Crazily priced and super bad service. Order 1 BBQ and they said now can’t be cooking by ourselves. Crazily people operate crazy restaurant.

Was craving some Korean food that was closest to me in Liverpool City Centre. This place was amazing and is situated on Bold St! The atmosphere was nice and quiet as I came before busy time. The food was delicious. I ordered bimbap, seafood pancake, cucumber pickles, and plum juice (I'm a big eater btw). Will gladly come back and eat here again!

It's "NOT AUTHENTIC" Korean bbq at all to me. I'm curious to know if the owner is Korean because i haven't seen the grill like this before, it's more like a stir-fried meat in a pan! And £5.90 for a tiny Kimchi while it should be complimentary as a side dish as it should be for Korean bbq. I'm not keen on going back. However, staffs are helpful and friendly.

Fantastic experience in here tonight. Staff very good and attentive. Menu is huge and this is my first experience with Korean food. I was not disappointed with my choices and the food was sensational. Highly recommended if your passing and want to try something new.

I wonder who is the owner of this place. If you dont know what is authentic korean food please dont open a korean restaurant . They charge for Ban chan dishes. You even have to pay for kimchi and lettuce for bbq . What a joke. U definitely dont know what korean food is . We dont pay for all these stuff in korean restaurant . What a joke! At least give the lettuce as complimentary when your guest order bbq . And its so freaking expensive 5.90 for a kimchi side dish . I can buy a big jar with that amount . Will never come back here .

Very attentive wait staff serving delisious food

We order spicy chicken Hotpot with boil vegetables and Gochujang. When we eat chicken, we feel like chicken was few days old, and they boil it and left in refrigerate, and then they just add that to hotpot when we order. It was very awful. We also ordered chicken BBQ, which tastes awesome. I will surely recommend Chicken BBQ, but the problem was they did not allow us to do bbq by ourself and they told us that the chef will cook for us, it was because we need to order more than 2 plates of any BBq. For service I give her 1 star becoz we were asked to order using QR code but their WiFi was not working properly and the network inside is not good, they had physical menu but still the staff asked us to book using QR code and due to that we were able to order late and we waited longer then normal time to get food on our table. They also additionally charge 5-7% service charges 🙄, don't remember exactly. I am giving 1 star. it's due to ambience, which was good and quit.

Lovely authentic DIY your own barbecue spot. I cannot stress enough. By some barbecue items so you can do it yourself as it’s such an experience. We ordered a lot today, the Staff are so kind and are fully aware of allergens on the menu. I am pleased by my experience today. Food and drinks were great. I ask you, come here as you won’t be disappointed. You may or may not need bookings depending on what time you come.

A British friend living in Liverpool went to this place because he wanted to eat Korean food... The food wasn't bad... but as a Korean, I ordered ssam (ssam), but they didn't even give me groceries... I was very unfamiliar with the system where I had to order side dishes one by one. It turns out that the boss is not Korean.

So as New Orleans, LA residents, we know food. Kind of our thing. IYKYK. Just ask and they will wait on you instead of having to order off of internet. Waitresses were perfect. Food-wise, we’ve been in England for a week and just shy of a $300 meal for 2 at a 5-star steak restaurant, this place blew me away. Pork belly.. amazing, eel…amazing… kimchi…. Amazing… literally everything was VERY good. 1000% suggest you come here if in Liverpool. Fantastic!! Laissez les bon temps rouler!!

The bbq tasting set it used to be very nice ....we come here for a long time ...now since they change the Grill plate with a cheap frying pan. Is not a bbq anymore is more like a cross between a stir fry and a stew.....very disappointed about the managerial decisions in this place ......you guys are lucky with the good kitchen staff ...

I’ve been to this place 3 times every time I come to Liverpool and needless to say this is probably my favourite korean place out of anywhere in the UK, I literally talk about how much I wana go back to liverpool just to eat at this place again. As someone who has had a lot of korean food, this place hits authenticity and even better than places I’ve had in London. My favourites would be the kimchi stew, full of flavours and isn’t overpowered and shadowed by spice. You can actually taste the flavour and kimchi in it. Filling portion too and for an amazing price. The kimchi fried rice is my second favourite, its just really good. Overall i highly recommend and will continue going here. The prices are also decent and its definitely worth the quality

This place has gone down hill noticeably. It's not a BBQ anymore but rather a stir fry with a heavy smell of cigarettes from the smokers outside. We ordered Korean chicken but it was merely fried chicken with a bit of sweet mustard drizzle. Authentic NOT. Delicious NOT.

Food was decent, some dishes were a little bland (bibimbap and kimchi). Serving staff were really nice, but didn't seem to know the dishes names or what they were, had to mention the number. The korean alcohol was quite expensive even for the UK (Soju was £15)

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Booked a table for 5pm. Friendly and welcoming, swift service, food arrive fairly quickly. Good atmosphere and others seemed to enjoy their meal too. Went to experience Korean food for the first time and was not disappointed and pleased to see Korean visitors/tourists eating there too which is always a good sign. I ordered on Uber rather than going in, I was skeptical because of alot of reviews saying they tended to be rude and careless, I thought it might show in the way the food was packaged but it was all ok. I got the Ddok Bo kki, za zang men and kak too gi (toekbokki, black bean noodles and radish kimchi) and they where all delicious and carefully packaged, the teokbokki was abit squished but was wrapped in cling film so was all ok! And there was no leaks. Only think I'd say is it didn't say the teokbokki came with cheese so if you're sensitive to dairy keep that in mind All in all, great food and was speedily delivered

First time eating Korean food for me. Need to be a bit more adventurous. The food was very good. Will try a second meal. Service was pleasant & quick. Nice atmosphere though not overly busy.

I see this place is getting some bad reviews. So, I just write to say that the food is actually really great here. I had lunch just this weekend. Yes - it is a bit expensive. Yes - sometimes the service is a bit slow. However, the quality of the ingredients is first rate and the barbecue is really tremendous fun.

It is a restaurant with quite a good selection of Korean food. Mine was delicious, I had the luch special menu and a green tea cup. The chairs were a little worn.

Incredible lovely ladies who helped me throughout my time, but of course, I was extremely starving plus super happy with Korean food served, including Soju, which is South Koreas Traditional National Alcohol 😋

If you're reading this, steer clear of this place! My friend and I went there yesterday. We had to chase down the waitstaff just to order. Even for utensils, we had to call them over. The hot pot only got started after we called for service three times. Throughout the whole visit, there was zero sense of service. Even worse, the chicken wings we got were bloody, scarce in meat, and tasted awful! We confronted the owner, who merely said that the hot pot needed more time to cook, but no staff had informed us beforehand. The owner just rolled their eyes and walked away without a single apology. At checkout, they only waived the service fee because we insisted!

This used to be one of my favorite restaurants -- especially Korean -- but they have in the last year or so become not quite the best. They seem to scrimp on the ingredients (quality and quantity wise), and this is especially evident in the Bibimbap (mainly and mostly rice, and the token veggies on top!) and the soon dobu / soon tofu seafood which you get nominal and tiny specks of seafood. I must say tho that I thoroughly enjoyed the eel -- this is the first time we tried it -- and it was nicely cooked. I hope they get their game back because this was a really good restaurant.

Although the food tastes good, the service here is terrible, they were charging 50P for frigging hot water. I mean who charges for hot drinking water in a cold city 🥲. One of the korean staff woman was so rude, she didn't care what we wanted. Just keep saying sorry can't do it.

This restaurant is not authentic at all! Food is expensive and disgusting. The fried chicken had been out for a long time and then served. The beef soup only had 5 small slices of beef. A bowl of rice costs 4.5 pounds. I would say the chef may learn how to cook by watching YouTube videos.

I was ordered a Ramen and Bap. One of staff member was so rude. she even didn’t look at me and just gesture to another person(to get order from me). I am so angry from her but i was so hungry So i decide to stay. But i will never recommend this restaurant. Do not go this place

Tried this restaurant as we had never tried Korean before. Cabbage soup awful a few green leaves in a salty stock. Minced Chicken pieces in a spicy sauce and boiled rice. There were five of us and everything came at the same time, don’t know if this is the Korean way? It went cold very quickly as the temp. was less than 20c inside. £25 a head. The two stars are for the staff who put on a very brave face. We will not be returning as Bold St has so many good places to eat.

People who came in after us were given menus, ordered and even started eating before we were seen to. After 15mins I was ready to just get up and walk out but my family really wanted to try the food. After 35mins of entering WE had to ASK for a menu. We were then forgotten about again. Having to wave for attention so we could order. Food and drinks were served without a smile or a word spoken to us or eye contact made. The food itself was very nice. Although my daughters Udon and prawns had a total of... 2 prawns in it. Price-wise it's ok. The restauraunt itself is rather poorly decorated and there was a constant draft coming from upstairs. We ended up putting our coats back on as we were eating as we were, literally, shivering. When it came to paying the bill we, again, had to attract the attention of the serving staff who were standing around talking and showing eachother things on their phones. Would I return? No way. Would I recommend? Absolutely not.

If I could score minus, I would have! Over priced, dry, no taste! Service charge of £6.70 she brought drink and all courses together! Horrendous meal for the token price £75! 2 starters, mains and one rice!!

Save your money for a trip to Korea instead. We ordered the BBQ set. Although the meat portions were big, it wasn’t fresh. Dosed with cornflour and favour to disguise the stale meat. Also, the heating was either off or ‘energy efficient’.

Never really eaten Korean before. The menu was a mine field didn't recognise much, the waitress helped us to select something. What we had was extremely tasty if not a little on the expensive side for a lunch, however we enjoyed it but may not be my first choice in future. Service charge was added too?

Ordered Kimchi soup myself and my partner had beef kimchi fried rice. Both meals were really tasty and authentic. The fried rice is a huge portion so good for value. Kimchi soup was really good but slightly smaller in quantity but I ended up full anyway. The staff looked like they’re having a good time so good vibes. It was busy and most guests were having BBQ. Gonna come back and try the BBQ soon.

Ordered the BBQ set meal, 42 pounds, but it was completely synthetic meat, and some low quality meat. This was the first time I had synthetic meat in the UK.

Don’t bother visiting if not doing BBQ. We came here, didn’t have a reservation - downstairs tables were all full (BBQ) but we wanted food so got sat upstairs (nonBBQ a la carte), which we were fine with. Food was cold and massively overpriced!! A dish of bean sprouts for £3.50 which was basically a small handful sprouts from a bag. Would not recommend unless BBQ’ing which I’m sure would be tastier. The steak tartare was still frozen and we defrosted it at the table. Compulsory 10% service charge for them to just bring food to your table. Avoid. Paid £66 for a very average cold, tasteless meal.

Such a shame food was good but let down badly by service. Booked online and received an email confirming reservation. When we arrived they didnt know we were coming. Had to move tables just before food arrived. Had to ask to order. For anyone with food alergies dont bother. They do not cater for even basic gluten free or celiac needs, waitress response was a very easy no. Half way through meal asked for two more cokes and a lemonade. Had to ask three times and even pointed to glasses. Received one pint of lager???? This is what happens when you add on a compulsory service charge, staff are going to get tip regardless if they provide a good service or not. Very sad for a place with so much potential.

實在太想念韓國菜了，所以來這裡食lunch。牛肉片lunch set 不錯，牛肉片用韓國醬料醃製了好味，有不少配料，不過麵豉湯太鹹了。另外點了辣豆腐湯，豆腐好滑，不過我嫌不夠辣。反而另外點的辣魷魚小菜好好食，夠惹味，魷魚也嫩滑。

Absolutely beautiful food and lovely atmosphere. Servers were fab, although there was a slight language barrier but I'd absolutely revisit in a heartbeat.

Me and my girlfriend we've been coming to this place quite often , I'd like to say that the food is absolutely delicious no complaints about the quality of the food ! the only complaint i have is for the person who manages this place as of what I'm aware the staff get no tips ! Absolutely authentic - the lack of service is made up by the quality of the food. The kimchi fried rice was top tier, and the BBQ meats were lightly seasoned to bring out the natural taste of these meats. The price is justified by location and quality - would definitely recommend!

这家韩国烤肉的火非常小（烤炉的天然气不够了）但是店员却不会处理，导致肉无法很好的烤熟，价格也很贵，两个人吃了100英镑的食物勉强吃饱。

Loved it. First time korean barbeque and it was a success! My husband still talks about wanting more spare ribs:) Only wished the service didn't jump on you, asking if you're ready to order, so fast and so often.

Decent but still has room for improvement

We went here for our anniversary, we've never been to a Korean BBQ place before. I have to say this might've been one of the best meals of my life, seriously. I'd highly recommend the ribs, teriyaki chicken and the meat platter that you cook yourself at the table. The staff were friendly, the prices are a little high but you pay the extra for GOOD FOOD, it's worth every penny. Would love to go back, those BBQ ribs are calling my name.

It is a lovely place! I go here alot with my friends and it's always lovely :) The staff are so friendly and I absolutely adore 57, the pork is so delicious! Definitely recomend!

If there is a minus star I would choose it as review of my experience. I have passed the restaurant a few times until I decided to try with my friend although we were aware of the review which was only 3.5 stars on google. We thought maybe it’s not that bad or we would be lucky. The food taste was not bad, but the service was not good at all. Especially one of the waitress, she was very rude. The worst part was i felt a sharp pain in my throat when I was chewing a meat in the middle of the dinner. I managed to take it out and found it was a metal strand which was like a part of a metallic scrubbing brush. As the picture attached here shown. We were told there was no manager neither the owner was available. We still paid with 20% discount after I asked for any discounts for this kind of situation. Probably we shouldn’t have paid. Anyone, whoever still want to eat there, be careful and watch out the food.

Not a pleasant experience. Food was ok but the price was overcharged . Service was bad as they don’t do any help for the customers have zero experience with making their own Korean BBQ. My friend even spitted out this unpleasant mysterious metal wire when she was having the food ?? not sure is it from the lettuces or the meat?? We did complain and asked for the manager , got a response saying “ we don’t have a manager here”. Won’t come back again It’s our fault not taking the reviews seriously on here before we came here.

Food was great, best meal we had in our long weekend in Liverpool. We had the table bbq and the food was excellent. Service a little off, not particularly helpful if you didn’t know your way around a Korean menu, but overall really enjoyed it. Much much better than the chain Asian restaurants around the area.

Really authentic tasting Koran food. Service was fast and friendly. Prices are average.. but not too expensive. They also have Korean bbq options on the menu where you can cook the meat and veggies directly on the table which is quite fun. The atmosphere is quite nice.

speaking as someone who used to live in Korea, the food here is pretty good. Nice and authentic. The problem is with the staff...they didn't seem to understand their menu or even be able to read it. The waiter also served my food at the opposite end of the table (I was alone on a four-seater) which was weird. if you want to try authentic korean food then its worth it but the staff weren't up to much..

김치 제육볶음을 시켰는데 김치만 있더라고요? 그래서 말씀드렸더니 다시 해주시긴 했는데 그래도 고기는 거의 없었고 매우 달았어요. 그리고 김치 제육볶음에는 공깃밥이 나오지 않았어요. 우거지 갈비탕에는 국물 맛은 괜찮았고 고기가 좀 들어있었지만 우거지가 거의 없었어요 그리고 콩나물 대는 없었는데 대가리는 많이 있더라고요?? 낙지볶음은 밥은 많았는데 낙지볶음의 양이 매우 적었어요 외국인들한테 한식을 잘못 알려주는 거 같아서 아쉽네요 그리고 서비스 차지가 추가되어서 결제되었어요

My family and I are big fans of Korean food so we brought our kids today here for a treat. My husband and I ordered a Korean bbq set which is £27 per person, my kids ordered fried chicken and pork chop. I was aghast when I asked for the bill and saw that for the bbq set which consisted of 8 small slices of pork belly, marinated chicken pieces decent enough for one person, 5 small side dishes and soup I was charged £55. I was so disappointed! They will require for two persons to avail their bbq set meals and will only serve a portion of the protein/meats good for a single person. We were never told after we made our orders about this! Total rip off and the lady who were serving us that day just didnt care and was just after my payment! Dont dine here if you dont want overpriced food!

When asked for a table, staff just pointed to a table, then we waited 30-40mins to place an order.. No one came to take our order, when I went to ask a staff at the counter, she just put up her hands up n kept on talking on the phone.. Not a single words, just hands gesture.

Great ambience. When we entered, it was empty. But within minutes the place had a vibe. The food was delicious. We tried their spicy soup which was the start dish in appetisers. The seafood crepe and chicken dumplings were just delicious. We went for 3 mains after all these appetisers, and their portions were huge. Not a big fan of their kimchi rice though- very bland for my palate. Language barrier can be a slight issue, but they try their best with their service.

Not for vegetarians We went there for a quick bite, I ordered the fried kimchi with rice, chicken and egg, whilst my friend ordered the kimchi ramen. The male server was pleasant, but a female server was quite cold and when asked for some cutlery. She seemed annoyed and abruptly placed it on the table. The reason for this review in particular is that my friend, a vegetarian ordered a vegetarian dish and found meat in the ramen. We spoke to the restaurant about this and they merely said the food gets mixed up, with no offer of compensation. I do not recommend this restaurant to vegetarians!
