Second time here at Baked, chose the Granola and it was delicious.. it was very busy as it was Pride weekend , but the service was still excellent

LOVE BAKED! My new favourite Hove Brunch spot! We have two fussy eating little boys and they absolutely demolished their breaky. Fluffy pancakes, beautifully poached eggs, and those feta eggs are next level delish. Super friendly staff, loads of locals (which is an excellent sign!) and they loved our fur baby Dusty too! 11/10

The food we had here tasted fresh and flavoursome, the portion was also of fair size. It is a little pricy but this does reflect the quality of the food. Our waitress Lauren was very friendly, polite and the kind of person I would always like to be served by. I will return.

Stumbled upon baked by accident and was super impressed from start to finish. Received such a warm welcome from the owner when we walked in the door and we were not disappointed by the varied menu on offer. Great portion sizes served by super friendly staff. It was really busy and I can see why!

You cannot fault this place. The best place to eat in Hove. A young man served us and was friendly and helpful, we come here alot and it only gets better each time. I would recommend visiting without a doubt. Great gluten free options too.

Make sure you book, like we did, as it is very popular. Warm welcome by friendly staff and the food was excellent. Great choice, and not just your big standard Full English.

Great cafe on church road, good service, tasty meal, also the barrier around the outside seats provides a little privacy and sufficient space we could keep our bikes inside the barrier with no inconvenience to others.

I considered this place, the best place to go for breakfast in the whole of Brighton and Hove, so today decided to come back for my third time, came in and because my companion was claustrophobic and was unable to sit in the corner, we sat in the middle table, which seated 4. , we were told that the table was reserved and would need to vacate one hour 15 minutes later, which was absolutely fine as I’m sure we would have been done by then, although not ideal to feel slightly rushed, a table, then came up free in the window for two people to which we thought it would be beneficial to move to help the serving staff, so thought we would nab that however was quickly shot down by an officious waiter who said don’t sit there yet until I’ve cleaned it rather than having any professional tone. Sat back down at the table of 4 to which we then said to the waiters actually we will sit in the window because it makes more sense to them. To then Be told that it had been reserved for another pair who arrived after us. The best breakfast in town by far but sadly due to the poor unprofessional experience we just had, where we both felt incredibly uncomfortable and felt we were being talked about by the waiting staff behind the counter through no-fault of our own. When all we were doing was trying to make their life easier we decided we would spend our £40 better elsewhere at a place where we would feel more welcome. So will not be coming back that’s for sure. Such a shame

Have visited Baked three times in the past four days. Each time it has been a most enjoyable experience. Every time the drinks and food were superb and all the staff attentive and caring without being overbearing. Today we had the Thai spiced soup and Cheese toastie – both were delicious at a very reasonable price. Would recommend 100%

Booked a table in a very hot a sunny morning. We’re not told that it will be simply in the street outside cafe where there were no shade at all. We’re waiting for drinks for 20 min and finally left hungry to look for an another place for breakfast. So, just clarify when you book where you will be seated!

After stressful meeting...dire need of coffee! My colleague and I found this cosy spot. What a great find! The service was very friendly and attentive. My Americano double shot had the required wooooah effect, and served in nice ceramic cups..I loathe mugs. My colleagues' Latte was pronounced excellebt, too. I had the Veggie breakfast for £9.50 ..vegan red pepper sausage, baked beans, perfectly poached egg, little hash browns, quality granary toast. See attached photo. Just what I needed. Such a serendipitous afternoon. Visit soon!

We had such a special time here for a family brunch with my family and my boyfriends family for graduation! I was desperately trying to find a table for 13 which is hard in Brighton but the staff here were so accommodating! They have a beautiful room downstairs with amazing artwork of brighton that is just perfect for a large group! The food was incredible and their Prosecco brunch option is a great idea and really worth the money! Staff were so lovely and friendly we will definitely be back!! Upstairs area would also be perfect for couples or friends and you can sit outside at the front too!

Me and my family visited this restaurant for an aunts birthday and was so pleasantly surprised. We were seated downstairs as there was a lot of us and it was clean, not too crowded and was a great atmosphere, the waiter was superb, funny and informative and did very well to look after our table. The food and drink was delightful and has definitely converted me to become a baked regular, I’m already looking forward to returning. I was also super impressed with such a brilliant wait time from ordering to receiving our food with so many of us around, and the cost was worth the food absolutely! And such a great varied choice too, nothing not to love. Thank you Baked, I’ll be back.

Our stop-off for a light lunch yesterday and what a find! Smashed avocado and eggs on sour dough with a portion of salad was just what I fancied. My partner had similar albeit with some feta. We perched at a table outside, basked in the midday sun and relished each bite. Wonderful.

Stopped here for lunch for the first time yesterday whilst doing artist open houses. The food was amazing, but more importantly we were blown away by the way the staff and manager dealt with our daughter’s nut allergy. The manager/chef went out of his way to inform us of the ingredients, prepare food separately and offer flexibility to help her feel safe. Just great, thank you so much.

My wife and I tried to visit here with a newborn baby (who was a sleep in her buggy) and were left disgusted by the poor unfriendly and unwelcoming service from the waitress. Other customers even commented/were shocked. We left a review on Google to which the manager replied too and did not even apologise in his response and also completely made things up in his response saying they offered us serval tables which they did not. Families clearly not welcome!

Our first visit to this lovely Hove cafe. Our breakfasts were delicious but what stood out for me was how lovely the staff were to their regulars, remembering their names their orders and helping a disabled gentleman with cushions and making him comfortable. It's so nice to see such wonderful interactions very usual these days but was so nice to see. Can't wait to return.

A corner cafe . Outdoor seating and seating downstairs. Paid parking on the sideroad. Food is good and coffees. Had a bit of a wait for seats. Outdoor seating wasn't comfortable and it was cold.

Came for s family brunch and can’t fault. Service was good, friendly and efficient waiter. Large portions and food all tasty and hot. Will definitely recommend and visit again.

We have visited this place with couple of friends for a brunch. Setting is really good and staff are very friendly and accommodating. However this place have very strict no swap policy! So if you have any allergies or intolerance to any part of the meal they will not compromise on alternative for you. For example if you can’t eat egg (which is in most dishes) your choice is only with granola or pancakes. You can have it removed from the dish which means you are missing out and you can have extra added for extra cost only! I found this is policy extremely unfriendly in this time and age……especially when the competition around is very strong and everyone will do swaps with no problem! After a conversation with couple of friends we have learned that this has been addressed many times with others and it stops them returning.

My husband and I booked here whilst we were away for the weekend. The menu did not disappoint! The food and drinks were all delicious and the staff were lovely. Will definitely be back when we are in the area! PS the chorizo eggs were incredible!!

Booked Baked for breakfast during a weekend away in Brighton and could not recommend it enough, The staff were friendly, offering great customer service to my partner and I. We were seating promptly and tables were a good distance where we both felt safe and comfortable. We looked at the menu prior to visiting and although a couple of the items were not available on the day, the feta eggs and chorizo eggs were outstanding. Portions were a good size and we both left full. The dishes were full of flavor and presented well. The drinks were lovely and i can also recommend the iced green tea. Would highly recommend and will definitely be booking again when in Brighton next, thank you.

We came here this morning for a quick takeaway sandwich and was absolutely shocked with how expensive It was. We had two of the breakfast Sandwiches on the board in the window which came with bacon egg and sausage in sourdough we asked for avocado and halloumi as well, little did we know we were being charged an extra £3 each for the avocado and halloumi so the total cost per sandwich was £16. £16 for a bacon and egg sandwich. The total was £38 we onlypopped by to grab a takeaway sandwich and a latte I can’t believe how expensive it was.

Delicious place to have breakfast with friends. The veggie options are superb and my pick of the bunch would be the feta eggs - perfect! Staff are friendly and couldn’t be more attentive.

We found this restaurant, while out walking & tried it the following morning. The staff were very friendly, the service was great & the food was delicious. It was so good we went back the following morning & although it was very busy, they managed to squeeze us in. Will definately go back when next in Brighton

I have been to Baked many times before, the food and service has always been excellent. However last week I arrived during a very busy lunch period and was served by a new staff member! A Northern Irish guy, who took my experience from excellent to exceptional. His brand of old school customer service not only made me feel like I was the only person he had to look after but also that it was genuinely his pleasure to be serving me. He really impressed me as you don’t tend to get that kind of experience that makes you feel like you cannot wait to go back, any more. But after last week I can honestly say I cannot wait to go back.

After reading great reviews online; my friends and I decided to come here for afternoon brunch. Despite being very busy, the staff greeted us with smiles and found us a table to sit at. The waitress that took our orders was friendly and helpful and the food arrived super quick. The waiter that brought it all out to us was happy, funny and again; helped us out with any questions we had. Although we aren’t from this area, we have all agreed that we’d love to come back and eat here again!!

Friendly and efficient service, lovely eggs and coffee, and a sunny table made for a great leisurely breakfast this morning. Would go back.

The food was great, however half way through the meal the waitress came over with the card machine and gestured we should pay. Not only do I find this to be rude, we were mid-way through a conversation and our cutlery was not positioned to signify we had finished our meal. A very disappointing and off-putting experience. Will not be visiting again!

We walked upon Baked whilst looking for a place to have lunch. It was almost full with a lovely atmosphere so we grabbed one of the last tables. Lovely coffee and eggs Royal for me. Hubby enjoyed his Eggs with chorizo - fabulously spicy. Would totally recommend.

I have to say I was pretty disappointed with the food here. The interior of the place is wonderful including the service. I was really excited because the menu looked so good. I had the meat brekkie and it wasnt very hot. Everything was quite greasy and the eggs were over cooked and didnt taste of much. We also ordered the tortilla breakfast which was quite nice and my finance had the vegan breakfast which he liked but the portion of tofu was tiny. I really think this could be an amazing place.

Black Americano my go to drink & almond croissant. Really smooth coffee not too harsh but a mixture of appropriate bitterness and crema smoothness. Almond croissant very fresh & evenly spread filling. People were tucking into full English breakfasts, & a host of other brekky variations. In the loo I overheard a conversation from the kitchen which suggested a member of staff was undergoing induction & really liked the reassuring words & advice about staying hydrated even when busy.Really good experience. Will seek this out again. Maybe go for a big breakfast.Well done.

Lovely cafe with a good selection of food and drinks. The food is fresh and tasty as is the coffees and smoothies. I really enjoyed the breakfast with avacado, chorizo and poached eggs. The pineapple and mango smoothie is a lovely treat aswel! On the second occasion I had a sausage sandwich, not particularly fond of the sausages used but that's just my preference, I overheard the table beside me delighted with the 'best sausage ever'! Reasonable prices, reasonable waiting time and solid breakfast. All in all you shouldn't be disappointed. If you're in a rush to eat or like loads of space maybe not the best choice for you.

Had breakfast there two days running. First breakfast good , just poached egg on toast with tea. Then today (Saturday ) of the pride weekend , found there was just a special menu... restricted choices and it seemed increased prices. . £12 for a full.English. We paid this for a breakfast at Brassiere of Light (selfridges)which included orange juicen, silver services and unlimited tea. Can't complain about the service which was good. But we.noticed that this was not the only restaurant charging more than what we pay in London ... and it left us wondering why?

I have only given Baked a 4 star as we only had coffee and the pancake stack to share, the coffee (flat white) was excellent!! Looking at other food orders , they looked amazing!! Will definitely come back again and try the other culinary delights!

Lovely experience with their friendly staff! And I definitely recommend the Feta Eggs, which comes with a delicious basil pesto, and/or Coconut Pistachio Porridge. They were so great that I forgot to take any pictures!! 🤣

Loved this small cafe, had coffee and cake one afternoon and sat outside on one of their pavement tables for breakfast there the following sunny day.

Came here with my grown up daughters and my parents for Brunch/lunch. Delicious food, beautifully presented and extremely tasty. Waiting staff delightful. So glad we tried this little gem. No complaints from any of our party and 5 empty plates!! Not the cheapest but well worth the money.

Visited late morning and the cafe appeared very busy, however once entering we were informed that there is more seating downstairs. We had table service due to this, unsure if you order at the counter upstairs as there was a bit of a queue when we arrived. I opted for the iced cucumber and mint green tea. This was delicious, very refreshing and nicely presented. For brunch I chose the Eggs Royale which was beautiful, both of my friends went for feta eggs with sour dough bread which the both said was equally delicious. Service was prompt and friendly. Very reasonable priced especially considering the location. There is also a range of art on show which is for sale. Would definitely recommend visiting here if you are in the area and I would definitely return.

What a great find! Baked is easy to find on Church Road. Smallish upstairs and outside table and chairs, but don't be put off there are tables downstairs. Fabulous menu, we had a variety of course! Corn fritters, vegan options, pancakes, eggs benedict. HOWEVER, go for the beetroot hollandaise eggs benedict, it is to die for. Loved it and thank you. Service was a little slow but there were 7 of us but it came in one go and no errors. Great smoothies too.

Ate here last week, had a late brunch. The menu caters for all tastes including vegan. We really enjoyed the raw hot chocolate, cooked breakfasts and home made traybakes. The service was also excellent. Highly recommend

Perfectly located on Church Rd on the corner of Wilbury with outdoor seating. The coffee tastes great and the ham, poached eggs with hollandaise on bagels are good.

Just had a delicious brunch with my family. The food was fresh, tasty and beautifully presented. The service was faultless - although it was busy, we weren't kept waiting and the witness was excellent! She was professional and had a welcoming smile for everyone. Highly recommend! Thank you!

Nice friendly cafe with good service and a loyalty card scheme. Stairs not disabled-friendly (toilet is down there) but they carry your drink for you.

Having Baked at the bottom of our street is a real added bonus to living in this town . There is always a friendly welcome by very attentive staff. Choice of cooked dishes varied and excellent quality using local produce were possible catering for those with different requirements. Including vegan and gluten free. My favourite is The poached eggs , especially eggs Benedit are .

Another visit to this place at the bottom of my friends road. Great service, smiley lovely faces. Fabulous Eggs Benedict as always although a little slow on the service. It was about half hour for our breakfast to come. That can be totally forgiven though as they are just so popular. Bigger premises are needed I think.

My family and I have gone many times to Baked, we tend to go every weekend in summer. It is absolutely brilliant with a large variety of food, vegan and vegetarian as well as gluten free options available. It is also Dog friendly which is great but if you are not a fan of dogs they are not permitted downstairs, so I recommend you sit there. My personal favourite dish is “Huevos Rancheros” it’s delicious! Juices and smoothies are all freshly made all in all highly recommend!

My friend booked a table for 12 of us plus a toddler to have brunch. Service was lovely and the food was delicious!! I had the ‘perfectly balanced’ smoked salmon and avocado on gluten-free bagel with yoghurt and fresh fruit and a creme brûlée latte with cream and marshmallows - so yummy!!

I have already reviewed this place and praised it, and still kind of do, the service and food is great. But for me it is extremely off putting to go to an eating establishment to be surrounded by dogs! Now I used to own a dog until she passed away at a grand old age and I am also a great animal lover and bit of an activist. I certainly don't eat them or wear them in any shape or form including leather! Now when I had my dog I would not dream of going into a food establishment, I would take a seat outside if need be or leave her at home. But it seems these days certain places are being slack with letting dogs in. I don't want to be surrounded by other peoples dogs while eating food. It's unhygienic in many ways, some people are allergic and some people fear them. There was a time when dogs were just allowed in the bar area of a pub but now they seem to be every where. Even Weatherspoons have banned them due to the staff getting fed up picking up 'messes'. And whats more I saw one of the serving staff, a girl, stroke and caress a dog then without washing her hands proceeded in preparing drinks and taking dishes to customers. Like I said I had a dog and would make sure I washed my hands before dealing with food. And yes I am an animal lover and respect all dearly but it doesn't mean I want to eat my food surrounded by other peoples pooches!!!

When I lived in Hove (20 years ago!) there wasn’t anything nearly as good as this....maybe I should move back. Tried a vegan brekkie...absolutely delicious, and went back a few days later for heuvos rancheros........yum! Latte and chai latte tasty as well. It might look full but there is a lovely basement area as well as outdoor space on a warming day! I will be going back when I’m next in Hove actually!

Really nice place. Lovely friendly staff. Good choice on the menu. Enough veggie/vegan options to keep me happy. Of course I had the veggie brekky which was really good, loved the sausages,. And my partner had the meat one and he too praised his sausage (lol), and commented how nice his breakfast was, he was impressed and it's not often I hear him praise a meal. So will definitely be returning here.

Called in for a late breakfast and the veggie sausage was amazing, so full of flavour it didn’t need the brown sauce!

Coffee is great, reasonable prices, friendly and attentive staff. Good for breakfast, sandwiches, cakes, light bites and some alcoholic beverages. Get’s busy between 10am and 2.30pm weekdays. Definitely worth the visit. We be back soon.

Me and my partner came here for breakfast/brunch at the end of September. It was nice and warm still so we opted to sit outside. The place was packed which was a good sign. We both had the fry ups, it took quite a while for it to come to us but as soon as we went to speak to someone about it it came out! Only problem was it was a bit cold and tasted like it had been sat under a hot lamp for a while. The corn fritter was a nice edition and overall it was lovely and very well priced. We both had a coffee each, I had a large fresh orange juice (well a cup completely full of ice and about 1/4 glass of OJ) and it came to £27 ish. Overall it was nice and we will deffo be back! It’s worth adding that everything looked amazing, someone next to me ordered the pancakes and they looked fab

We were looking for a new breakfast/brunch venue in Hove, since our much loved Igigi cafe sadly closed. We had our pick of a few well reviewed cafes and decided on Baked due to the fact it was busy and that is always a good sign. We weren’t disappointed. Good coffee to start, corn fitters with avocado with a delicious tomato chutney and a really satisfying full breakfast.. followed up with a bracing walk along the Prom....I think we have found our new Hove weekend brunch cafe....

We popped into Baked on a gorgeous sunny morning and ordered a cappuccino and americano at the counter, then luckily found a vacant table outside on the Non-Smoking side. What a brilliant idea for us non-smokers so we can sit outside without having to inhale second hand smoke.

I ordered quiche and salad for lunch at £8. The quiche portion was very small, I complained, and I got another. The salad was also small and unimaginative. On the next table there was a group of builders and they all agreed and were making jokes about it.

Great buzzy little cafe. Had the most delicious lemon drizzle cake and accompanied by a freezing cold iced latte. The brunch on the table next to me also looked amazing. Friendly staff, will definitely be back!

We ordered three full breakfast on a Sunday morning at baked before departing Brighton. The restaurant has excellent reviews and I have to say that Baked lived up to the hype.

Met here at 10am one Thursday for my daughter's birthday. We struggled to get a table for 5, it was very busy. We chose this venue because it was dog friendly and my sister was bringing her dog with her. (Dogs were allowed inside but not downstairs).

Really enjoyed my visit with a friend. We had the vegan breakfast and I was able to switch my mushrooms for a corn fritter which was much appreciated! We had the iced green matcha which was so amazing that we had two each. Service was good and the staff friendly. There was a little easier for the food but given how busy they were (every table was taken) this was to be expected and we didn't mind as we had a great table outside in the sun. They had a couple of vegan cakes/pastries I would've loved to try but the breakfast is big and we had no room - next time! Would thoroughly recommend.

Went for breakfast at baked 2 days in a row. The food is really good. We ended up getting 3 breakfast dishes between 2 of us because we couldn't decide / didn't want to miss out! Highly Recommend.

Myself and my partner went here for breakfast when we visited Brighton and it was definitely worth the 20 minute walk to find it! The pancakes are beautiful, portion is super generous but the they are so light and fluffy you don’t feel sluggish after polishing them off. Would highly recommend and would definitely come back on our next visit.

Decided to go here based on the reviews I had already read, and I can tell you the reviews were not wrong at all. It is a bit of a walk being in the opposite direction of the hit places in Brighton, but it was most definitely worth it. I had pancakes, and they were some of the nicest American style pancakes I have tasted out side of America. I highly recommend for breakfast/brunch

Very nìce atmosphere,friendly staff,coffee was excellent,breakfast was very nice , only criticism is the plate should be hot when served.
