Baileys Cafe in Barnsley

Sandwiches were really tasty and fresh. Nice milky coffee. Prices very reasonable. Tables nice and clean. Staff were polite and helpful. Service was brilliant.

went on a visit to the market and popped in for coffee ,pretty basic but clean and the staff are friendly.

considering the price £1.80 for a coffee in a market hall it's absolutely terrible coffee and definitely wont be coming back, and the staff spend too much time talking to people they know and keep others waiting to be served, plates with food on left by customers which doesn't say much for the food quality either!

Had breakfast at this lovely market cafe. Tables were cleared and wiped as they became available. Bit of a cue to order. Menu is massive. Everything from differing sized breakfasts to toasties and roast dinners. Our food and drinks were hot and well cooked. Went back for a coffee in the afternoon equally as good.

Nice, lean bacon. Tasty sausages. Well cooked egg and tomatoes. Fresh bread. Tea was spot on. And the lass serving is a worldie! You can't go wrong here.

We always call and have a healthy choice bacon sandwich . It's now move while they do Barnsley town centre up

I have been here many times and always been pleased with there menu. The healthy options are great and spot on. The last time i went i ordered a jacket potatoe with cheese and tuna with side salad you couldnt get enough it was lovely best one ive ever had in barnsley. The staff are ok that serve at the till sometimes service with a smile could be needed i understand its demanding work especially when busy but positive service is good service.

As a sw member sometimes it's hard to find a place to eat that offer healthy options ... Baileys offer a sw menu as the owner is a member herself The meals are delicious and all cooked fresh to order There menu for everyone is never ending they offer everything including a man v food style breakfast ( need to pre order this) The prices are reasonable too Definitely recommend

The choice is fantastic even low fat and healthy meals as well as normal market breakfast the choice is vast and always cooked well

Grabbed some breakfast today as we were in town early to do some shopping. We called here for a hot sandwich and a cuppa, great staff, good prices and excellent food. They do a range of breakfasts right up to a massive 15.99 version with everything included at least twice. Well worth a visit if you are in need of a cuppa and some food whilst in the market

So, we have not been to Baileys in a few months. Initially went to Rendezvous as I love the toasted tea cakes but OH wanted a breakfast or a bacon sandwich at least. So we went to Baileys. OH ordered his full breakfast, and i the drinks. So here is the first wrinkle, I do not do milk, so ordered a black tea, I was handed a milky coffee. Then the OH inspected his drink and it was only half full the rest was froth. He asked for a full cup, so they just added water, making it dregs. We discovered this when we sat down and moments later his breakfast arrived it looked awful (more of this in a moment) so the coffee was returned. The breakfast looked horrific, the sausages were barely cooked (there was a sinlg strip of brown sausage and the rest was white, the bacon was hidden under the bread, the tomatoes were stone cold. It was a mess, it looked unappealing and dreadful, so when the correct coffee came back we decided that the moment had gone and to leave. I was so annoyed and disappointed that could not even be bothered to demand a refund. We left. What I do not understand is what went wrong, i should have paid more attention as the other cafes were all busier than baileys. It always used to be so good, and it was awful, i have looked at the pics people have posted and I promise you the breakfast we were served looked nothing like what we were served.. Really annoyed also as there is a sign saying please be clear about having a black tea or coffee. Such a shame as it was always a place we could rely upon.

Returned for the Man vs Food Breakfast Challenge. Delicious food and plenty of it. Managed to finish it in 1 hour 20 minutes. Great staff encouraging me and a nice young lady with plenty of patience watching me for the duration! Highly recommended!

Drove 30 minutes to try the Off The Scale Breakfast. Really nice food served by helpful and polite staff. Will be back for the Man vs Food challenge at some point. Highly recommended!

I have visited the cafes in the market, the food at each place is repetitive except when you eat at Baileys. They have an excellent slimmers menu. Serve a good quality cooked English breakfast and the options and menus vary daily. I would agree with the comments about moving out of the market. It's kind of hidden away up there. It also brings in only people who are looking to eat in a market cafe, when it really could be so much more on the right premises. It was a better move from the old shop where there was very little seating but I think on the right premises this place could be a real competitor for the food places in Barnsley. Definitely worth a visit. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Have eaten here for aeons it's the best in the market, good quality food and good service, always looking for new ways to improve and constantly new items to try, good "healthy choice" menu (nudge nudge wink wink S******g W***d) and staff and owner always try to advise and help where possible...... Can't promote this place enough.

The food here is gorgeous I eat here all the time they have so much choice (including a full slimming world menu) from pies to wraps to the biggest tastiest burgers I've ever seen ..highly recommend to everyone ☕️

If you like a top quality breakfast that's not swimming in grease, then Baileys is your place! Absolutely gorgeous. All her staff are so friendly and helpful.

Love the healthy menus has plenty of choices great service and the food is always pipping hot and freshly made for anyone on slimming world this is the cafe for you the pek and peas,mushy are absolutely fantastic I go here for breakfast,lunch,or dinner depending on the time and always get a fan meal

I really do like Baileys café, the food is good but I think it is better than the market, the atmosphere is not good at all and some of the staff could do with improving, get out of the market.

I come here regularly through the week when I'm in town the food is sublime and gorgoues the staff are friendly the service is good would recommend it to people

I have visited baileys loads on my visits to Barnsley and have never tried any other as this is tops.They have everything to offer on the menu from childrens meals, small appetites, healthy eating following a certain diet, vegetarian, man v food ( to pre order) and always bringing new things to the menu to keep it upto date.Baileys even offer a telephone number so you can ring and order to collect which is brilliant if you work and pushed for time.the staff are always friendly and happy and the restaurant is always clean and tidyI would defo recommend

Service shocking food not fit for human consumption. Slimming world ? Yeah coz it makes u sick. Staff very rude. Owner even worse. Hygiene ??? Not a clue.

Full Breakfasts, English Lunches, Slimming World Food, Paninis, Cottage Pie, Lasagna, The Pork Sandwich is awesome!!!!!!!!
