We've visited here for many years but sadly in the last few months have watched it decline. Cheese on toast but not on toast just bread, dirty cutlery, crockery, etc. However Saturday's visited was our last. Ordered teacake, which came with dirty knife, we had to ask for the jam (which was on menu), overpowering grating air-conditioning, made conversation difficult. NO MILK, for a pot of tea. How can a cafe have NO MILK? When there's so many shops nearby? Opted for coffee machine coffee.. Absolutely disgusting, left such an awful taste in the mouth. One couple walked out and other couple also said dirty knife and no ham with teacake. Yoj are in an excellent prime position, make the most of it and excel. There are far better places to frequent, Milanos, courtyard cafe, tourist information...

Called in at 2:15pm on Saturday for food and coffee Staff member came around mopping the floor with bleach at 2:20pm whilst we were still eating, despite the Cafe being open until 3pm. Had to run out as my partner gets seriously ill from bleach fumes. Still charged full price with no apology from the Staff member. Appalling .

Visited for a drink and a bite to eat. Ordered a coffee and a tea. Waitress came back with just a tea and two cups? Had to ask for coffee again. Bad start! Then ordered ham egg and chips. And burger and chips. Waitress csme back and said they had run out of eggs. So would only do ham and chips. So we settled for that. Then she came back again and said there was no bacon for the burger. So i ordered a cottage pie instead. She came back and said they had no cottage pie!! I was hungry but told her to forget it. We would just have what we had got. Its really bad if the kitchen is not telling front of house what they have run out of. I alwaysi thought ham egg and chips was impossible to get wrong. But the chef managed it by undercooked chips and no eggs. These are all billy basic mistakes that shouldn't happen. Then to top it off the waitress started sweeping and mopping while we where eating. Sweeping dust into the air onto people's food. Just not acceptable. I hate writing Bad reviews but the volume of basic mistakes has made me write this.

Recommended by another business on the street. Great outdoor seating area. Staff not particularly welcoming unfortunately, maybe a bad day. Cakes looked good, however couldn’t taste coffee in coffee and walnut. Coffee very weak. Overall disappointed

We were very impressed by the friendly welcome we received at Baileys - typical of most establishments in Oswestry I am happy to say! And we really enjoyed our little lunch with tea as well!

As a regular customer to Baileys coffee shop I thoroughly enjoy going there for their home-cooked food and I always make sure to have one of the delicious homemade tray bakes or cakes. Highly recommend Baileys to anyone in Oswestry looking for lunch or a take-away.

I arrived in Oswestry on a cold morning, unfamiliar with the town. However, I was made to feel very welcome by the staff in Baileys Coffee Shop. I required just a warm drink, but was not put under any pressure to purchase food. The member of staff who served me was very helpful, friendly and polite. The hot chocolate was very good.

Visit daily, wouldn't go anywhere else, typical honest British cafe. See a notice that the owners support the local school and college with training and work experience. Shame some reviewers don't take that into account, we all had to start somewhere.

Staff in here are great, can't do enough for you. Homemade cake which is to die for- lemon drizzle on this occasion. Cheap price £2.75 and get a hot drink as well. Cost you a fiver in the fancy shops.

We should have walked straight back out but didn't. Think insolence on legs and you're getting close to the attitude of the staff in here. They really couldn't be bothered if we sat down or not. We waited ages for them to come and take our order. As there were only two other tables occupied, it was difficult to see why. The waitress eventually came and stood by our table and just stared at us, almost challenging us to say something. I ordered a prawn sandwich or baguette that was listed as being served with either salad or tortilla chips. She didn't ask me which I preferred. After she'd stomped off we were debating whether to just leave, their attitude was so shocking. Just as we'd decided to walk, the drinks turned up. So when the girl came back and said " we ain't got no prawns" we declined the option to provide a grammar lesson and paid for the drinks and left. It must be one of the worst places, attitude wise, that we've ever been in. Don't bother.

We looked forward to our breakfast today as it was really nice the last time we were here, but we were disappointed today. I asked for my egg to have a soft yolk and for my bacon to be well done yet when the food arrived the egg yolk was hard, my bacon was tough and chewy and the sausage was dried up. my husbands' food wasn't much better. We ate the breakfasts as we were hungry and we don't like to see food go to waste, but when we complained and said would it be ok to have a reduction of the bill, the two staff at the counter looked at each other and said "it'll have to be won't it?" which we found extremely rude. We overheard a couple who left before us complain about their food and the two staff were talking about them after they left which I found very unprofessional. They were obviously having a bad day and we certainly won't be rushing back.

Visited the cafe with a friend who had been in the past. The cafe wasn't busting it took over 20mins for our order to be taken. When it eventually did we had wait well over 5 mins for cans of pop and a following 15 mins for a sandwich and omelettes. The omelettes costing over £3 each were smaller than the hand and the side salad consisted of a slice of tomato and cucumber and some stragglery lettuce and a teaspoon of coleslaw.

We usually go to Bromley's for breakfast but it was closed on Monday and we were pleased it was as we got to try Bailey's cafe instead. Nice selection of breakfasts and reasonably priced too. Service was a little slow but I guess when everything is cooked fresh you don't mind. A little disappointed that basic items like mushrooms, fried tomatoes and black pudding are charged extra, but I guess it keeps the price down for people who just want a basic breakfast.

What a find we were staying at Ludlow Touring site and booked Sunday lunch at The Wheatsheaf . The pub was really welcoming warm and comfortable. We were two couples who went for Sunday lunch and we all agreed it was the best Sunday lunch we had had at a pub and really good value . The beef and lamb were really tender and there was a good selection of vegetables all cooked perfectly. The service was good and nothing too much trouble. Thank you for making our first visit a success

Been for lunch today and ordered the soup carrot and butternut squash which was OK, I asked for a brown roll but instead I got boring sliced brown so i asked for a roll and was told they didn't have any but could get me seedy one, that came straight from the freezer I think and was the so dry it would of made good bread crumbs .not worth £7.45 for the tiny bowl of soup 😡
