Popped for dinner tonight ( Sunday) last minute , staff were very friendly throughout our visit, table and seats were clean, the 4 meals and desserts were all quick to arrive and were hot and tasty, and the staff cleared the table promptly and were keen to ensure we were well catered for. Good value for money and will visit again.

the staff were very accommodating very helpful and were very interactive with the people we were supporting, all food was brought out efficiently considering we was group of 20 plus thank you for making it a great experience for our young people too

FOOD POISONING!! It is the 22nd of march 2025, Me and my girlfriend came here last night, it is now 24 hours later and I'm just getting over the Food Poisoning !! We went for the Friday BOGOF burger deal, usually when you order a burger on any other night between £10 and £13 it comes on a big plate, plenty of chips salad for garnish and well presented, but if you go for the BOGOF it comes out on a tiny little plate maybe a third of the chips you'd normally get and a small burger looking very sorry for itself, they basically slap £3 - £4 worth of food on a plate, so they can still make money on the BOGOF! I had the Texas toast sloppy joe, I went to pick it up and the bottom was wet mush loaded with Greece, and it was absolutely tasteless and disgusting!!, I pushed it away after one bite! that was the only thing I ate yesterday that was different to what my family and girlfriend ate, and everybody else is fine, 02:00 this morning I woke up with a banging headache, from their hot and cold sweats and vomiting all night!! Even my girlfriend said her burger was horrible and what she did eat of it kept repeating on her all night, I did complain but all I got was a pathetic ( oh I'm so sorry) I strongly advise everybody to stay away from this establishment, they've lost my custom indefinitely !!

One of our group had the steak sizzler, it was a tough as an old boot! When we told the server, he said ' it's rump steak, they are all like that ' Not impressed! The chips were a bit naff as well In response to your reply; No, I did not ask to speak to the duty manager, what would they do, chew it up for me? As far as I'm concerned, anyone that works for you, represents you. If the server thought I should have spoken to the duty manager, he should have said so. Also, you could make it easier to reply when you ask a question in your response. The only way I could reply is to edit my original comment

Great place to visit! Good food, decent portions, lovely staff! Found our happy corner there and the staff were so friendly and helpful! Definitely recommend!!

One of the most satisfying lunch places I have been to. Food is cooked to perfection, cost is very reasonable and service is swift.

Come in for brunch with family lovely atmosphere. James was very efficient and cleared away our plates and asked if there was anything else he could get for us.

Booked a table on a loud and busy Saturday evening. Food took a little while to come out but that's to be expected and the staff were really friendly. Didn't realise but the gammon we ordered was missing the onion rings but we enjoyed everything anyway.

Truly enjoy spending time here. Staff are fabulous especially George and Callum who go up and beyond to make sure the customers happy. Lovely pub great drinks great location.

My fav local restaurant! Very welcoming staff and great value food. I've lost count how many times I've visited in total (3 times this week, though!) and have never even been slightly disappointed with either the service or food.

Good for meeting up with friends or take advantage of one of the many offers nice staff.

My arms stuck to the table because it wasn’t wiped. I ordered a sloppy Jo which was barely cooked toast , mince and beans. I wouldn’t call it a meal, more something one would throw together with a hangover and limited food in the house. The staff however were excellent. Kind, welcoming, responsive. The lady on the door was so kind that her laughter was infectious

There were 16 of us in our group. Service was fast and efficient and food cooked and served very well. Highly recommended

I have just received a parking ticket from here! As far as I could see there were no signs telling me I had to put my reg number in if I was staying longer than two hours. My friend has also got one. We have used this as a meeting place many time, always stayed longer than two hours, so I suspect this is a new thing. We won’t be returning and are fighting the charge. Which is a shame as the food is very good for the price.

Food was good, massive portions and a large choice offered. Service was great. We also went for breakfast, the breakfast was good, again big portions and quick to the table

Me and my friend come here twice a week, food is good, and the staff are always really nice and up for having a laugh, great bunch of people, callum, george.and molly are great fun to be around, not sure on the names of others who are equally great at their jobs,and fun at the same time.

Went in for Sunday lunch. Wife had roast beef and I had lamb salad on flatbread. Both were very good and very reasonable price. Only reason for deducting a star is I like ordering at the table rather than the bar.

Christmas dinner at the Needle. Very good service, good size portions, quick delivery and very pleasant staff.

I wanted a nice family meal to celebrate my birthday and that exactly what I got. The servers were kind, friendly and extremely professional. The food was perfect so tasty and the steak were cooked exactly how we wanted them. Everything was great and so well priced

The food is not really ‘high standard ‘, not really cosy, loud annoying children, but the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. To work here, these are the only criteria. And that’s why I will keep coming back here !

Took the children to the wakey warehouse at 5.58pm! The girl behind the counter told us she wasn't letting anyone else in because we have to be there an hour before hand. We showed her the time and she still said no!!. The website says 7pm closes. We only were going to be half an hour 😪

Three good meals, deal of the day so great price.

Live locally and booked here for an 80th Birthday party. We were a group of 25 and the staff were so friendly and looked after us really well. Food was great, the drinks flowed and we had a fantastic afternoon/evening. Thank you :-) The car park is big and easily accessible, but if staying longer than 2.5 hrs like we did, remember to enter your car reg on the system before you leave. Will deffo be back.

Food and service are fantastic. The best Apple&Berry Crumble, with lots of fruits, crunchy oat bits with custard and ice cream.

My family and I have had another meal here tonight and likely won't be going back. Unfortunately although staff are generally nice, there are far too few as we had to hunt someone down to get us seated etc. On arriving, my husband's 'chilli dipper' burger had one spoonfull of chilli in which both burgers were dipped, to the point we asked for this to be rectified and in response staff provided a small rammekin with another spoonfull or two inside. Having had this before at another Hungry Horse where it filled the bottom of the bowl, we expected a better serving. My curry then arrived and albeit I ordered the lamb keema there was only one cube of lamb present (I literally took it out to check the rest), where the rest of the curry was simply peas and onions. The poppadom was also bendy and given we'd already spoken to them about the burger, I didn't want to have to also raise an issue with my meal, so just ate it. Thankfully we had a voucher so didn't pay full price, as we would have felt slightly robbed if we had.

So we went to the Needle & Awl for Christmas dinner. We had never been there before. Can I just say how absolutely lovely it was. We had a very good experience. The staff were very accommodating, attentive & friendly. The portion size was more than enough. We left feeling very full & very happy. It was also great value for money. Thank you all so much. Will definitely book again for next year.
