My friend and I attended one of Macaron making classes and we had an amazing time! We made our own macarons to take home, learned little tips and tricks and enjoyed their coffee and cakes. We had such a good time and will definitely be back! Thank you for having us.

Myself and hubby decided to try this place based on reviews on Facebook so we went for a drive out this morning. Upon entering we stood at the front of the counter deciding what to have then hubby went and sat at table. I waited for well over 8 minutes to be served and was ignored. Waiting patiently I was then absolutely gobsmacked when another lady entered and was served at the same counter before me! Hubby instinctively got to his feet and said we were leaving. Upon doing so the lady followed us out apologising profusely and said she didn’t realise I was waiting to be served, was I just standing there for my health then?? 🤣 I pointed out the above and all she could say was she was sorry. Not good enough in my book and we shall not return to a rude, unwelcoming environment where our money is obviously not good enough for you

Wonderful warm welcome and a very cosy corner window table awaits when you visit this cafe. Lovely homemade soup and sandwiches and a large array of tempting cakes and slices to chose from. Breakfast, brunch or afternoon tea catered for at good value. Highly recommended.

Such a warm welcome awaits you when you enter this cafe, the choice of cakes is amazing, you want them all, there is also a choice of hot food too. The latte coffee tastes better than any other coffee I have ever tasted, brilliant cafe well worth a visit.

Nice quaint little coffee shop with good cakes and snacks, I had tea and cake with a family member and it was a nice little place to chill and relax over a brew

Nice village tea shop, usually has a few vegan options (sausage roll, cake). However their cake slices are far too small. Not sure if size differs when taking away. It’s as though they take a standard slice and cut it in half! Not value for money, that’s the only feedback that could be improved.

A little gem of a place. Just what a small village like Brigstock needs. Plenty of mouthwatering snacks, both sweet and savoury, and excellent coffee (other beverages are available…)

I spotted this a couple of weeks back - I cycle to Brigstock from time to time and thought it'd be a nice stop off point. And I wasn't disappointed. Lovely staff, matched by the food. My lemon shortcake cheesecake was the best I have ever had, although the temptation for some of the others on offer was high. Thank heavens it's not right on my doorstep or I would be spherical. Well worth the ride out, and if you're passing, detour time!

Looks pretty from the outside but don’t bother if you’re a dog walker, you’re definitely not welcome! Some ridiculous excuse of having food on display. “You can sit outside” - “What in the rain ?” - “Ah yes sorry”

I was visiting this area & saw the word takeaway on the outside of this cafe & opened the door which was not locked & stood for a few seconds at the counter . I called out hello ! Suddenly a lady who had a foreign accent appeared & I said oh are you open ? She sarcastically said “ do I look like I’m open ?’ I said oh well the door was open & I started to leave & I said there’s no need to be rude . With that in an aggressive manner , she came behind me & said it’s you who is rude & grabbed the door handle I was trying to close & said you came in & the door was shut . I advised softly that the door had been open IE not locked & I had not noticed the sign as was looking for a takeaway meal . I am horrified that this rude woman was so unnecessarily angry & rude to me . I certainly won’t be going back to try this place out when it is open . Cannot imagine that this lady is the owner as she has turned away business . I cannot comment on the food obviously.

Whist holidaying at a local caravan site near Corby, I searched for local tea rooms , and came across a real gem approximately 10 miles away at brigstock , It was run by a couple of lovely young ladies , who were very pleasant and welcoming ,once the Covid QR code was done , we looked at the array of fantastic food and cakes on offer . once we had picked our food we were seated in some comfort by the window and not long before our brews and food came over . Great service , lovely food , fabulous staff . Many thanks ladies, see you again before we head home. Yours Jimmy & Angela

Lovely quiet location with indoor and outdoor seating. We had a dark chocolate mocha, a decaf latte and chocolate, cinnamon and chestnut macaroons. The mocha had dark chocolate flakes added and was brilliant, as was the latte and macaroons. Very friendly staff and a great atmosphere. Thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Although the service in the cafe was slow and the staff forgot to bring me my order, the food was actually very tasty. However, the visit to the toilet was horrendous - the toilet seat in the unisex, accessible toilet had been left up to, to expose the most disgusting orange/brown urine staining (see photo's). I reported this to the store manager, who couldn't have been less interested - despite me showing her the toilet seat, she offered no apology, smiled and stated that it had already been reported and she was already aware of it. I believe she said that it was being addressed next week, so if anyone needs the toilet, you may be better to cross your legs until you can find somewhere more sanitary to use! Very annoyingly, the manager saw fit to speak to somebody on her headset whilst I was talking to her - really disrespectful and patronising. Really not the standard that I expected from Waitrose!

Really a tale of two experiences, arriving slightly later than our booking, not being local anyone that has to negotiate the Rushden Lakes Christmas rush hour traffic will I’m sure sympathise, we enquired at the bar to say we’d arrived, there was no room at the inn here, so we was told to go to the main door, who knew there was two, to check inn, we asked where that was, and the manageress very kindly got one of the young staff to show us (have you worked at Sainsbury’s, well done) however, the queue was back out of the door which, by the time we eventually checked in, the table had been released (I know, it’s our fault for being late) but the phaff in rebooking the table, I didn’t see 8 people come in and take what would have been our original table, was just too much like hard work, eventually we got sat down but told we had to vacate by 645pm which wasn’t a problem. Next challenge, getting a drink and ordering, the app, which would have solved a problem, didn’t allow for amendments, my grandkids didn’t want cheese on the burgers and with no option to do this, I visited the bar. There was two other clients at the bar, one being served and another waiting, I stood on one side and was told, please don’t stand there, stand over there as I need to know who’s next, which I did but then thought, there’s only 2 of us it can’t be that hard to remember, surely if a queue system is needed, then make a sign, though when I was served someone else stood where I was originally, but wasn’t asked to move as another member of staff appeared, begging the question, what if there was a queue All of this didn’t set a precedent for the meal, however I was proved wrong, the meal was served quickly, correctly, hot and with a smile, well done for this element, the hamburgers were wolfed down as was everyone’s meal. Greene King, please just sort out the front of house and ordering experience (bar staff and app) Ps. Question for any HH management, what’s the importance of the black cup you get when you’re taken to the table and the insistence of getting it back half way through the meal?
