Poor experience. Good not great service not great. Noisy. Just not good sorry. Won’t be returning. It’s been there for years but this was a bad experience

Food was very nice and the staffs were so polite and friendly. Got a free sorbet as my birthday present which was a very sweet gesture. Will definitely visit again. Thank you guys!!

My friend and I had a very very tasty meal and catch up after a long gap due to Lockdowns. Staff were friendly and helpful, the happy hour was great and the lychee mojito was gorgeous. I had a tofu pad Thai and my friend ordered lots of sides, including really yummy vegan satay skewers. We were delighted with our evening.Unfortunately we both felt unwell the next day; she had a migraine and I had a return of an old foe, IBS after a very long absence. My friend read up on the website they use MSG which may well be fine for most people, but it didn't agree with us. I love Banana Tree as an old favourite, local haunt and will def return to try different meals in the hope I can find a dish that doesn't trigger my stomach issues.

Always impressed with the presentation. Nice, clean simple food done well with quick delivery. Good flavours ideal for a family meal. If you are very peckish I would recommend a couple of starters to go alongside a main dish.

I can say it was one of the best dinner in an Asiatic restaurant. I took the Larsak chicken, very delicious, and also my friends were enthusiastic about their meal. I strongly recommend to go there and try the food by yourself.

El restaurante está en Clapham y estaba muy ocupado con el plan de ayuda para salir a comer, pero nos sentamos muy rápidamente y no tuvimos que reservar una mesa con anticipación. El servicio al cliente también fue muy rápido y agradable. Debo decir que este lugar ofrece algunos de los mejores platos veganos que he probado. sus bocados veganos son deliciosos. Pedimos los bocados veganos satay para empezar y los fideos negros veganos como platos principales. sus platos son muy grandes y abundantes. No pude terminar mi comida y amablemente me proporcionaron un plato para llevar. también hay varias opciones disponibles para postres veganos. sus asientos están espaciados para adaptarse a las reglas de Covid. la señora supervisora oriental asiática fue particularmente muy servicial y amable. Visité Banana Tree en Battersea esta noche y creo que es justo decir que ahora me han desanimado la comida indochina y estoy seriamente preocupado de que nunca me recupere. De ninguna forma o forma es esta reseña un reflejo de la cocina, sino más bien, la interpretación única de la misma por parte de este restaurante.Comenzó esperando 15 minutos por una mesa, a pesar de que las mesas estaban vacías frente a nosotros. Está bien, es una noche ajetreada y el personal está dando vueltas.Pedí pollo Satay como entrante y sabía como si lo hubieran arrastrado por el piso de la cocina, pisoteado y luego puesto a la parrilla. El sabor solo se puede describir imaginando cómo sabría comerse el zapato de alguien.El plato principal, una especie de plato a base de fideos, se veía maravilloso, pero como una ex novia horrible, la verdad se filtró bastante rápido. No tenía sabor, con una guarnición de zanahorias picadas (el restaurante está obsesionado con esta guarnición).Las bebidas de cola falsa son exactas a su nombre. Nos sentimos bastante burlados. Con un precio de alrededor de 6 marcos cada uno, creo seriamente que los ingredientes se compraron al por mayor, en la parte trasera de una especie de mercado callejero. Probé colas simuladas en todas partes, esta orden de bebidas fue una burla y no sabía nada como las bebidas previstas.Por último, la factura. Informal Asian fusion restaurant with an interesting menu. My chicken massaman curry was tasty, but the chicken was tough and it was lacking sauce. It was ok but I have had better elsewhere.

This place is Wagamama esque in its styling and actually has a good atmosphere.The cocktails are passable - the food is lacking any taste at all. The rice with my main and the calamari starter were the best bits of the meal . The other starters (spring roles, chicken wings and satay chicken) were a bit tasteless and chewey. The mains (pho, Vietnamese salad and Thai basil) were very flat in taste as well!Won’t be back - not for me!

I ordered ‘the legendary’ beef rendang. Legendary? They should of called it the ‘daylight robbery’ beef rendang. £15 for the most tasteless ‘curry’ I have every eaten.The beef was overcooked and cheap, making it taste dry and tough. I was expecting it to break under my fork. I had to saw through it! Imagine someone had just scraped the last chunks of a two day old beef stew school dinner, with no gravy, and reheated it.If you like your food, avoid this place. It is a money spinning rip off cashing in on 20 somethings with the lure of 241 cocktails. Just have a few in the pub and go to a proper restaurant

No es mala comida, aunque los cócteles 2 - 4 - 1 dejaban un poco que desear.Fui con amigos que eligieron sus viejos favoritos, comí fideos de arroz y de mi hija que no le gustaban en ese momento, pero nos los llevamos a casa en una caja para llevar, ¡y ella los 'inhaló' más tarde y todo!Está justo en el medio de las tiendas, es muy fácil de encontrar y una excelente parada después de la juerga de compras. . . UT tampoco estaba demasiado ocupado, aunque ambas áreas estaban bien pobladas.Las porciones estaban bien y nos fuimos bien alimentados, el servicio era bueno y tenían entretenimiento para colorear para niños, pero los cócteles eran más como bebidas de frutas, para ser sincero. Volvería a comer allí pero no por la bebida, por el precio.

I attended this restaurant on a Friday night on a recommendation. We arrived and were seated fairly promptly. However, it went downhill from then onwards. The restaurant was extremely noisy and customers were crammed in. I was seated right by the kitchen so had waiting staff rushing past continuously. The side was lined up with deliveroo order after deliveroo order - they were clearly prioritising these over their eat-in customers. Our food took almost an hour to arrive. I am sympathetic that mistakes happen, but there was no apology or indication that they actually valued our custom. My friend ordered a soup and when asked for a spoon was told they didn't have any clean ones...I'm not sure how they expected it to be eaten with a fork?! I think the waitress realised how ridiculous this was by the look on our faces and disappeared to return shortly with a spoon. Again, no apology. Food was fine. However, we couldn't face staying for dessert so left and went to a great ice cream parlour down the road instead. May be better at lunchtimes or a weekday, but unfortunately it didn't create a very good impression for us to want to give it another go.

After really looking forward to returning here, was severely disappointed with the poor service - and blatent priority for deliveroo orders - over those of sitting customers. After 45mins waiting for our mains (all we ordered) and no one checking if we were waiting, on enquiring where our food was, we were told quite rudely "look behind you, we're busy". It then turns out our order was evidently completely forgotten. But again, no apology or eta. When the food arrived (in a rush), my small laksa had 1 prawn and no noodles.Advice: do not come at times when take outs are popular. Sure you will get it delivered better to your home!

Banana tree near Clapham junction station was amazing. The service was 10/10. Habib our server was very attentive and friendly. The food was amazing. Super tasty from starter to main and drinks. We will definitely be returning to banana tree again for another delicious meal.

Excellent place. Something for everyone! Rarely do you find somewhere that satisfies the needs of everyone at the table and Banana Tree does just that. Great, fresh food suitable for carnivore and herbivore alike and excellent attentive quick service particularly from our waiter Victor. Will be back.

I came here with 4 friends for an early Saturday dinner and we all really enjoyed our meals, and our vegetarian friend was pleased with the selection and quality of the food she had. We did try out the 2 for 1 cocktails but to be honest they were terrible and reminded me only to drink in places known for their cocktails as they were nearly undrinkable!

The food was pretty good overall however I can’t be bothered with self important, sarcastic staff - I also closed my finger in the heavy loo door - badly designed.

Had 2 4 1 cocktails not much alcohol in it considering we had long island. On the whole drinks very expensive. Menu is good selection. Not too badly priced. Defo wasn't hungry when we left. The waiting guy was a bit short and not overly helpful and to be honest didn't even feel that welcome apart from 1 guy in the whole place that was nice. Would go again just for the food. Was very surprised to learn as the waiter suggested if we do a great review on TripAdvisor there and then and showed him the great review we would gain 10% off our bill. Is that allowed or even legal ? Well must be one way to ensure it's good reputation.

Great set lunch offer (£7.95 for 1 course, or £10.95 for 2). Portions are so substantial for the cost. Perfect service too.

Have visited Banana Tree quite a few times now always get the vegan Phad Thai or the blackened noodles! Even just for takeout this food is always FRESH and delicious, flavours work so well together and love the spring rolls and sweet corn fritters - yummmm! Try it for yourself!

Was looking for a pleasant venue for quick meal with niece and partner. While premises could do with a refresh, early 2 for 1 cocktails and nice range of food resulted in choosing this for visit. Service was excellent, friendly, relaxed - food was good so all hit the spot

Fuimos a almorzar y el camarero nos ofreció el menú del almuerzo, que es una muy buena opción. 1 entrante y 1 principal para 10, 95. Pedimos las albóndigas y los rollitos de primavera bastante sabrosos y servimos con algunas instrucciones que le dan sabores interesantes. Como plato principal, el curry verde era fabuloso y el pollo crujiente con sabores más suaves.

El rendang de carne era mi favorito, la carne era tan suave! Tuve un plato de sopa que tenía pollo y también fue increíble.

Su comida es excelente, pero los niveles de servicio no son lo que solían ser. ! ! ! Nuestra mesa reservada no fue la esperada; así que tómalo o. . . . ? La bebida de mi esposa tardó casi diez minutos más que las otras en llegar; Tres recordatorios parecían caer en oídos sordos; su bebida solo fue entregada cuando le indicamos a un miembro del personal que había estado sentada en el mostrador de servicio uno o dos minutos. Pero lo peor fue cuando se sirvió el dulce de mi nieto; el camarero acaba de poner su plato principal en el centro de la mesa; en primer lugar, simplemente malos modales, y en segundo lugar, ¿qué pasó con el mantra de "siempre llevar algo a la cocina"? ?

I have a lot to say but if I squeeze it so no doubt to say one of the best and amazing service which I got in. Food was amazing, Especially “laksa” and it was on time. We were fasting and my family really enjoyed. Habib looked after us a lot, he gave us dates as well for breaking fast. One of the best “Iftar” my family has. I deadly recommend this place.

Had a quick after school dinner with my daughter and partner. It was nice. We made it in time for the lunch menu. I had vegan gyozas and chicks laksa which was good not the best. My daughter had sweet and sour pork which she loved and spring rolls. She liked the novelty of the instructions. My husband chicken wings which were nice and had mango or lemon chicken I can’t remember and his tasted very bland. All in all, good value for money we spent 40 and we had 2 cocktails which were warm! Odd

Visite this restaurant on Monday Bank Holiday and was completely disappointed.

We had booked a table for 20 so not an easy task for them on at Saturday evening but everyone loved their food and the service was great. The dumplings and salad I had were delicious and heard others comment on the curry, Pho, satay and no one in fact had any complaints. Cocktails on happy hour were delicious too.

The initiative to have vegan food is good and the vegan satay starter was not bad. The currys were 50% oil and 50% food. The green curry was underseasoned and super oily and the Kafir Soya was super oily and very salty. We asked for water and it didn't came until we asked the second time. The Indian guy with a fancy mustache was not happy that he didn't get a tip while he completely forgot to bring us water. When you know your food is super oily and salty, water should be a default. The sticky rise was average. We are disappointed.

Visited this place for the first time and it was really good. The staff were really helpful and friendly. I definitely recommend the chicken Pad Thai and the coconut ice cream was delicious 😍 will defo be back!

We didn’t have a reservation but turned up just before the rush for the evening so we were very lucky to grab a table for 4. The staff were extremely helpful in advising on the dairy free dishes and on recommendations. The whole place had a lovely atmosphere and the food was delicious.

Vibrant atmosphere, nice music playing in the background adds to the mood. I love indo-chinese food and they did not disappoint. Seating is on benches with a nice view out onto Battersea Rise. Combos are my favourite.

Its one of our favourite date night venues and they never dissapoint. The food is gluten free!(only those deeply affected with understand).The portions are large and filling but at the same time leaving you feeling light. They also do beautiful freshly made natural juices...so refreshing and did I mention its affordable!

We ate at the banana tree on a Friday night. The food was good but there was a long delay between some of our food coming out meaning some of the table had finished before the others had arrived. They also bought out an incorrect order to our table. When we raised this at the end we were confronted by a very rude member of staff who’s response was ‘what do you want me to do about it’. He said they had a very busy restaurant and dishes sometimes do come out at different times- this would of been fine if they had told us this to begin with but they also did mess up our order. They ended up taking the starters off our bill- our suggestion not theirs which again was such poor customer service.

Really great food, something for everyone! great choice for vegans . it gets really busy here ! the music can be very loud, the curry's are really good as well as the starters. I LOVE THE DUMPLINGS HERE! really great staff.

I had dinner with my friends here for my birthday, the food was amazing, staff were friendly, and they brought out a birthday dessert even though no one had told them it was my birthday! They must have seen me opening my present - such a lovely gesture!

It has the feel and look of a Wagama inside with benches and tables bolted to the floor. However, there was much more of a buzz about the place than you usually get at those, and it was pretty much full on a Tuesday evening. Rightly so, we both thought it was a great place for a quick bite to eat.

First of all: The food is really good, with lots of vegan option (incl. deserts) and fresh smoothies.

I came here for the first time...but I will say never again...everything looked very nice but no taste...we ordered some starters gyoza which were very deep fried and with a horrible taste and spring rolls the only thing that I liked.As a main I had mango and sweet chili chicken which tasted more as vinegar and my friend had a vegan dish wich she found nice.The dessert was a stuffed coconut pancake with vanilla icecream,but the filling was so dry and tasteless,definetly in need of a sauce or something.The cocktails what can I say...not a cocktail for sure...92£ for no taste.

Vinimos aquí una tarde de media semana y pudimos conseguir comida inmediatamente. Pedí el pollo crujiente en mango y salsa de limón dulce y mi novio pidió los fideos con especias. Aunque a ambos nos encantaron nuestras comidas, estaban deliciosos y se servían muy rápido, solo sentíamos que era un poco caro para la porción que recibimos. La mayoría de los platos principales no vienen con lados incluidos, así que para el momento en el que agregaste eso, sumó bastante.

My father, younger sister and I went specifically because of the vegan menu for me. They both eat meat and my dad fairly enjoyed his, my sister disliked hers and both feel it’s over priced and bland! Worst part is I ordered a main and a starter to come at the same time, both vegan. Instead my sisters dish came with mine (looking like starter size) and I was told it was my vegan aubergine so I ate some only to realise it was meat. I was so upset and told the manager, he said he will fix it. He did nothing, all he did was make my sister a new meal after we told him to. He didn’t apologise until I told him off and he said well I told you I’m sorry. After further discussion later on in the meal he said my main course and starter wouldn’t be charged. It wasn’t enough, I was so upset, felt like I was going to have a panic attack. He was so rude and nasty, with a nonchalant attitude. I just wouldn’t bother with this place.

This restaurant was a bit cramp for me but I think its a good deal you get your meal in very big portion and the quality is as good, Fon was our waitress, she was taking care of us all night long. Really good service and food!!

We came by for dinner as we’ve heard they had new menu. The food was amazing as always! Great starters to share especially the satay and gyoza. Staff was very attentive and quick despite the restaurant being quite busy. Will come again to try more of their menu!

We went for our first time not really knowing what Indochine food meant? Was it Vietnamese, Malaysian, Pan Asian. To my surprise it included Indonesian food little represented in the UK, but popular in Holland. We had the house beef curry, with a name I can't remember. For only a little extra we added the combo which was well worth it. There was a strong flavour, only a little spicy. It was sweet and quite a luxuriant taste. We sat by the window and getting there at early lunch, but the restaurant soon filled up with families, couples and lots of people clearly loving the food.

We went here for a group dinner. 10 of us. Service was fantastic. Fon was our waitress and had amazing customer service, very attentive. Thank you Fon!

This is my first time here at this restaurant and I am very impress, the food is amazing we weren’t sure about what to have but at the end we all end up loving it I have to say big thank you to “Fon” (i need to give her a biggg shout out) she recommended the best dishes and always got the smile on her face! Had a fantastic lunch with my daughter today. Amazing veggie rolls followed by aubergine with tamarind for me, prawn laska for her. Absolutely delicious. Lovely service and very reasonable.

I wish I’d written this review immediately because I really wanted to shout out the team by name!! We popped in after a day out for my nieces and sisters bday on Sat 17th November and every single person we dealt with was amazing. I want to say Habib and Ana - were super helpful - but have a feeling they aren’t the right names !

I had a mild digestion problem during the night after I ate in this restaurant. I don't know if it was due to the low quality of ingredients or the poor hygiene standard.

Great atmosphere great services , although i think it is a bit loud. The food was amazing I had a Papaya salad with a combo up lime chicken!! We were served by tiny waitress Fon who was taking care us all along and very friendly. I will be back for sure

I just popped in this afternoon and I was starving. Food was yummy and service was great. The waiter asked if I was ok and needed anything else through out. Definitely coming back.

We saw the menu online and it looked great!!! I ordered the "shredded duck spring rolls" which on the photo looked lovely!! That lovely rice pancake you can see through and all the stuff you would put in a build your own pancake from the Chinese was there...cucumber...spring onions...sauce.

I've been here several times by now and I'm amazed time and time again by the food.

The place can be busy at peak times but worth the wait once you get s seat. The food selection and cocktails are amazing. I was impressed with the attentive staff. Beef Rengan is highly recommend

We absolutely LOVED the food at the Battersea Banana Tree. It has now become my favorite for This type of cuisine! There were 4 of us and we shared Pho, Spicy Noodles, Beef Curry and Sweet and Sour Chicken. I couldn’t decide which was my favorite.

The restaurant is located in between Clapham Junction and Northcorte Road and then nice and busy area. We reached around 6pm at the restaurant and was welcomed by nice lady who took us to take a seat it wasn’t that busy at that time. A gentleman called Victor who gave us the menus and took our drinks and starters he made us feel very welcomed and he was friendly. The starters came and we had the wings and prawns. It’s was a really nice starter. We then ordered the main a Thai beef green curry combo and the beef, sweet basil and oyster sauce. We do l have to say that the Thai beef curry was nice and beef was soft. However for the sweet basil and beef in oyster sauce was warm the meat was very chewy. I do have to say that the tables are so close together that you can even hear the tables next to you conversation and ours. When we was leaving their was a queue and l would recommend booking a table if after 7pm. I will actually visit again and try more of the menu.

Our visit to Banana Tree was extremely disappointing! The food was cold and tasteless! We had wings to start and they were covered in feathers. I know chicken wings can be hairy at times! But these were the long feathers covered in sauce. Yuk

The food here is so delicious, that staff are very friendly and efficient. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone!
