my patience waiting for the correct order. I confronted the staff about it and I was rudely told that if I wanted ice cream I should tell them the flavor. My wife had already told them the flavor in the beginning of the order. Sure mistakes happen, but I didn’t expect the rude treatment.

Had family here from America and they wanted Thai food. Ordered from here off Deliveroo. Everyone was starving and eagerly awaiting the food. A small bag showed up (we ordered for 7 people). Not paying attention at the moment, I took the bag and shut the door. I then realized the bag said "1 of 2" on it, meaning we were missing a bag. Frustrated, I immediately reported it on deliveroo and called the restaurant. The person who answered the phone immediately realized their mistake, as the bag was still there at the restaurant. Said we will contact deliveroo and have it out to you asap. Ok, fine. Some time passed and we called for an update, as there were two people without food still. They then said Deliveroo already issued a refund so they would not send the food. I looked in my email later to see there was a refund from Deliveroo in the amount of £1.55??! We called the restaurant back again and they said to call Deliveroo customer service. The whole experience was such a joke and unbelievably bad customer service. Such a waste of money. Will never order from here again. The little food that we did recieve tasted ok, but the portions are so small. It's enough for a child maybe!
