Great service here from Evan on 8th October when my partner and I popped in for my birthday lunch. Thank you to the member of staff who took care of dietary requirements and got in what was needed in advance. Will definitely be back soon!

I have only one question??? WHY is a SERVICE CHARGE a COMPULSORY ITEM??? I am a pensioner and a widower who is living on a budget. Good service? Then leaving a tip on the table is OPTIONAL!!!! But NOT a compulsory one.

Booked a post family Wedding brunch at Bill's on Wednesday 18/09/24 at short notice. The Team at Bill's were first class in, not only taking a booking for 14, but for the care, preparation and service they had shown, once they found out it was after a family Wedding for my Partner's Daughter and Son-in-law Lorna and Ed. Our Server, a lovely Lady named Rosie, couldn't be more helpful. Not only did She and the Team prepare the table, but procured balloons, a celebration card and bottle of fizz for our happy couple. First class effort, thank you so much Rosie and Team Bill. We will be back.

What a wonderful evening we had!! The staff were all polite and friendly. Lovely food and great value. Our server dealt with a tricky customer who was sitting near us and couldn’t have been more polite despite the rudeness and the threat of reporting him to head office. I wouldn’t hesitate in visiting again.

I normally like this place I went last Friday with friends and ordered a bunless burger not good.

Avoid at all costs if you have allergies. My mum went to eat there on her birthday and she specifically told them about the two allergies she has, an hour later she was being taken to A&E by ambulance after two adrenaline shots from paramedics. She didn’t go or eat anything in between. Luckily she made a full recovery in the hospital and the way Bill’s dealt with this situation is absolutely shocking. They said they have an external company who ‘investigated’ the incident, no one called us to ask what happened, no CCTV was reviewed, they didn’t even know my mums name when they wrote to us to say they’ve completed their ‘investigation’, and of course they didn’t know any of the details. Absolutely shocking this happens nowadays and I will continue to spread the word about what has happened to us and how Bill’s treated us. Beware if you have any allergies and eat there

Review update September 2024. This restaurant is now cashless. I do not support cashless establishments in today's society. Service was slow. No seating allowed outside until 10am due to staff shortages apparently. The food was very dry with over cooked chicken. Sauces are sparse and I had to ask twice for some. I feel the evening menu prices arnt worth it after the latest menu change. Very dirty outside chair cushions. Rubbish around the back of the restaurant. The menu is different from breakfast to lunch and evening. All of the menus can be seen clearly online. Lots of seating areas both inside and outside, but can get busy especially in the summer so online booking is advised.. They currently have outdoor seating pods for winter outdoor dining. Saying that most of the outdoor area is still covered. You can sit outside with your dog if the dog is well behaved.. The doughnut dessert with chocolate sauce is delicious.. My only negative would be that the cocktails arnt worth the money.

Came here for breakfast and had the breakfast burger (not on their online menu but is instore) - sausage patty, bacon, egg, spinach and cheese sauce. Unfortunately, the burger had no taste. The patty was flavourless, the cheese sauce didn't taste like cheese, it was very bland. This brunch comes with fries, would be good to have an alternative if you're having brunch at 10am like I was 😄 The portion sizes are good however and I can't fault the service as it was pretty busy! The restaurant is really nice, well decorated but this is Bills thing so can't fault that either!

Loved it here great staff.. Danika was so lovely as was Adam.. didn't like watching the blonde girl on f.o.h pick on danika though.. unprofessional.. but great meal and great service when a table of 20 was being attended to..thank you

Very unfortunate experience for myself and family today. Started with a 20 minute wait for anyone to even take our order on what seemed a quiet operational day. People had been sat down 10 minutes after us and were being served and had recieved drinks and a main meal before we had even got our drinks. Even their dog was given water and a cake on arrival! This was then followed by a drink being poured all over myself once we were finally served and no apology to be seen by the waiting staff. We had ordered a sharing meal for three people and they brought only 2 plates. Once we asked for another plate, a completely dirty dish was then given which was sent back immediately. Thankfully they came back with 3 glasses of piss warm water to make up for the disappointment of an experience recieved so far. We were then asked if we wanted to pour the water back into the jug so they could just put ice in the already warm water. By this point we just got up and left. Pitiful

Go to Lago Lounge instead. This place is great if you want your existence to be ignored by the people that work there.

This is now our go-to place for lunch when visiting Rushden Lakes, especially if you’re able to get a table outside. Best book to guarantee a table outside though. For choice it’s great, especially for a coeliac who needs gluten free options.

We went for brunch on a warm late-morning. We sat outside with views of the lake. Service and food both great. Varied menu and good price. Pancakes are huge.

Disappointing! Music to lound, even after asking them to lower the volume. Then asking for a twenty pound service charge, of which we refused to pay. You won't be seeing us again.

Food was good as expected, burger was good, side portions very small though. Team friendly and helpful, though seemed busy, food took much longer to come once ordered or ready. About 40 minutes for mains to come, which is more than usual for our local branch. Atmosphere was nice, inside and outside dining.

Better than I thought it would be, because these places are often staffed by people who have had little customer training. I felt the waiting staff were welcoming and efficient. For example, there was a slight problem with my food, and it was dealt with quickly. Highly recommended.

Today I took my 1 and 2 year old for some lunch and to make the most of the fantastic Kids Eat Free offer. When I arrived a lovely waitress helped us to our table, I didn’t get her name. And she waited with my sons while I went to the WC. Another fab waitress Miriam, also waited and helped entertain the boys. They couldn’t do enough for us. My toddler was having a meltdown. They went above and beyond in offering to help. Miriam even gave him her own phone for him to watch peppy pig. Once everything had calmed down. I got to enjoy ceaser salad. The boys enjoyed their food and ice cream very much and they even brought out a complimentary drink. 5* service. £22 for all 3 of us! Wow.

Decided to sit outside as it was a nice day. Drinks orders for the party were taken promptly but that was the only positive. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy but after repeated attempts at trying to get someone to take the food order, decided to call it quits after 30 minutes. I would have paid for the drinks by scanning the qr code on the table but that would have meant agreeing to pay a 12% service charge. I therefore had to get a member of staff to sort this out and she showed no surprise or concern about the poor service.

Thank you for ruining our day 🥺 After several hours of shopping, we wanted to have a drink and a meal. It was sunny, around 2:20 PM. The lady who greeted us informed us that we could only sit inside. Outside, only a few tables were occupied, so we asked why🤔 since we had come here specifically to enjoy the beautiful weather, have some good food, and enjoy a few drinks in a lovely place. She told us she had already sent the staff home and there was no one to serve us outside. My wife asked if we could order and take everything to the table outside ourselves - unfortunately, the lady refused. My wife REALLY wanted to relax outside, so she asked: if we order just drinks and take them outside ourselves, would that be okay? Again, we were refused. So, we decided to find somewhere else, even though Bill's is our favorite spot here... After a walk around and a few minutes of disappointment, we passed by again and noticed that the lady allowed another couple and a family to sit at the outdoor tables. Feeling sad and disappointed, we going to home in a bad mood. On the way, we stopped at CHI, where we spent our money since Bill's didn't want it.

Really great place to shop, nightmare trying to park but everyone is in the same boat, go early or go late and it will improve. Otherwise lots to see and do 👍

Didn't even go in after a so-called meet and greeter barked at us to go back and wait in the crowded outdoor space to wait to be seated. We looked round and there was no one there so we left. There are ways of getting your customers to comply with the set up without appearing to be more officious than a US Immigration Officer. A customer service course is absolutely needed before you lose more customers!

All food was hot, fresh and delicious. Staff that served us were friendly.

I took my son to Bills in Rushden for his birthday, he has Downs Syndrome and was very excited to celebrate his 36th birthday, the staff were so attentive towards him and made him feel really special, I’d ordered the Birthday Brownie dessert which was bought out with all the staff in attendance singing Happy Birthday, they then presented him with a gift which had been wrapped and had a personal birthday message written on, it turned out our waiter had heard me telling my friend that my son had started at cooking college and was thoroughly enjoying it, so they gave him a Bills Apron for a birthday gift, the staff were all young but so nice, friendly and empathetic, I cannot tell you how much this enhanced not only my son’s birthday but our whole evening, if any parents of Bills staff read this be proud of your son or daughter, they are a credit to you 🤩

Food was reasonable and it’s a lovely setting to eat in, but the service from staff other than the manager is consistently lacking at this Bills. Inattentive and lacking attention to detail - We had to ask numerous times for items, even when it was clear our food was going cold while we waited for sauces for example — it feels like hard work being a customer at this Bills as you are constantly monitoring to see if you are going to get the things you’ve asked for and ultimately what you will be charged for. With a standard 12% service charge added we left feeling there are better places at the Lakes to spend an evening.

I'm not satisfied at all. The waiters ignore you, and I waited a long time for the waiter to come and take the order.

I usually love the food here. However I had the pancakes with bacon and maple syrup this time. Firstly the number of pancakes was too many for me. Would be nice to have option of half quantity. Also more maple syrup required as last 3 pancakes (which my husband had to help me out with!) Were dry. My husbands platter looked delicious.

To be honest I have avoided this place as I came her s few years ago and was under whelmed but the food was good, service was good and I had the flowerpot dessert. Not sure how I felt about eating the edible flowers but I gave it a go and I'm still alive. I will bring the hubby here for a date

The food was excellent, best meal I've had out for ages. However let down by the terrible service. Our waitress was lovely but we waited half an hour for a kids ice cream which never appeared and we had to leave as we couldn't wait any longer. I also don't appreciate a 12.5% tip being automatically added to the bill especially as you have to then ask them to remove it. What a cheek!

Popped in for a beer on our way home. 2 330ml bottles of average beer came to £12.88. Nearly fainted. Charging just shy of £13 for by volume, just over a pint of beer. Don't even think Wembley would have the cheek to charge £12 a pint. Added some stealth charge as well either for a tip or a charge for bringing the bottles over to the table. Didn't get asked about this additional charge in any case. £13 for 660ml of beer. Disgusting.

Ok, this is beyond terrible. This is the 3rd time I am here and the first two times were spot on. Today though, was infuriating. We took the free kids meal deal on bank holiday Monday. They initially served warm battle of lager, when refused, they took 20 mins to serve 2 pints. Dog would not eat the food they served for kids. 2 week old oil, so, bitter chips, bitter fish. Over cooked pie and burnt burger. Just avoid.

I was disappointed with the quality of the food after having waited so long for it, admittedly the restraunt was very busy when we arrived but it took 45 minuites for our food to arrive. The activity sheet menus would have been nice for the kids but they had run out of pencils. I felt for the price I should expect better than standard pub fare, the burger buns were a bit stale and bland and also the house cider was not great.

These comments refer to the menu only - the prawn and salmon salad contained Chipotle sauce, which was not mentioned in the menu and had to be refused because of a chilli/spice intolerance. It took some time to serve a replacement dish which took the edge off our dining experience

I absolutely adore this place, simply because the atmosphere and food is always amazing. The location being Rushden lakes is also beneficial because you can have such a nice stroll either around the shops or around the lake to help digest the delicious food. If you choose to sit inside it can feel a little tight in space and noisy, but I still manage to settle in and forget there are other diners, if it's a nice enough day you can sit outside too and they'll look after you with blankets and extra cushions if you need it. The venue has children's colouring in activities which is an added bonus and the kids menu has a good selection of choices that can be customised. There is an all day breakfast menu, or set 2/3 courses, or a good variety on the main menu. They do specials throughout the year also, depending on what holidays there are. Delicious desserts and cocktails etc. The staff are super friendly. Oh and its dog friendly 👌

A real shame. The burgers were flavourless and luke warm. Given they are buttermilk chicken, it should have been crispy as described but wasn't. I didn't receive my coleslaw either but after trying to get the waiters attention a few times I gave up. Wasn't a good experience at all. At £55+ for two chicken burgers and fries and a small kids burger and fries. It was disappointing to say the least. Highly unlikely to return.

A nice location and set up, but a shame about the service which was slow. Chips arrived cold and we had to send them back.

We have always loved Bills at Rushden! We had Macey serving us today and she was amazing! Friendly, chilled out and went out of her way for us, which i really appreciate.
